How would Lilith/Lucien react to an MC who's allergic to pollen? They give the MC flowers and the MC is like "I really appreciate the gesture, they're beautiful, thank you, and I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say this wasn't a murder attempt (regardless of if they're poisonous or not), now if you'll excuse me, I'm going sneeze my lungs out somewhere in private"

Whoopsies. (do you want to punish them?) In the future, if they can remove the stamens like with lilies or use very tight blooms to reduce the pollen-count, then they’ll do that and supplement any bouquets with foliage so they’re as hypoallergenic as possible. (did they do good?? 🐕) If MC is super sensitive and can’t handle those either, then they’ll just make them artificial flowers out of other foliage/dried petals, paper, feathers etc. You’ll just find them folding little origami flowers in their rare spare moments so they can randomly whip them out for MC later.

I really liked it and I am excited to see more of it. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it, but I was totally absorbed just in the first passages. It was so damn juicy, and I also maybe cried a bit because that's what I do, lol. The setting is super cool and I got super attached to the MC and Luca pretty fast.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dark fantasy. ^_^

Hey, it's Nosoi. Or Phobos. He/Him. I've never been good at introductions, so be patient w/ me here.

Some things about me are: There's no way I'd be able to count all the fandoms I'm in without forgetting at least the half of it. But I like to write (though I don't often share them online), draw just a tiny bit (which is mostly oc art), and read. Quite a lot.

• I'm INFJ 5w4, I have AuDHD, all the good stuff. Currently hyperfixated on Interactive Ficton/Novels. Some (but not all) of my favorites are Fool Me Once, Perfumare, Can't Save Your Love From Dying, Infamous, Speaker, Mind Blind, Body Count, Project Hadea, Disenchanted, Stygian Sun: Total Eclipse, Crown of Ashes and Flames, The Bastard of Camelot, Love After Death, Siren Call.

• My favorite game ever is Hello Charlotte, but a lot of those IFs I listed earlier are close seconds. Might as well sprikle in a couple of VNs while we're at it: Kurou Connect, Binary Star Hero, Cryptid Coffeehouse, Killer Chat, Obscura, To Eat a God, Touchstarved, The Kid at the Back and many more left unsaid. Because I have a terrible memory.

• I also love Webtoons/Webcomics/overall Comics. But mostly DC and Marvel.

• Uh, now, about books, I really like The Secret History and the Goldfinch by Donna Tratt. Dead Poets Society, Percy Jackson, Magnus Chase— the list goes on, really.

• And I love Musicals. Some of my favorites are EPIC the Musical, Hadestown, Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Be More Chill, Ride the Cyclone...

• Oh, and I love Infinity Train, Arcane, Erased...

I'm always open to meeting new people, but I'm usually really, like really awkward at first. I dunno why, I've never been a shy guy? But yeah, it takes a bit for me to get comfy. Anyhow. Enough ranting, I suppose. Haha.

I really like the designs you have for your POC characters. I know designing the braids takes a hell of a long time but it’s always good to see artists like you put so much dedication into our hairstyles!

Hello, sorry if this is a weird ask, feel free to ignore it, but

Ooooh fuck, I'm so glad I didn't find this like, a couple years ago (it wasn't available a couple years ago I think, but still) while I was still on the deep end of grieving my older sister, it still hurts from time to time now, but much less, and it feels strangely nice to explore those feelings on a controlled environment, I broke alongside that teapot honestly, the amount of things I hoard from her now is incredible

Anyways, I love this IF, the character dynamics and the story, and I appreciate the detail of being able to choose if you're trans or cis. Personally the with MC I've been going with now, if anyone so much as raises her voice at her it's a gamble on whether she'll have a mental breakdown or claw someone's eyes out, or both, and I love her for it

I’m so sorry to hear about your sister—losing someone so close is so so difficult but I’m honored that you’ve been able to find a safe space in this story to explore some of those feelings now. I think that is a really lovely part of fiction as a whole—that you can use it to explore difficult feelings and scary situations in a controlled environment, and if this IF has helped you in any way with your own past hardships then I’m really truly glad. 🥹 Thank you so much for sharing that. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the story! As a trans author I always appreciate having trans options in IFs as well :) and you’ll be able to further clarify MCs identity in a conversation in chapter 2. And I’m just imagining your mc always rolling a critical fail on a performance check to maintain her composure every time someone argues with her and flipping a coin between full-on uncontrollable river of tears or unfathomable violence (or both)—absolutely love that for her ❤️👍

Uhhhh, I just realized this, I don't know why I didn't connect the dots before (maybe it was because I didn't want to lol) but our dear brothers and sister died one after the other, didn't they? Like in a very short time, one right after the other and from what I see they did go from oldest to youngest and now Nour too faces death... UHOH

I have theories, but this is not about that (not really) it's about how my heart is breaking into two for how fast things went.

