Family Portrait ✨

I really tried hard with this one 😭

Ya know drawing this I realized this could be an old family portrait, probably when the boys were in their late teens! I tried really hard with Papa Mario (Charles I like to call him)

I also have a little headcanon that Luigi didn’t cut his hair until maybe the tv commercial? I like the idea of Luigi having a mullet only to cut it in the hot summers maybe? In the movie you can see or I think his hair might be longer than Mario’s tho that could just be him having a longer head and neck.

Anyways I got a lot of ideas drawing this and it was fun! I kinda figured Charles (papa Mario) is balding hence the receding hairline. I also like to play with the idea that Mia (mama Mario) asked Luigi to cut his hair for the picture but he like a older teen forgot lol

So she just had to make do haha! I tried with Mario but I couldn’t get his head just like it was in the portrait but I kinda like how it all turned out!

Another prime example of the detailing, look at the shyguy in the middle there. He knows something's gonna happen and he's getting down to hide/run.

i love this stupid moment i quote it so often. it's such a dumb corny illumination line coming out of a super mario dry bones i'm so obsessed with it to this day
