I wonder how many people really love and relate to Alisaie because they too were the girl who struggled to understand how folks around her could act like suffering and selfishness and hivemind behavior was normal and their softness was called a weakness and so they built up an abrasive exterior to force people to take them seriously and now they don't know how to be vulnerable without feeling embarrassed or cringe even though they still feel things so deeply it's almost suffocating...

"why do you feel the need to self sabotage like this, jason?"

There's no one in the world that makes you angrier than Jason Todd. For every step you take towards him, he takes two back. For every bridge you try to mend, he burns down three more.

But you keep coming back. Maybe you're a masochist. Maybe you're a self-righteous saint. Maybe you are all the insults he likes to throw at you. But really, under it all, you can't shake the knowledge that Jason Todd is good, even if he doesn't believe it.

It's why you're fighting with him right now. He was doing so well, doing better, and you were convinced that this time was it. That was, until the body of man was found in Gotham Harbor.

You didn't need to be a detective to know who did it. Not when you knew he was the main suspect of a case Jason was working.

You were blind in your fury, but how many times can you stand to watch him fall? "Why do you feel the need to self sabotage like this, Jason," you snap, nails digging into the bed of your palms.

His eyes narrow, his body tenses like he's poised to run, "You don't get it. None of you get it."

"You killed him in cold blood!"

"He was hurting people," he shouts, then hisses out a breath of air and lowers his voice, "He was hurting people. And no one was going to make him pay."

"You don't know that," You protest, throat tight and eyes sharp.

"I do," he says firmly, "He's gotten away with it four times already. He has half of Gotham's judges in his pocket, and he's bribed the jury before."

"That doesn't make it right," you bite back, "Where does it stop?"

He scoffs, crossing his arms, "It doesn't. That's what you– all of you– don't understand. This doesn't stop. And if you won't come around to that, then you should stop wasting your time here."

"You know I can't do that," You whisper, and it's true. You could never give up on Jason Todd.

He shrugs, and for all his attempts to seem unbothered, his clenched jaw gives away his true feelings, "There's nothing else for us to say."

He turns his back to you, seemingly done with the conversation, with everything, with you.

"Will I see you again," you ask. It's something you question him on every time, unable to truly ever let him go.

He scoffs at you, "I'm sure you'll find your way around here again."

It's not an answer. But half promises are all he ever seems to offer you. And they always keep you coming back, because Jason Todd is good. He has to be. You need him to be.

And if he isn't? Well, you're not sure what that would make either of you.

i ask because personally im demiromantic/demisexual and i'll think someone looks attractive but generally not feel any desire to date or sleep with them. im wondering if this is a common thing or if others think differently? please tell me your experience with this!

totally normal about the 'wedding?' response continuing to evolve even though it's only been 5 shows. at this point i'm convinced the grand plan behind tit is to convince dan via exposure therapy that he's allowed to want to get married
