Excerpt from Chapter Three, The Lotus fuels the Flame, of my Successor AU fic:
Nezha and Redson
Mac and Mei drawing Wuk and Mk drawing
This takes place before the timeskip in the story. Since Redson was basically raised by Nezha in this AU, I gave Redson an outfit that more resembled Nezha's style. I also simplified Nezha's (and everyone else's outfits) because I prefer simplicity. And because it makes it easier to draw these characters over and over again.
----
Q & A:
What is the Successor AU? -An alternate universe where Mei and Mk were born in the same era that Redson was. -Macaque raised Mei, Wukong raised Mk, and Nezha raised Redson. -Story has shadowpeach implications in it. Don't like? Don't read.
What are the changes to this universe? -Shapeshifting and glamour don't exist. Hence why Macaque can't hide his eye or his ears. -Macaque was on the Journey to the West with Wukong -Wukong never killed Macaque in this AU -And other changes, but for the most part, it's the same.
When and Where does it take place? -The story takes place around 95 years after the journey to the west ended. So it takes place in like ancient times. -Takes place in China (supposedly, I mean, I'm assuming the JTTW took place in China.)
Why did Macaque, Wukong, and Nezha raise those three? -I can't answer for Macaque and Mei cuz that's a spoiler. -Nuwa created and gave Mk's stone egg to Wukong as a sort of challenge to see if he could raise a child. (There's more detail to it but that'd be a spoiler.) -Nezha is the god of children, so he took it upon himself to take responsibility for Redson after Princess Iron Fan was put in jail. He calls himself Redson's "older brother."
What's the story summary? -Basically, I just wanted to create a possessive Wukong AU. Most of the story is basically a game of hide and seek. Where over the years, Wukong tries to find Macaque but keeps just missing him. Redson finds Mk stuck on Flower Fruit Mountain and they bond over time. Mei eventually finds Redson and Mk while she was on her own journey. Read the story to find out what happens!

*puts on my Professor glasses* Macky really knows EXACTLY how to talk to Wukong, let's dissect it! M: Looks like things are going smoothly. W: I say, you've been here the whole time, haven't you? M: FFM is your home, but it's also mine. W: Did you find anything? M: Still nothing, however. Now the Jade Emperor is no longer present. The Celestial Realm already gives me an unsettling feeling. M: Wukong...that kid. W: I understand. M: You have to go and talk to him. W: I know! But...he still isn't ready. M: I see. You're the one who isn't ready, yet. How did you even become a teacher! M: He has to be. We all have to be realistic. W: He's just a kid. We can't let him... M: Who says he's just a kid! Why is it him? When you chose him, did you know? W: I didn't know, I really didn't know! I just followed...a feeling. M: Are you not the least bit worried?! This child has all of your special powers, and he always runs into trouble. Have you never questioned this before? Not a single person knows where he came from. Is it not strange?! M: We still have no clue as to whoever let out Azure Lion. All your old foes returned in one swoop. Are you not even a little- W: Then what about you? You also suddenly came back. M: Argh- M: I say, someone must be manipulating us behind our backs. Especially Xiaotian. But they still haven't succeeded. W: Then tell me. What about you? M: Tell me do you want my help or not?! / W: Not long ago you were still against me! / M: I see, you're just a- / W: ...after I assume you'll teach me how to train my own disciples? ~ Xiaotian Interupts ~ M: Look. That kid has made you his idol. You're his one true hero, but you... W: But I what? M: He has to understand, he doesn't need to carry these burdens. You have to do better. You can really tell whose the chatty one in this relationship XD Wukong might be a lil annoyed, but he's tolerant. And Macky is a little playful turd as always. Where Wukong gets gloomy and concerned, Mac swaps between teasing and serious in a blink. Then things get a lot more strained and tense, but unlike their previous fights, it never escalates into violence. Never a growl, never a raised fist. They're right at the edge, and they drop it. I'm very much interested in the psychology of arguments and when it comes to people latching onto (1) thing a person says and relating it slightly off topic to avoid talking about that other thing, like Wukong is doing here. It's so cool seeing how physical they are in trying to visibly control their emotions around each other, and how they keep trying to hold themselves back from tearing in further, always pausing and halting, and switching to another thing. They're TRYING. Ugh. I think Mac was trying to give a comforting smile at the end, but it's kinda warped by the whole ~ everything else. ~ Anyhow, I like how this starts with Wukong establishing, or rather cementing to Macaque that he believes MK is a kid. And while Macaque argues against that, he did also say before that Wukong should talk to him. And they have their squabble, with Mac pushing Wukong's buttons to get him to say something, BUT the fact this gets resolved with he needs to understand he doesn't need to carry these burdens. YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER. Like of all things Mac could have chosen. He's playing right into what Wukong himself believes, that will overwrite the "MK isn't ready" thing. Because let's face it. Mac is right when he says Wukong also isn't ready for that talk yet. He's so down throughout all this, Wukong probably feels himself that he needs to be better. AND by appealing to the fact MK is a kid, without explicitly stating that, just a statement that cannot be denied, BUT is a subject that undoubtedly, even Wukong cannot avoid. Because he wants better for MK. For him to not walk down the same path as him. Macaque has basically nudged Wukong into having that talk he wanted with MK by reframing it differently from what Wukong wasn't ready for. Thoughts? Critique?
*squishes you* anon…anon, you’re telling me..that this was the actual dialogue between SWK and Macky in 5x01. that what i just read is the translated version of the Mandarin dub. correct?
ok ok cool. i’m cool. gucci. feeling fantastic lemme just
WHAT THE FUCK LMK
ok so i ranted in the tags but realized i forgot to say more things (also i was worried i’d exceed the tag limit bc that is a real thing what do you know!)
so, anon, you said Macky knows how to talk to Wukong and yeah agreed but for me it’s for of the sense of “Macky knows how to get his words under Wukong’s skin”
he knows how to let his words sink in and fester in Wukong’s mind, making him reconsider things or another to help speed up certain decisions or choices Wukong is hesitating on. and ain’t it fascinating how despite how long it’s been since either character have talked or interacted with each other, they still know the ins and outs of their behavior and thoughts.
Macky knows Wukong needs to talk to MK but is holding back. Macky after one answer from Wukong realizes that it’s Wukong who isn’t ready for that conversation and switches tactics to try and breach that mental block
Wukong, in a need to avoid the conversation, brings up the questions surrounding Macky’s reason for even being alive again because that is information neither have talked about and oh hey! Macky is avoiding that conversation too! and it’s an important one to have so he pushes for it, but Macky knows it’s being pushed to avoid their original discussion and is annoyed bc “classic Wukong, never wanting to delve too deep into topics where he’ll need to be vulnerable for” (especially when said vulnerability is with his newly re-allied ex friend Macaroni himself)
god i love them

Adorable
So… I have this au idea. Kind of a part two to this post.
Where Wukong met MK when he was a kid and I thought… what if he takes him in. So, in the au MK’s mom died in an accident and none of his family wants to take him. (His father was never in the picture) Wukong (like he said in the original post) kept an eye on him so knew about the situation and was like “I am the Monkey King. I’ve faced demons and thinks that like raising a child shouldn’t be that hard… right” so took him in (yes it was legally)
So I’m calling this au the adoption au (I know originally)
Wukong’s plan originally was to stay in his human form and have MK live an ordinary life. He tried to suppress MKs powers but….. it didn’t work much to his surprise. So MK knows and has a hard time keeping it a secret cause his new dad is THE Monkey King and before all that happen he was obsessed with him.

Y/N’s not the Beloved?
(At least, not at first)
Thinking so hard about Y/N just… not being the “beloved” in the yandere dynamics, and instead being the “neglected” party.
Just, like-
It’s not that Sun Wukong and Macaque don’t love you for being their precious adopted kiddo, but… you’re “just” a person, and you don’t have a tail or fur to groom like them. You can’t climb as well as they can, and you don’t have fangs. And you just aren’t strong enough to keep up.
So there’s this inherent disparity, and you feel sometimes more like a guest than a member of the family.
But then MK’s rock comes along! And then it hatches and there’s a new little monkey in the family for them dote on! They have a new baby, one that’s just like them!
In a way that you just… aren’t.
You just can’t compare. Sure, they still love you- you’re never hungry or cold, your clothes are plentiful, and they still support your interests, but…
They just don’t love you like they love him.
Because MK gets the nicest things, in all the ways you didn’t. He gets brand new clothes just right for a growing boy with a true form that fractures in and out of existence. But many of your “new” clothes have to be hastily sewn up because they’re hand-me-downs from Papa, and they had ear and tail slits- they were made for Mystic Monkeys, after all!
(And you aren’t one of them, no matter how hard you try to be.)
And MK gets his favorite foods and snacks whenever he asks, no matter how far Baba has to travel or how many stores his clones have to trawl to find those illusive treats. And when he digs in, you think of the times Papa taught you to “appreciate” his hard work in the kitchen by making you eat every bite of a meal he made, even if you gagged and coughed through it… but MK gets full impunity to have sides replaced whenever he decides a food is “yucky” without even trying it.
