My weird autism thing is that when I really like a particular work of fiction, I reimagine it as taking place in the universe of a different work of fiction with characters, locations, and other concepts from that work replacing the ones from the original story, but the actual plot itself staying pretty much exactly the same. Like, my two biggest ones recently are imagining Order of the Stick as a Super Mario Bros fanfic in the same vein as Super Mario Bros Z and imaging Pokemon Adventures as a Shovel Knight sprite comic. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?

I LOVE Super Mario Bros Z.

It is so awesome Im gonna rewatch it this weekend (which is uhm like the past for you reader right now because I queue these)

It made me LOVE Mecha Sonic... not regular Sonic though still mixed on him but Mechas just so cool Im ecstatic they canonised "I'LL CRUSH YOU" thats brilliant

Hope he shows up in Sonic 17 (Im not sure how many Sonics there are Im guessing here)

metallix (smbz) redesign)

despite undeniable quality of the smbz reboot, i do not like metallix's design all that much. its just metal sonics head on bass's body with silver tips. i feel like this is also a probem when it comes to other oc designs in both smbz and general sprite animations. while i get most sprite animators arent artists, i still feel like theres a lot of missed potential stuff you could do with designs of characters in sprite animations beyond mild sprite edits.

My natural response to hearing a Mario 64 cover of Undefeatable, because I'm neither normal about Mario 64 or Sonic the Hedgehog.

Mario 64 re-enactment of a shot from the first Super Sonic boss fight in Sonic Frontiers, using purely Mario 64 assets minus modified Mario textures, palette and a recolored fire texture for the aura.

Mario was posed using MMD and a port of Mario's model by SAB64, and then green-screened and chroma-keyed into FireAlpaca where I edited in the rest of the assets!
