The picture in Adam’s glove rendezvous has a the man (who looks like Greenmantle, which is to say like a combination of Ronan and Gansey, which is to say he looks like Declan but I digress) standing next to a German made car.

I could have sworn in addition to the Gansey comparing Adam to the Pig scene there was a scene where Ronan did as well but I looked up every time the word “Camaro” is mentioned in the Dream Thieves + The Raven King (only books with Ronan pov chapters) and did not find this so I wonder if I made it up, or saw someone else misremember and then adopted it in my memory. Someone enlighten me if not. There are certainly others but I either couldn’t remember them or couldn’t find text evidence to confirm they were real. Of course, you might say that some of these were likely more intentional from a doylist pov than others, however the text is the text and motifs are motifs. I am simply an academic presenting my findings to you all.

Also the Latin line is said twice once when the Camaro breaks down Ronan says it jokingly to Gansey in the scene where he also puts a leg over Adam’s, then Adam remembers it after a breakdown in TDT as applying to how he’s a “trainwreck” right before finding himself in Ronan’s dream. Feel the others are self explanatory enough but thought this one merited explanation if you haven’t reread recently.

So the Target novelisation is out! Highly recommend it, an extremely good time that somehow gives us a ton of backstory on Rogue while also still leaving things very open for fic.

Rogue being horrendously into the Doctor

His gorgeous brown eyes beamed up at Rogue from the middle of the crowd. For the first time in a long time, Rogue felt that jolt of electricity when you meet that person. That next person who might be the one to change your life.

the main thing that impressed him was how stylish it all was. How well placed and how welcoming. Rogue had only known the Doctor for one night, but it was clear this ship was perfectly made for the person who travelled in it.

Usually, the imaginary conversations Rogue had with [Art] were when he was alone in the ship but in moments of crisis sometimes, he would imagine him, a life raft in a sea of social interaction nightmares.

‘Can’t I storm off alone?’ said Rogue. ‘I would rather not talk in front of this many people.’

‘Don’t blame me! De Lacaille chose them! Great astronomer, bad with names.’ Then he smiled cheekily. ‘But if it’s romance you’re after? He also named those stars there the pump, the chisel and Norma.’ Okay, he was flirting now. Ruby would be furious with him if this silly side quest was what got him killed.

‘Not what I’m after,’ replied Rogue, his tone back to matter-of-fact but his face blushing a little.

Then he stepped forward and wrapped the Doctor in his arms and kissed him. It was a soft, passionate kiss, full of promise. The moment was tender. Romantic. It was theirs.

As he fell, his mind had one, clear thought. Worth every second.

Of all the timelines they could both have inhabited, Rogue was grateful that their eyes had met on this one. What a great surprise that had been from the universe. Yes, right now, he was lonely, but time wasn’t linear, and this was his favourite thing about it. Rogue was sitting in this cave, but he was also walking with the Doctor in the garden, he was laughing with Art in the Yossarian, he was falling from a building, he was running from one memory of his life to another. All at once.

Rogue was in the Doctor’s arms, spinning around and around, for ever.

So, first two minutes of Hazbin has been posted on Prime's YouTube channel and HOLY SHIT it was two stylish minutes!

And we learn the history of Hell's creation. We learn that Lucifer was once a dreamer. That he had all sorts of ideas to change the world.

... Kinda like Charlie.

But his actions was what infested Earth with evil. And he was sent to Hell for his... dare I say... pride.

That might be why Charlie has a less than great relationship right now to her father. Because Lucifer can see the dreamer he used to be in his daughter.

Is it possible that Lucifer is taking out his frustrations born from self loathing on Charlie? That he punish her for being a dreamer like he used to be?

