The Flash Season 8 - Retrospective Review
So I'm finally done with my Flash rewatch and am now ready to start watching the new season. Season 8 often gets grouped with Season 7 as among the worst seasons of the show, but I honestly think its a far superior season overall. I felt the same on rewatch as I did when I watched it initially. While I would still rank the first 3 seasons above season 8, I feel this is on par with season 5 and 6, better than season 4, and way better than season 7.
For one thing, I feel the divisions between the various arcs worked quite well. There is the 5 episode Armageddon arc, followed by a couple of interlude episodes, followed by a 6 episode Deathstorm arc, followed 3 more Interlude episodes, finally followed by the Negative Forces arc. Its a much more fair division of storylines. Even the interlude episodes are overall much better quality this season than last season.
I feel Armageddon is pretty fun overall. This is the closest the show has gotten to a genuine crossover since COIE. This event gets to have some pulpy fun and have some new character dynamics. It was great to have Ray Palmer appear in the premiere. Even though Barry and Ray have shared screen space before, we haven't really seen them interact one on one all that much and the episode allows for a genuine team up. Additionally, we get to see Barry and Jefferson interact as well, extending their relationship from where we saw it in COIE. There is a warmth in those interactions which feels surprisingly natural. Its shame that we never got to see more of it. Episode 4 is the obvious highlight of the event where we really get to see the Reverse-Flashpoint timeline with Thawne engaged to Iris, Barry being RF, and Alex, Batwoman, Ryan Choi all involved with team Flash. On top of that, we get Damien Darkh and Barry interacting, which is a new character dynamic that ends up being quite fun and surprisingly heartwarming as they manage to pick up some character beats from Legends, which eventually leads to a payoff for Damien Darkh and Nora Darkh, I was surprised that they decided to have that on The Flash but it worked out quite well. Despero and Thawne work well as the villains of the event. Despero is the more eminent physical threat while Thawne is the real threat. There are a few cool action sequences, especially in episode 5, where Barry takes on Despero and gets his golden boots. When it comes to weaknesses, episode 3 is a bit of a drag, mainly because we get far too much of Cecile, which is an ongoing problem throughout the season. Danielle Nicolet just overacts when she is acting overwhelmed with emotion and Cecile is fairly insufferable in episode 3. We also get a fairly needless appearance of Mia Queen, who doesn't add too much to the finale of Armageddon and we don't even get any answers for the cliffhanger of William's disappearance since Arrow backdoor pilot.
The Deathstorm arc is also pretty solid. This is really an arc which gives Caitlin and Frost the focus, which was honestly pretty refreshing. One of my favorite episodes of this though was focusing on Barry's grief over his father and his belief in a recently released prisoner's love for his son. I think its a moving episode with a very effective performance from Grant Gustin. I do like that this arc delves into Caitlin's grief that has never really gone. We see her and Frost making some very questionable decisions and what I liked is that the show delivered on consequences for those bad decisions. I was very surprised when Frost was killed off at the end of the arc but it was a bold choice. It was nice to see Robbie Amell back during this arc, and it was a reminder as to how cute Ronnie and Caitlin were together. I did like Frost's development and how she goes out protecting Caitlin, which was the purpose for which she was born. The weakness during this arc comes from the Iris side story with Sue Dearborn in Coast City. The time sickness story in general isn't great, but this subplot feels a lot like inventing a subplot because they need to give the character something to do. It really adds nothing other than just showing that Iris was being really reckless and basically almost erases someone's mother accidentally. It is nice to see Sue, but it is again a reminder of Ralph being missing and not having been even mentioned for a long time.
