As was so often the case at this time of year - in fact, at almost any time of year on the wild west coast of the Scottish Highlands - it was getting a wee bit windy, and if Algy was not very much mistaken, it would soon be "blawin' a hoolie".

But Algy was hungry, and didn't want to wait until the gale had blown itself out, for in any case the sky was turning black and the islands in the Sea of the Hebrides were blotted out by mist, and he was sure that before long he would be getting thoroughly drenched again, as well as blasted by the wind.

So, while it was still more or less dry, Algy hopped up into a cotoneaster bush laden with luscious scarlet berries and did his best to catch some as the wind blew them past his beak, but unfortunately it wasn't quite as easy as he had anticipated…

Algy hopes that you will all have a calm and happy Sunday, with a wee Sunday feast that is not quite so difficult to enjoy 😀
