Wake Up, Sunshine
As the piano of a somber night closes its fallboard, the sustain ringing out one last lingering chord,
I fight gravity, life, myself, & rise from bed in the deep dark. Then like a rocket & its thrusters
lifting off, I arrive at the window to sweep away the curtains, pull up the blinds, &
pretend to wake the world with a yawp, summoning the sun like a warm crescendo.
He rises with the wind, peeking over rooftops, holding his sonorous “O” in greeting “Hello.”
Ah, Sunshine with his music, sometimes dampened beyond clouds, sometimes bare & bold,
arching across the sky in his gentle parabola. Good morning, I cheer, allowing his light
to grant me a metamorphosis. My armor cracks, my shield falls, my sword sheathes, my old self
sheds away… Yes, Sunshine with his music. As his daylight cleanses, my shadows diminish.

☀ I can see the sun ☀
Today As I wake up again A sweet and tender light caresses my face And for the first time in a while I can see the sun
Today As the night falls once more I can still feel its presence Like an undying warmth Not willing to let my heart go Today Following its path The sun rises again Bathing my skin with its light How good it is to be touched with such softness Today My sun came back And for the first time in my life I am certain it is meant to stay Like a never ending cycle of love After staying in the cold dark night for so long Today I can see the sun again The night seems less cold My heart seems less empty The sky is finally full
Today I watch the sun rise again I catch a ray of sunshine in my hand And keep it close Just in case my mind gets unmerciful again To remind myself it will always stay To remind myself I am not alone And I can't wait to write about tomorrow As long as it colors my sky every morning And as long as I crave it during the night
Tomorrow I want to see you again

Nature’s way
The moon shines brightly tonight
While the sweet sunlight slides away
The stars blink in happy delight
And I can’t help but think of the way
Your lips move with the wind’s flow
And I think you already know how much
I love your nose
Reminds me of a Greek statue, pose
For the camera, my rose-
Coloured filter captures your picture
Your tattoos show and you are just
Too cute not to blow
Off

The sun
The sun is warm, and loving, and graceful. The sun is beautiful. The sun warms me when I'm cold, keeps me company while I'm in the garden, kindly wakes me in the morning, and gently kisses my face with such soft warmth. I wish for nothing more than to have you take the place of the sun. You would do such a good job. You're so warm, and loving, and graceful. And you're so, so beautiful. You keep me warm, by holding my hand or giving me a hug. You keep me company during the most mundane of task. You wake me with good morning messages every day. And you kiss me with such kindness and sweetness that it sets my heart a blaze. If you're the sun, then I would gladly be your moon. Nothing gives me more joy than reflecting your warmth and light. Without you, I'm dark and cold, blending into the massive void of space. But with you? I shine. You warmth lights me and allows me to glow, just like you do. Oh for you to be the sun. Oh to be your moon. Oh to be yours. I'm yours. The dark to your light. The solitude to your company. The cold to your warmth. The moon to your sun.

pink sweat drips from the sky
the sun heartily cries
it is time to say goodbye
so leave her behind
and head into the night
to embrace the dark light
the moon comes tonight

The moon is bright tonight,
Silver and big.
Listen to the poets
As they compare it love.
Old and distant,
Always changing,
Forever remaining.
- -
The sun is strong today.
Hot and scorning,
But gives life.
Notice the poets
As they compare it to love.
Warms you to the bones,
As long as you are careful
Not to be burnt.
- -
The stars are bright tonight.
Little they are but many,
Always sprinkling and sparking.
Hold dear the poets
As they compare them to love.
Always overhead,
No matter how few,
They are the reminders of light.

My Sun.
She is the center of everything.
Light, my warmth.
Surrounded by comets, meteors, and planets
She is alone, and yet, she is not lonely.
She continues to shine.
She holds everything together.

I prayed to the moon and the stars for guidance as they lit up the night's lonesome darkness.
I asked them if you weren't the one for me, to give a sign and they directed me to the sun.
Waiting when the time was right, I dreaded to ask my longing question.
The sun which showed all the paths and shone on each possibility, I asked with hesitation.
'If he is not the one for me, show me a sign to spare me the heartache I've come accustomed to. That I can find the love and strength to find myself.
If he is, I pray that we can overcome and to continue to see eachother til the end of our time. To respect and to grow in love. The partner in my life.'
The sun revolved, and soon the moon did too. They passed by me, tailing one another as the days went through.
Dawn came where they brought me you.
You told me all the things I heard but didn't listen to, your fears and worries which I tried to comfort only to suffocate you. I've told you on my end which was the same.
Ive been hurt too.
I know I was looking for the answer for so long but I knew deep down the truth.
I asked for a sign, if to be removed to save me, but I didn't want it to show because I knew that I already lost you.
Maybe in a different time, I prayed that we would get to meet again and do everything right. If there was a way, we wouldn't have learned so for now, It is goodbye.

When the Sun loves the Moon
When the Sun loves the Moon, there isn't much to it.
They promise at sunrise and are together at noon,
And oh, how it makes the both of them swoon.
They love and long for,
forever and ever,
An eternity at last.
They must've known each other from somewhere in the past.
Perhaps another life they met,
Under different circumstances that they did not regret,
It hadn't mattered.
Yet, if there were a past life they once had, it would only make them more glad.
It was just them.
The Sun,
And the moon.
Loving,
And Longing.
Promising at sunrise,
Together at noon.
The Moon's Yin,
And the Sun's Yang.
A set of rings shared between them,
They won’t ever let go.
Not again,
Not like they once were way back when.
So let me rephrase it,
When the Sun loves the Moon, there is a lot to it.

You sacrificed it all
For the version of me you thought I was
But people change, it was just a phase
You were the sun, I was the moon
We never really met,
Really got to know our shadows
Only the light, the fun part
Where most people stay at
But I wanted more than that
I wanted to merge
I wanted an eclipse

she is the sun,
ablaze and light, she burns
and burns and burns again
just to keep people warm;
and everyone loves the sunlight,
but no one could bare to be too close.
all those earths,
those saturns and neptunes,
those moons keeping her for they
are afraid of the dark,
but she is my god —
let me fall to ashes to be close enough.
haven't martyr and mercury got
the same taste rolling down the tongue?
— shewasholy, sunlight.

the Sun and i formed a Moon Shaking Connection
tighly knit
by a thick, Dirty Rope
some sort of Pollution caught up to Us
i had to untie
and so The Rope started disintegrating
with ashes spreading down and sinking into the sea, and italy
You, Europe and Me
eaten, broken down by fish in the deep Sea
a distant Routine Of Love, doomed to disappear
But I Still Hold On To Your Memory.
Your Rays Of SunShine,
Running Through My Craters,
Down To My Far Side,
And Slide To My Shoulder,
To Pull Me In,
To Your Core,
And With My Face In Your Chest,
We Slumbered.
My Best Friend
Will You Forgive Me?
I Used To Believe The Sun And The Moon Were Meant To Be
But It's Not Only Up To Me
For Now, I Will Leave You Be
My Lovely
