i just spent all night reading marauders fanfics and i'm exhausted but do not regret it in the slightest. anyways here are a few recommendations from the list of fics i finished (they're all on ao3, and you can read the full summaries there):
'on purpose' by 3d3nwrit3s. it's a 17k word wolfstar texting fic based off red white and royal blue. i finished it really quickly and it is super cute so i highly recommend if you want some fluff. i'm normally not one for texting fics but it was really good.
'SUGAR HIGH' by ivycore. it's a 161k modern jegulus fic and the black brothers angst in the latter chapters was *chefs kiss*. it is super smutty though (regulus is an escort so)
'PRETTY BOY' by ivycore. its like SUGAR HIGH but with rosekiller and it's ridiculously good. i haven't really found many rosekiller fics but this one hit the spot at like 2 am. you don't need to read SUGAR HIGH beforehand to understand it. like the one above, its also smutty.
'operation walburga's arbitrary no kissing ever rule' by courfee. i re-read this because its one of my favourite jegulus fics. it's based off ten things i hate about you. 10/10.
OH AND I STARTED TO RE-READ CRIMSON RIVERS BY BIZZARESTARS BECAUSE I ADORE IT SO I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMEND. jegulus hunger games long-fic (its 865k words oop).
'teach them how to dream' by calamitoutside. it's a really cute, 89k word jegulus fic where regulus is harry's kindergarten teacher. lily and james are besties and have a really good relationship in it (we don't stand for lily evans slander in this household).

The bible is way shorter than I thought
I've read the bible 4x over worth of fanfiction in the last 3.5 months, and that's just adding up the big ones
God works hard but fanfiction writers work harder

i have literally no idea how mangaka come up with shit for anniversary short stories bc there's always an expectation that you have to feature the mains in a 10 years later sort of thing while not making it feel too different from the original
in the meantime, if you give a little love is having its 10 anniversary this week and here i am, vaguely wanting to go back on fimfic to write an anni oneshot and sprouting up ideas about every character except coco and babs

I want to be Your Koi Fish - Nine Tails
Warning: +18 content, criminal underworld, intercourse, strong language - and so on
Fanfiction based on: "Baki" by Itagaki Keisuke
>7<
~ TAIL NO.3 - Teenager
"NOTHING" ?! She knew from the beginning that this was no joke, but ... to be so ?! After some thought, she realized that this was human life and that it wasn't allowed to play with it. This is not a video game where you can click restart after the "game over" message and we'll start over. She was frustrated by that. Strangers usually didn't really interest her, most often they were a potential target, to end a life, not save! So she had to double up her sleeves, which she didn't have - to take out the tails not only quickly, but also so as not to kill the Host. She didn't have much time to think, because after a while a fox appeared with a ball in its mouth. She took it gently, settled herself comfortably and smashed it in her hand, feeling a pleasant warmth again.
- Hey Kouji, get up, the teacher will be here soon!
She felt a strange nudge on her arm, but the Wearer didn't seem very eager to get up. She felt strangely soft, warm, clothes a bit squeezed. They had a pleasant dream about a little boy playing with blocks, assembling houses and cars. Eventually, someone hit them on the top of their head, and the school bell rang unpleasantly in their ears, adding to the pain. They rubbed the sore spot with their hand, yawning mightily.
- Man, middle of the day, and you fall asleep again! - said the laughing boy from the next bench. - You shouldn't be up late to play games!
Games? She caught the mind of the Host, they weren't too hasty: he wasn't playing at night at all. He went to sleep quite normally after dinner, after doing his homework. Earlier, he also helped his older sister, who had recently broken her leg and was barely moving. The parents were overworked, they didn't have much time for their children, cooked homemade food only on weekends, as a result, children usually ate something that could be prepared quickly. He didn't know where this fatigue was coming from. He lay down as heavy as after working in a mine, woke no more refreshed. Wandered through the corridors all day, unable to concentrate. He knew perfectly well that the teacher had already informed his parents about the drop in marks. It was going to be pretty good, and here's something like that. He wanted to change this situation, but was unable to find the strength in himself. Hanabi left the boy to himself for a moment, wondering what the cause might be and what ability she would acquire with such a phlegmatic Carrier. Judging by the uniform, he studied in one of the Japanese schools ... the end of elementary school or the beginning of middle school. The bell rang again, Kouji opened the Bento, and Hanabi froze at its contents. A few bars, processed muss that wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't been sprinkled with sugar, one sweet mochi, a thin piece of meat sandwich. Her heart, devoted to nutrition, taught the advanced principles of sports nutrition and diet therapy, was bleeding as the boy slowly nibbled on spoonfuls of sugar. It made her sick at the sight, wondering if he too felt the same. Zero valuable protein, apart from a thin piece of dubious quality ham, zero good fats, a mass of simple carbohydrates, a box based on products that are undoubtedly easily available, but also heavily processed. She didn't consider sweets to be the final evil, she loved sweets herself, especially since they helped her meet her energy needs very easily, but she was afraid that this boy didn't need such amounts. Her fears were confirmed by the reflection in the mirror as soon as Kouji went to the bathroom - chubby, with dark circles under eyes, visibly tired, with dull brown hair and sleepy eyes without the flare like children his age. For a moment he seemed almost puffed up, shaky, very restless, he wrote in class very quickly, almost catching up with the teacher's words, but with another pause, everything dropped, as his eyelids drooped again. She had no doubts - the boy was seriously ill.
As soon as they returned to his house, Hanabi made it a point of honor to alert his parents. She focused as much as she could to take maximum control over him and talk to the adults. Fortunately, they showed up for dinner that day. They weren't very talkative, and neither was the meal varied, which again struck Hanabi deeply ... but she restrained her tongue and put the plan into practice.
- Mom ... Dad ... - she muttered sadly through the boy's mouth. - I'm not feeling well ... I still feel like sleeping, my stomach hurts ...
- Son, are you not faking not to go to school? - Father replied, not even looking from the newspaper. - We don't have time for simulations.
"Damn you ... what the fuck do you have time for ?!" Hana hissed inwardly, but continued on. She had to save her Host.
- No, Dad. I feel really bad. - they sighed, holding back the hurried wave of nausea. - Sorry.
They ran to the bathroom to return all dinner. Not very willingly, but she took notice of what he was throwing out. Undigested, not thoroughly chewed leftovers, it was as if some of it was still from the lunch box. The boy's stomach was doing very poorly. A frightened mother burst into the room. Although she managed to move, even though she had no intention of such a turn of events.
- We're going to the doctor tomorrow.
Hanabi's assumptions turned out to be very accurate. She looked over the boy's mother over the shoulder at the file of blood tests as they waited in line to the office. Advanced insulin resistance, severe pre-diabetes, in addition, inflammation probably in the whole body, which even horse doses of cholesterol couldn't cope with, and iron deficiencies, and this was only the part that she was able to catch. It was hard to guess where the source of the problem was, one thing was for sure - eating only processed products and sugar, the boy was just hammering a nail into his coffin. The medical diagnosis was practically the same. The boy's mother cringed to herself, listening that he should eat better, first of all, start to NUTRITION at all, and not clog. They didn't complain about the lack of money, time was the problem here. Parents have sunk in a lot of responsibilities, relegating their children to the background, also because in their opinion they should start to deal with themselves. She felt it. The problem is, they apparently didn't give them basic, good role models. She thanked the heavens for such a stubborn doctor who pressed the woman a file of information about where to start and how the boy and the whole family should eat to save the kid.
She was proud of herself. It took only a few days for Kouji to feel a shot of healthy energy after implementing healthier habits, the kind that would make him feel awake in a moment. Buoyed by his success, he sat with nose in a book, wanting to know more on his own. Worse, the parents, especially the father, who didn't feel guilty at all from the beginning, withdrew again, believing that everything was fine, the boy would be fine. Perhaps they were right, but it was still the beginning, they should stick to it!
Hanabi wondered what else she could do to get her tail back. Kouji was straightforward, so what more could you want? It was Saturday, the boy was still sleeping soundly, parents left in the morning to run errands and meet clients. She sharpened her senses feeling something strange. Woke the boy up immediately. He clearly sensed the same. Burning stench and strange warmth. He jumped out of bed wanting to see what happened. Opened the door to the room and was about to run down the stairs when huge tongues of hot flames protruding from the kitchen stopped him. Kouji got scared, turned on his heel and rushed to his room, to quite awkwardly go out the window and go down the tree. In the last step, he slipped and fell, painfully hitting his back. Out of fear, he didn't think rationally enough to take the phone and notify his parents! But there was something else.
- Sue? - he shouted, looking around the lawn behind the house. - Sue!
In the blink of an eye it dawned on him that ... his older sister was barely moving! Terror chilled his bloodstream, and so did Hanabi. So the girl was still there. Somewhere in the flames. Perhaps it was she, even accidentally, who started the fire. There was no time to waste. She lifted the boy's heavy, overwhelmed body upright, sending the message "Kouji, you can do it! You have to save her!" He was trembling all over, feeling sick at the risk, but he ran towards the front door. It was locked, he found a window ajar not far away. Before he jumped in, she had him tear out a pajama sleeve and tie it around his nose and mouth. It probably won't be enough, she had to take care of his safety at least a little. They were inside, everything was on fire and the atmosphere was getting heavier. Trying to avoid the biggest fires, they made their way to the kitchen as quickly as possible. She was there. A girl of medium build with a thick plaster on the leg, from the middle of the thigh to the toes. She was lying on the ground, and somewhere nearby the flames licked the crutches, slowly melting the plastic and metal. "Sue" flashed through the boy's mind and after a while he appeared next to her. Fortunately she woke up, but was visibly weakened. Even while lifting on him, she will not be able to get out. "Kouji, it's time to use the energy you've extracted. Fight!" Hanabi said to him, directing him to carry his sister on his back. He grabbed her under knees so that she could embrace his neck with the last of her strength. He swayed on his feet for a moment, but the stressful situation and the slowly returning body strength did their job. Mrs. Hanayama felt a refreshing, strong rush of adrenaline in his young body, which caused the boy to jump out of the back kitchen door, prying it open with his own body, then ran outside, where he was sure it was safe. He laid his sister down on the green grass, leaning her against the fence of their property.
- Sue? - he prodded with her.
- Ko ... Kouji ... brother ... - She said tearfully. - I'm sorry it's my fault! I wanted to help you, I saw you trying! I slipped on my crutches and fell ...
He hugged his sister tightly. No matter how it happened. They were safe.
- I have a cell phone in my pocket, we have to call the fire department. - she said. - And parents.
Hanabi woke suddenly as if struck by a very bad dream. She was lying on white mats again, covered with thin silk. Beside her, as before, sat Inari, this time sipping something from an earless mug.
- Tea, my child? - he asked bluntly, handing her the pot. - Green, it will calm your nerves.
Confused, she sat down and took drink hurriedly, gulping down her gulp. Shuddered. She hadn't been in the center of a situation like this for a long time. Or maybe she was? As a yakuza wife, she led a rather ... interesting life. And dangerous. Every now and then their peace of mind was disturbed by fights, attacks, and gang quarrels, though she suspected it was not much, considering how many feared Kaoru. Tea probably did help, because she slowly calmed down. Hana took a deep breath, exhaled almost silently, then looked at her companion. He was sitting completely still, even stoic, which made him very much like Hanayama. He took another sip, then turned to her.
- Didn't you think it would all revolve around idyllic things like working on skills?

