Techie and Starstruck is fun to me because of the contrast- like they're both perfectly valid Kirby characters, just on opposite ends of a spectrum, but also having a surprising amount in common? They're both so totally normal after all. :P

Starstruck is not at ALL like Techie's usual partners, but she's up for a challenge! Most likely they hang out at an arcade (her natural habitat) so Techie can show off a bit- if there's prizes she could even win something for Starstruck (and then of course offer to "show you even more fun stuff/more of my skills back at my place" ;D)

(Techie's dream walking ability also has interesting interaction potential! 👀)

i absolutely ADORE techie/starstruck!! one of the oc X oc Big Ones™️ to me, in my head.

they are so different- literally from completely different universes, not even parallel gameverse ones- and yet they do have a lot of common ground! i love the idea that techie could start off rather bold about it all, boasting and showing off, but still be kinda surprised at how well it works. starstruck is very easy to impress and very earnest about expressing her admiration!

i think they might run into some, uhhh, technical issues due to my headcanons for waddle dee biology, but surely nothing techie couldn't sort out! she's a professional, after all! 😎💖

Ooooh I’m having Porter thoughts. His masculinity is so performative, he knows how to play into it. He’s comfortable in it but he’s also comfortable not presenting typically masculine. He’s connected to his body and the feelings of it and he can notice a change in it the minute he wakes up and find a way to get back to his base level normal.

But he can’t comprehend his emotions to save his life. He knows rage, he gets anger, but he can go beyond that, he hasn’t stopped at anger in years. He feels and expresses love in the way he does everything else: physically.

Whether it’s through sex, fist fighting, screaming, squeezing the thing so hard until it pops, eating a gift, whatever. If it’s a physical, tangible, bodily expression of love it makes sense to him. But saying it? Hardest thing in the fucking world. Because it requires so much vulnerability and he doesn’t do anything vulnerably. It might fucking kill him.

He loves giving gifts though. He loves cooking. He loves saying “I love you,” in all the ways that don’t involve saying it. The person will understand, right? Jace will understand?

His Jace that is so in tune with his emotions, so vulnerable but in a way that’s so strong to him. He looks at Jace and sees strength in his smiles and soft touches and the kisses he leaves at the corner of his mouth. His Jace that doesn’t hesitate to say I love you for the first time.

Porter still kicks himself for not saying it back in a way that Jace would appreciate. He should’ve said it back, he just didn’t know how.

Wish he had some more variety in his animations. Most of the time, they’re pretty subtle. Only the slightest of movements. Very boring.

Albert - I am actively struggling to think of something…he’s just too silly!!!

I mean, the way he stubbornly kept self sabotaging his trial for the sake of his hypothesis is understandably annoying. But I kinda admire his dedication and I kinda like the trope of characters loving their creation to the point where they’ll sacrifice themselves for it. It says a lot about the character which i appreciate. It’s kinda sad actually.

And actually for both-

The fact they don’t keep in touch for 10 years is pretty upsetting :((( we don’t get reasons why but it’s not hard to assume of VERY plausible reasons why. It’s just a shame they consider each other close personal friends but didn’t write to each other.

But at the same time, it’s actually cute that they can still think deeply of each other after all that time

Ok so I keep freaking out about if I can actually do this dog thing, if I’m actually enough. I love this dog dearly but i’m so exhausted all the time and that’s made worse this weekend by being sick. and I know that love is not enough to give a dog what she needs to be happy and healthy.

however. look. my big concerns are not being able to give her the exercise and stimulation she needs and wanting to be able to just Chill and cuddle my spouse and cats in calmness. and like. she’s almost certainly a great pyrenees mix. Relatively (as in, relative to other dogs I like, aka shepherds), she doesn’t need that much exercise. A good run in the yard a few times a day should do her, especially once she’s not so much of a puppy. And that’s the thing too— she’s a puppy. She’s excitable and chewy and a Lot because she’s 12mos old and still growing up. that takes time. and the cats are unhappy and won’t come cuddle— because she’s been here four days! they’re still adjusting!

i really need to take a step back and calm down. four days is not long enough to throw in the towel on this. she’s a puppy and we’re all adjusting but there is room in our lives for her. we can do this. i just need to fucking chill for maybe like five minutes and understand that this is an adjustment for the humans too, and that’s okay. I just need to chill.

I’ve been having some of the worst stress I’ve had in years and it really doesn’t help that Ritz and kneesock up and decided to start acting weird. Ritz is at the vet now and had to stay overnight and kneesock has been in and out for a few weeks now and they can’t find ANYTHING wrong with him. I’m so scared and he won’t even come lay with me or paw at me like he normally does when I’m upset and I don’t know what to do…