The Negative Forces arc in a way is a sequel arc to the Forces arc from season 7. Now I hated The Forces arc, so I was surprised that I ended up liking this arc. For one thing, it helps that Thawne is at the center of it. We get both versions of Thawne, with Matt Lescher and Tom Cavanaugh. The relationship between Barry and Thawne is consistently the strongest adversarial relationship on the show. And it works here as well. One more thing that was a step up is that they did not neuter Barry during this arc. Whereas in season 7 he was completely ineffective against the Forces, here at least he is able to deal some damage. Also, wisely, they realized that they did not have the budget to show Fuerza so we did not get the cringeworthy CGI version and just got the actress instead. We also get the resolution of the resolution of the long gestating John Diggle arc. Now, I know most people hated this because we basically have John rejecting the GL ring, though we never see the ring itself. But John becoming a GL never made sense to me at all given his entire arc on Arrow was about reuniting with his family, and then he got his daughter back after Crisis along with his son. I just didn't see how it made sense that the character would choose to become a space cop after all that. I quite liked the Diggle and Thawne interactions. I also quite liked how we saw some good Barry and Thawne interactions that was almost Hannibal Lecter like when trying to figure out the appearance of Meena Dhawan and Letscher's Thawne. I also liked that we got a genuinely good version of Thawne, which made the scene of Tom Thawne rebirthing after ripping off Letcher Thawne's face all the more effective. It was a cool little body horror moment. The final showdown between Barry and Thawne is also pretty cool, although not long enough, but I liked that Barry becomes so powerful that he doesn't even need to physically fight to eventually beat Thawne. When it comes to weaknesses, the time sickness arc still felt like it victimized Iris. She was basically just a pawn in a game being played by the forces. We again get far too much of Cecile. I don't know how many times we see Cecile telling us what people are feeling but it gets incredibly annoying real fast. Also, because of her pregnancy, Danielle Panabaker is not around much. The show essentially kills off Caitlin offscreen, which is pretty ridiculous but I need to see season 9 to finally make an assessment of how I feel about it.
The interlude episodes are much better than season 7. The Bart and Nora episode is a pretty fun one and we get to see Eddie again. The Goldface episode is also surprisingly enjoyable and we get to see a Barry and Kramer team up episode which works quite well and it goes a long way in helping Kramer become a lot more likable. The Still force episode again brings back Nora. The Barry and Nora interactions are always welcome. They also do a surprisingly good job at giving an entire episode for all character to process their grief over the death of Frost. One of my favorite episodes though is 'the Curious Case of Bartholomew Allen' which again has another stellar performance from Grant. This is also an episode which knows how to use Cecile in a correct manner and shows how the character can be likable.
The season isn't without issues. Like I mentioned, the overuse of Cecile in the wrong way grates. It is very apparent that the show has no idea what to do with Joe at this point. Quite frankly, as much Kramer is an improved character, Joe could have been in her place. There is an appearance of David Singh and his interactions with Joe are nice and allow a little explorations of Joe struggling to adapt to retirement and change. But overall, he just doesn't have enough of a presence in the season. Show struggles on what to do with Iris and 2 episode break late in the season is handled a little awkwardly. We get more of Chester and Allegra and they continue to improve as characters, though their romantic subtext doesn't really do much. I do think that Allegra's episode where she fights off last year's light villains is a lot more effective than last season's solo episode. But you do miss Cisco and Ralph at various stages of the season. This season also goes back to the well of Thawne for 2 of the arcs to get an effective villain. In the end, the individual arcs are enjoyable but they largely rely on some of the effective arcs and characters of the past to get emotional depth.
