One of my favorite things about Rwby

Is this dynamic

Ruby Weiss and Blake all have world altering importance

And yangs just like a very determined older sister

Yang just wants her family all safe and happy and would happily die to ensure this

Yangs just like “this is my found family” and it’s like the most important people in the world

Not that this is at all new she’s just like surrounded by them her uncle is one of the best huntsmen alive despite being falling over drunk all the time considering he does all of ozpins missions personally and always by himself Ravens so good of a criminal she was on salems radar plus she’s MAGIC and can turn into a damn bird AND so yangs gif that in her I guess + the whole maiden thing summers super important somehow connected to salem as well ironwood who was the general for a WHILE was so close to qrow he might be her or rubys god father ozpin liked strq so much he gave two members magic so he might be a godfather too cause he seems to be really close to the family too

She’s like a magnet

And Yangs still just kinda there and she doesn’t consider any of these people like high and mighty or anything for being so important

She talks to ironwood super casually for the highest ranking military commander ever when he visits her after she becomes a criminal in v3 Qrows just her uncle when she speaks to Raven she’s totally ok with the idea of beating up her entire clan of criminals to get what she wants and then doesn’t respect a THING she says even after the reveal that MAGIC IS REAL and then when they Talk again after Raven joins salem, the bad guy and reveals she’s the MAIDEN which is super powerful yang insults her over and over with only one of her arms like she’s in no danger and then when she confronted ozpin/ Oscar about what Raven told her she gives him no special treatment for being a magical wizard that her entire family (minus Raven) trusts to make any decisions

Yang makes no exceptions no one is special yang would look the gods in the eyes and go “fuck off” and see nothing wrong with that

Summer: Hey, Jaune you okay, you look nervous?

Jaune: Like hell I am... I'm waiting for my date, and I'm scared as hell...

Summer: You have a date?! I thought you, and Qrow were flying solo for todays school dance?

Jaune: That was the plan, but my date said otherwise.

Summer: Otherwise?

Jaune: She said I was going to take her to the school dance as her date, or she'll castrate me.

Summer: Oh gods...

Jaune: I don't understand why she's doing this?! Raven is the last person I'd expect to want to go on a date, let alone to a dance!

Summer: R-Raven...? As in, Raven Branwen 'asked' you to the dance?!

Jaune: Yeah... She did... technically…

Summer: Why the hell would, Raven ask you out on a date? Hell, why would she ask anyone out on a date?

Jaune: How the hell am I supposed to know?! Ever since I beat her in that CQC bout we had she's been giving me odd looks. I think she's trying to tell me something in her own socially awkward way.

Summer: What do you think she's trying to tell you?

Rosebird week day 2: private moments

Summer smiled a bit once she realized she finally had the house to herself. Tai and Qrow were out on a mission, Ruby and Yang were being looked after by a family friend… all worth it to finally have a break from Ozpin’s missions and to relax. At least, until she heard the door open. 

She slowly took her axe off its mount off the wall, gripping it tightly as she made her way to the front room. As she peeked around the doorway, she nearly dropped her axe when she saw Raven sitting. “What are you doing here?” 

“I saw Tai and Qrow leave, so I figured you could use a little company,” Raven said with a small smile. “So I decided to stop by-” 

“And you cant stop by when the kids are here too?” 

“You… you know I cant.” 

“You could.” Summer sat her axe down and walked over to Raven, gently taking her hand. “I’d love for you to come here more. And for Yang and Ruby to meet you too. I know you left to protect everyone, but there’s still room for you to live here.” 

Raven looked away. “You know exactly why I cant.” 

“I-I know, but…” Summer let out a soft sigh. “I’d… I’d rather we not have to meet privately like this every time. I want to enjoy more time with you.” 

“Qrow and Tai would never let me.” 

“What they want wont matter.” Summer pulled Raven to the couch to sit. “Well, if you’re here, you should join me to relax.” 

“I cant relax-” 

“I’m not asking you, I’m tell you to.” Summer pulled Raven down to sit and smiled at her. “If you’re only going to meet me for our ‘private time’ then you need to at least spend time with me.” 

Raven shook her head and tried to hide the blush on her cheeks. “Can you not call it that?” 

Summer leaned against her. “Its your fault. If you didnt insist on only coming when I’m alone, then I’d call it something else. But instead, it's always a private meeting with you. So, private time.” 

“It sounds like something a teenager would say when they're getting ready to get laid.” 

“Its never anything like that.” 

“Still sounds like that.” 

“If you didnt insist on acting like a shy teenager, then I wouldnt have it call it that.” 

“I dont act like a shy teenager!” 

“You’re scared of letting people close to you and what they’ll think about you caring about others.” Summer pulled Raven close and leaned against her shoulder. “Just like a teenager coming out of a bad home would be. We’re not teenagers anymore, so you dont have to worry what anyone will think about it. We can be together.” 

“We can, but its not… I’m not worried about what others will think.” 

“Then what is it?” 

“I cant tell you. But… I guess there wouldnt be any harm in showing.” 

“What do you mean by show-” Summer paused as she watched small flames start to dance around Raven’s fingertips as she raised her hand. The flames then froze, the ice falling onto the floor and melting as quickly as they came. When she finally looked at Raven again, she could see flames around her eyes just as they went out. 

“This is why I keep wanting to meet with you privately. Why I ran away. And I’m afraid that if I’m here for too long, you and Ruby will be hurt by people who want this power.” 

Summer quietly nodded and took Raven’s hand, squeezing it gently. “Nothing will ever happen to Ruby and I.” 

Raven looked away. “But what if something does? What if someone comes after you just to get to me?” 

“Then I’ll make sure you dont have to worry. So, will you come home to me?” 

Raven started to nod, and then froze as she heard voices from outside. She pulled away and stood up. “I should go.” 

“Wait Raven!” Summer let out a small groan as she watched Raven shift into her bird form and fly out the open window. Just like she always did. Only ever giving her time in private.

Raven: Why are you touching me? Get off of me, will ya?!

Summer: No, you're injured! Give me a second; I'll heal you right away!

Raven: I said I don't need it!

A few hours of drinking later...

Summer: (Red-faced, Pouring booze) An'- (Hiccups) An' thiss ish mine, too~!

Raven: (Laughing with Summer, Red-faced) You're not half-bad, Rose~! Here, drink this one, too~!

The next morning...

Summer: (Naked) H-Huh? Were we... Did we...? (Covers face) I'm so sorry, Raven~! I took advantage of you~!

Raven: (Thinking) Why does my mouth taste funny? And why does my ass hurt?.

Summer: Even if I was drunk, too, I shouldn't have taken advantage of my drunken teammate like that~! (Shakes Raven) I'm so, so, so sorry~!

Raven: W-Wait...

Summer: But even if this is how things turned out, I won't run away! I promise to take full responsibility~!

Raven: WHY DOES SHE HAVE BIGGER TITS THAN I DO?!.