You got gifts for being well-behaved or accomplishing goals, but MK gets them for simply asking. You got money by doing extra chores or babysitting the mountain monkeys. MK is given it because your dads are in a good mood.
Not to mention how many of your hobbies and free days are undermined because you “need” to babysit the favorite child.
So on, and so forth.
And then one day it all grinds to a peak and you can’t take the favoritism anymore, so you eventually have the quietest messy breakdown known to man in the ungodly hours of the morning. When you finally manage to pull yourself together, the decision is promptly made- with a tightly-packed bag in tow, you sneak out through a window, clamber down the house walls, and disappear beyond the horizon.
And Macaque and Wukong are devastated, obviously. Sure, you aren’t the “beloved”, which is clearly MK, but you’re still their baby!
BUT! It gets even worse, because for all the worry in their hearts, MK is even worse!
He throws tantrums and rejects food and has uncontrollable fits where he bites bloody marks into his arms through hysteric tears. And even when the kiddo isn’t screaming his bloodied little mouth off, it’s only to scream for you to come back.
So, while they would’ve always made an honest effort to bring you back home (this is your home, even if it doesn’t always feel like it), having their “beloved” child start to genuinely harm himself over your absence only ramps up the efforts to get their first kid back.
“Open the door,” comes your papa’s tempered voice, barely second after you’ve registered the knock. “C’mon, kiddo. We need to talk.”
His foot meets the wooden door, tapping and testing the strength- not that there was really any question he could clear the flimsy barrier.
Tap. Tap.
At the pause, you drop everything and scramble into the closet, right as Macaque kicks through the door with a huff. The leather of his boot catches the light with a dark gleam, but he retracts it and readies for another blow.
“You in, Mac?”
“Not yet- I missed.”
His next strike lands true, shredding the cheap doorknob out of place so forcefully that it tears through the glass window behind it and disappears into the bushes behind the hotel, entirely flattened into a copper disk.
“Not bad,” cheers Wukong, peering into the wrecked room. “Not bad at all, bud!”
With a hand clasped over your mouth to muffle the sound of shallow breathing, you hunker down and wait- with a bitter thought at how casual they are about all this.
Didn’t they realize how badly hurt you were by the unabashed favoritism, the constant coming in second, the unending isolation?
How could they treat this like a casual outing?
“Alright, bud- pack your bags and put on something warm! We’re heading home!
Just barely you manage to bite back a cry of frustration over this miserable circumstance, expected to return to a home that had essentially shunted you aside.
“C’mon, brat. Did you really think we’d let you spend any more time in this hellhole? The mountain is a lot safer, anyways.”
You don’t even realize that Macaque is reaching into the closet until he has your upper arm in his hold, pulling until you’ve cleared the wooden threshold molding between your sanctuary and the living space.
Barely even on your feet, Wukong is upon you with a scarf, wrapping it tight and finishing with a neat bow.
“You know, MK really missed you,” he sighs, thinking of tantrums that spanned hours and the smell of mold in the kitchen when food the child flung had spilled under the counter and gone unnoticed for far too long.
Why should you care that their baby was suffering?
But whether you care or not (and they’re certainly not waiting for your opinion), they’re going to take you “home”.
With Wukong’s hand to wrap around your shoulders and Macaque’s to grip your wrist, they slowly march the way back to the precious little Mystic Monkey that you’ve come to hate.
And though your heart turns over at the sight of MK wailing on the floor, there’s this strange discomfort that arises when they call it that:
“Y/N is back!”
and it prompts an immediate end of his formerly hysterical waterworks?
Because he runs to you and throws both of his chubby little arms around your legs, demanding that you “never ever leave again!” and both of your dads are right behind him, because their son gets whatever he wants, when he wants it-
And what MK wants is you.

Unloved Beloved
One person already shared their idea for @itsabouttimex2’s platonic yan AU, “Not The Beloved” (go check it out if you haven’t already) so I’m here to share mine too, inspired by their “Not The Beloved” fic. An ‘what if’ scenario if you will.
warnings: spoilers for lmk season 5, gender neutral reader, child neglect, parentification, favouritism, yandere platonic/familial characters, kidnapping, likely OOC writing.
Following close to canon, Xiangliu was the one responsible for MK’s egg hatching prematurely. Thus, also allowing for the Shadowpeach family to finally have their perfect monkey baby!
One day for whatever reason, Xiangliu ends up on the Flower Fruit mountain. Recognising where he is, he decides to pay a quick visit to the little harbinger that he had set free.
He didn’t have to look for long, as he noticed two small, monkey silhouettes on the beach. Approaching them, he immediately recognised MK, the little ball of sunshine as energetic as ever. He played with who appeared to be another monkey, only somewhat much taller than him in stature.
However, upon closer inspection, Xiangliu realized that it wasn’t another monkey that MK played with. As the young child took off their hood, the demon was met with a pair of innocent, large eyes that stared back at him.
A human.
Curious enough, he approaches you both. Despite your cautiousness about this strange new face, you easily let your guard down once he convinces you that he’s an old friend of Sun Wukong’s.
He quickly learns that you’re MK’s older sibling and Wukong’s and Macaque’s adopted human child. When Xiangliu asks about your parents’ whereabouts, he’s surprised to learn that both of them are away. “And you’re taking care of the little one all by yourself? Your brother sure seems lucky to have such a reliable older sibling,” he comments. He doesn’t miss the way you try to hide your frown and then nod along.
Naturally, Xiangliu doesn’t stick around for too long. He leaves and once your fathers return, you mention your father’s “old friend” visiting and describe him as best as you can.
Not recognising anyone by that description, Sun Wukong and Macaque brush it off as you having an imaginary friend.
As for Xiangliu himself, he had to admit that he didn’t expect for Sun Wukong and his mate to be present at the right time to adopt the future Harbinger of Chaos. Or that the Great Sun Wukong would also adopt a human child beforehand. Knowing the potential risk to his plans if the Harbinger was being raised by the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque, the nine headed demon decides to drop by more frequently.
He knew that he couldn’t directly approach baby MK. The fact that Sun Wukong and his spouse were fussing over him would mean that he had no opening for talking to the mystic baby monkey without having to talk to them.
And that’s where you come in like a blessing.
By befriending and gaining your trust first, Xiangliu could indirectly learn more about what the rest of your family has been up to. He’d have to put in a little effort not to be noticed by your fathers, sure, but as long as he could use you to keep an eye on MK’s development under the Great Sage, it’ll be worth it.
In the next few years that follow, Xiangliu has observed the dynamics that were in your family in order to befriend you. To him, it became obvious fast how there was a clear favoritism directed towards the youngest child in the family. Of course, he’d use that distance that your fathers were making to let himself close to you.
Each time you were left alone with MK, Xiangliu would appear. Knowing that your parents considered his existence just as imaginary, he decided to play under that guise. He made sure to always remain friendly towards you and MK, offering to play with you both. The best part of all of it to you was that he didn’t treat you differently than MK.
Along with your friendship with Xiangliu prolonging, he started to notice how your fathers’ treatment of MK started to affect you further into your childhood. He didn’t have to intertwine or even talk to you to see it, since your fathers didn’t have to put any effort in making it more obvious.
Whenever he’d attempt to talk to you alone, you’d have to apologize, saying that you’re too tired to talk. The reasons being going to school and then having to babysit MK. It seemed that your fathers completely forgot how the demon toddler’s stamina was much more vast compared to that of a human child.
And when you weren’t tired, it was during the times that you had your fathers drag you along to wherever MK wanted to go. You never had time to talk to Xiangliu anymore or to even do your own hobbies.
And like a salt to the wound, the demon could also see all the brand new gifts that MK had each time he’d have some time to observe the boy. Compared to him, you still had your hand-me-downs from your Papa. It didn’t help that along with them, patched slits for nonexistent ears and tail remained on those clothes. Like a cruel reminder to the reason for your father’s selfish treatment.
It was baffling how both of your fathers prioritized your brother’s feelings over your being. Your entire existence was limited to wherever your parents decided that MK needed something more.
When you tried to reach out to any other adults or to any other kids about your state at home, you were either brushed off or met with disdain. Other people in your life told you to grow out of it and stop being ungrateful. You were the adopted child of Great Sage and his loyal partner, after all. What more do you want, when you already have what many other children don’t?
The more he watched, the more that Xiangliu started to feel an ounce of remorse towards you. While he watched your social life crumble due to having to put MK’s needs before your own, he started to wonder if he made the right choice by letting the boy be adopted by two enabling monkeys.
One time, he caught you quietly crying to yourself. With no one around, Xiangliu had a rare opportunity to comfort you.
“I hate it! Everyone keeps saying how I should be grateful for being adopted by the great, famous warriors like baba and papa… but-! It’s like they don’t love me. Not as much as MK anyway,” as you sniffle, the demon reaches out to stroke your hair.
His touch is gentle while he watches you with a stern frown.
“You must really hate MK, don’t you child?” Xiangliu asks, “To be completely robbed of your freedom, all because both of your parents prioritize his wishes and needs over your own. That must’ve been so difficult for a child like you.”
As you wipe away your tears, you look at your ‘imaginary friend’.