The performances are strong, with Grant Gustin really leading from the front. While Grant has always been an actor who is great at showing emotion, season 8 he delivered performances where he delivered emotion with a maturity and restraint which showed the maturity of the character and him as a performer. He is excellent throughout but 'The Curious Case of Bartholemew Allen' and 'The Fire Next Time' are two standouts. Danielle Panabaker gets to stretch during the Deathstorm arc as both Frost and Caitlin and she's great. Candice Patton is solid as always as is Jesse L. Martin. As I mentioned, Danielle Nicolet definitely overdoes parts of her performance, but she is fine when in a supportive role. Kayla Compton and Brandon McKnight are both appealing. Tom Cavanaugh is always great as Thawne. Carmen Moore as Kramer is a lot more appealing this season. Tony Curran enjoys hamming it up a little as Despero. Jon Cor gets a much expanded role as Chillblaine. While I still don't like the romance with him and Frost, he's much more tolerable this season. Natalie Dreyfuss, Jessica Parker Kennedy, JWS, Michelle Harrison, Jordan Fisher, Brandon Routh, Chyler Leigh, Javicia Leslie, Cress Williams, Osric Chau, Neal McDonough, Rick Cosnett, Katherine McNamara, Courtney Ford, Susan Walter, David Ramsey, and Rick Cosnett all make welcome appearances during the season. Its definitely a season that felt more packed with guest stars than previous seasons.
Overall, a major step up from season 7. I would give season 8 a 7.5/10. Looking forward to catching up with season 9.

Some quick googling battling my memory tells me Aquaman and Mera were the first “on camera” super hero wedding in ‘63, beating the Richards by nearly a year.
However, the Silver Age Hawks arrived on Earth already married and the Elongated Man and his Sue got married sometime between his second and third appearance (both of those in 61).
Tumblr media
More than any other hero in the DCU I think Arthur's marriage goes the most unquestioned. He NEEDS Mera, to function, to carry on, to be the man he needs and wants to be. The thought of losing her would cripple him. Action Comics 517

My critique of CW’S The Flash
The Flash is one of my absolute favourite shows, and I think it deserves one of these. Yes my favourite shows deserve critiques because there are changes I would’ve liked to see instead. This is all just my opinion on the show, not exactly hating it. Plus.. I saw someone else doing something similar to here goes.
Imma be clear at the start. I don’t hate WestAllen, just really really disappointed with how they were written in the latter seasons sometimes.
Props to every actor in the Flash who put all their effort into the show whether the script was cringe or not.
Season 1-2 was FIRE. No complaints. Loved the WestAllen.
Season 3 was good,
but I think they could’ve done Savitar better. Still liked him as the big bad being depressed/emo!Barry. I’ll say that I got really attached to Harry in S2 which made me wonder why they have HR there at all? The dude grew on me, and he added humour to the team, but honestly between him and Harry, it could’ve easily been Harry. Though it means he would die at the end.. so I’m glad Season 3 had HR Wells instead sorry not sorry.
The relationship between Julian Albert and Barry was so fun to watch. Which reminds me, LOVED Eobard’s appearance as Matt Letscher in 3x01. I have no idea why they continue to use Wells’ face like bruh. Your pretending as Wells is over so like why. GIMME MORE MATT!EOBARD.
I loved Frost???
Season 4 was also great.
I’d say more quality than season 3 because it was their first time against a big bad that WASN’T a speedster yet posed a more than adequate challenge to the team. The plot was nice and unique (I really loved Hazard!). I’ll say that DEVOE was kinda showing some red flags before becoming the Thinker in his relationship with Marlize, like he seemed kinda overly possessive of her. Glad that she switched to helping Team Flash after seeing what her husband had become. Loved her “Thinker’s first victim” line.
I felt like they started focusing on Cecile too much? Her role was vital to the plot at the end with helping Barry hop into Devoe’s mind to retrieve Ralph. And speaking of Ralph, I was neutral towards the character at first, but he grew on me. Also why fire him for sometning he did like 10yrs ago. That made no sense. I’d rather Ralph than more Cecile or Allegra.
LOVED ALL THE BANTER BETWEEN HARRY AND CISCO. And FROST FROST FROST!!! I liked her S4 outfit. I also think Barry’s supersuit was the best in this season.
One of my favourite episodes was “Flashtime”. Awesome awesome filler episode.
Season 5 was also great.
Barry’s supersuit was trash tho imo. He just looks like a weird deformed strawberry.