I think my tastes must just vary wildly from most people's, but I feel like the last several fanfics I've read have gone on for five or six chapters too many. I'll take an open-ended happy ending over wading through 15k+ words of a dense cloud of cotton candy overly sweet denouement in which every aspect of their perfect life together is explained in excruciating detail, and pet-names and 'I love you's are exchanged every other paragraph
#also. like. getting married and living happily ever after doesn't mean having no problems at all#there's always problems. the point is that you face them TOGETHER. stories about people with no problems are boring#idk I just feel like reading 100k+ words of really great plot and character development#only to faceplant into the literary equivalent of a vat of high fructose corn syrup for the last 15k+ words#really doesn't feel true to the rest of the story that came before it#it's also a huge contributor to why I leave so few comments these days#I don't want to comment chapter by chapter as I go along and then suddenly stop commenting when I get to the saccharine ending#and by the time I've waded through all that corny sweet syrup I don't particularly feel like commenting anymore#so the fics that I comment on are the ones that stick the landing. and sadly that feels like such a small percentage#whereas I'll leave kudos if I read all the way to the end even if there were things I didn't like about it#Jack suggested maybe I should just stop reading when it feels like I've reached the equivalent of an open-ended happy ending#and just leave a comment then about how much I liked the actual plot. then just walk away and leave the sugar rush for those who like it#and he's probably right tbh. I'll have to try that in the future#honestly this might also just be me transitioning out of my reading phase and into a writing phase instead#when other people's writing starts to piss me off it's time to get back to writing the stuff I actually want to read lol#tagtalking#fanfiction#fandom life#writing#2024 mood#about me