Yeah—they went down like dominoes 😔😭 which I’m pretty sure if I remember right MC mentions feeling almost disappointed when they didn’t topple too. It was the anticipation that it was inevitable after their oldest siblings all were felled one after the other 💔 and it seemed almost unfair that they should not topple too, that the chain would end before it reached them (not that they wanted Nour or them to meet that same fate as well obviously, but you know—survivor’s guilt ;-;).

Public Demo Update! 🎉 Chapter 1 Part 3

I would HIGHLY recommend you start on a new save as I have had to make some changes to variables and stats which will be detailed below, but starting from an existing save may break some things later in the game for you and you won't unlock the codex or stat pages if you don't.

In this update, you will:

Meet Lady Safina (Parim and Aurora's mother) and talk to Aurynn

Meet Lady Najaat (Nour's mother) and speak with your own mother

Play a flashback scene involving you, your mother, and Luca from your childhood

Speak with Samira

Get your food and bed stolen by your greedy little hog of a serval, Farwah

Meet the rest of MC's siblings (Aurora, Castor, and Ember) and Something or Someone Else™️ in a dream sequence

Speak with Luca in a dream

Use your divination to have a vision

MC's personality is now divided between two types of stats: your main stat (charismatic, gentle, confrontational, dignified, imposing) and your secondary stat (manipulative, aloof, sincere)

Added custom pronouns to Character Creator

Added cis/trans option to Character Creator (originally, this was going to be a choice introduced in chapter 2, but upon further thought I felt it would be easier to establish cis/trans early on and then in chapter 2 there will still be a scene that reflects on and clarifies mc's gender identity)

Kieran: You don’t need an excuse if you’d like to kiss them, but very well, they’ll indulge mc. And—admittedly—they find they do quite like the sight of mcs smeared lipstick and of every brush of mcs lips tattooed on Kieran’s skin in the form of kiss marks; it feels kind of like mc signing their name to signify ownership—like you are mine, I am yours—not in an ‘I own you’ sort of way but in a ‘I belong with you’ way. Might find themself growing uncharacteristically impatient and wanting more.

Nihm: Happy and eager to help! :) Except the whole testing it through kissing must have went over their head bc they thought mc just wanted to put it on them or get their opinion, so when mc kisses them their whole soul leaves their body. Poor thing just got totally blindsided. 😳😳😳 How are they supposed to sit still for the rest of this now…?

Lilith/Lucien: Very hot 🫡🫡🫡 Whatever you want babe you got it 👍 Plus it’s another excuse to stare openly and longingly at mc again which is one of their favorite things to do. But mc might have to tighten the leash so to speak when they start getting impatient and wanting more. Basically these two:

Samira: Clearly mc just wants to make out but if she’s in the mood to toy with them she takes a very clinical approach to their query (like failing to see how that would help best and testing it X way would be much more effective etc) just to watch mc struggle to get their point across when their first attempt at flirting seemed to go straight over Sams head. Eventually she takes pity and can’t hide her amusement anymore (either way if mc relents or gets more flustered it’s a win win) and allows mc to use her as their little Guinea pig—it’s only fair considering she’s used mc as her own Guinea pig for tonics before

Aurynn: Sure sure but we should be very thorough (if he’s not covered in lipstick smears/kiss marks by the end of it then what even was the point) and someone better be sitting in the other’s lap. And after MCs had their fun it’s his turn—now sit down.👇Also doesn’t bother to clean up before leaving and very shamelessly returns to his room looking all mussed up. He likes wearing the evidence.

Kieran: Takes silent note of it but makes no comment. You’d probably think they didn’t even notice it at all until one day they use it very knowingly and very intentionally on mc—either as a very genuine reward/sincerely-meant praise or as a teasing punishment. Either way, that sort of semi-playful behavior is something they’d only use that on an mc they were much closer with so it’d be a sign they were opening up.

Nihm: Probably wouldn’t realize that was a turn on for mc unless they explicitly told them. They’d just think ‘oh mc seems to like it when I praise them! Lilith/Lucien likes being called a good girl/boy too. I’ll do it more since it makes them happy. I love my friends! :3’ So they unintentionally end up abusing the hell out of MCs praise kink.

Lilith/Lucien: Also has a praise kink. 👍 (also a bit of a shame kink—gotta cover your bases; no matter if someone’s mean or nice to them that person can never take satisfaction in it bc it’s always a turn on! bc fuck you that’s why! Cover your bases 👍) So hell yeah 😏 now they can play both sides. Competing pet play. Will also shamelessly use it in front of people if only to tease mc or if they’re jealous and want to make a point.

Samira: HA! Right into her arsenal for ways to get mc to comply when they’re being stubborn. Refusing to drink a yucky tonic? Don’t be a fucking baby—I mean she’ll call you a good boy/girl/pet etc if you behave and take your meds. She finds it a highly amusing method for reward and mental manipulation 👍 Being a bad patient? :( This is not good boy/girl/pet behavior…very disappointing….