Above average but not quite as good as S4. LOVED NORA WORKING WITH THAWNE then Barry finding out and tossing her into the pipeline cell lol. Just the betrayal, and then dumping her in the middle of a random street in the future. Loved all the father-daughter moments she had with Barry. Cool to see the writers creativity in “meta-tech”.
However Iris.. bro in 5x19 she has some issues bringing up the fact Barry NEEDED to go into the Speedforce TWICE. And then her telling Barry to his face that she didn’t care that Nora was working with Thawne. Like bro, he murdered your husband’s mother and caused sm problems. And you don’t care about that?? Good to see that Barry called her out in the end.
Imma complain about freaking Sherloque again. Why not Harry? Even after what happened to him in S4, I think he could’ve figured out that Nora is secretly working with Thawne. Like dude’s still smart af.
Nora getting erased from existence at the very end.. sad :( I miss S5 Nora
Season 6.
I feel like this is when everything started going downhill. I didn’t care for Mirror Monarch. The mirror!Iris storyline was interesting to see. Idk what happened the rest of the season. That’s how much I didn’t care for this season lol. I think the other half was about Ramsey and how he wanted to make everyone zombies. Man I HATED Sue Dearborn or however you spell her name. She just took up too much screentime. This is when it started feeling like “Iris & Friends” instead of “The Flash”.
Liked to see how Barry dealt with slowly losing his speed bc he was killing the speedforce lol. Liked how the Caitlin/Frost duo became separate people. It was cool. At least we got that lol.
I think this is when Allegra comes in. I honestly can’t stand her. Like the whole her and her sister trope? Why.
The one thing I did like was Barry’s artificial speedforce gave him speed thinking. Awesome episode to watch. EXCEPT NASH. WHY. His sacrifice is useless in the end because of the whole “Iris is Barry’s lightning rod” thing. Have nothing about a speedster’s lightning rods in the comics, just didn’t like how that was written into the show. It eventually got really annoying.
Season 7.
Where do I even begin. This is when Barry’s “children” became a thing, and then suddenly speedforce!Nora wanting to kill all of them? Like what??? Where did that come from? Dion’s storyline was interesting. The rest were just.. Meh. And the CGI was so cringe.
I loved Abra Kadabra??? Why they gotta kill him off in one episode.
Does Chillblaine start coming in this season? I dislike him in general.
Season 8.
THIS IS WHEN BARRY’S ACTUAL CHILDREN COME BACK.
Now with Nora getting erased in S5, I really would’ve preferred if they gave us Tornado Twins instead. Like you can even use the same actors, but I honestly don’t really like the new Nora. I did like seeing her interaction between her and her family.
Also. Bart. I. Have. Major. Problems. I LOVE Bart but he is supposed to be Barry’s GRANDSON. Give us Don Allen instead. I did like the episode where they messed up the timeline, went back to 2013 and then accidentally reset Jay into the timeline. Also loved the episode with the whole Barry and the gamma radiation making him age hella fast. Bro was basically a zombie at the end and still overloaded the machine with the speedforce.
The. Stupid. Power Rangers godspeed arc was shit and them being Bart’s Thawne-like arch nemesis. Like boy, don’t compare Thawne with your godspeed problems. Don’t even start. Also what is with the “Negative Forces” and “Positive Forces” Power Rangers thing and then Iris’ time sickness? At this point, The Flash just started to feel like a soap opera.
I liked Chester even though he was a “replacement” for Cisco. He was unique. But the whole Allegra/Chester budding relationship where did that come from?? It just seemed very cringe and didn’t do much for the plot besides drama I guess. Khione was meh. Like just give us Caitlin with Frost in some way. I don’t care about Khione and her arc. Pls give us more Barry and not so much Cecile and Allegra.
Season 9
The show should just be renamed “Power Rangers: Iris & Friends” at this point. They made an entire episode without Barry?? Like if I pick up a Flash comic book, I expect it to be about THE FLASH. Not his random friends. Like yes, his friends can make appearances but don’t give me a whole dang episode without Barry THE MAIN CHARACTER. Also how the hell did Cecile become that OP, where is the character development.