“I… I don’t,” you admit, “It’s not that I hate MK, it’s just… I-I don’t like how both baba and papa brush me off. When I tell them I’m too tired, I can rest only after all of us go to the arcade that MK wanted to go to. I can’t even play or go to my friends on my own! MK always wants me to play with him or else he’d get upset. And both of them hate to see him cry…”
Xiangliu was quiet as your lower lip started to wobble again. More of your tears fell, making the nine headed demon pull you in a hug.
“It’s not fair, it’s not! Why do they care more about what MK wants? He always gets anything he asks! But I want new things too! Why do I have to work for them and MK doesn’t?!” you wail. “Why is MK their favorite?! I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Oh, I know, I know, child…”
“It’s not fair, it’s not fair!!”
Feeling his resentment for your family growing, Xiangliu doesn’t say anything. He just lets you cry your little heart out.
Once you’re all tuckered out from crying, Xiangliu has no heart to put you back in your bed. He was still fixated on you, safe and peaceful in his arms. Your tear stained face and swollen eyes were something that he couldn’t look away from without feeling resentment.
As a so-called hero and warrior, he couldn’t help but to laugh bitterly each time Wukong referred to himself as your baba. Xiangliu saw how many clones he summoned to take care of MK the moment the boy got sick with the slightest cold. Yet he nor his partner could spare one glance at you, who was waiting for them while being late to school.
He hated the way Macaque missed your potential over the sake of training MK. While he taught the boy how to shadow travel, he completely missed the way you tried to get his attention by trying to perfect one of his signature moves. He only ever patted your head and told you not to bother with it, while going to then teach and praise MK for trying that exact same move.
It seemed that the privileges from Nuwa never left MK, despite him abandoning his shell. The more he observed the young boy, the more Xiangliu grew bitter.
Because of his parents, the boy is gonna grow up with a need to be a hero. To live up to the ideal that Nuwa and his own parents had set out for him.
All while you were used and left behind, like an unpolished gem meant as a gift for your brother.
He recognised that your brother was attached to you. He might be the only one who pays attention to you, besides Xiangliu himself. But, he is also the reason others miss seeing your true potential. You were still young and unwilling to accept that little MK was the true cause for your suffering.
But, that’s where a demon like Xiangliu can help.
He watched you be sidelined for far too long. Your fathers never gave you a chance to experience what you could’ve been, they just kept you restrained to what you should be for your brother.
Irony of it all was that once long ago, your fathers were the one who rebelled against the whole Heaven. And now, they were keeping their own child in a gilded cage while simultaneously undermining your wants and needs, just like how Heaven did to them.
Just like how Nuwa did to him.
He was done watching you suffer your fathers’ foolishness.
Black tendrils now surround you both, it wasn’t long until Xiangliu had you both teleported from your room. And even so, when he glanced over your unconscious form, you were still sleeping and unaware.
Far away from those disgraceful fathers, demanding younger brother and that tropical prison that you’ve been forced to call home, now with him you’ll finally be free. Soon enough and with him by your side, you’ll be able to reach your full potential.
No matter the sudden change in his plans, Xiangliu knows that having you here with him will prove much more fruitful later down the line. And as for your family and more specifically, your brother….
It was too late for him to fix what’s already been done with MK. But he knows, he’ll be able to help you set yourself free.
By sharing with you the freedom of what only the Chaos can bring.
ending note:
It's been so long since the last time I wrote something. I hope that it wasn’t a boring read, lol.
Also, I should mention, I hadn’t finished watching season 5 so I have yet to see what else is going on, buuut I had to get this fic idea out of my system, so yeah.
Thank you everyone that stuck ‘til the end!

Reader: (waves)
Spirit: and these are her lame, don't deserve her, pathetic husbands.
Wukong & Macaque: hey now-
Like, Spirit taking advantage of being Reader's sister to be the most annoying in-law she can
Yaasss!! If and when the dust settles and if Reader actually accepts them. Yes this would totally happen, heck I can see so many scenarios where she would be like this.
Spirit does NOT like the two monkey demons who stole her sister away. The sheer number of times she will try to get her sister back is astounding.
Heck, she'd be like this even with MK. Since Reader is PROBABLY going to adopt him. Spirit would be the cool aunt who gives him anything he wants. Especially since she is not good with knowing what they actually need.
Anyways I love this idea sooo-
.....
The room was filled with demons and celestials alike, many coming to Flower Fruit Mountain in hopes of becoming allies or at least making sure they wouldn't be harmed by the Monkey King and his Warrior. Others simply came to meet the new Queen they have taken.
Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque were very well known to keep everyone they can away from their new mate. News had spread like wildfire at the news of the two taking on a mortal human woman as their mate. A few didn’t believe it others believed that this would be a great way to finding a weakness between the monkey king and his warrior. Some even speculated that one of them had cheated on the other, however none of that was true.
The room was filled with demons and celestials alike, many coming to Flower Fruit Mountain in hopes of becoming allies or at least making sure they wouldn't be harmed by the Monkey King and his Warrior. Others simply came to meet the new Queen they have taken.
Many glanced around trying to locate the only human within the midst and finally they did. A young maiden, dressed in a long dark red hanfu with vibrant gold embroidered throughout the fabric. Roses decorated your hair along with jewels that dangled beautifully around your head and through your hair.
Some attempted to approach you but all were sent away by the small monkey demoness that accompanied you. A dark furred one with floating hair and light grey eyes. The one known as Spirit, the daughter of one of the Monkey Kings generals. The only ones able to get closer were your husbands who were willing to just scoop you up into their arms.
Both monkey kings had increased their size while the festivities were taking place.
“Brother!” Sun Wukong loudly called out when none other than the Demon Bull King walked into the ballroom.
You felt a shiver run down your spine at the sheer sight of the mighty and huge demon before you. It was absolutely terrifying to see someone so huge. Your attention however was turned away to someone else. A woman with long black hair and deep black eyes, she was watching the Demon Bull King like a hawk. But then turned her attention to you.
“Hello, you must be the woman everyone has been speaking of,” She spoke elegantly as she walked up to you gracefully.
Spirit immediately bared her teeth and growled at her, “What do you want?”
“I merely wished to speak with the new Queen of the Mountian. My name is Princess Iron Fan, and yours?” Her eyes watched you calmly though they narrowed slightly as she waited for a response.
You didn’t know why she approached you, she was a celestial who had nothing to do with you. And if she was anything like they show which you weren’t sure if you should trust her. In fact based on everything you knew, you shouldn’t trust her.
“Reader, her name is Reader MY Fabulous and wonderful SISTER, The Queen of Flower Fruit Mountain,” Spirit answered for you, emphasizing the fact that you were siblings, sworn siblings but details. You also noticed how she spoke about you being Queen rather bitterly which wasn’t really surprising.
You waved awkwardly unsure of what to do when you felt two familiar presences behind you. Turning slightly you noticed your two husbands arrive, Wukong wearing his usual smirk and Macaque narrowing his eyes at the woman before them.
“And these are Readers completely useless, lame, and don’t deserve her pathetic husbands,” Spirit said smugly.
“Excuse me what did you just say?” Wukong growled but before attacking he was held back by his husband as Reader pulled Spirit to her side and sending him a stern look. Even while she shook with some fear.
So in tern yes Spirit will be the most annoying sister-in-law that these two monkey demons will ever have. Especially because she is the only in-law that they currently have. The reason for this is simple too, Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque don’t have any ‘real’ family other than the monkeys on the mountain. All of which were all for them getting together and they all knew both of them before they got together. So they weren’t trying to learn about new people.
Thank you so much for this ask!! I greatly enjoy seeing people liking my content!

❝ Welcome to the family jewels; coal to diamonds, sold to fools .❞
╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗ PIGSY 🐖 ╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝
➤ You were a frequent at the shop. Pigsy immediately took notice of how you were alone each time you visited, how you were dirty, how you ate like it was your last meal, etc.
➤ It was easy for him to put 2 and 2 together. So, each time you visited, he gave you anything you wanted, and even went out of his way buy you gifts (toys, clothes, books, etc.). Tang even stopped being a freeloader for a while to ensure Pigsy could afford it.
➤ Somewhere along the line, Pigsy managed to adopt you! Now you were always at the shop, or at least not anywhere without him and Tang. No longer did he have to worry about you!
➤ ...or so he thought. One day, a robber busted into the shop demanding Pigsy hand over the money. Of course, the pig demon wasn't surprised; it wasn't the first time this has happened, but it was the first time he'd been threatened with a butter knife.
➤ Anyway, that's to say Pigsy knew there wasn't any real danger proposed by this rude stranger. But you, well, you were so young, and Buddha knew what you'd been through—how were you supposed to know the difference between genuine danger and a mild inconvenience?
➤ Just as Pigsy was about to give the guy the typical "bugger off or I'm gonna toss you out and report you", you raced out from behind the counter and slammed your fist into his stomach, sending him crashing against one of the (thankfully) empty booths.
➤ Pigsy was stunned for a minute, watching customers race out to avoid being caught in the crossfire. His eyes landed on you, still approaching the downed robber, and honed in on the electric green glow encasing your hands and eyes, snapping around your body like emerald lightning.
