[Doctor Who - 15thâs Doctor and his companions/friends/and a love interest đ]
⨠Iâve loved them all, and even though the 15th Doctorâs run was short and bittersweet, it was such a beautiful ride. Iâve grown to adore Ncutiâs Doctor, along with Ruby Sunday, Belinda Chandraâand a special shoutout to Rogue (He and Doctorâs short love story would be one of the spotlight within my heart). Thank you for everything, truly. đĽşđŤ

Rogue can tell thereâs no additional dirt from the TARDIS. He knows exactly how grubby his hands are.

Who Would Wish for That?
John Smith wanted to reach through the warm fuzz of the television screen, and know what it was like to touch the man behind it.Â
His hair was curly, what would it feel like under his fingers? Belinda's hair was curly, didn't he like Belinda's hair? But this was different. His hair was short, but not like his, more like Ibrahim's.Â
He wanted to hold his hand, and it would feel different to Belinda's, who was smaller than him. Her hands were soft and hair nails small and pointed, but they were never marred by her cleaning and cooking and mothering, because the world was good like that. What was it like to hold a hand the size of his own, blunt and worn, and run with him?
He wanted to know what it was like to make that man's mouth smile, and laugh, and to press it to his own. He knew what it was like to kiss him, didn't he? Just for a moment, like a memory of a dream, a stranger's thumb catching tears on his cheek, and it made him feel sick.Â
But when he thought of the easy teasing of the man on the screen, he couldn't help but smile to himself.Â
I miss you. Well, more than that, I love you.
John Smith's heart hammered so hard it was like he had more than one. But it had felt right. It had felt like something he already knew. Was it really possible, out there, to love a man like a wife?
He wanted to see the stars reflected back in his eyes. He wanted to feel him by his side. He wanted to run with him and never stop.
But he must have been wrong. Because the thought of this life with him, every happy-morning good-bye happy-day good-night kiss, spare chaste touches without meeting eyes, nights facing the wall with warmth bleeding through the distance in the sheets, felt unbearable.

my favorite quotes from the Rogue book and original scripts for no particular reason and with no context - SPOILERS ofc
book âI guess when youâre that rich youâre always laughing, he thoughtâ
âWatching the wealthy gorge themselves, on wine and each other, he found a bitter taste in his mouth, knowing that far from the walls of this estate, most of the population was living in abject povertyâ
âitâs strange the shape time takes when you lose someone [...] but when you felt youâd lived through the main event of your life, everything else - that extra bit of life you found yourself wandering through - was a bit like an epilogue.â
âHis gorgeous brown eyes beamed up at Rogue from the middle of the crowd. For the first time in a long time, Rogue felt that jolt of electricity when you meet that personâ
âOk, we have an ego here and apparently an inventor, thought the Doctor. Thatâs- âCuteâ he said, which only spurred on Rogue.Â
âThe bounty hunter's strong, the Doctor thought. Confirmed.â
âKylie Minogue started to blare loudly around the ship, and not kist any Kylie, classic Kylie. The fine dining choice from her music menu, âCanât Get You Out of MY Headââ (thereâs a note to this: âIt is, of course, destined to become Earthâs national anthem in 4055.â)
âThe Doctor could see by Rogueâs change in demeanor that he should probably have spent less time dancing and a little more time escapingâ
âThis Doctor liked that Doctor, and hoped he was getting to relax all those miles and years away right now. Not a care in the world. His only worry being what biscuit next to dunk in his coup of teaâÂ
âRogue just stared in awe, taking in the Doctor, all of them. Youâre beautiful, he said.â
âRogue could not have known this would be their last week together. It was the inescapable. They could jump through time together, see so many beautiful worlds blossom with life and watch that happen over and over, but this did not mean that either of them could escape time themselves. In some ways it was timeâs greatest gift, the not knowing. [...] He wondered how long he would have with this new and wonderful stranger, and then also why he was troubling himself with the though at all. He could feel and excitement building in his stomach; it was terrifying, all the ways in which this could go sidewaysâ
âHe walked up to the blue box, pushed open the door and took the fist teps into the next chapter of his life.â
âIâm always me; people either like that or they don't, Ruby concluded. And that way, I find friends that like me for who I really amâ
"Rogue had met many dreamers and magicians in his travels. It was surprising how manny had bounties on their heads; he immediately recalled quite a complicated winter with Houdini.â
âRogue got the feeling that when people met the Doctor, they would often uproot everything for himâ
From Art's letter, to Rogue's next partner and Rogue: âI hope youâve made a least one friend since my passingâ âApart from this, however, what you will find is a great man who I loved with every part of my soul. Please give him a hug from me and do not name a child or dog in my memory when you move in together. A cactus is fine though.â âAnd Rogue, if it is you reading this letter, don't let me worry about you. I did enough of that when I was around and oh, the time i wasted. Dont hide. [...] Live. Talk with everyone. Laugh. Dare to ask someone, is this seat taken?. And Most importantly, don't forget to dance. Thatâs the best part.â
âCanât I storm off alone? said Rogue. I would rather not talk in front of this many peopleâ
âThe worlds I could show you. Thatâs what the Doctor had said to him in the tardis. A phrase that was playing over and over in his head. [...] Heâd not been asking the Doctor for marriage, but for some simple commitment, A sign he should stay longer than this one adventureâ
âIf itâs not our problem, whose is it? The Doctorâs voice was cold, angry. [...] Youâre choosing not to care. [...] Rogue knew that if he chose to walk away now, hw would be waking away alone. [...] The Doctor let go of Rogueâs hand and climbed in through the window, and Rogue did what he knew he would do for ever. Follow him.â
âHe was now trapped with the Chuldur, but he was not afraid. [...] He couldnât lose anyone else. But he was ready to be the one who was lost.â
âThe world continued to dance as if nothing had happened the night beforeâ
âThen he popped [the ring] on his finger. It looked good. A little piece of Rogue to go with him.â
âHe had agreed that he wasnât going to be lost anymore. Because Rogue had realised he was worth findingâ
âRogue was grateful that their eyes had met on this one. What a great surprise that had been from the universe, Yes right now he was lonely, but time wansnât linear and this was his favorite thing about it. [...] Rogue was in the Doctorâs arms, spinning aroun d and around, for everâ
script Up on the balcony is a very handsome stranger, ROGUE (early 30s, brooding, mysterious, probably writes poetry).
ROGUE Unless youâre going to screw... â...me,â no, stops himself. Oops. Pause.
ROGUE (loving it) Is that Iâm hot, or youâre hot? THE DOCTOR No, itâs just, um - ROGUE Whoâs hot, Doctor? Cos youâre not
MISS TALBOT I liked it when they were happy and carefree and gay
ROGUE (CONTâD) I just canât... I mean. The Doctor turns back round, slowly. Rogue takes a DEEP BREATH, steadying himself. ROGUE (CONTâD) I just canât get you out of my head. Boy, your loving is all I think about The Doctor turns back, smiling. He clocks it but unknown to the crowd, Rogue has started to recite the words to Kylie Minogueâs âCanât Get You Out of My Headâ [...] ROGUE (CONTâD) Wonât you stay? Stay forever and ever? With me. The Doctor is genuinely a little flustered as he takes the ring off Rogue. He is better at this than he expected. EVERYONE in the hall is looking at them now. It worked.
THE DOCTOR & ROGUE run, HAND-IN-HAND. Iconic image: two men, in 1813, running together, wild, exhilarated.
He pops it on his finger. It looks good. He smiles at it sadly. A little piece of Rogue to go with him. END OF EPISODE