Idk where Chillblaine comes in but I just don’t like him, not to mention that I don’t like the relationship between him and Frost. Like what.
Eddie’s Cobalt Blue arc and Red Death arc could’ve been done WAY better. I didn’t see any plot relevance in any way. It was written so poorly. Red Death was just like evil speedster!Batman or something. Please don’t bring our beloved Eddie back if you gonna write him all just jealous of Barry and him somehow becoming the new avatar of the Negative Speedforce. And what does Batwoman have anything to do with this (I believe she appears in the finale villains arc)l
There is legit only one episode I like in S9. The one that comes “full circle”. The one where Barry gets stuck in 2000, gets to chill with his parents for one day, and then comes full circle with Matt!Eobard killing Nora. SEASON 1 QUALITY. They even use the same bg music which awwww. And the “If I can spend one more day with my parents, then what would I say to them?” Line? Chef’s kiss.
Did not like the finale. His final run speech was okay about sharing his gift. Definitely would’ve preferred if Barry became the lightning bolt that struck him in S1 like in the comics.
Idk which episodes: Loved all the Amunet & Frost storyline, and then Goldface time to time appearances. Especially “Officer Chemist” lol.

I did a puzzle! Dearborn "helped".
It's difficult to see but the posters within the puzzle are Chicago themed, showing a lake monster eating a boat, pigeons destroying downtown, and a meteor shower (and Sue wreaking havoc) in the area of the downtown museum campus. I made the mistake of visiting Transit Tees' brickspace shop in Wicker Park while they were having a sale.
[ID: Three photos; in the first two, Dearborn the tortie is wandering around the edges of a puzzle I'm assembling, sitting on it in one and standing on it in another. In the third, the completed puzzle is shown; it is a brick wall with a "Creature Feature" movie style marquee at the top, and three "movie" posters beneath it, as described above.]

I've been working on my Earth-One version of Infinity Inc idea. Here's some of it now. I may never actually do anything with any of these ideas, but i still think my concept here isn't horrible.
Infinity Inc (Earth-One) Founding Members: The context here is that of my imaginary scenario wherein the crisis on infinite earths occurred, but it just led to a new world where elements of Earth-One and Earth-Two coexisted. But Earth-One and Earth-Two still exist, so we can get stories about an older Justice League. Or this story, about the Legion of the Forgotten (Earth-One's Version of Infinity Inc).
This team is founded in 1987, when Jason Todd, Eddie Bloomberg, Larry Lance, Artemis Prince and John Dearborn meet and bond over defeating the supervillian Doctor Light, an old foe of the original Justice League. Since the New Teen Titans (like Dick Grayson and Wally West) were replacing their mentors on the Justice League, this team got to be the new version of the Teen Titans. But Eddie, Jason, Larry, Artemis and John didn't like that name. It's too kitsch. They wanted something cooler. And so they chose a name with some real flair: The Legion of the Forgotten (because that's how they felt, being sidekicks and/or the ignored and rejected children of superheroes).
Founding members:
Robin II (Jason Todd): Jason Todd is a fairly well known character, and I'm not changing anything about his pre-crisis backstory. He's just Jason Todd. Robin. Born in 1975. Him and Eddie Bloomberg were already best friends and penpals, but they accidentally run into the other three teens on this team a few years into their friendship.
The Feathered Arrow (Larry Queen): The Adopted Son of Green Arrow and Black Canary, Larry Queen was born in 1978. Found by Black Canary when he was just a baby in 1979, Dinah insisted Oliver and her raise him. She named him for her dearly departed first husband, Larry Lance. And he got the finest training his two superhero parents could afford him. He learned archery from oliver and martial arts from dinah. He didn't often get many chances to show off his skills (since he was still young in the 80s), so he had a pretty average childhood.
