who are your go-to fic authors?

I tend to read a fic and if I like it I go through and read all of the authors other works in AFTG and bookmark my favorites, some are more or less in character than others, or depending on your interpretation of that character and how you feel they may act different in a different scenario, such as different interpretations of Neils sexuality.

My bookmarks have a decent amount of repeating authors such as: moonix, puddlejumper99, mostly_maudlin, profenity, agentcoop, sinistercacophony, flybbfly, badacts, and sunrise_and_death. I haven't re-read through them in a minute but am trying to go back and reread. I stopped reading AFTG fics for around 3 years now but started up again, sometimes I sort things from oldest to newest on AO3 too.

Id say my favorites where I feel the author really feels similarly about the characters as me and are my 100% go-to's are:

profenity, sinistercacophony, and sunrise_and_death.

They all still have their own unique way of writing and showing the characters, but the characters are definitely recognizable as the ones we see in the books, just in different scenarios. the characters are still just as complex and distinctly "fox".

The Travelers 'Verse by @sunrise_and_death

This universe that @sunrise_and_death created is super cool. It reminds me a lot of Sense8 which is probably my favorite show of all time. It's very similar to like a soulmate au but where instead of having a soulmate you have a traveler that can "visit" with when you turn a certain age. The rest of the story is mostly canon and you see Neil on the run and watch the love and admiration grow between Neil and Andrew. It's quite long and wonderful and still being updated.

Neil Josten's Vendetta by Luci_Cunt

This is another au where Andrew is a criminal justice student and is looking for a killer and said killer is Neil. Neil needs a roommate, he gets Andrew. Which is fine, until Andrew is the first person to connect all of Neil’s victims and actually start figuring out who is killing all of the Butcher of Baltimore’s people. Then Neil starts having some issues. It only gets worse when Andrew accidentally discovers a whole new Japanese-flavored layer to Neil's personal vendetta.

I started reading it because the second part is Aaron and Andrew in their joint session with Bee and she points out that the twinyards have the same taste in people. You get so many povs and a real insight in the different relationships of the twinayrds, neil and katelyn. It shows a cute friendship between katelyn and neil as well. It is fully complete too.

My comments:  A very endearing story from lsz POV in which the other Juniors are jealous because wwx shows such clear favoritism towards him. And Jin Ling is even MORE jealous (and prickly with it, as always). So a revelation is made, and reactions are had. Meanwhile, lsz has been trying to convince wwx to come home and getting a pretty thin excuse.... Someone needs to straighten out the Seniors!
