Today Aziraphale took a peek inside the suggestion box. There was only one note, written in perfect, looping script: go back to Earth.

He thought to himself, if only I could.

Good Omens hive mind, I have had an idea. But I need some help executing it. another lovely person already had it too!

The idea goes went as follows:

Don't ask how long I spent making this, thank you.

Initially, the point of this post was: Over the course of the last 100+ days, I have read a truly mind-boggling amount of incredible, clever, baffling and wonderful Good Omens posts, metas, theories and analyses. (And also written quite a few myself, though I really am very new to the whole meta business and just trying to have a silly ol' time on here.) And I wanted to collect them all in a, that's right, Suggestion Box.

But! Of course, as always, there‘s many-a more dedicated and brilliant minds at work that kindly beat me to it. :> Hit post a bit too quickly before doing my research! Mea culpa. @kayleefansposts has already done the enormous work of creating a collaborative Google Doc with the exact intentions I had.

Not that it needs me promoting it, but do go check it out if you find the time (it‘s on AO3 as well)!

"That... that would fall on deaf ears, I think." I still can't; it's sacrilege.

"Why did you do that?"

"The, the box?"

"Yeah."

"Do you not remember..? Well, I suppose you might not..."

"I do. I think I do."

"Then why do you ask?"

"Because... well, angel, I don't think you need one. Do you?"

"I'm just... trying, Crowley."

"And how's that working out for you? Any suggestions so far?"

"Yeah. Yeah, uh, one."

"What's it say?"

"It said: Resign, Archiraphale."

"Archiraphale, huh?"

"Yeah."

"I have a suggestion."

"You do?"

"Get rid of the suggestion box."

"..."

"You're the best suggestion they have, just by being up there. If they can't see that, see you, which of course they don't, then no suggestion they make will be worth a damn."

"Crowley..."

"Just. Be careful up there, Aziraphale. Pl-- Okay?"

"Yes. I am. Of course. Crowley, I... I miss you."

"Yeah." I miss you too. Angel, you have no idea...

"Is it okay-- Would it be too much to-- Can I contact you? Somehow?"

"...maybe. Yeah. I guess I could-- you could leave a note. I could set up a suggestion box."

"I don't want to make any suggestions. I just want to-- talk. And uh. Apologize. I want to apologize."

"Don't need a suggestion box for that. Just need an... er, an apology box."

"I'm sorry, Crowley. Look at me, please. I am so sorry. Let me explain?"

"I'm sorry, too. Okay. Okay, okay, okay. Don't make me regret this. You can leave a letter. Mailbox."

"Thank you. I will. I... need to go back, now."

"Sure. Archiraphale... wow, I can't believe they developed a sense of humor. Wait, take this."

"A note?"

"Mhm. For the suggestion box."

"Thank you, Crowley. I don't think 'insultor'... thank you." Protecting me makes him so happy. Still?

"Sure." Always.

I have 0 understanding about how scenes are filmed but I always imagined it like: every actor in a given scene has a camera dedicated to them for the entire duration of the scene, and then they decide afterwards which portions of this film material they will use to put the scene together from different angles. Right?

Don't even care if that's not accurate at all BECAUSE in my head this extra film footage of David and Michael during the final 15 exists and I want - I NEED - to see both their reactions to everything that was said in this scene AT THE SAME TIME, like in a split screen!!

The thought that we're missing out on so many heartbreaking facial expressions from both whenever there is a cut to the other IS HAUNTING ME

Especially when Aziraphale says I NEED YOU to Crowley! We don't really see Crowley's reaction to his words in that moment, only a few seconds after 😭😭😭

Sorry, rant over

TLDR - I want a split screen with different angles for Michael and David rather than camera switching from one to the other because I am insatiable and can never get enough of their brilliant acting 🩵🖤

hey friends! i know i’ve been posting a lot recently (a bit more than i have in the past), and i haven’t posted in a little while. i’ve been on a trip that didn’t permit devices. it was super cool, super awesome, 10/10, smash, would do it again. i do plan on posting soon, and i have a few ideas, but if anyone has suggestions PLEASE SEND THEM IN TO ME!!! i’ll be up and running again within the next few days. trust 🤞

so Aziraphale says “I know, but I have a suggestion” right before Crowley escorts the humans out of the ball. then seems a bit disappointed when Crowley says “I’ve got this”

ever since the season came out, I’ve been wondering what his idea was, but couldn’t think of what it could be. was he thinking of the ritual circle? was he thinking of his halo? but then why was he trying to interrupt Crowley?

What are your favorite things/takes about fanfiction? (suggestions for a talkshow!!) Please help

my friend and I are starting a talk show on our college radio station about fanfiction.

we, of course, are lovers of fanfiction and fandom culture, but we’ve been having a hard time coming up with topics because…. we have such different tastes!

I grew up on here and scrolling through ff.net before i discovered ao3, i was a childhood superwholock fan and watched a lot of anime. more recently I am a huge fan of star trek and have been reading a lot of k/s. i never read xReaders or things with celebrities. (no hate of course, i just am drawn to transformative works with fictional characters) (mainly wlw mlm and gen)

my co-host on the other hand grew up reading things like Justin bieber gets ariana grande pregnant xreaders. i think she reads more things with celebrities and either het or lesbian ships.

like she was reading draco/hermione and i was reading drarry in middle school. there’s a link there but it is rife with tension.

honestly it’s like being introduced to a whole new world of fandom! but we kinda have no common experiences. but i feel like this combo gives us the ability to cover a lot of ground.

anyway! if you were to have or listen to a talk show about fanfiction what would you want to talk about? we are working on a syllabus so please comment/repost with your suggestions!!!

enough of this "crowley used to be an archangel" shit. what if the only reason he managed to access classified heavenly files is cause when he was an angel he peeked at the passwords while his higher-ranking friends put them in. he did work with saraqael after all. what then. all i'm saying is that "they never change their passwords" is pretty interesting wordingggg