And since Larry was a bit of a lonely kid, he signed up for a cross-country pen pal program. And this is how he ends up best friends with Jason Todd, living all the way on the opposite end of the country. Neither of them knows the other's secrets (that their adoptive parents are superheroes), but they end up best friends.
Jason plans a big hang out between him, larry and eddie bloomberg in NYC one summer. But sadly, Doctor Light crashes their holiday. And then these three kids end up meeting John Dearborn (nephew of sue dibny) and artemis prince (the previously unknown daughter of Wonder Woman), and they end up teaming up to save NYC. That's how the Legion of the Forgotten is born. And despite Larry being the baby of the original five team members, everyone treats him like an equal.
Kid Devil (Eddie Bloomberg): What is there to add to Kid Devil that you couldn't find online? Not much (in my opinion). Eddie Bloomberg, sidekick to the Blue Devil. Penpals with Jason Todd. Also born in 1975 (just like Jason Todd). Beyond that, i'm not changing any details of their character.

With the writers insisting on a Wells every season, I would’ve preferred if they just went with Harry instead of Sherloque. I know he “lost his intelligence” in S4 but it’s revealed to us after crisis that he’s slowly regaining it.
It would be very cool to see him figure out Nora, and maybe have his intelligence return through investigating her.
Also man the show did Ralph dirty. I forgot he was a PI with how they wrote him 😭 Or maybe it’s just because I don’t remember S6 much except for it’s where Sue Dearborn (or however it is you spell her name) came in and then the mirror Iris plot.
YEP and this might be a hot take, but I hate how they (and the fandom in general) say Harry’s “stupid” post-s4. Sure, he’s not as academically smart as he was, but he’s more balanced with IQ/EQ! That’s a good thing! And frankly, a more emotionally intelligent Harry is exactly what s5 could’ve used tbh. And it would’ve switched up the formula in an interesting way
Yeah Ralph got to show off his PI skills in s6, and I enjoyed his plot with Sue! Mirrorverse…oh boy don’t get me started 💀 I despise that plotline, and the glossed-over SA is a big part of why.

Houses of Hawkins
The main houses of nobility within Hawkins that hold political sway. There are numerous other noble houses, but these are the ones that hold power over provincial decisions and hold seats on the crown’s council. (aka canon characters)
There are a few characters who were never given names in the show so I had to come up with them (ie Steve’s parents, Chrissy’s brother, Tommy’s parents, etc)
* - indicates the head of the household.
(MAJOR spoilers for the ending of Chapter Four below)
The Harringtons:
Monarch of Hawkins. Ruled from year 1-208 of the Golden Crown.
Consists of the King, Richard Harrington*, the Queen, Catherine Harrington, and their son, Steve Harrington. Nancy Wheeler, while married into the crown, retains the name of her family, though is a member of the household by proxy. She only takes on the family name after the rebellion so as to solidify her position. Richard’s brother was the Lord of Kerley before the fall of Mirkwood when he was slain.
After the uprising, Steve Harrington is the only blood member of his lineage remaining to his knowledge.
There is one other living member of his family, unbeknownst to everyone besides the late Lady Perkins.
The Byers:
Household in charge of the province of Kerley.
Consists of Joyce Byers* and her children Jonathan, Mike, and El. They are not of nobility but were granted the title of lordship by the crown after the reclaiming of Mirkwood. Since Jonathan is the sworn sword to Nancy, Will is the heir to the lordship. Their bloodline is old, and there are whispers that their lineage stems from a family beyond the Moonlit Wall from a time during the Old Kingdom.
The Wheelers:
One of the two households who control the province of Maple. Reside in the furthest northern city in the province.
Consists of Lord Ted Wheeler*, Lady Karen Wheeler, and their children Mike, Nancy, and Holly. Nancy was originally the heir to the household, but relinquished it to her brother upon marrying Steve.
The Sinclairs:
One of the two households who control the province of Maple.