WIP Not-Wednesday
I was tagged by the loveliest @illumiera to share a piece (well, not exactly a piece—more like monstrous blocks of text because I'm excited about them) of chapter 17 of TPATD, so here we go:
When he starts eating, he admits that the soup has the smoothest, most velvety texture on his tongue, and while he does want to eat maniacally out of his hunger, Miraak still stops to think, if only for a second, that the flavor is not at all what he would expect for a stew—this is more like liquid sugar, without a trace of salt inside, but somehow still able to leave a sour-sweet aftertaste in his mouth. It's not... bad, but it's definitely unique, and maybe this question on his face shows, for the next second, her chuckle is heard.
"It's the moon sugar." Jia clarifies with a playful grin, and he turns whip-sharp, looking at her wide-eyed, almost in horror.
"I would swear I've read this is an illegal ingredient, psychoactive, addictive, hard to find."
"Not when you have friends like Teldryn Sero, it isn't." She laughs radiantly, and his heart rejoices, beats faster at the sound of it—like his aloud laughter, hers is also foreign to his ears. "Don't worry. The amount I put in your meal is too small to cause any unwanted complications. Eat it; it will do you good, trust me."
And he does just that; he trusts her as she has done with him, against all odds, and Miraak resumes to the Elsweyr Fondue until there's not even a spoonful left on the bowl, and he starts feeling better than before. And it is this very moment, when he senses her fingers slither in his half-wet hair, his eyes flashing on the mirror before him and observing her through it.
"You have such beautiful hair—like molten hoarfrost, like the silkiest ray of moonlight." She praises him, and he reciprocates her smile, balancing between being flustered or charmed by her compliment. It doesn't impress him then, when without even asking permission, she begins parting his long tufts and plaiting them in elaborate braids entwisted together, one beneath the other, in lopsided trails that simulate the scales of a dragon. A soft snort escapes him with this sweetest initiative of hers—by now, he has watched her many times weaving the exact same plaits all over her own firey mane, which is now trapped in a band on the top of her head, but still, it remains so unruly that it cannot be contained whole by this bun she has made.
Shudders trek down his spine that he tries so hard to suppress within, feeling her tending at his silver-white head like it's the finest needlework, even if Jia's hands are anything but soft inside. But, Miraak senses them like the gentlest sea-salt breeze riffling through his hair, and he becomes that young man in Atmora once more, staring at the Sea of Ghosts with its peaceful tides and longships adorned with shields, hearing the blacksmiths behind his back forging out copper and tin, and singing in Atmoramál for all Jylkurfyk to listen and hum along with him, medhel an gwyns, soft is the wind.
Oh, how much of a balm she is, reminding him of the most carefree years of his faraway childhood just by the touch of her hand...
Okay, if you made it here, I send you a virtual hug and an Elsweyr Fondue like the one Miraak is eating in my upcoming chapter! I'm going to tag my beloved mutuals (without any pressure of course): @miraakulous-cloud-district, @kiir-do-faal-rahhe, @blossom-adventures, @b-lizi to share a smaller or a larger piece of their WIPs! Give me a glimpse of your upcoming chapters to sink my teeth in them, friends! 🥰🥰🥰

I feel like this fandom often forget how insanely WEALTHY this man:
Tumblr media
Actually is. He's kinda rich, right? Wrong.
Tumblr media
This cherry pie:
Tumblr media
Is a MULTI-BILLIONAIRE. This would let him comfortably sit at Forbes 985th, ladies and gentlemen, that's the same net worth as Michael Jordan.
I know that he doesn't like to show off his money because his mother only cared about it and neglected him, and I know he's the one founding all the high tech gadgets for the X-Men + to the mansion and the planes.
However.
WHERE ARE ALL THE FICS ABOUT HIM SPOILING ROTTEN HIS BOYFRIEND?! not like Erik would accept it straight away, but I need them to talk about and Charles making sure Erik knows he's worthy it and that it's okay to accept love and gifts.
WHERE ARE THE FICS ABOUT HIM NOT HAVING A CLUE THAT MOST PEOPLE CONSIDER NORMAL ABOUT MONEY?! I'm sorry, as neglected you may be, there's no way you inherit 3,5 BILLIONS and has a realistic view on how most people handle money, let alone poor people. This man is the 1%, he's the rich that the liberals want to eat (erik, not like that-). He's self aware and he tries to police himself, but I need to see the reality checks every now and then. Besides, a lot of his students came from really shitty places and the class difference would be screaming sometimes.
ACTUALLY, NOT JUST ERIK, I NEED TO SEE HIM GIVING PEOPLE STUPIDLY EXPENSIVE GIFTS IN GENERAL. Sometimes just because he can and there's no reason why not, sometimes he doesn't realize it's that expensive, and then I digress to my previous point.
WHERE ARE THE SUGAR DADDY FANFICTIONS?!
Tumblr media
There's also this website I found that claims he has 125 BILLION DOLLARS but I highly doubt that:
Tumblr media
Ladies and gentlemen, that website was ranking characters from DC and Marvel, and they put him above Tony Stark (80 billion) and Bruce Wayne (100 billion). I have no idea where they took that information from, but that would make our adorable lab rat the 10TH MOST WEALTHY MAN on the planet as of 2024.
Tumblr media
Omg, the subtitle got Erik's name wrong-
This was a Charles' bank account appreciation post, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Tumblr media
UPTADE: Guys, I found the perfect fanfic for it and I cannot recommend this enough. Downtown (everything's waiting for you) by so_shhy
Synopsis: “Charles is a rich CEO, Erik is a hooker with a heart of gold...
(In other words, Pretty Woman AU)”
Fun fact: I found that marvelous fanfiction while looking for “Charles Xavier being an asshole” tag.

⋆.˚ ☁︎ TEENAGE DREAM ☁︎︎ ⋆.˚
—sometimes at eighteen, young love is anything but a teenage dream.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genres・fluff // young love // awkward confessions // meet cutes. summary・love is embarrassing, especially when you're in high school. from the cozy coffee shop to the local campus, eight boys stumble through the awkward world of crushes—trying, and failing to confess to you. taglist ・@its-stayville-forever, @aris078, @emilywjinnie
a/n・I haven't been on here for a little while, but I wanted to do something silly and fun to celebrate 500 amazing followers! All of these ideas are still in the works, so the plots may change, but I'm having so much fun writing them. I get hit with a pang of nostalgia every once in a while, remembering my very first fanfiction, haha. If you want to be tagged in any of these, just comment down below or send me an ask—and always remember to support your content creators; it means the world to us!!

