Hey y'all, really need your help here. My girlfriend Sadie is in dire straights. Sadie had a stroke in July. It was pretty severe. The only positive here is that she is young(28 years old), and is pretty resilient. She lost major chunks of her communication skills. We are talking relearning the alphabet, not being able to write, and not understanding basic math here. She tried to come back to work, but wound up back in the hospital for a bit. She doesn't really communicate how much she is struggling, and doesn't want to admit(even to her self) just how messed up she is. It is really killing me to watch. After this last trip to the hospital, she is on doctors orders to take it easy for a while. They installed a heart monitor to see if they can figure out what is causing this, but they are pretty much at a loss at this point. Unfortunately, her bills haven't stopped. Her kids still need food(and the child support she gets is nominal, to say the least). Doctors visits and therapy require co-pays. It is stacking up quickly. Sadie's whole working life has either been working in restaurants as a server, or working as a car salesperson. Unfortunately, neither of those jobs are something she can do for now. She is totally without income, and we all know how impossible it is to get disability in any sort of reasonable time frame. She is a fighter. No doubt she will be back up and running in a couple months. I am helping out as much as possible myself, but I am falling short. Im selling everything I can to get her back on her feet, but I only have so much of value. I am even putting some of may suits and ties on Poshmark, but that will only go so far. Any of y'all who know Sadie know she is the first person to help other people, no matter where she is at. Tampa, FL — Crystle Galloway, a 30-year old mother who was a possible stroke victim, died after four paramedics refused to give her proper treatment. The victim’s mother believes the paramedics didn’t help them intentionally because they assumed that Crystle could not pay for the ambulance ride. The four paramedics have since been suspended for “gross neglect of duty.”Crystle, a mother of three, had shown symptoms of stroke just five days after giving birth to her baby. She later died, but the family believes that she could have been saved if only she was given the necessary treatments. According to reports, four medics who responded to a 911 call about an unconscious and drooling woman failed to even check her vital signs. They are also accused of falsifying records.