Consists of Lord Charles Sinclair*, Lady Sue Sinclair, and their children Lucas and Erica. Lucas is the heir to the estate, but Erica has been trained since she was young for the role as well.
The Hendersons:
One of the two households who control the province of Elm.
Consists of Lady Claudia Henderson*. Her husband died by assassination during a visit to Loch Nora - no one has yet been convicted of any charges. Her son, Dustin, is presumed dead after the final siege of Moonlit Wall. It is assumed her household will die with her, but there are rumours she may give her title to one of the children from the north (Erica Sinclair or Holly Wheeler).
The Cunninghams:
One of the two households who control the province of Elm.
Consists of Laura Cunningham*, Phillip Cunningham, and their children Chrissy and Hayden. With Chrissy killed during the war, her younger brother Hayden is the only heir to the seat. They all hold a deep resentment to the crown after Steve vindicated the man they feel is responsible for Chrissy’s death.
The Hagans:
Household in charge of Dearborn.
Consists of Lord Bernard Hagan*, Lady Margery Hagan, and their son Tommy Hagan. Lord Hagan’s sister, Henrietta Hagan, was the ruler of Loch Nora before relinquishing her title to her nephew, Tommy. While Tommy leads Loch Nora, his wife Carol Hagan will be the regent in her future child’s steed should Bernard pass before Tommy relinquishes his title in Loch Nora.
The Perkins:
Household in charge of Denfield.
Consists of Lady Elizabeth Perkins and her array of daughters and granddaughters - including her estranged granddaughter, Carol Hagan. Lady Perkins has named Vickie, a previoiusly unknown decedent only recently reunited with her house name, as her heir. There are rumours it was intended for Carol before her marriage to the Hagan household.
The Carvers:
Household in charge of Mulberry.
Consists of Lord Gordon Carver*, Lady Rose Carver, and their son Jason Carver. Jason is the sole heir to the estate. They are the leaders of the uprising and subsequent political upheaval. And, [redacted until chapter 5/6 release].
The Wrights:
One of the two households who control the province of Sinai.
Consists of Lord Merrill Wright*, his wife and children.
The McCorkles:
One of the two households who control the province of Sinai.
Consists of Lord Eugene McCorkle*, his wife, and children.

44. Ralph‘s McCulloch Tech Break In (The Flash Season 7)
Tumblr media
This was happening offscreen during the last few episodes oft he Mirror Verse act. We never got to see it, even though it was a major plotpoint, which always sucks. Now, before the production was shut down Hartley actual shot stuff for 6x20, however those scenes were cut out of the episode and replaced when the episode was pushed back to Season 7 and Hartley was fired inbetween seasons. And we don’t even know if this Ralph (and presuambly Sue)-Stuff would have been said Break In into McCulloch or something completly different, but if those scenes exist, it would be interesting to see them for various reasons. And actually seeing Ralph and Sue breaking into McCulloch and him getting hurt would have made Season 7 and the End of the Mirror Verse Arc not only better but also more like an actual working show instead of the sorry excuse for a show that most of Season 7 has become in Times of Covid. (And he can you know shapeshift, they wouldn’t even had to use Hartley).

The Flash Comes To Fortnite!
The Flash Comes To Fortnite!
The Flash may be weeks away from its seventh season, but Barry Allen’s fast enough to be in two places at once. Fortnite’s Twitter account has announced “The Flash Cup,” featuring a skin based upon Grant Gustin‘s fourth season costume. It made its debut in the fourth season premiere following Barry Allen’s return from The Speed Force. It’s adapting the hit CW series version of The Fastest Man…

You do NOT UNDERSTAND. I JUST FOUND OUT THEY CAST SUE DEARBORN.
AND SHE IS 5'2.
THE TOL AND THE SMOL. I CANNOT.
I literally know nothing else about Natalie Dreyfess. She is lovely, but I've never seen her in anything. Google tells me she was stumping for seals, so that's cool.