➤ He managed to shake himself from his stupor before you reached the crumpled man and stepped between you two, kneeling in front of you with gentle words and a soft voice, trying to coax you out of your explosive state.
➤ "Hey, hey, kiddo. We're alright. He's not gonna hurt you. You can calm down now."
➤ Exhaustion from the exertion your body experienced seemed to finally catch up to you, the green snaking around your body before disappearing. You collapsed forward, curling into Pigsy's arms and beginning to cry softly.
➤ "Bàba," you sniffled, trembling.
➤ Pigsy hushed you, holding you close as the guy limped out of the restaurant.
➤ "It's okay, kiddo, I'm not angry. Let it all out."
➤ He had quite the research assignment for Tang later.
╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗ QI XIAOTIAN ✨ ╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝
➤ MK met you after defeating Lady Bone Demon. You were the unfortunate host she used, and you needed a lot of help afterwards. You were fragile in a number of ways; sickly, physically fatigued, afraid of your own shadow and plagued by nightmares. MK understood all of that, and so you two became close, helping each other recover bit by bit.
➤ It was a day where you were hanging out with everyone at Flower Fruit Mountain, including Wukong. One of the cheeky monkeys had snagged your phone, so you chased after them to retrieve it. Unbeknowst to you, Wukong had followed after you to make sure his subject didn't give you a hard time.
➤ You managed to catch up to the monkey, but not before they squirreled away into a tree. So you were left at the bottom, hands on your hips as you attempted to negotiate with the little cream-furred simian.
➤ What came next happened fast: another monkey dropped from the foliage cover of the tree, beginning to tussle with the other. It flung the electronic in the scuffle and you stumbled forward in a venture to catch it, and then you caught sight of the monkey king's hand outstretched towards you.
➤ "So, your plan is to fist fight a child?"
➤ "Have you forgotten? Destroy me and you destroy the host!"
➤ "Have you become so desperate to end that you would sacrifice this blameless, innocent child?"
➤ "I told you—"
➤ "y o u s h o u l d h a v e s t a y e d b u r i e d . "
➤ "NO!" you shrieked, crossing your arms over your face as you braced for the hit that should have taken your life months ago.
➤ Sobs wracked your body as you crumbled to the floor despite remaining untouched. A cold, incessant chill pressed in on on you and you hated it, you hated it so much. All you could think of was her; the stink of old bones, the constant ache of ice, the cracking of your very body as that wretched demoness used you as a vehicle for her wicked deeds...
➤ and how willing the legendary Monkey King, the greatest hero of all time, had been to kill you, if it'd meant she would have died too.
➤ You continued to sink further into your memories, hands clawing at your scalp in a vain attempt to pull yourself out of it. The cold got worse, making each breath grate your throat on the way in; your tears froze to your face and your body weakened more and more until you collapsed in a heap, praying under your breath that someone would save you.
➤ "Hey!"
➤ The voice reverberated around your head, your thoughts moving sluggishly as you attempted to place a name to the familiar cadence. The cold went away ever-so-slightly as you calmed, focusing on the voice.
➤ "M...MK?"
➤ A sharp, cracking noise came from your left, followed by the last hints of a green flame. You blinked wildly out of a newly formed hole, light pouring into whatever dark place you'd gotten stuck in. Warm air scented with sweet fruits and flowers billowed into your face and you breathed it in deeply, feeling your body begin to relax.
➤ Hands temporarily filled the hole, blocking the heat and making you frown, but they ripped away more and more of your enclosure until MK's face comes into view, strained with worry and fear. As soon as his eyes met yours they softened, the successor leaning forward and gently pulling you up and towards him.
➤ You allowed him to do so, limbs shaking as you stepped out of the ice ball you'd been trapped in—wait. Ice ball? When... how did that get there? It was the middle of summer on Flower Fruit Mountain! There shouldn't have been any snow, much less ice!
➤ You looked around wildly, eyes taking in your surroundings: most of the scene is the same plentiful forest, but there's about a fifteen foot radius surrounding the shattered ice ball that's marred with gnarly spikes, curled like claws. You see Mei and Tang exacting magic on the ice to melt it, trying to free—oh god. Wukong lies pressed flat to the ground, ice digging into his clothes and, more frighteningly, his throat.
➤ Did... did you do that?
➤ You started sobbing immediately, clinging to MK. You grabbed fistfuls of his shirt, feeling the fabric tear under your desperate grip, but you couldn't will yourself to let go.
➤ "Hey," MK cooed, sitting on the ground and holding you close. "It's okay. You're safe."
➤ "S-She's still here! She's still in me! MK, please, please, we have to get her out b-before she gets too strong a-and Monkey King has to...has to—"
➤ "She's not," MK reassured you softly, gently rocking you as you waded through your panic. "It's just the after effects. You're still you. You're safe."
➤ "I'm safe," you choked out, pressing hard into MK's warm, solid body.
➤ The gang'll have to do some research on just how much power you retained from the Lady Bone Demon's possession, but they'll wait until you've had proper time to process.
➤ For now, they'll just make sure you remember you're safe.
╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗ REDSON 🔥 ╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝
➤ After the defeat of the Lady Bone Demon, the demon bull family welcomed a new member: you.
➤ Redson was immediately enamored with you. After only days of existing, you had your elder brother wrapped around each one of your tiny fingers. He was a dutiful sibling, working late into the night to craft you new toys, weapons, vehicles (the latter two he was forbade to give to you until you were at least eight)—anything you could desire.
➤ They discovered early that you had wind magic similar to your mother, with the added gift of blessing any item with your powers. This eventually earned you the title Prince/ss Strong Wind and brought your family great pride. And while it wasn't fun to chase around flying cups or run from enchanted bull clones, at least you weren't a Redson level catastrophe!
➤ That was before the... hm, accident, though.
➤ It wasn't your fault! You'd been practically attached to Redson's hip since you learned to walk (and he to your's for even longer), what were you supposed to do when you heard him shrieking "dragon horse girl" at the top of his lungs?!
➤ (Nevermind the fact you knew how dramatic your brother was... unfortunately for your parents [and anyone else who got involved with your family], you'd adapted his theatrics.)
➤ So you, upon hearing your beloved brother's scream, raced out of your mother's very important etiquette lesson and to your brother's room, damn-near ripping the door of its hinges when you busted in. You were so trained on the fact there was a stranger in Redson's room that you didn't even spare him a glance, missing the giant grin on his face (one that quickly morphs into "oh shit", mind you).
➤ The stranger—or the dragon horse girl, you presumed—gave you a big, lop-sided smile, acting as if she hadn't just broke into the Demon Bull family's keep!
➤ "OHHHH, you must be Redson's new nibby! I'm—"
➤ You didn't give her the chance to go a second further. Whipping winds travelled down your shoulder to your wrist, and when you outstretched your hand, a powerful gust struck the dragon horse girl right in the chest and forced her into the wall, cracking it.
➤ She peeled herself from the wall with a groan, wincing as she looked at you. You're quite the sight, raging winds strengthening around you, steam surely billowing from your ears and nostrils, teeth bared threateningly as you stalked closer.
➤ For a second, she looked afraid, and you internally rejoice at that. Yes. Yes! You've done it; you've protected your brother, your family, and your reputation as the baddest demons in this sorry city!
➤ But just as you were about to send the dragon horse girl through a few walls (and hopefully out of your house), Redson slid in front of her, halting your attack.
➤ "You have to calm down!" he yelled over the wind, bracing his arms over his face and creating a small shield.
➤ Your brows furrowed upon hearing your brother speak. It was hard to understand what he said between the wind and the adrenaline, but you managed to grasp on to the words just enough that the air relaxed ever-so-slightly.
➤ "But I...I'm protecting you! I'm protecting the family!" you replied back, the harsh gusts making you stumble to the side a bit.
➤ "Yes, you're doing so well!" Redson praised you, an ecstatic expression on his face. Then his eyes flicker behind him and you can just barely make out a scowl on the dragon girl's face, making him clear his throat. "However, this is no stranger. This is my... friend. She just has no manners."
➤ "HEY!"
➤ "Your friend?" you echoed, and the wind finally relented. When it disappeared, a fair amount of your energy went with it. Redson hurried forward to stabilize you, one hand holding your shoulder and the other holding your hand.
➤ "There you go," Redson said softly, guiding your breathing. "There you go. Breathe. Relax. Let it go."
➤ "I'm sorry," you mumbled, bone-tired now that your attack was over. "I didn't—I was worried, I thought you were...in trouble."
➤ Redson hummed, walking you to his bed and sitting you down. "I understand. I'm sorry I worried you."
➤ Eventually, the dragon horse girl wandered closer, rubbing the back of the neck sheepishly. "Yeah... I'm sorry, too. I'm used to just Redboy being here so I, uh... don't bother knocking," she says with a small smile.
➤ Redson gave her a side-eyed expression and a raised eyebrow, then huffed and focused back on you.
➤ "Would you like to spend the day with us? Mei and I are making gauntlets to help her with her powers, so you two can get acquainted and make sure we're playing nice."
