Hair is a mess, sweating up a storm and swearing out loud. It was that kind of a training day!! I’m sure my ladies in class would agree. If looks could kill, I wouldn’t be posting this right now. 😜 - - First, I had to get in my own training from @street_parking My fatty coffee almost came up. In this video I was performing my last set and I was feeling those squats and burpees power cleans 😫It was intense so I tried staying or slightly increase my reps each round. Afterwards, I completed my #challengeforthemonth which are sumo squat pulses. I decided to make it a little challenging for myself and performed them on a bosu. What a game changer!!! Core, stability and legs were on fire. Worth giving them a shot. Today workout was perfect for both cardio and strength. Going for max reps on Kettlebell swings really made my forearms and grip burn. Added accessory work after spin and Kettlebell class. Adding light weight snatches to get that shoulder back and ready to do more of these. What is your go to motivation? I often get asked what drives me to exercise alone. Do you fine it challenging to go to the gym by yourself? Is it easier to have your gym buddy with you? I love to have a partner. It isn’t always the case for me at this point of my life. Right now, my plate is full with doing what I love and that is to train and motivate others. Along with that are the responsibilities of parenting has taken up a lot more this year. I am so so glad that @street_parking prescribe a workout that was simple, effective and short. I am sore from my toes, calves, hamstrings to my traps from this week programming. 😳 All very good and I couldn’t be more happy that I found them. It certainly gives me a break from programming and push myself with other @streetparkingmembers 🙌🏽 I did try to go as fast as my first round but honestly this right shoulder is hurting. Afterwards a great class @pulsefitwestwood in which I believe was just as challenging. “Living at this moment” This moment is thy moment where I want to work on me as exhausted as I am. It is the time to listen to my body and reflect. Today called for Back squats. I decided not to go too heavy because I’m not there yet to start putting the pressure of how much can I lift today. I wanted to perform. Exercise. Feel my core and muscles twine together as I squat with a heavy load on my back. This mama has a load on her back 24/7. So this can be doable. That load being lifted and back to the bottom is where I feel life does that. One day you feel great, accomplished even rewarded. The next day can be the reverse. Feeling overwhelmed, not feeling satisfied and just down. The load of bills to pay, kids never-ending demands, the errands you must run and sparing minutes to lay back and kick up your feet. But I took this bar literally as I will take on this life. Yesterday was a weird day for me. I wasn’t feeling well at all the entire day. I was so off and fatigue. I am feeling a little better but my energy level is still off. I did my bet with this mornings workout from @street_parking This was sick 🤮 Two things I hate doing the most. 1-thrusters 2- burpees I did the best I could do this morning and I’ll take it 💪🏼 Monday Workout: 100 thrusters at 55# At every minute perform an ascending number of burpees. Ex: minute 1 do 1 burpee then move to thrusters and at minute 2 do 2 burpees and so on.. I didn’t finish 100 thrusters 😞 I left off with 75 thrusters. Yuck! But I did it. We cannot train all our favorite moves all the time, you have to mix it up and get the body to perform even at its weakest skill. The more challenging it is the better your fitness level will be. • • On another note I added a third clip of our June challenge for everyone and anyone to do. You can add these to your training or as a warm up. Just do it!! **Sumo Squat Pulses** ohh! These will catch up so take 10 -20 sec breaks from the beginning. Take my word. Complete 10 sets of 15 sumo squat pulses. Make sure to arrange feet facing opposites end of the room before squatting. Keep chest up and squat down with slow pulses. This morning was tough to get myself going. I thought of quitting but I stopped myself and thought what is the one thing I didn’t do this week that won’t make me more sore then I already am?? 🤔 RUNNING! I used @street_parking Endurance WOD and used that program for today. Simple. To the point. Challenging my heavy legs to speed. Awesome!! 🙌🏽 That left me a little dizzy 😜but the running did losses my tight hamstrings from those deadlifts on Wednesday and hang squat cleans from yesterday. - - In the mean time I am missing my daughter who went off with her class to Washington DC for two days. It’s the first for me to let her go away somewhere far and without a family member. I can’t wait to see her tonight. And MORE DEADLIFTS... 😅 I’m pretty stoked that I was able to deadlift as heavy as I did without my weightlifting belt. Worked on a heavy 1 rep but leaving some energy in the tank for 3x3 at 80% of 1rep max heavy today. Worked up to 245# again without the need of my belt which is HUGE!!