☁︎︎ COFFEE CUP ☁︎︎
BANG CHAN loved being a barista; not only did he get exceptional employee discounts but it was peaceful—he handed people their coffee, they said thank you and walked away—nobody ever bothered him. that is, until one night, ten minutes before closing, you walked in with your bright smile and garrulous chit-chat. It only took you one sentence to have him hooked, eagerly waiting for your next late-night visit. what is bang chan going to do when he finally works up the nerve to write his number on the sleeve of your coffee cup, only for you to toss it away without ever seeing it? (coming to your shelves December 10th)
☁︎︎ ROSE ☁︎︎
LEE KNOW was famous for being the star quarterback turned heartless bachelor—or so everybody thought. nobody could have guessed that the reason minho chased every woman away was because, hidden 60 miles from home, there was the animal shelter where he volunteered. the reason he drove an hour every day to nurture abused pets? you. what is minho going to do when, no matter how many roses he gives you, you just can’t take the hint? (coming to your shelves soon...)
☁︎︎ MOTORCYCLE ☁︎︎
︎SEO CHANGBIN. there’s nothing he loves more than his motorcycle—well, that’s not entirely true. he probably loves you more, but his motorcycle is certainly a close second. with prom looming, changbin finally gathers enough courage to ask out his long-time crush and childhood best friend. what is changbin going to do when, halfway through, he chickens out—and, in a panic, ends up ramming his motorcycle into your mailbox while trying to back out of your driveway? (coming to your shelves soon...)
☁︎︎ MY MUSE ☁︎︎
HWANG HYUNJIN has been in love with you for about as long as he’s understood the word love; stuck in the seat beside you since elementary school, hyunjin grew to adore the soft curves of your features. one day, in the middle of art class, he's struck with the urge to draw you. overcome with the fear of never getting the chance to tell you how he feels, hyunjin stuffs the picture in your locker. what is hyunjin going to do when he overhears you talking to your friends about the drawing—and you mention his enemy's name, and not his? (coming to your shelves soon...)︎︎
☁︎︎ LYRIC BOOK ☁
HAN JISUNG is dedicated to securing the top spot in his songwriting class, and nothing is going to stand in his way. that was, until three years ago, when you walked through the door, head held high, speaking of your goals as if they were already part of the present. jisung never thought there would be any competition—until there was. now, he doesn’t know whether to write songs about his overwhelming hatred or his overwhelming ardor. what is jisung going to do when, one day, you’re paired with him for a project, and you discover all the love songs he’s written about you? (coming to your shelves soon...)
☁︎︎ SUGAR AND SPICE ☁︎︎
LEE FELIX, the school's sunshine, the universe’s fallen star—nothing was going to get him down. well, except for you. no matter how hard he tries, felix just can’t form a sentence around you; his tongue twisting into sailor’s knots whenever you look his way. what is felix going to do when he tries to confess through a cake, baked fresh in the culinary class you share, but trips over his shoelaces and smears the cake all over your shirt instead? (coming to your shelves soon...)
☁︎︎ BASEBALL ☁
KIM SEUNGMIN worked with a focus nobody else seemed to reciprocate, constantly practicing to be the best pitcher this world has ever seen. his teammates respected him, his coach loved him, and the school only ever saw his poised manners—not the awkward teenager he really was. that is, until he meets you—equally shy and almost as painfully awkward, studying on the bleachers every day after school. there's something about your concentration, the self- assured direction you set for yourself, that makes him want you even more. what is he going to do when, one day after practice, he scrawls his number on a ball and chucks it toward you? and for once, the ball doesn’t go where he aimed. instead of landing in your lap, he nails you right in the forehead. (coming to your shelves soon...)
☁︎︎ THE BOOK WAS BETTER ☁︎︎
YANG JEONGIN lived in the library. on the days when he wasn’t cramming for an exam, he was relaxing with a good book. the library had always been peaceful for him—a sanctuary that students rarely ever touched. that is, until one random morning, he sees you walk in—captain of the cheerleading squad, with your tiny skirt and sparkly eyelids, jeongin almost expects you to laugh at him and his pathetic seating arrangement—all alone. but then, checking to see if anyone’s watching, you pull a book from the shelf, and begin to read it. that's how it started—now, every day during lunch, you come and read your book, safe in the shadows, creating a home nobody else knew about. what is he going to do when he starts falling for you, through the notes he slips into your book after you leave? And what will happen when the wrong girl comes in and tries to take the book? (coming to your shelves soon...)
Tumblr media
a special thank you to @jeonginsleftcheek who helped me flesh out all these ideas. I couldn't do any of this without you!! I hope you like these stories <33

release date: out now!
Because you have some time until your company’s jet is scheduled to depart, so you’re roaming through the duty-free stores. You’re walking out of a chocolate store when you notice Mingyu’s life-sized poster, modelling for Calvin Klein.
You smile and grab your phone to take a quick photo, before admiring the advertisement. It must be a recent shoot, because his hair is cropped short like you noticed when he last came over. His muscles look well defined in the photograph, where he’s posing shirtless with a single black tie tied loosely to his neck, and black jeans hung low on his lips. There’s a wildly sensual look in his eyes, as if begging to be taken as you pleased, and it makes you smirk. Now you have something more to tease him for, when you meet him the next time.
“Pretty, isn’t he?” You haven’t realised when Wonwoo’s sidled up to your side, and you notice a Bulgari bag in his hands. So that’s where he’s been shopping while you were busy browsing through chocolates. Wonwoo’s eyes are fixed on the poster in front of you, an appreciative glint in his eyes.
“Pretty indeed. For as long as I remember him.”
Wonwoo turns to look at you, his eyebrow raised. “Are you a fan? Or a friend?” “The latter. Mingyu and I have been friends since high school.” “How interesting.” Eager to impress him, you elaborate, “I was the one who pushed him to get into modelling. Couldn’t have let looks like that slip, could I?” Wonwoo chuckles. “Indeed not. I’m sure many must thank you, including myself.”
Wonwoo takes out a small box from the bag he’s carrying. Opening the box, you see there’s a bracelet inside. Set with at least sixty 24 carat diamonds. It makes your mouth water and your eyes shine, and you cannot help but envy his boyfriend, if he’s the one on the receiving end of such gifts. “What do you think?
You wonder if it’s too personal a question, but you’re also sure a lot of lines between professional and personal have gotten blurred over this trip. So you bravely ask him, “Is that for your boyfriend?”
Wonwoo doesn’t show any sign of displeasure, if he feels it. His eyes still focused on Mingyu’s poster on the glowing display in front of you, he says, “Hmm. Do you think it’ll suit him?”
Your throat goes dry. If he’s bought it for his boyfriend, why are his eyes fixed on Mingyu? But you don’t think about it. Mingyu’s looks are, after all, captivating.
“I’m sure it will. He’s very lucky to be receiving such a pretty gift. He must be really precious to you.” You laugh lightly, trying to hide the bile of jealousy rising in your throat.
Wonwoo puts away the gift. “He is, of course.” His eyes now shift to yours. “Any favourite of mine is bound to be the most precious to me. And worthy of the prettiest of gifts, whatever they want.”
You fight the blush creeping into your cheeks, trying to stop your heart from racing on. This is ridiculous. Why on earth are you getting into your feels when he’s clearly thinking and talking about his lover? God, Y/N, get a grip on yourself. He’s not yours, and by the look of love and yearning on his face, he never will be.
It’s his voice that breaks you out of your trance. “Miss Y/L/N? The jet’s arrived. Don’t wanna miss it, do we?” You can’t help but nod dumbly and walk behind him to keep pace.