➤ You smiled, comforted by your brother's sweetness. "That'd be nice."
➤ Mei will definitely bully him for being so soft later, but for now (and, let's be honest, forever), all he cared about was that smile on your face.
╔⏤⏤⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤⏤⏤╗ SIX-EARED MACAQUE 🔮 ╚⏤⏤⏤⏤⏤╗╔⏤⏤⏤⏤⏤╝
➤ Macaque was no stranger to life on the streets, well-aware of the lack of food and water, shelter, good clothes, and protection. He was familiar with just how dehumanizing it could be to live in Megapolis' alleys, scrounging from dumpsters and snoozing in dilapidated buildings until having to move to avoid being found by less-than-forgiving company.
➤ Maybe that's why, when he found you in the alley behind his dojo trying to cram yourself beneath a dumpster to hide from a hailstorm, he invited you in.
➤ And maybe MK's rubbed off on him more than he expected, because after he let you in, he never made you leave.
➤ Eventually, you two went from co-existing to something more... familial. It was sort of like you'd been there the whole time with the way Macaque's routine came to revolve around you.
➤ Anyway. That's to say you were very grateful the demon gave you a home that stormy night.
➤ Maybe a little too grateful.
➤ Early on, Macaque noticed your determination to "pay him back" for his kindness. It was a silly concept to him, something he paid little mind to. But when he started to realize just how dedicated you were, he tried valiantly to convince you it wasn't necessary.
➤ You didn't relent, and for several weeks, you bent over backwards to try to make things even between the two of you.
➤ And then, just when you were coming to terms with never being able to repay him, a big bad wolf wandered by.
➤ You were asleep when you awoke to shattering glass, the sharp sound making you bolt straight-up. Your heart pounded in your ears as you kept listening, and you contemplated calling for Macaque, but the man had six ears. He could hear your heart, and surely its rabbit-like rhythm would have been enough to draw him to you if the broken glass didn't.
➤ Something was wrong.
➤ You slipped out of bed as quietly as you could manage, tiptoeing out of your room and to the top of the stairs. You listened intently, hoping for a clue on what to do.
➤ With every second that passed, you felt sillier. Maybe you imagined it. Maybe you had a nightmare and it scared you so bad you woke up. Maybe you were still dreaming.
➤ But then you heard a screech unmistakably belonging to Macaque, succeeded by crashing, and you couldn't stop yourself from racing down the stairs, your thudding footsteps nothing in comparison to the thud thud thud of your hammering heartbeat.
➤ As you turned the corner, you found the broken window, glass scattered all over the dojo floor; and across from it, Macaque pinned beneath a behemoth of a wolf demon.
➤ You didn't even think, your body naturally moving towards the intruder, your teeth bared. You barely noticed your body shifting, fangs and nails sharpening like thorns and a tail sprouting from your back.
➤ You landed on their back and, purely on instinct, sunk your teeth into the back of their neck, tightening your grip on them when they shrieked and reared back, allowing Macaque to scramble away. The monkey demon watched in shock as you remained latched to the intruder's neck despite their wails and attempts to tug you off, blood dripping down their body and on to the dojo floor.
➤ Unfortunately, Macaque remained in his shocked state until the wolf demon managed to grab you by the hair and rip you off of them, making you cry out as you dangled from their hand. You heard the shadow caster snarl, your only warning before the intruder was dragged helplessly into a shadow portal by angry clones, one of them snagging you before he disappeared completely.
➤ "..id, hey, kid, kid!" You blinked as you found yourself in Macaque's arms, the monkey's expression sharp with pain and worry. "Hey, are you with me, kid?"
➤ "I...I'm... I don't know what... I was... who..." you babbled uselessly, your voice beginning to descend into sobs as the pain set in. Aside from your body just aching, your head felt hot, a little wet, and that scared you—but not as much as the sticky, iron taste coating your mouth, staining your chin and your hands when you tried to wipe it away.
➤ "Fuck, kid," Macaque hissed under his breath, a gentle hand pressing against your head. "Why would you do that?"
➤ "I-I have to protect you," you stuttered, whimpering as a wave of pain rippled through your head.
➤ "Protect—" he cut himself off, his expression firm and his lips pressed into a thin line. His head tilted away from you, a long exhale huffed out through his nose as his eyes slipped shut. When he spoke again, it was softer. "You're an idiot, and we're going to have a very, very serious conversation about this "I owe you" bullshit later, but for now we're going to go patch you up, okay?"
➤ You don't answer, too busy trying to fight off tears. But then Macaque presses a soft kiss to your temple as he gathers you in his arms and stands, whispering, "You were very brave. I'm proud of you, kid."
➤ Maybe taking care of each other was just part of having a home.
╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗ SUN WUKONG 🍑 ╚⏤⏤⏤⏤╗╔⏤⏤⏤⏤╝
➤ Wukong... didn't really know how he met you.
➤ You just kinda... showed up. No, literally. He was taking a walk along the beach one day and you were just there—some random little seemingly human baby crying on sand, waves lapping at your chunky legs.
➤ Wukong knew next to nothing about human babies, but he knew humans in general, and unlike his pre-Journey self, he actually liked them. So he picked you up, cradled you in his arms as best as someone with no knowledge of how to hold babies could, and sought out the mothers of the troop.
➤ Despite knowing he wasn't really qualified for the job, he grew attached to you very quickly. And you seemed to do the same, if your wails were anything to go off of when he tried to hand you to some of the other, more experienced parents. So Wukong, for all intents and purposes, became your father, giving you a liege of aunties and uncle s and cousins ready to fight for you at the drop of a pin.
➤ It was... hard. Oh, wow, it was hard. You seemed to be an especially picky baby, which made caring for you even more difficult considering all your guardians were monkeys who barely ever interacted with humans. Wukong found himself frequently visiting the growing village across the sea, keeping himself updated on appliances and foods in human homes.
➤ As you grew older, he discovered you especially liked fish, which meant he had to learn how to fish (it was very, very embarrassing in the beginning). But it was ultimately a win, your fussiness practically nonexistant as long as you got something seafood related during the day.
➤ Foolishly, Wukong thought this would be the end of his parental struggles.
➤ It was one of many days where you picked fruit with the troop, but the first in weeks where you'd gotten to check out the west side of the island. Previously, hunters had moved in and he wanted to make absolutely sure they left before allowing you or the monkeys near that side of the mountain. That time seemed to have come, the scent of humans faint on the breeze.
➤ So finally, after hundreds of agonizing hours, you got to harvest the westside fruit with your family! Some of the adolescent monkeys aided you and the adults in filling the baskets while the infants played, with a few hanging on to you and napping. It was going wonderfully.
➤ Until it wasn't.
➤ All you heard was a shrill warning bark before one of the monkeys screamed. You whipped around, horror gripping you as your eyes locked on to a hunting dog latching its jaws around the arm of one of the elder monkeys, forcing them to the ground.
➤ "NO!" You shrieked, dropping your basket as you raced towards the dog. You tried valiantly to rip it off, but you were quickly seized from behind and pulled backwards.
➤ "Stop! Let me go! BÀBÀ!" You screamed, fighting and kicking as hard as you could to break free. It was a fruitless venture, and you felt yourself slow to a stop in shock as hunters poured from the woods, escorted by hunting dogs who kept the monkeys from running away.
➤ Seeing this did nothing short of destroying you, and you felt something... swimming beneath your skin. It grew hotter and hotter, your breath coming out in ragged ivory puffs like... steam? It was strange, to you, to the troop, to the hunters, and everyone stopped, watching you with bated breath.
➤ "Let them go," you hissed, straining with effort as the heat increased. "and get off my mountain."
➤ The hunter holding you laughed, condescending and wicked. "Your mountain?"
➤ "Mine," you wheezed. "And I'll not have you beasts terrorizing my family any longer."
➤ "Wha—" the hunter had no time to finish as your body dramatically morphed, your human features forgotten as your body stretched and winded upwards, covered in scales and fur, your hands replaced by talons and your legs replaced with hooves. In your full, cool-toned glory you were a small, scrappy thing by dragon standards, but you were still frightfully sized compared to the foolish humans that invaded your home.
➤ With a roar, the heat coursing through your body built in the back of your throat and shot out in way of boiling water, making the victims who didn't duck in time howl in agony. Hunters dropped their weapons, screaming indistinct orders as they ran, dogs in tow, and you gave chase for a bit, literally snapping at the heels of the few slowpokes in the back.
➤ When they were out of sight, you stomped back to the troop, softening your footsteps when you saw them. You quickly realized speaking was hard in this form, so you laid down, hoping you hadn't scared your family.
➤ And slowly, surely, they crept towards you, running their hands over your scales. Some of them crawled on top of you, exploring your new form, while the others held your face, stroking you comfortingly. A few vanished into the forest, presumably to fetch Wukong.
➤ "We thank you, Prince/ss," cooed the monkeys.
➤ "Yes, you've vanquished the hunters, Prince/ss! Our King will be proud of you."
➤ Finally, Wukong appeared, rushing in on his somersault cloud with a few monkeys hanging on to his clothes. You nearly cried upon seeing your father—or you would have, if you could.