The main character is Charlie Morningstar who is running a hotel to rehabilitate sinners in hell so they can go to heaven. Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer. Currently, Charlie is in a bland relationship with a female fallen angel named Vaggie. So what bothers me about their relationship? Their relationship starts out based on a lie. Charlie found Vaggie in an abandoned alley, put a big bandaid on Vaggie's head and nursed Vaggie back to health after her eye had been stabbed out. Their romance bloomed out of Charlie being a nurse to Vaggie after Vaggie was kicked out of heaven for refusing to kill a demon child. Vaggie poses as a moth demon and lies to Charlie about her origins until the angel Adam reveals the truth about where Vaggie comes from. Charlie gets upset but eventually she makes up with Vaggie. I didn't care for Charlie taking Vaggie back. Vaggie lied about who she was to Charlie. Also, Charlie/Vaggie has no chemistry. Vaggie just seems to be with Charlie because Charlie was nice to her in patching her up. That's it. The two girls don't seem to have any common hobbies or interests with each other. Vaggie is just focused on helping Charlie follow her dreams and doesn't seem to have any self interests or worth beyond doing what Charlie wants. Vaggie should be with someone else who will help her realize her own hopes, dreams and goals.

Now unto to most interesting character: Alastor. He was a southern radio host and serial killer before he was killed in a deer hunting accident. Alastor is partly fascinating because of his backstory. As a human, Alastor was born into a mixed Creole family in New Orleans and saw the Stock Market Crash of 1929. He was close friends with fellow demon Mimzy who worked at a jazz club with him when they were both still humans. As a demon, Alastor wears a very stylish coat, pants, has hooves and other physical attributes like a deer. Now, Alastor has a twisted code of ethics which can be read in this free comic link to someone else's tumbler page which shows what a day in Alastor's life in hell is like:

So why Alastor/Charlie? Gosh, the chemistry between these two would be intriguing! Charlie is a dreamer and needs someone who isn't afraid to be realistic with her. Alastor isn't afraid to speak his mind with Charlie. Alastor tells Charlie when she messes up but he doesn't let her have a pity party either. After Charlie comes back from heaven, she is down in the dumps about Vaggie lying to her. Alastor is the one who gets Charlie to get out of bed and go look for an army of demons to fight angels. Alastor is supposed to be asexual but he does mention to Rosie that being with Charlie is being on the winning side. Alastor also tells Charlie she is a charming southern belle. On a slight level, Alastor does seem to find Charlie to be very charming with her singing and charisma. Now, Charlie hasn't been shown to be attracted to Alastor but she does rely on Alastor to protect the hotel. She also made a deal with him indicating she has a certain level of trust that he won't hurt her. Charlie is usually comfortable when talking to Alastor and he seems to enjoy talking to her even when he is insulting her. With her warmth and brightness, Charlie would bring some light into the dark solitude Alastor has built up around himself save for Husk, Niffty, Rosie and Mimzy. A Little Moxxie Love:Morningstar Delights

Ask anyone in Hell Especially within all of the pride circle, from Imp city to pentagram city what the biggest joke around was? And chances are the more cynical nihilists and sinners would tell you it was Princess Charlemagne Morningstar’s (Charlie to those of a more intimate, affectionate and informal nature) personal pet passion project, The Happy Hotel (or Hazbin depending who you asked). Really a hotel for rehabiltating and redeeming sinners to get them into Heaven? The very idea was to some a bad punchline but all the same she herself believed in it wholeheartedly.

Call her a naive dreamer or a hopeless fool, it was her dream and she felt any sinner could be redeemed. But of course she ahd some people who even if they didn't quite share the sentiments, they were more than ready to be ride or die for the princess of hell. Particularly and especially her girlfriend Vagatha, or Vaggie as she preferred, even if she did wish Charlie would downplay her whole vibe of being what basically happened if Hell had a Disney princess. But Vaggie loved Charlie of course and she was more often than not willing to do whatever was asked of her...but sometimes she wondered if this was a case where she definitely had to put her foot down and just say NO, absolutely not!!