Sweets Aren’t Enough
Tumblr media
Characters: L Lawliet x Reader (You)
Genre: Fluff, Comfort, Slight Hurt/Comfort
Trigger Warnings: Mentions of unhealthy eating habits, stress, exhaustion, and slight depictions of poor self-care.
Masterlist
Words: 1096
Author’s Note:
Hey, lovelies! This fanfiction is for anyone who loves the idea of caring for L and reminding him that he’s human too, even if he doesn’t always treat himself that way. Expect lots of fluff, a bit of exasperation, and a tiny kiss for those romantic feels. I hope you enjoy reading this! If you relate to any of the topics mentioned in the trigger warnings, take care of yourself and remember it’s okay to need rest, food, and love. You deserve it!
---
The glow of computer monitors filled the darkened room as the hum of L’s investigation team buzzed around him. He sat, as usual, with his knees pulled to his chest on the swivel chair, black eyes glued to the screen. Empty teacups, cake plates, and candy wrappers cluttered the desk, but he seemed oblivious to the mess—his mind too focused on tracking Kira.
You leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching him with concern. How long had he been sitting there, motionless, aside from the occasional flick of his finger across the keyboard? Days, probably. L's narrow frame already looked thinner than the last time you’d seen him. His face was paler, his dark circles deeper, and from the way he slouched slightly, you could tell fatigue was creeping in.
Enough was enough. You couldn’t watch him do this to himself anymore.
"L," you called softly, stepping into the room. He didn’t look away from the monitor, but you caught the slight shift in his shoulders—he knew you were there.
"Hmm?" L’s voice was low, distracted. His gaze never left the scrolling data in front of him, fingers tapping keys like a pianist lost in a symphony.
You walked closer, determined. "When was the last time you had a real meal?"
“I had cake a few hours ago,” he replied matter-of-factly, finally glancing at you with his wide, unreadable eyes.
“That doesn’t count, L,” you said, exasperated. “You can’t live on sweets forever.”
His lips curled into a small, amused smile, as if he found the concept of needing anything beyond sugar and caffeine entirely unnecessary. "I function perfectly fine like this."
You knelt beside him, resting a hand on his knee to get his full attention. "But you’re not fine. You look exhausted. And no, cake isn't a meal."
He blinked, his head tilting slightly. It was always difficult to tell what L was thinking, but you knew him well enough to notice the flicker of acknowledgment behind his eyes.
“I’m fine,” he whispered, though there was no real conviction behind his words. You sighed and stood up, brushing the dust off your knees.
"Stay here. I’m making you something, and you’re going to eat it—no excuses."
Without waiting for a response, you left the room and headed to the kitchen. You knew L could be stubborn, but so could you. He needed proper food, and you were determined to give it to him.
Twenty Minutes Later
The smell of sautéed vegetables and herbs filled the small kitchen. You kept it simple: rice, a bowl of miso soup, grilled salmon, and some lightly seasoned greens. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was nutritious—something L’s body desperately needed after days of sugar highs and crashes.
As you plated everything, you heard the familiar sound of bare footsteps padding toward the kitchen. You turned to see L standing in the doorway, hands stuffed in the pockets of his jeans, watching you quietly.
“You left your screen,” you teased with a smile. “That’s progress.”
“I came to observe your cooking,” he said in his usual monotone, though you detected the faintest hint of curiosity in his gaze.
“Well, the food is ready.” You pulled out a chair at the small dining table. “Sit.”
For a moment, L just stood there, looking at the chair like it was a foreign object. Then, slowly, he lowered himself onto it, mimicking his usual crouch with his knees pulled up.
You placed the plate in front of him, along with the bowl of soup, and sat down across from him. "Go on. Eat."
He stared at the meal as if it were an enigma, picking up his chopsticks with his fingers awkwardly pinched. L’s diet was so limited to sweets that real food seemed almost alien to him.
You smiled softly. “If you eat it all, I’ll make you dessert.”
That caught his attention. A tiny spark lit in his dark eyes, and he hesitantly took a small bite of the salmon. You watched as he chewed slowly, clearly not used to savory flavors, but you could tell he didn’t dislike it.
“See? Not so bad, right?” you said, propping your chin in your hand.
L swallowed and gave a tiny nod. "It is… acceptable."
“That’s high praise coming from you.” You grinned, relieved that he was at least trying. “Now finish the rest.”
L continued eating, albeit slowly. His hands were clumsy with the chopsticks, and his movements lacked the same precision he used when typing away on his computer. But he ate—piece by piece, spoonful by spoonful—and you couldn’t help but feel a swell of affection watching him.
When he finally finished the meal, L set his chopsticks down and stared at the empty plate as if surprised by his own actions. You chuckled softly, leaning over to ruffle his already messy hair.
“See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
L tilted his head, his eyes meeting yours with that familiar, unreadable gaze. “Thank you,” he murmured, his voice softer than usual.
Your heart warmed at the rare show of gratitude. L wasn’t the kind of person to express emotions openly, but moments like these—small and subtle—meant everything.
You stood up and began to clear the dishes, but L’s hand reached out, lightly brushing your wrist. “You promised dessert.”
You laughed. "Right. I did, didn’t I?"
Later That Evening
The two of you sat on the couch, a small slice of strawberry shortcake resting between you. L picked at it slowly, savoring each bite with the kind of focus he usually reserved for cracking cases.
He looked more relaxed now, his posture less rigid, his expression softer. You nestled closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder. L stiffened slightly at the contact but didn’t pull away. After a moment, his arm shifted, wrapping around you in a hesitant but deliberate motion.
You tilted your head up slightly, close enough to feel the soft warmth of his breath. He hesitated, his dark eyes flickering with uncertainty, but you gave him a reassuring smile. Slowly, L leaned down and pressed a delicate kiss to your lips—a fleeting, gentle moment that felt like a promise.
When he pulled back, his gaze lingered on yours, as if studying your expression to understand this new, unfamiliar feeling.
“Thank you,” he whispered again.
You smiled, brushing a lock of hair from his face. “Anytime, L.”
And you meant it. No matter how brilliant he was, L would always need someone to remind him that he wasn’t alone—and you would gladly be that person.

Author’s Note:
Thank you so much for reading! I loved writing this soft, comforting moment with L. If you enjoyed it, feel free to leave feedback! Remember, taking care of yourself—like eating proper meals and resting—is important, even if life gets busy. Just like L, you deserve love and care too!