➤ "Oh, pit seed!" Wukong cried, the other monkeys making room for you as he knelt before you and held your head. "The monkeys—they told me that the hunters didn't leave. I'm so sorry, pit seed, I swore they'd left, I should have been more careful, more thorough—"
➤ A rumble cut through you, a desperate attempt to speak to your father. In quick succession, another rumble of frustration escaped you, boiling water beginning to drip from your jaws.
➤ Please please PLEASE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK TO YOU, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE BACK, I DON'T—
➤ "I understand you, pit seed, don't worry," Wukong soothed, brushing the water away from your scales without so much as flinching. "You have to relax. Think of your human form. What it looks like, how it feels. Imagine changing back. Go on, that's it. You're doing so well, pit seed."
➤ Before you knew it, you'd shifted back, on your knees with your head in Wukong's hands. You met his eyes and your lip quivered, and the Monkey King pulled you into a tight hug once he saw it.
➤ "I-I'm sorry, Bàba, I didn't know what to do a-and Tāo got hurt and—" You tapered off into sobbing, burying your face in your father's neck. He hushed you affectionately, rubbing your back and gently rocking you.
➤ "I'm so tired," you whimper.
➤ Wukong laughed gently. "I bet, pit seed. Go on and sleep. Bàba will handle it from here."
➤ And sleep you do, comforted by the closeness of your troop and familiar presence of your father.
➤ Wukong lifted you carefully, cradling you to his chest as he approached his cloud. He turned to two of the larger monkeys in the group, the two straightening as their king addressed them. "Put Tāo up here so I can see to him," he said softly. "and make sure everyone steers clear of the westside again. I'll make sure the problem is properly dealt with this time."
➤ The hunters wouldn't get off with a warning this time.

I've sent a similar ask before, but in peachsoup I want to see everyone's reaction to Sun Wukong being named Peaches.
Nehza: *face palms.* No memories and he is still subconsciously pining.
Erlang: *on the floor laughing* It takes a special kind of simping to do it with no memory.
Macaque: *crisis because even with no memory, Wukong chose his nickname for him as a name, but also he's supposed to be angry about dying but peaches-*
Prev.
Dont worry about resending. My inbox is stuffed to the gills and I get lost in it. Also indenting doesnt seem to work right when im on mobile.
I ended up making a bit of character dialogue based on this ask between Peaches and his school-friend "Nez"
Nez: "So how did you get the name Peaches?" Peaches: "Oh! When Dadsy- uh dad found me and MK, he called me it because peaches were pretty much the only thing I ate." Nez, agreeing hum: "Make sense." Peaches: "Then when we were adopted, we needed new legal names - so Zhu Taozi it was!" Nez: "So... you never considered having another name? I mean, the legal folk definitely gave you time to think about it. Why did Peaches resonate with you?" Peaches, twirling hair in thought: "This is gonna sound weird... but I felt like it's always been my name." Nez: "Really?" Peaches: "I know! It sounds so weird! But when I heard it for the first time, it just sounded so natural. Like someone I care about a long time ago called me it? Nez, intrigued: "Oh... so you think it was a nickname from a sibling or a parent or...?" Peaches, confidently: "I think it was someone I was in love with." Nez, memory thread unlocked?: "OH. Oh um... how can you tell?" Peaches, blush creeping: "I don't know! When I sit and meditate on stuff like this, I can just imagine someone just so beautiful with this deep voice chuckling my name like it was meant for me." (*hugs his own body lovingly*) Nez, honesty touched: "Aww..." Peaches, little embarrassed: "I'm sorry. Thats sappy." Nez: "Nah, it's really cute. Who knows? Maybe it's a sign from Yue Lao about who your soulmate it. He sometimes uses dreams to push fated lovers towards one another." Peaches, tail swishing with excitement: "Oh my gods, you're right! It could be a premonition! I wonder if my fated one is as beautiful as I see them! Nezha, internally: "He can't remember over 2000 years of life, but he can remember what his mate used to call him. It would be funny if it wasn't so bittersweet."
Once Macaque gets back, it's hard to see where his face mask begins and end. Learning that even with his memories gone Wukong chose to be called "Peaches", sends the shadow monkey into a conflicted mess. He's mad about getting KO'd obvs, but "Peaches" is both a tragic example of what if Wukong had died (Peaches is almost his own monkey after all), and a revelation that Wukong never truly forgot his mate.
Erlang is laughing his ass off as all of this goes down. His third eye was just spitting patch updates to him one day and BAM; Wukong's mate is back, and just learned that his amnesiac mate remembered and valued his pet name enough to make it his new name. It's way too funny to keep quiet about. He tells all his sworn bros about it.
When Peaches' family realises that "Peaches" was the pet name his big bro's crush called him back when they were a couple... they think its really cute. But the bad boy still isn't coming over for dinner.

Wukong ♡ Part Of The Family
I'm not dead whoop- Just lost motivation and also didn't really have time. I don't know if I'm now fully back, but here have this one-shot... And a Mink (Ink MK) X Reader is in the making as I'm publishing this one-shot. c:
And Wukong's got a thing for MK's mom in this one...
ⓘ Reader is USING SHE/HER PRONOUNS
♡ ~ Fluff ~ ♡
"Alright, I'll be heading home now."
"Make sure not to forget your backpack this time."
"Oh c'mon, I told you I was in a hurry yesterday, Pigsy! Anyway, see you tomorrow."
And with that, you put on your backpack and made your way over to the front door of the noodle shop. You were casually walking outside, humming a tune that's been stuck in your head the entire day... Until you noticed a little boy standing there, nude and covered in dirt, just staring at the noodle shop's bright light in awe. Confused and concerned, you glanced around the area in search for any possible parent looking for their runaway child. But there was no one even walking around the street. It was almost closing time for many people, after all.
When the boy still didn't move, you decided to take action. Slowly approaching the boy, you kneeled down to be more at his height. "Hey there, sweetie. How did you end up here like this? Are you lost? What's your name?" He looked at you, then back at the shop. Yet, he did not talk. Scratching your head in thought, you decided to approach the situation differently. "So, uh... Are you hungry? I'm sure I can let Pigsy take a bit off my paycheck for some noodles. I don't think he would turn down cooking for a kid in need."
Again, he just looked at you, then back at the shop. You sighed. This would be a fun problem to solve past closing hours. Extending your hand out towards the boy, you stood up. "C'mon, sweetie. Let me at least get you inside. I'd rather have you sit inside in the warmth than standing outside in the cold and dark once the sun is gone. I'm sure we can help find your parents."
This time, the boy looked at you, then at your hand. He hesitantly placed his tiny, kinda dirtied hand in yours and you began to slowly lead him inside the noodle shop's light.
Your boss was kind and helped you clean him up and gave him spare clothes, which looked a bit too big on the boy, then cooked up a meal for him. Sadly, you were unable to figure out what happened to him or where his parents were. You even looked outside the shop in the dark occasionally, trying to hear or see anyone who was looking for their child. But nothing came of it. Eventually, you found out the child's name and... It was really long. And since neither you or Pigsy could be bothered with saying it, you decided to nickname him MK. Your choice of the nickname was actually inspired by the legendary Monkey King, how he also had a really long name that got shortened for convenience as well.
A couple of days passed and there still was no parent looking for their child, nor was there any missing person report regarding a young boy with his descriptions...
You were basically taking care of MK during day and night, taking him home with you. At one point you suggested placing him in an orphanage, but MK only started to sob and cry, hugging your leg, not wanting to leave you. And being unable to say no, you accepted your fate. Hell, you even went the extra mile and became his legally adoptive parent with the paperwork you filled out, with Pigsy as uncle-figure of course.
As time went on, so did the years of development for your son. He moved out of your house and moved into the apartment Pigsy owned right above his shop, making him have a much easier time going to work. Meanwhile, you decided to travel through other towns all around the country, sending many little souvenir gifts and postcards over to Megapolis for MK to see, as well as keeping in touch with him through texts. And just a few years later, you heard news about various demons attacking your Megapolis, and how a boy called the Monkie Kid saved the city multiple times. Concerned, you started to travel back to the city, trying to get back as soon as you could to make sure your son and your former boss were alright.
To be honest, you arrived at a probably horrible time.
Looking at the city's skyline in the distance, you had to rub you eyes in confusion. Were you seeing this right? The city was partially covered in what seemed like giant ice shards... Did climate change really hit this area this bad the past years? It wasn't like it covered everything, but there certainly seemed to be a lot of icy remains. Shaking your head to regain focus, you proceeded with your self-proclaimed mission of checking on your son and your former boss. Cautiously making your way through Megapolis... the city seemed rather ruined. People were seemingly trying to get rid of any remaining ice as well as just generally trying to recover from whatever occurred. You were more confused if anything. What happened? Was this the aftermath of an attack of a demon you heard and read about in the news?
You then found your way back to Pigsy's Noodles. The noodle shop didn't seem to have changed at all. Upon entering, you immediately recognized some familiar and some unfamiliar faces. But the three you were most happy about to see were MK, Tang and Pigsy. You grinned, staying quiet as you leaned against the wall next to the entrance.