Aurynn: Abusing it 👍 Ya done fucked up by making it obvious. Getting a little too comfortable bossing him around and forcing Sam’s tonics on him? Expect him to retaliate. Next time you’re having a Very Delicate discussion with a Very Important Noble, he’s abusing MCs turn ons. Good luck focusing now fucker 👍 :)

How would the ROs react if they had a nsfw dream about the MC? Probably crushing stage or maybe before they realise their feelings for the MC?

Kieran: Will die before ever admitting to it. Any tension that had begun to slowly ease between Kieran and mc is back in an instant and they are back to being stiff and curt around mc, probably to mc’s confusion. If mc presses them too hard about their shift in behavior, they’ll remember the dream all over again and get embarrassed and flush and probably coldly snap at mc or attempt to brusquely brush them off.

Nihm: It is now impossible to speak to or look at mc without guiltily and very vividly remembering every detail and becoming red-faced and embarrassed. Avoids mc at all costs and flees if they see mc coming. Stammers and gets evasive if cornered and questioned about it and is looking everywhere but at mc.

Lilith/Lucien: torn between ‘Hell yeah 😏’ and ‘Bad girl/boy! (spray bottle noises) You’re not supposed to be getting this involved. What happened to keeping some distance?’ Difficult to reign themself in as they’d feel bad brushing mc off so tries to act the same as always as if nothings changed, but if things get too serious they’re going to have to force themself to pull back even if it means rejecting/hurting MCs feelings.

Samira: Girl you cannot be having these sorts of feelings for the literal prince/ss/ps. Feels guilty, frustrated, and scared with herself and is going to attempt to repress her growing feelings and distract herself with extra work but ends up too lost in her own head to really focus and is overly aggressive in any delicate work and just ends up breaking things. MC probs assumes she’s angry about something. She doubles down on putting some distance between them, treating mc less as a friend and more as her patron prince/ss/ps in an attempt to convince herself she doesn’t have these traitorous feelings.

Aurynn: Probably wouldn’t really think much of it at first—wouldn’t be the first time he’s had one. But as he starts to develop serious feelings—which he’ll have a hard time recognizing—these kinds of dreams are going to become a Concern™️. Very bad. Stop that. Makes him confused and unsettled and he might start acting overly casual/friendly and attempt to redirect any attention MC might show him to someone/thing else like ‘oh isn’t Sam cute today?? Don’t you think so???’

If given the choice, would the RO's choose to keep their relationship with the MC a secret? :3 and as a sort of kinda follow up question, how would they react if they were walked in on? O.O (not doing anything NSFW or anything just kissing or something)

Not if they didn’t have to—but Kieran will tell mc they don’t care if mc wants to have any relationships outside of their engagement—it’s not like it’s uncommon considering marriages in-universe aren’t inherently romantic. All they ask is that—given the delicate nature of their betrothal—mc keep any other relationships discreet for now. They are of the mind that it would be prudent both for mc to not draw attention to themselves and not to feed into any court gossip/rumors or distract from the engagement; the two should appear to get along as a show of unity even if this is a farcical and forced union—but anything different would only make tensions worse both for mc personally and between their respective countries.

As for if they were walked in on:

Kieran: I mean they don’t really have to keep things discreet considering they’re engaged to mc, but they don’t like having an audience. Very begrudgingly steps back and goes back to ‘business-as-usual’ as if nothing happened, but if you know them well enough you’ll be able to recognize some small signs of annoyance at having been interrupted. >:/

Nihm: They would want to avoid getting entangled in a relationship with mc while they’re still engaged out of respect for mc and Kieran both, but if they were caught in a seemingly compromising moment, they’d be very embarrassed and would probably blurt out an explanation that absolutely does not help their case one bit. They would probably end up avoiding mc for a bit afterwards—mostly just bc they think it would be best so that they don’t make anything harder for mc and Kieran.

Lilith/Lucien: Depends on who walked in on them—if it’s someone who might make things difficult for MC and Kieran bc of this then they paste on one of their trademark kill-yourself-smiles and leave their unwanted visitor with a friendly pat on the shoulder and a black begonia pinned over their heart—most at court are familiar enough with L’s workings to recognize that’s a warning. :)

Samira: Absolutely does not want to be the reason things are any harder than they already are here for mc and so is definitely startled and guilt-ridden/ashamed at first. Hesitates only for a moment as if warring with herself over something before she follows after her unwanted visitor, assuring mc she’ll take care of it. Whatever she did or said to them seems to have done the trick—they’ve kept quiet. Sam is probably a bit more formal and cautious with mc for a while afterwards though.

Aurynn: Mostly views it as a pain in the ass :( bc now he’s gotta deal with whoever walked in before they blab and the mood is also probably ruined, but he’ll shoot his shot anyway; you—wait here, don’t go anywhere. He’ll be right back and don’t worry, he’s got ways of making sure they don’t run their mouth—whatever that’s supposed to mean. And then maybe we can pick back up where we left off, or is the mood just totally ruined now….?