steve x fem!reader fic please!! soulmates to lovers but it's initially one-sided on reader's end. lots of angst please <33
Let It Hurt (Pt 1)
Steve Harrington x fem!reader
Summary: Steve has been your best friend for years despite his douchery in early high school. You would tell him anything... well, anything except for the fact that you've been feeling his physical pain since elementary school. The way he finds out is less than ideal.
Word count: 3.9k
Warnings: Soulmate au (kinda), language, no use of (y/n), depictions of severe pain, injuries mentioned, crying, passing out/fainting, angst, set in season 3, soulmates to lovers, friends to lovers, hurt/no comfort (yet), I think that's all??
A/N: I really love this request, the only issue was I've never written or read a soulmates fanfiction before 😅 But that didn't stop me cuz I instantly had an idea for it and ran with it. It's gonna be a 2 parter too! I really hope you still enjoy. Thanks so much for reading and requesting. <3
Part 2: Right Here!
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington hadn't always been a dick. In fact the mask he wore through a majority of high school was just that: A mask. One that he used to blend in.
From an early age, you two gravitated to one another. It all started one day in elementary school. You had managed to get a soccer ball stuck in a tree while playing kickball. Being scared of heights, you knew you wouldn't be climbing up to get it. That didn't keep you from staring up at it though, trying your hardest to get the ball to fall with your mind. Steve walked up next to you to see what you were looking at. When he caught sight of it, he didn't hesitate to begin climbing the tree, as if that had simply been routine for him. In awe, you watched him scale through the branches, throw your ball down next to you, and climb back down.
You picked up the ball and just stared at him then, surprised at the ease he managed the task with.
He dusted off his pants, looked at you, gestured to the ball, and asked "You wanna be on the same team?"
From then on, you were inseparable. It didn't take long before you discovered something new. Steve took a fall while running bases one day, earning a nasty scrape on his knee in the process. As he sat in the dirt and held it, holding back tears, you were doing the same on the other side of the field, clutching a knee that bore no injury. Yet somehow, you could feel the pain. You could feel his pain.
Through your life after that event, you would get random strong bouts of pain that you knew weren't yours, all in random places. As a kid it was mostly just things like your knees or elbows, like you skinned them, always when Steve skinned them. In the summer you would sometimes feel a sunburn that never turned red, only for Steve to return from a trip with a sunburn. In your mind, all the evidence wasn't evidence enough, at least not to tell anyone. You tried your best not to look in pain in front of anyone when it happened, and you got pretty good at it. Eventually it became the norm for you to hide it, and you didn't plan on changing that. You were worried Steve would react badly to it somehow if you told him, or call you crazy and ditch you. So it stayed your little secret.
You and Steve lived on through the school years, friendship staying relatively the same.
It wasn't until freshman year you sensed a shift in him. Something bitter to the taste that didn't belong, a sprinkle of salt where there used to be sugar. That salt was Tommy Hagan and Carol Perkins. Somehow they wormed their way in, pushing you out with glares. Steve only hung out with them when he wasn't hanging out with you, which slowly became less and less. He wasn't getting into any trouble, he just became a gigantic jerk to anyone Tommy deemed worthy of being a jerk to. Eventually Steve was seen as the lead in their escapades, 'King Steve' as it were, but you knew the truth. Steve was just the limp head that Tommy turned in one direction or the other. By tenth grade, you barely spoke to him anymore… and you missed him.
In 1983, one of the largest pains happened - 'attacks' is what you began calling them after this because, honestly, that's what it felt like. It felt like Steve had been attacked, beaten to a pulp. For days after this one, your lip, nose, and especially your upper brow ached. You were sure the skin had been broken somehow, however it remained an invisible ghost. After it happened, you tried calling him. However, he never picked up.
In school, you saw him with a scabbed over face… and he looked miserable. But, as much as it hurt, you assumed he didn't need you anymore. After all, he had a smart and pretty Nancy Wheeler now. Surely he had forgotten about you and didn't want your help. You don't know how many nights you cried over that. How many times you thought to try and call him again. Instead, you waited.
It was a long while before you felt pain even close to that again. On a cold Monday night in November of '84, it happened again, but even worse than the year prior. Another attack.
It was the middle of the night, awaking you from a normal slumber. When you first felt it, it was only a couple hits. When it subsided, you took a breath, slightly annoyed at Steve for getting into a fight this late, and got up to get a pain killer to hopefully numb the ghost pain. From what you could tell after past experiences, it helped. As you rounded your bed for the bathroom, your knuckles bursted with pain and made you stop and grasp at them. Steve must have thrown a punch and hit his target. You didn't have much time to process that thought before an onslaught of attacks bombarded you. Harder and harder and harder, one after the next you could feel the swings and blows. Every punch to the face and gut, explosion after explosion of searing pain rattled your skull. You couldn't breathe, couldn't even cry out for help. Eventually you became too dizzy to stand and found yourself collapsing to your carpet in a whirlwind of invisible strikes to your head and face.
That night, you passed out on your bedroom floor. When you awoke in the same spot, you were greeted with an angry agony you had never felt the likes of before. Every heartbeat made your sight shift, your eyes strained and ached, your nose felt as though it were broken, and your mid section felt deeply bruised. You were stuck in bed for days afterwards, sensitive to any kind of loud noise or light. You were certain Steve had managed to get a concussion, however you were too miserable yourself to try and pursue him. Headaches became your best friend, and it wasn't a kind one.
When you went back to school, you were met with Steve looking literally like death. From a safe distance, you could see that both his eyes were blackened, his lip looked busted and healing, and he had a few scratches over his forehead. Rumors circled around you that Steve and the new kid, Billy, had gone at it a week prior, and Steve was obviously the loser in the fight.
You found yourself staring at him more than you probably had in the past year. You had no intention of speaking to him, but you couldn't avert your eyes. Your head still throbbed with his and you couldn't deny that you felt pity for him. Once or twice he happened to catch you staring, sharing a moment before you eventually turned away sadly. That happened a few times in fact, so you should have expected him to be at your doorstep not long after.
He held a single flower, your favorite kind, and your favorite candy. His bruised, purple face practically pouted at you as he rambled on an apology, saying he understood if you didn't want to be his friend again, that he was a douche for no reason and he doesn't deserve much, but he wanted to try again and make it up to you. The longer you let him ramble, the harder he was on himself, until finally you leapt forward and embraced him.
"I knew it wasn't you," You spoke into his shoulder. "I was just waiting until you figured that out too."
After many long talks about the time lost and the mistakes made, you both managed to pick up where you had started. You sat with him at lunch again like old times. Not many people did anymore. You gave him some tips on how to better heal his scarring, you came to watch him play basketball, and you offered him pain killers when you could feel one of his head aches coming on. You noticed he tended to get more of those since the fight with Billy. He always looked so shocked when you offered, but you made the excuse saying you had a headache and wanted to offer while you had the pills out. It seemed to appease him enough, and he never dug any further about it.
It didn't take long for you to realize you liked being around him… like, really liked it. After some thought, you realized you always had. And it wasn't like it was hard to find time to be with him. Other than Dustin Henderson, you seemed to be his only close friend again. It got to the point where by spring of the next year, you were sleeping over at his house quite often. You never slept in the same bed, but you'd be lying if you said you hadn't wanted to ask to.
One day he picked you up for one of the last days before graduation with a sour look on his face. His greeting was deadpan as you got in his passenger seat.
You snickered at him as you pulled your seat belt on. "What's up with you, grumpy?"
"Parents, that's what's up," He grumbled, backing out of your driveway. The way he put his hand on the back of your headrest made you stare for a moment.
Damn him.
"What they do this time?"
"Dads not letting me work for him. And he won't pay for college either."
Your brow came together in confusion. "Wait, what? Why? I thought that's been the plan all these years. You graduate and then help him or go to school."
"Yeah, that's what I thought too," He sighed, "But the old man's making me go out and work to get a job. Said he doesn't want to hand me everything and that I need to learn respect and responsibility, blah blah blah…"
Well at least he didn't hit you this time, you thought to yourself. Unfortunately, you always knew when his dad hit him… Every single time. His favorite technique was to slap Steve square in the face, hard. No one else did that. No one else even knew. Steve didn't even know you knew.
You tilted your head as you thought. "Well… What if you tried to work with me? At the new mall this summer? I'm pretty sure I have a solid 'in' at the ice cream place."
Steve scoffed, half smiling. "An ice cream shop?"
"Oh come on, it's not the worst place. It will at least give you something to put on a resume. Just a summer job. Ya know, work your way up, get experience or whatever."
"I guess…" He thought, then brought his hand up and pointed at you. "But only if you work there too."
"Aw, what, would you miss me working somewhere else? Need me to hold your hand at your first job?"
He rolled his eyes, finally smiling for the first time that morning. "You wish. No, see, the plan is to make you talk to all the bitchy 40 year old moms while I eat free strawberry ice cream in the back all day."
Your brow perked up. "Strawberry ice cream? Strawberry? When did that become your favorite?"
He shrugged. "Since, like, forever….. Don't look at me like that, it has clear supremacy over the other flavors."
The rest of the ride to school that morning was spent in a useless debate over ice cream flavors and how you had managed to go so long not knowing his favorite. You insisted on gaslighting him that strawberry had never been his favorite.
Later that month, right after the end of the school year, you both were locked in to work at Scoops Ahoy together.