"MK! Order up!" Pigsy yelled out with a smile... It was certainly strange to see him smiling, but you weren't going to complain. Nice to know he was happier than when you left.
"On it, boss!" MK exclaimed as he swiftly grabbed the ordered bag. Though, as he turned to leave, his eyes spotted you... He froze, almost tripping over himself as he nearly let the noodle order fall in absolute shock. The boy simply looked at you with wide eyes... Before he started to tear up and seemingly hugged you at lightspeed. "MOM! YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU! IT'S BEEN SO LONG!"
You chuckled as you tightly hugged him back, slightly tearing up yourself. "I'm home, sweetie..."
Of course, due to MK still having to go on his delivery route, he didn't have time to catch up with you just yet. However, you asked if you could join him on his delivery to catch up while he drove around. And of course, he happily agreed. Though, it was interesting to see where he went for those deliveries... The way he so casually delivered those noodles to so many demons with you... However, he was inhumanly fast at it. You were actually intrigued... What happened to your son while you were gone? Why was he suddenly so fast? Sure, he was a pretty hyperactive kid at least since you and Tang told him about the legend of the Monkey King, but this speed was new to you.
However, it wasn't until the last delivery where you were really questioning things. He had to deliver to Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King. At first you were under the assumption that he was supposed to place the delivery as an offering at his temple... You did not expect your precious baby boy to crash into a rock solid wall, apparently revealing the Monkey King's home on the other side, and creating a hole in the wall from excitement... Yeah, you definitely were missing out on major context here for sure. And if that wasn't enough, the legendary Monkey King himself was actually standing behind said wall and casually greeted your son as if it were just another day... Was this real? Didn't Sun Wukong supposedly vanish since he sealed the Demon Bull King? Was this a fake? You were actually internally freaking out at the sight of the legend himself from the stories. Though, you tried to keep calm and not squeal like a fangirl. He looked too real to be a human in a costume...
"Hey, bud!" Monkey King greeted MK before noticing you. He blinked at you in confusion. "Oh- Who's your friend?"
But before you could introduce yourself, MK hugged you excitedly from the side. "Monkey King, this is my mom! Mom, meet Monkey King!"
You awkwardly wave with a nervous, not sure if you were even allowed to be here. "Uh... h-hey."
"My mom and Mr.Tang are the reason I became a fan of your stories in the first place! She's a huge fan of you too!" MK said excitedly, which made you blush in embarrassment as you pursed your lips, mentally wanting to shut your son up from talking about you and your interests.
Monkey King couldn't help but snort at the dynamic you and your son have. He didn't even need his powers to notice the clear embarrassment and awkwardness you felt at your son's words. "Well, I'm glad to be able to meet the mother of my successor." The ginger-furred simian held out his hand for you to shake. You smiled awkwardly and hesitantly shook his hand, internally screaming that you were literally shaking hands with the Sun Wukong...
But then his words hit you and you looked at him and MK in confusion. "Wait a minute... Successor? Of the Monkey King?" You gave MK a slight glare. "He didn't tell me anything about that..." Your son laughed sheepishly, to which the Monkey King grinned smugly at him.
"Whaaat? You didn't tell your mom about how you can wield my staff and powers? And how you did a bunch of hero stuff?" Monkey King teased the poor boy. MK really just wanted to disappear right about now in fear of your silent rage.
"MK, I'm not mad that you didn't tell me... Well, I kind of am. But I'm mainly just worried about you and your safety, sweetie." You stated as you kissed MK's forehead. The way you handled MK seemed to very slightly stir something deep inside the Monkey King... He didn't know what it was, but it made him feel a little funny. It was a rather pleasant feeling... Just the way you talked with MK and treated the boy who was somewhat of a son to him.. Wait.
Actually- Nevermind, he realized something.
MK whined a bit, "Mooom, but I'm grown up already! I can handle some bad guys, even the big ones!"
"And I'm supposed to believe it how? Sure I've seen you running extremely quickly, but I haven't seen you use any actual powers- Besides you breaking the wall-" You paused. Then you turned towards the Monkey King and bowed a little. "I'm terribly sorry that my son broke your wall! How much would it cost to fix it? I-I'm sure I can cover the cost somehow-"
"Psh, it's fine, don't worry about it, Miss (Y/N). No need to pay for it. We tend to destroy walls surprisingly often during training. I can just easily fix it later myself if necessary", Monkey King cut you off. He then got an idea of how to prove it all. He placed his hands on his hips and grinned. "Well, speaking of training... How about your son and I show you what he can do already? We haven't been training in a while anyway, so it could be a nice refresher after everything that happened with the Lady Bone Deeeuuuuhhhh... Forget that part, actually."
You give both a confused and somewhat suspicious look. Now it was Monkey King's turn to laugh nervously. "Aahahaaaanyway- Let's show her what you've learned so far, bud!" He then grabbed you and MK and lead you outside to the cliffside of his home, where him and MK would usually chill and train at. And to give credit where credit is due, it did seem like MK learned quite a bit from his mentor. He even performed some of Monkey King's 72 transformations to show off his skills. Of course you were proud and happy for your son, but you were still a little worried about him having to face actual threats as the legend's successor.
That's when Monkey King started to act... strange, as MK would put it. He wanted to spar with the young boy, which was fine... But unlike their usual sparring sessions, this time his mentor was shirtless. MK immediately knew something was up because he has never seen him spar shirtless since there was no need. Monkey King never even break a single sweat during training. Nor did he ever overheat...
Meanwhile, you couldn't help but eye the ginger-furred monkey's physique. Despite being on the rather lean side, he did have refined muscles on him which were clearly visible due to the bright sunlight. Monkey King noticed your staring and only seemed to move more in a calculated way as he dodges MK's attacks. It was if he was showing off his body more, which made you faintly blush while he grinned... You thought he was grinning because of how easily he dodged MK's attacks with his staff.
However, Monkey King seemed so distracted and was holding back by showing off his body that he did not manage to block one attack from MK. The attack knocked the monkey to the ground due to him losing his balance in surprise. MK laughs victoriously at his mentor's defeat since the task was to land a hit. "Ha! I did it!"
Monkey King blushed a bit in embarrassment as he watched you hold back your laughter. He sheepishly smiled at his successor before using his tail to help himself off the ground. "Yeah, you sure did bud. Congrats."
Suddenly, your phone rang, capturing the attention of both of them. Looking at your phone, you noticed it was Pigsy calling. You sighed as you turned towards the other two. "I'll be right back, I got a call." You said before going a bit further away from them so you could be able to peacefully listen to what Pigsy wanted to talk to you about.
Meanwhile, MK just had to make sure of something. He raised an eyebrow at his mentor, grinning smugly. "Soooo... My mom...~?"
Monkey King blushed as he looked away, laughing nervously as he scratched his cheek. "Ahahaha! W-What are you talking about, kid? W-What about you mom ahaha-"
"You like her, don't you?" MK asks smugly. "You never take any clothes off during our sparring sessions, not even the smallest piece. Even when someone else is around... You even held back on your dodges to flex! This is the first time I see you trying to impress someone!"
If the ginger-furred simian had been drinking something, he would've either spat it out or choked on it as he tried to nervously laugh it off. "O-Of course not! Wha- W-What makes you say that? That doesn't prove anything! I just... felt like sparring like this today, okay? There's a first time for everything after all!" He tried to justify his actions. MK on the other hand just hummed, still grinning smugly. For anyone else trying to hook up with his mom, he would feel disgusted by it. However, the idea of the Sun Wukong, his mentor, legally becoming his father would be amazing. So, what else is there to do than for him to tease his probably and hopefully future dad? "...I don't like how you're looking at me right now." Wukong commented as MK simply continued to grin at him.
"Just admit it."
"...Admit what, bud?"
"That you like my mom."
"Oh- Ahahaha- Psh, I don't like her. I-I mean I like her, you know? She's nice, she's caring... But, I don't like-like her, y-you know? I-I, uh, just-" The ginger simian stammered nervously.
"Mhm. Sure..." MK's grin didn't fade.
After some awkward staring, Monkey King sighed in defeat. "...Okay fine, maybe... Just maybe I do like her just a tiny smidge more than I should for just meeting her today..."
MK chuckles as he leans against his staff. "So like, do you want me to play matchmaker and set you two up? I could get Mei and Sandy involved too in helping you get her to like you back."
The ginger-furred simian blinks at him in both surprise, confusion and embarrassment. He thought his successor would either just drop the topic or continue teasing him behind your back. Maybe he somewhat expected him to even resent him in a way for liking his mother... He just didn't expect him to willingly want to be a supportive matchmaker.
Monkey King nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "Um... How about without them- I just... don't want this to be a big thing since I just met her...?" That came out as more of a question than a statement. The young Monkie Kid happily looked at his mentor, seeing his answer as a clear-cut confirmation of the Great Sage Equal To Heaven asking him for help.
It didn't take long for a plan to be formed.
From then on, just to have both of you to get to know each other better, MK asked you continuously to come with him to Flower Fruit Mountain everytime him and Monkey King were training... And your son was an annoyingly persistent bean, so you usually were dragged away and over to the Monkey King's lair. Then, after every training session, his mentor would talk to you.