Vaggie:*Blushing up a storm as Charlie was busy adjusting her ensemble. The lacey white lingerie hugging her figure quite generously.*"Seriously, how did I let you talk me into this again? Right about now I'd actually rather be stuck in a room with Angel...and that's saying something..."*Oh she already knew the answer of course. It's because she could never say no to Charlie especially when she flashed those big ol' puppy eyes of hers.*

Charlie:*her ever present energetic grin on her sunny face as she finished, looking her girlfriend and herself over. Her own black lace lingerie really highlighting her alabaster complexion and making for a matching compliment to her lover.* "Vag, I guarantee it, once you meet and get to know this guy, you're gonna adore him. After all, wouldn't you like to rub it in Angel's face if he ever again asked you "if you had to pick a dude?" *Charlie wasn't surprised to find Vaggie mull it over of course, knowing it'd be one of her few spiteful perks just to stick it to Angeldust. Plus this was all on the downlow so no risk of gossip save for a select few sworn to secrecy...under penalty of death, because come on, this is Lucifer and Lilith's little princess after all!!*

Well the death penalty was more Alastor's idea...or a joke, it was ll the same with the Radio Demon host, but he assured any and everyone under the roof of the Hotel would keep their knowledge if any about this secret as can be. Yes somehow even Nifty would be on her best behaviour as the couple turned their heads to a knock on the door, signalling their secret guest had arrived and on time with a few minutes to spare, talk about punctual. Charlie giving herself and her girlfriend a quick look over in their rather stylish lacey lingerie ensembles, snow white for Vaggie and silky midnight black for herself, she had originally wanted to try something like naughty nun outfits but her girlfriend vetoed that option. Mainly because the one eyed girl knew her self control would lose itself at the sight of the princess of hell in such a thing, God help her....

Charlie:*eagerly clapping with excitement as she went over to answer, opening to greet none other than Millie and Moxxie, the latter looking like he'd be walking the Green Mile and the former well as spunky and feisty as ever.*"Hiiiiiii, so wonderful to see you guys here safe and sound, I hope it wasn't too much trouble?"*Greeting and welcoming the pair into the room like the chipper hostess she was as she closed the door behind them, locking it up after putting out a do not disturb sign of course. No uncomfortable silence left hanging in the air as the Wrath imp spoke up in response.*

Millie:”Ooh not at all though uuuh Angeldust and your cleaning lady did try flirting with Moxxie but can’t say I’m not flattered, jsut can’t get sidetracked now can we?”*She and Charlie shared an amused giggle while Moxxie just blushed recalling that brief encounter. Oh yes the porn star snd the shortstack cyclops we’re about as subtle and direct as getting hide on the side of the skull with a gold brick. The imp of course did his best not stare too much at the princess of hell who was hot as all well,you know, in ehr lingerie. Which was mission impossible of course given Vaggie was in a similar matching set of her own, looking stunning in spite of her own conflicted expression.*

Vaggie of course rolled her eyes at the antics of her girlfriend snd the spunky little imp who she conspired with to make this little arrangement happen. Frankly it was an infernal miracle they got anyone in the hell to agree to a nondisclosure agreement, after all the tabloids especially the Vox media would have a field day about the scandal of the princess of hell and her fallen angel lover having a four way with a married pair of imps!! Seemed even Alastor was willing to look the other way, that grinning radio voodoo troll, so that was a small relief. The one eyed Latino girl clearing her thoughts as she decided to help ease Moxxie of any sense of doubt or discomfort he was doubtless having about this.

Now that chapter 2 is mostly over for all the members but Jin (whose chapter 2 is finally starting!), I wanted to write down my thoughts on how I think each member's reputation and image changed, what I learned about them, what my perception of them is now, etc.

For J-Hope, I think this was a great opportunity for him to "free" himself from the hope persona - which is very important and true to him but also constricting - and to promote himself more as a musical artist than a dancer - despite being the main dancer, even in his BTS solos Hobi usually chooses to limit his dancing. I think Hobi showed a cooler, smoother, stylish, more mature side of himself that increased his popularity and brand and resonated with a lot of people. He also proved that he's more than capable of going solo, even if I personally have mixed feelings about his voice.

I think Suga's chapter 2 was relatively "forgettable". He already had the image he wanted, released the music he wanted, produced what he wanted, so there was nothing to prove or show. Suga dropped an album that I'm pretty sure he didn't think was anything special and then went on tour. He also had fun with Suchwita. I think most of what he did was for Army and BTS, with the exception of the tour which was also for him. I don't think his solo ventures really felt like him going solo, but more like a side job. He did well, but I'm not sure his popularity, reputation, or image changed substantially - I mean, no more than expected.