"Another 'you suck', Harrington. What a surprise," Robin teased flatly from the back room, a squeaky tally added to the many others accumulated on the whiteboard that day.
You smirked, which was hidden from Steve behind you as you refilled the banana and strawberry slices for that afternoon.
Steve groaned and slapped his hat down on the counter next to you. "What am I doing wrong?" When he was answered with only your chuckles he shook his head. "No, really, what am I doing wrong? There's gotta be something I could change and you guys just aren't telling me."
You and Robin stole a glance at each other before snorting and continuing to laugh.
"Look buddy," You offered, turning to him. "I'm going to put this in the nicest way possible."
Steve raised his brow and stood straight in attention.
"You're coming off super desperate."
His posture sagged again and he rolled his eyes. "Desperate, okay… Well how do I not come off as desperate?"
"Don't BE desperate, dummy," Robin laughed.
"I'm not actually desperate!"
"Yes you are," You and Robin chimed at the same time.
You grabbed your trash from the counter and looked at the girl in front of you, shaking your head with a half smile. "He asks us for help and then ignores us." You say as you push past Steve to get to the back.
She shrugged. "The life of every woman talking to a man."
"Oh, come on," Steve interjects, following you at the heel, "What makes you the expert at flirting with girls anyway?"
"I don't know, cause I am one?" You call over your shoulder, tossing your trash and gloves in the bin before walking over and sitting down at the table.
"Fine," He mutters, striding over to you and leaning on the table to loom extremely close over you. You could smell his cologne and the way his hot breath brushed your forehead. "How should I flirt then, Miss Professional?"
Like that, you think to yourself, butterflies suddenly having a party in your stomach. The smug look on his face was one you'd seen many times before, the one he wore when he tried to get under your skin… The one he wore when he knew he would.
Immediately you remembered Robin's presence not 10 feet next to you. You quickly glanced at her, saw that she was watching, and in a panic you kicked Steve in the shin. Just as immediately, you regretted that decision as you felt an affliction on your own shin.
Steve let out a yelp as he stumbled and squat down to hold his leg. Robin laughed while you pulled your own leg up into the chair, holding it as if it were casual and not because you were doctoring pain as well.
"Does that count as another 'you suck'?" Robin asks joyfully through giggles. You can't help but smile back at her.
"I'll let you judge it," You reply, pretending to be neutral. In reality, the butterflies hadn't calmed down in your tummy and you knew you'd be thinking about that interaction for the rest of the night.
Damn him.
Robin whirled around to put yet another tally under 'you suck'. When she did you looked at Steve to see him standing in recovery shaking his pained leg as he did so.
"Screw you guys, I'm going on break," He announced. Before he walked through the door, though, you caught him glancing back at you, a boyish glint in his eye.
No really, damn him.
As soon as he was gone, Robin whirled back around to you and squinted her eyes. "I saw that, you know."
Shin still aching, you rubbed it mindlessly. "Saw what?"
She rolled her eyes and walked closer, leaning down with her palms on the table. "That split second look on your face that said 'Whatever you want, Stevie!'" She mimicked in a high pitched mockery. "It was pretty gross."
"Woah, okay," You croaked, trying to ignore her knowing smirk, "That's- That's not what happened, okay?"
"Oh please, your cheeks are still as red as those strawberries," She tutted. "Not the first time that's happened either, you know. I've seen you blush plenty because of him."
All you could do is fight the heat on your face and shake your head in disbelief, trying to play it off as not a big deal.
But it was a big deal.
Nobody knew of your rather new acknowledgement of your crush on Steve. And of all the people you'd want knowing about your secret crush, Robin was VERY low on the list. Sure, in the short time working with her she had become a pretty nice work friend. You even hung out with her and Steve a few times after work every once in a while. But in the short time you'd gotten to know her, you learned one thing for sure: She was absolutely ass at keeping secrets.
Alas, that thought slipped your mind before what you said next.
"Rob, just drop it, it's not like I'd have a chance anyway," You muttered under your breath, standing from your seat to go back out to the front.
Your co-worker cut you off, jumping between you and the door. "Hold on, what? You actually do-....." You gave her a warning with your eyes. "Oh, I knew it!"
"Shut up, shut up," You whisper yelled, now realizing your mistake. "Look, just act like I said nothing, okay? He can't know- He shouldn't know."
Robin snaked her head back in shock. "You kidding me? Why? You see how badly he wants a date, right?"
"You see the kinds of girls he asks on dates, right?" You countered.
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but none of them are remotely interested. He's going for all the wrong girls. You on the other hand-"
"Rob, Rob, listen," You hands grabbed hers in a hopeful grasp, "I need you to do everything in your power to keep this all to yourself, okay? He's my closest friend and I don't want anything screwing that up right now."
Robin could see the desperation in your eyes and she sighed, a small pout on her lips. "That's what you really want?"
You nodded fervently, hoping to wrap up this conversation before Steve returned.
She sighed again, this time overdramatically, and stomped her foot on the ground like a child. "Fine. But I'm making a new tally board for you. It'll just be on a piece of paper in my pocket." She smiled proudly.
▐░░░░░░░░░░░░░▌
Working at Scoops with Steve was the worst possible thing you could have done. For one, you had to stand there every day and watch him flirt with every girl in the vicinity. Every girl except you, that is. Unfortunately, your feelings had done nothing but grow, making each shift with Steve heaven and hell at the same time. You didn't think it could get any worse.
And then it did.
Because now you were trapped under the mall in a secret Russian base, tied up and locked in a room with Robin.
Yeah, working at Scoops was a mistake.
"Why did they separate us?" You asked, voice trembling as you stared at the locked metal door in front of you. "Why would they need Steve?"
Robin looked up from trying to chew through her bindings on her wrist, sweat shining on her forehead. "I don't… I don't know, maybe to sort this out?"
You turned to her, a hopeless manner about you as you lifted your own bound wrists. "This doesn't look like harmless sorting out, Rob."
"We can at least hope, right? I mean… I mean Steve's charismatic or whatever, he can tell them that us getting here was a mistake and that we just work at the mall and… Yeah, he can do that. He's good at talking, I mean he talks all the time. They'll just…. just take us back to the surface and-" Robin rambled, pacing circles around you like a toy car on a full battery.
"I just don't have a good feeling about thi-" You were cut off by an invisible punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of you and causing you to double over slightly.
Shit.
Robin was immediately at your side. "Woah, hey, hey, what's wrong?... It's okay. It's okay we'll get out of here-" She continued on, her panicked voice becoming like white noise in the background.
Another searing pain, this time square on the nose, then again in the gut. You let out a groan, both in pain and realization.
What the hell were they doing to Steve?
You inhaled carefully, putting your bound hands up to your face in agony.
"Shit, please, tell me what's wrong?" Robin's worried voice faded back in as she grasped at one of your shoulders.
You shook your head as you squeezed your eyes shut, feeling another blow to the face. "Steve," You choked out, tears brimming your eyes.
"What about Steve?"
You looked up to her in terror. "They're hurting him- agh!" Another punch, this one you felt deep in your ribs and made your legs give out, falling to the floor.
Robin followed, kneeling next to you. "How do you know that? What's going on?"
You panted, trying not to wheeze as it became painful to breathe properly. Another punch, right in the eye socket pushed a whimper out of you as the tears started to fall.
"Does this have to do with that weird portal thing or something?"
You shook your head helplessly, knowing just as much about that weird experiment as she did. Somehow Steve and Dustin knew about it, but that fact was far in the back of your mind now.
Another hit to the already bruised nose exploded over your face, making you struggle to hold in an audible cry.
Robin was now also on the brink of tears. "Please, please, give me something, I don't know what to do!"
With all your will you looked up at her to answer in shallow breaths. "I can feel- feel it. They're torturing him."
She put her hand up to your face scrunched up in pain. "How do you know?"
"I've always-... augh," You groaned again, letting your head drop out of her grasp as you tried controlling your reactions. It was no use. Your head was beginning to hurt as a whole. Eventually you laid down on the cold floor, helpless to any attack Steve was receiving in the other room. Helpless to stop it.
In your state, Robin didn't dare ask any more questions. Things were more complicated than she realized. Although she didn't fully understand, she knew that whatever was happening was bad. Very bad. And she was as helpless to stop it as you.
The time went by so slowly, and the punches never stopped. They kept hitting the same spots over and over and over again. If anything, they got harder and more frequent. One after the next. Occasionally you were given a break, but those breaks were experienced in tense anticipation for the inevitable next hit.
The tears were uncontrollable, slowly soaking the concrete below you. Movement hurt. Breathing hurt. Being awake hurt. Steve hurt.
What if they killed him? Would you feel that too?
The thought only spurred on the flow of tears.
The entire time, Robin was knelt beside you, a hand on your arm stroking, attempting any way possible to comfort you through your obvious torment. Both of you sat in helplessness together.
Then, finally, your tense body went limp and your whimpers halted.

