i've recently rewatched 4x01 and 4x02 and i still can't understand what logan has against gerri... did i miss something? in 4x02 he said something along the lines of "but without gerri", why? and why do you think roman has to knife her? what the hell is going on?

i mean there are a couple slight indications of where logan's thinking might be in regards to gerri in the first two episodes, they're just quick moments, so may not stand out as much as the other big moves going on!

the two big pieces to me are a) he's still holding a grudge about the dick pic incident (he hangs her out to dry until the last possible moment in 3x09 to make her sweat, then is still digging at her for it all these months later in 4x01) and b) when the gojo deal goes through, she's not going to be an employee of his any more (in 4x02 they sort of confirm that hugo/frank/karl/gerri are all positioned to continue on as gojo/waystar employees, while logan will take his atn spin-off and continue with tom/greg/cyd/kerry). i think the combination of those two factors lead him to see her as an adversary, and we’ve seen historically how he treats people that he perceives as his enemies. 

as far as why roman has to get involved, like i said in this other ask, i think he’s either using roman as a tool to try and embarrass or punish her, or he’s pitting roman against her to make roman prove his loyalty and/or prove that he’s not interested in her anymore (or both at the same time! lol!)

My therapist asking me if I had a youtube channel for general cancer info last week honestly got me thinking. Professionally I AM a cancer educator and my audience is other healthcare professionals, but god so daunting to think of presenting to audiences larger than 50 or so at a time :S it has always been a passion to digest high level research and then translate it into understandable language - - I do it a lot for family+friends dealing with ominous or confusing medical news. Idk! He put it really well when he said even my "basic" knowledge can help people better understand some of the most life-altering medical realities affecting them.

When we think Sarah has even changed Ray's birthday date to avoid Isabella to suspect he's her son, it's wild. I mean it's valid, she WOULD have been suspicious if Sarah had given her a baby who shared her own baby's birthday. Like she would probably suspected it immediatly. (I also bet that Sarah waited Ray's shippement day to told at Isabella's face "ho by the way, it was your son that you just see die" just to hurt her/break her) Have you a headcanon of what could be his real date?

This might be a better question for someone big on astrology because the specific date is immaterial to me, much like it appears to be for Shirai.

What matters is the aforementioned deception by those in power for Isabella, a reminder how despite the position she secured for herself she was still the demons' pawn, and how it's one more thing denied to Ray by the overarching farm system and potentially his mother. If he asked her about it, it was one more concession he made to her, another reinforcement of the power she held over him, and assuming all the other birthdays provided to us are true, it's one more thing to separate him from his siblings.

It might bother him while he's suffocating under the oppressive aura of the house, but post-escape, he's able to embrace the false birthday designated by headquarters in earnest, completely divorcing it from all earlier ill feelings.

I imagine in the future if they ever find out his true birthday and they asked him if he'd like to change the day they celebrate it, he'd turn down the idea, citing it as the day he and fourteen other members of his family experienced their first morning of freedom.

My fear is that roman is going to start internalizing a lot of logan's beliefs and attitudes, and he's going to take them out on gerri, just like logan did :(

so funny that you say that because i can see it going that way, but i also thought after watching the trailer "oh ken is going to go full logan huh" – between some of the stuff we're seeing (him getting physical with roman, yelling at rava, taking more prominent/aggressive lead with matsson, him wearing a full waystar jacket with a brightstar cruises patch (!!!) on the chest) and just, like, narratively as the lead, feels like a road they would take him on

or maybe the gag is that all three of the main kids start becoming more and more like logan and take it out on the people closest to them