RM had a pretty wild chapter 2. Through Indigo he explored a more artistic and uncensored side we all knew of, but it was in the build-up to RPWP than he started to express his opinions more freely. His amazing and diverse collabs also helped show a cooler and trendier side of him. RPWP was the game changer though. I think RM finally "escaped" his BTS leader image and mainstreamed this sexy, quirky, artsy, smart yet unserious image which he already had but the GP didn't know. Music wise, he's the one who did the most, showed the most, and had the most incredible material - even if his music isn't mostly to my taste. He's the most natural soloist along with JK imo.

V chose a path similar to Suga's. He did a lot of variety, which we already knew he liked, hanged a lot with the Wooga Squad, who we already knew, released a few songs in a style we knew he liked, did lots of photoshoots and work in fashion, which we also already knew he enjoyed... I don't think V took chapter 2 very "seriously" in the sense that he didn't strategically try to brand himself differently or find his own voice. He might've even released Layover a bit more for us than himself. He already had a strong brand and didn't change it. I think his popularity decreased a bit comparatively to Jikook because he was very lowkey.

Jungkook... well, he exploded in popularity. He had his BWL moment in Dreamers and L&R, his Dynamite in Seven, and his Butter in SNTY - kinda. His songs are GP friendly and in English, so they had a lot of impact, and his CK campaigns were genius marketing because they helped build this image of a sexy, attractive, gender nonconforming guy who can be both gender neutral and conventionally masculine. CK is also accessible to a lot of people so he got his face (and body) plastered all over the world. The collabs helped some too. Jungkook really committed even if at first he wasn't sure about releasing an album. I think he grew the most as a performer. He has continuously showed growth over the years, but imo he grew the most during the pandemic and chapter 2. His singing and dancing became more refined and unique, his stage presence and stamina improved. He was on fire with SNTY. Jungkook's vocals, dancing (eg. the sultry, relaxed hand movements he does now), stage presence, visuals, attitude, etc., all reached another level, an iconic level. Jungkook really changed his image, beginning in 2022 when his lives become so unfiltered - he sang his heart out, shared his life, didn't censor himself as much. I think Jungkook changed a lot - dropped the veil a bit -, and his music was a natural progression of him letting more of himself show. At first I didn't get it, but now I think it all fit JK really well - even if I don't/didn't like all of it. He's so effortlessly confident and comfortable on stage now, though. He might not have grown as a songwriter, but he grew so much as a performer, which is his art.

Lastly, Jimin... he surprised the most tbh, but in a negative-ish way. I had huge expectations for him and felt disappointed with his solo chapter. His image changed a lot, but in his case I loved the "old" Jimin better... I wanted something like Filter and Lie, I wanted him to show amazing dances and visuals. But he really went on a different route. He focused on singing and music the most, investing a lot in writing his own stuff, which is great but a bit unexpected. He focused a lot on inner reflection and less on his idol self, which up until then I thought was what he wanted us to see the most. And by becoming less "idol-like", he changed a lot. His choreos are more relaxed and less attractive now imo, and he engages his dance crew a lot whereas before he mostly carried his dances alone. He also showed us a much shier and reserved side of himself. His vocals changed too, or at least how he sounds in songs... I know Jimin had a lot of success, but I was surprised by how "unremarkable" I found him as a soloist. I thought he would set the world on fire, but he didn't take many risks on stage - his songs were risky, but not his performances or styling - or stand out that much. During Face he even looked a bit uncomfortable. He shines in BTS, but I don't believe Jimin truly shined on his own - not like he could've. I find his image less attractive and marketable now than pre-2022 Jimin - and that's okay but I lost a lot of interest in him as a performer. I used to love his fancams, but now I don't really care. He's still the cutest and loveliest, but, selfishly, this is not the artist Jimin I wanted.

Anyway, I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this!