I have been trying to enjoying klaus fics or any tvdu fics on wattpad but every thing I have read so far doenst show the characters accurately which is very annoying
I was hoping and want to request if you could give me some recommendations on fics on wattpad that are good. (Mainly klaus but any love interest would be good)
could you please give a short summary/review so far of any recommendation you give so I don’t waste time starting one only to not like ir
sorry if I am sounding rude English is not my first language but I can read it fully thank I you very much
Don't worry, you're not sounding rude at all, if anything you actually sound really sweet. I'm glad we share some opinions and I'm really honored you came to me for some suggestions.
I haven't read long fanfictions in a while outside works in ao3, I left Wattpad a few time ago but I'll still try my best, tho I'm not very good at giving summaries. Fair warning these are mainly fanfics I've read in Archive of Our Own, not Wattpad, but I hope it's not a problem. If it annoys you, send me an ask and I'll give you some Wattpad recommendations!

Summary:
I think we've all read those kind of tvdu fanfics where the main character is a teenager, usually related to the Gilbert or the Forbes, still in high school and who suddenly stops trying to make a life for herself just because she gets dragged into the supernatural world. Well, Patisserie is the opposite of that. For once, the main character isn't a teen but an adult around her twenties, who works at a bakery and is completely unaware of the supernatural world until Klaus decides to change that.
The slow burn is is truly worthy of a chef's kiss, the way the author describes and writes the Mikaelson is just so on point it hurts. Their family dynamic is so entertaining to watch, but it's as fucked up as it is in the show, which it's something not many authors can accomplish. The way they behave around the main character, a simple human, it's so amusing because they truly know nothing despite their age and she's just so easy to relate to, because for once the oc is not ridiculously overpowered.
The way we perceive the Mikaelson and the vampire world from a human pov is truly interesting, how she copes with all of it and eventually learns to love all of them individually while being aware of the danger is so well done. Kol and her, as well as her relationship with Klaus, are particularly interesting to read, especially considering how they all behaved around her at the beginning and especially because both of them are the most dangerous members of their family. They are all selfish creatures, and I love how it shows the more their relationships with her develop.

Summary;
You know those fanfics who fix (almost) everything problematic in canon? Apotheosis does exactly that. In this story, Klaus isn't a complete irredeemable character for once, but he also isn't half as bad as his canon version, and due to the oc being a werewolf, this fanfic does expand on his werewolf side a little more than The Vampire Diaries or The Originals ever did. His family and him actually have a healthy bond, and Finn gets the recognition he deserves for once.
The story is set in season three of TVD, exactly when Klaus and Stefan are trying to make hybrids for his pack, and in a ironic plot twist, Klaus decides to take you with him when you're still a werewolf after you say you're not worthy to be a hybrid, at least not yet.
Her devotion to him is completely endearing and I absolutely love how Klaus actually cares for his pack, especially because they're all canonical characters who were killed way too quickly. Her relationships with the members of their pack are so well written, and this fanfic it's the perfect mix of humour and seriousness. It has a ongoing sequel, which I just adore. I warn you though, all the characters have several differences from their canon versions.
Twisted Obsession (fanfiction.net, Klaus x original female character) by rocket-queen98;
Stats: Originals, M, English, Romance & Angst, chapters: 16, words: 59k+, favs: 1k+, follows: 1k+, updated: May 6, 2023 published: Aug 13, 2016, [Klaus M., OC] Elijah M., Hope M.
Summary;
Lola is one of the most adorable mc I've read. She is human and around nineteen, if I remember correctly, and just a sweet girl and adorable. She's introduced into the supernatural world thanks to baby Hope, who is just the cutest, due to her needing a mother figure now that Hayley wasn't present in her life thanks to the curse placed on her.
Her relationship with Hope is my favorite part of the whole fanfic. She doesn't suddenly turn into her mother, she doesn't intend to either, but rather becomes her best friend and Klaus and her develop a bond thanks to this. The way father and daughter interact is so heartwarming too, the subtle hints of them being werewolves, and seeing a main character having a good relationship with her father for once is a good turn, especially in tvd fanfics.
It's clear Klaus and Lola have something going on, even if they won't admit out loud, but for some reason the people around them give the impression they don't actually want them to date. There is implications something more fucked up than usual is going on with Klaus and his relationships, and I'm pretty sure him and Cami were a thing in this fic too. Surprisingly, Hayley and Cami aren't turned into absolute bitches, but there is Jackson bashing though.
The Girl in the Forest (fanfiction.net, Klaus x original female character) by noblecrescent;
Stats: Originals, T, English, Mystery & Romance, chapters: 30, words: 311k+, favs: 232, follows: 176, updated: Feb 19, 2017 published: Jan 23, 2016, [Klaus M., OC] [Elijah M., Camille O'Connell]
Summary;
This fanfic is a tetralogy of books set in The Originals, I read those fanfics a while ago so forgive me for any mistake. Maleny is a witch who was cursed, if I remember correctly, and was constantly body-jumping every short time.
In one of her lives, she met Klaus and they fell in love, but she died, if I'm not wrong, and they end up meeting again in New Orleans time later where he has a child on the way and a kingdom to conquer.
I can't remember a lot more without giving you spoilers, but it's worth checking it out!
Now, I'll give no more summaries because I honestly don't remember a lot of the next fanfics, but it's your choice if you want to read them;
A Veil Between Love and Hate (fanfiction.net, Klaus x original female character) by MandalorianHybrid;

Summary; Another five books set in The Vampire Diaries, with a story that eventually moves to The Originals.
Allure (wattpad, Klaus x oc x Stefan) by @viavolterra;
Stats: 575k Readings, 20,5k Votes, 34 Chapters
Summary;
I just could not not recommend this fanfic. Mia comes to Mystic Falls to seek revenge after Damon kills her best friend Lexi, but she of course gets dragged by the problems in that little town.
The thing I like the most about Via's story is how there is no cliché: no bashing towards Tyler or Elena, Mia actually befriends them, Bonnie gets the recognition and love she deserves, Klaus doesn't suddenly turn into a different person just because he loves the oc, he continues to be a piece of shit, and how sweet and empathetic she is, not like those reused badass mc who are just rude.
I would recommend some more, but it's kinda hard to find fanfics with a good Klaus depiction. I'm pretty sure I left out a lot of amazing fanfics, though.