I'm just glad that The Flash decided to feed into my obsession with this atheistic. Thank you, show. You have taken Carlos from me for awhile, so obviously you owe me SOMETHING.

Part two of my post about the founding members of Earth-One's Infinity Inc. This one features a crossover with Percy Jackson, The X-Men, and an older Snapper Carr.
Artemis Prince: Wonder Woman's unheard of child. Born of an affair in 1972 between Wonder Woman (back when she'd renounced her superpowers) and PI Johnny Double, Artemis grew up never knowing who her parents were. She was an orphan girl living in manhattan, but even worse: she was an orphaned Demigod in the biggest city in New York City. She was a prime attraction for monsters.
If you don't know where I'm going with this, I'm throwing in a new property to this story. Artemis Prince ends up at Camp Half-Blood by the time she turns 8 or 9 (we probably can't actually say Camp Half-Blood, but it'll be very, very heavily implied). At Camp, she learns all the skills she needs to defend herself. She becomes a skilled warrior and fighter, but she still has no clues to who her parents actually are.
In 1987 (when she's around 15), Doctor Light comes to attack NYC. And coincidentally, John Dearborn was there on summer vacation (from his studies at a school heavily implied to be Professor X's Academy), and Larry Lance, Jason Todd and Eddie Bloomberg were finally meeting up (after ending up mostly being pen pals for the longest time). Then Artemis runs into the other four, and they work together to stop Doctor Light. And this is born The Legion of the Forgotten!
The Ropesmith (John Dearborn): Sue Dibny's Nephew, John Dearborn is a mutant with the ability to summon, create and control ropes made of pure energy. Born in 1974, John's mother died giving birth to him. His father raised him for a while, but then he died in a car crash when John was 3.
Adopted by Ralph and Sue in 1977, John began really manifesting his mutant powers when he was 9 (in 1983). Unsure what to do, a kind old professor in a wheelchair agreed to watch over John during the school years, at his private academy in Westchester County, NY. What I'm getting at here, is that John Dearborn went to Professor Xavier's Academy for Gifted Youngsters. We might not explicitly say it, but it'll always be heavily implied. He'll loosely mention the teachers and staff there, like it's a second home to him.
But while on summer vacation in 1987, visiting the big city (when he's around 13), John gets roped into fighting the supervillian Doctor Light. And while he fights Doctor Light, he bumps into four other teens who're also trying to fight the evil master of light waves. And after these five heroic teens team up to defeat Doctor Light and bring him to Justice, a new iteration of the Teen Titans is created.
Snapper Carr: Snapper Carr is the team's mentor. Like the Star-Spangled Kid was for Infinity Inc. This team comes into existence around 1998/99, when Snapper's around 54/55. Being a now middle aged man who used to help the Justice League back in the 60s, Snapper eagerly decided to support and back this team of Justice League heirs and descendants.
He's portrayed as a bit of a burnt out beatnik, still talking in thick 60s slang, slang which is absolutely confusing to the members of this team of young heroes. He still calls himself Snapper and loves snapping his fingers when he's excited. He also loves regaling the team with stories of the good old days, when he helped the league fight despero, kanjar ro, starro and many others. He's like the team dad, i suppose you could say.
Red Tornado: The secondary team dad. Being a robot, Red Tornado is functionally immortal (as long as he has someone there to repair him). And since the League knew Snapper couldn't reliably be trusted to guard the kids all on his own (considering his brief moments of treachery back in the 60s and 70s), they assigned Red Tornado to serve as Snapper's second-in-command, helping him guard and watch over the kids.

The Flash 6x16
My main thought: Cisco, stop hitting on Ralphs future wife! That’s not cool, bro. (And maybe you know notice that your girlfriend isn’t your girlfriend instead, but given that Barry seems only to start noticing after one and a half months that his wife is not his wife, I know you won’t anytime soon, so just stop hitting on Sue!)