It started off simple, actually. You would usually ask about MK's progress as well as about what kind of trouble he's already gotten himself into while you were gone. Apparently the day you returned, MK and his friends had just defeated some ancient bone demon spirit and Megapolis was still recovering.
But then your topics became a lot more personal with each new conversation. While your conversations once were just about things regarding your son being the successor of the Monkey King, over the course of the next weeks, Monkey King would talk to you more about personal preferences. Soon, most of your conversations became rather personal between you two. And oddly enough, MK never once bothered you two. Which made you a little suspicious because MK would usually pester you about what you were talking about with someone else.
You actually became quite good friends with your son's mentor. And after some more time, Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, the Great Sage Equal To Heaven, asked you out for dinner on Flower Fruit Mountain. You, a mere mortal human, of course were stunned. But also excited to basically go on a date with Sun Wukong himself. Though, it didn't take long for you to figure out that MK was helping out his mentor in hooking you up with him... Just the fact that he was not so secretly asking Wukong about his type right in front of you, to which the Monkey King was responding in a way that was describing you, was evidence enough. It was cute and amusing to see the legendary Monkey King so awkward and flustered that he needed the help of his successor though.
But, your first date was great. You could've sworn MK and Wukong's monkeys were helping him behind the scenes, but they never directly interfered or showed up. Either way, your second date was definitely something Wukong himself set up without MK's or the other monkey's influence, which you appreciated a lot.
However, your monkey boyfriend became a lot more bold in your relationship over time. He turned from awkward and nervous to the horny equivalent of his lip bite meme pictures... Beware of his bad pick-up lines and other advances, because those were the only things that really made MK regret helping him...
"Hey there, beautiful. Are you a peach? Because I want to get a taste of you-"
"Oh my god, Wukong."
"Whaaaat? I just love and a-peach-iate you, babe-"

LMK fic au idea
Welp im not good writing fic and my ideas are riots
@quitealotofsodapop and I made an au about the Monkey King's children: Paramita, Sun Luzhen, Yuebei Xing, Jidu and Luohou.
This happens once Wukong finishes his journey and returns home, helping with the reconstruction of the island, mainly because he starts to feel lonely especially for what happened with his partner Macaque. And one of the things he always wanted once the war was over is to be able to have a family with his beloved but this couldn't happen so he will do it with his own hands in the style of Nuwa, he would create clay eggs and even find a hidden one and from there his children would be born.
Paramita is the firstborn and heir to the throne of the kingdom of the mountain of fruits and flowers and Alolai being the serious of all his brothers and the most elegant of them, he has an elegance that his father lacks but that will not make him less lethal on the battlefield; he is the general of the kingdom's army and has on his shoulders the expectations of the kingdom as crown prince.
Sun Luzhen in his canon is Wukong's twin brother who had taken so long to hatch, and the second to be born when he was found, the king had adopted him as his own son, He has an energetic personality like a showman, He is now a version of Porty light, he is a professional musician and has worked in various musical genres, even in large industries making soundtracks for various movies or video games under an alias.
Yuebei Xing, the only daughter of the monkey king, is daddy's little princess, with a tough character and a very bad temper, with an enormous and muscular build that makes her completely intimidating, but under the dark shell she is a monkey who loves her family and her brothers, she was born with a cleft lip of which she only has a scar, she is a renowned paleontologist in her field who loves her job, she has always loved digging up bones since she was little.
Jidu and Luohou they are mischievous twins who like to cause trouble like their older brother Luzhen, who love theater like Macaque and dedicate their life to that art. Jidu is a comedian in various stand-up comedy shows while Luohou is an actor in musicals and has participated in many.
Jidu
Grande Caeza de pichi
Luohou
King Paramita, Jidu and Luohou desing based in @wuzhiqi-enj0yer
Wukong wanted to experience the possibility of having children by modeling in clay that he created 4 eggs, by the time he found the stone egg of Luzhen he found that the Paramita egg had already hatched and in time only the eggs of the others would hatch turning Wukong into a tired father of 5 energetic children.
Rumors of his existence abounded, especially the fact that Paramita was the son of Princess Iron Fan, which was never lacking (Paramita could never find the author of that aberration in the book and if he had, he would have pulverized it). This rumor was born because he and Red Son WERE childhood friends and a possible marriage union between them was expected (Like Odette and Derek in The Swan Princess). Now their parents wanted them to marry for love like they did, but then the thing at the mountain happened and they lost contact.
Paramita as a cub: "This is my best friend Red. When we grow up, we'll get married and have an island to ourselves!" :3
But that is if the day they meet again they shout with joy and hug each other like little kids who haven't seen each other all summer.
The rumors of the monkey king's children grew to be illustrated in the non-canonical sequels of the journey to the west and at that time they were just children, but due to the isolation of the monkey king the rumors of them became a myth until their existence was doubted, making the shadow of his father grow…
MK would meet the children of the monkey king in ''A hero is born'' is when he lands on the beach of Huaguoshan Island and they were the monkeys in disguise (Headcanon the common monkeys are glamours of yao monkeys)
Making them lose their glamour and scare MK even more until Paramita has to take control of the situation by lining everyone up.
After the initial scare MK asks them to take him to the monkey king and leave them alone; Now you might be wondering why the monkey king would need a successor? Simple, because Wukong has empty nest syndrome.
For the events of season two Paramita and his brothers will be in charge of MK's training so he wouldn't be so far behind and if they would be aware of LBD.
When MKang finds out about their existence it will be at the end of this same season especially when Pigsy is yelling at Wukong and oh boy, if there is something that Paramita does NOT tolerate at all is that HIS FATHER IS INSULTED (He's a daddy's boy)
Pigsy: You're supposed to be his mentor! Paramita: "Excusr me!? He raised five children as a single parent!" HE IS ANYTHING BUT A LAZY MAN WHO DOES NOTHING, DAMN SERVANT!!!
Paramita was millimeters away from beating Pigsy up, he will defend his father's honor knowing how introverted he is and will let that insult pass (He will fight even in mud to prove his point), his brothers would be pulling him to avoid the chef's announced death, even Yuebei has a hard time doing it being the strongest of all her brothers.
And that would be all c:
EDIT: And now the au called ''Wuxing au''

Reverse Prince Au
And because I keep forgetting to make an official post about it, I combined the False Prince Au with the Reverse Au to make the Reverse Prince Au.
Qi Xiaotian:
This comic is still canon to the au. Macaque gets pissed one night and shadow punches a probably magical plum tree. Qi Xiaotian is born and Macaque keeps him for his own reasons. MK is not Princess Iron Fan's adopted son and more of her adopted nephew that Mac drops off randomly. Macaque is an inconsistent parent mentor and sort of comes and goes as he pleases in Mk's life because reasons, which does not affect Mk at all what are you talking about he's a perfectly fine and mentally balanced person ha ha haaa.
.
Red Son
Red Son is the apprentice of the Monkey King, except instead of Heaven dumping him on SWK post JTTW, he comes of his own volition. This obviously causes tension between him and his family. I am still deciding if he's the Red Boy from jttw, or his younger brother. Because the latter would be hilarious ngl. Anyway, Red Son wishes to make up for his past and be a hero and he...he's trying. He refuses any and all direct help from SWK.
.
Long Xiaojiao
Long Xiaojiao is the only child of the Long family and the direct descendant of Ao Lie. By day she's a completely perfect, diligent, hard-working daughter. By night she street races (less than legally), which is how she meets Red Son. Slowly, they become friends.
Everything starts when MK sort-of-accidentally-purposefully releases the Demon Bull King. Red Son does not react well to this random ass kid (he does not know he's a monkie) casually lifting Sun Wukong's staff like it's nothing, and reacts even less well to his father being released. But he refuses help from his uncle and SWK initially doesn't see MK as enough of a threat to push it. Long Xiaojiao joins Red Son on the fun when he lets her (and when he doesn't cause he can't tell her what to do and that's what besties are for). Que silly shenanigans until Macaque appears.

New OC : Venomous Blood AU
Meet Viper, the adopted younger sibling of MK the Monkie Kid.
A quiet person. Little to no words leaving their lips as their heterochromia eyes observed their surrounding with utmost vigilance.
Their origins are unknown. As Pigsy found their small form within a basket outside the Noodle Shop. But as they grew, they had realized they're not normal. For their forked tongue and golden eyes conveyed something else entirely.
But what of their connection with their brother? The heroic individual that took the burden the title of of being the Great Sage's Successor?
Confliction; for the glory of being the Monkey King's successor had casted shadows of bond that fell unto his beloved sibling. Their bond reflected like the moon to the sun. Dependent to the light of their brother's ways. As MK's destiny lies with Sun Wukong, they had no one. Abandoned and alone.
It diminished their spirit for the gnawing feeling of darkness looming over their heart with no light to ease their ways. Inkling with darkness though his blood like venomous vengeance.
Macaque saw his past upon them. He'll make sure to not repeat history.
Note: So... I noticed I have a sibling for Mei and Red Son... Now have this guy! I have the Traffic Light Trio Sibling OCs! (who are RGB XDD)
