Style and celebration. Bright, red, celebration and some mystery. And it is very stylish showcase of some store. To enter such little store – it is already like to be at celebration. So, lots of red color. And I think maybe it is such smooth material if touch it. And also, it is a new year’s ball here. So, thats for sure, it is celebration, red color and something mysterious.
From below, there are huge red gifts. They are so big, that it is idea, as fast as you can to untie this bow and node. And to see what interesting it is inside. So, winter and grey days are ending. It is start to be a bright weather. And when it is such a little dark sky, and bright but dusk, such a bright showcase – it is double time amazing spectacle! Just wow!
Style and gifts. Style and red color. As a beautiful dress. Beautifully decorated showcase.
And even more – such color a dress, it was for miss Sarah Brightman for her album Symphony and tour and photo sessions for record. And somewhere even with such a big red bow and node. Different dresses it was.

Song Review: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack and the National Symphony Orchestra - “Shakedown Street” (Live, Oct. 9, 2022)
The National Symphony Orchestra got a couple of opportunities to shake it down-down via built-in interludes as they performed “Shakedown Street” with Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack.
Recorded Oct. 9, 2022, and recently released on pro-shot video amid another symphonic tour by the Dead man, this “Shakedown” runs 11-plus minutes allows the NSO to shine as the musicians somehow work themselves into one of the last Grateful Dead numbers one might expect to pop up in such a setting.
There’s no clash; Weir, the Bros, the ’Pack and the NSO work as a unit to present the song in a new light while keeping things familiar, though Weir’s guitar tone is brash.
Also familiar.
Grade card: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring the Wolfpack and the National Symphony Orchestra - “Shakedown Street” (Live - 10/9/22) - A-

NOIR CITY returns to Phoenixville’s historical Colonial Theatre, November 15-17. Join FNF prez Eddie Muller for a three-day extravaganza featuring 10 films with the theme “Darkness Has No Borders”. This year’s program is tailored to satisfy folks who love noir that’s full of the colorful vernacular slang so essential to American and British noir—as well as adventurous viewers intrigued by a familiar story–a crime committed for passion or profit—playing out in cultures with different values, mores, and styles.
The festival opens Friday night with a salute to pulp writer Cornell Woolrich, the new FNF-funded restoration of the 1952 Argentine film No abras nunca esa puerta (Never Open That Door) followed by the FNF preservation print of Si muero antes de despertar (If I Should Die Before I Wake – 1952 Argentina) - the last part of a Cornell Woolrich trilogy originally planned for Never Open that Door but released as a stand-alone feature. Hollywood’s big screen adaptation of Woolrich’s Street of Chance (1952) finishes the evening. UCLA Film & Television Archive performed the restoration and preservation.
The Saturday matinee screenings comprise two prison break films, Black Tuesday (1954) and Jacques Becker’s Le trou (The Hole). The evening screenings feature two existential classics, the U.K. production The Bridge (1957) and Japan’s Zero no shoten (1961). Sunday’s program begins with two heist films, John Huston’s The Asphalt Jungle (1944) and Symphonie pour un massacre (1963). The festival closes with two L. A. set noirs Murder by Contract (1958) and Italy’s Smog (1962).
Schedule, singe feature tickets ($20), and double feature tickets ($40) are available on the Colonial Theatre’s website.

History of Statehood Day in Tennessee
Statehood Day in Tennessee marks the state’s entry into the Union in 1796 as the 16th state. Its journey to statehood began earlier, in 1790, when Tennessee became the Southwest Territory.
Under Governor William Blount, the territory aimed to meet the population requirement of 60,000 free male residents to gain statehood.
By 1795, a census revealed that the Southwest Territory had met this requirement. Tennessee then petitioned Congress for statehood, a bold move inspired by its people’s resilience and desire for representation.
On June 1, 1796, Congress approved Tennessee’s petition, marking a significant milestone in the state’s history.
Statehood Day celebrates Tennessee’s rich history and the bold vision of its founders. Today, it reminds people of Tennessee’s contributions to American culture and politics, showcasing its vibrant heritage.

Farewell to a musical god and the best thing to ever happen to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. I vividly remember a summer, decades ago, at the age of ten, when I was lucky enough to be able to attend a BSO performance at Tanglewood, Mass. The concert was of course riveting, but the unforgettable part came near the end: it was announced that Maestro Ozawa had received "a very important phone call" just before the final number and had to leave the stage, passing the baton to the first chair. The final number was John Williams's "Superman" theme, and the performance went ahead. Just as it was about to shift into its final heroic movement, Ozawa returned in triumph, racing up the center aisle --and sporting a Superman t-shirt. Realizing we'd all been had, the audience burst into cheers as Ozawa resumed conducting for the song's crescendo. Phenomenal moment. Some weeks later I was (apparently) still high from the experience, when my fifth grade teacher assigned an in-class essay about A Person Who Impressed You --probably trying to get a better handle on her new class. I'm sure there was a flood of breathless essays about actors and historical figures and athletes --mine was unapologetically about Ozawa. Apparently it stood out. [grin]
Rest well, maestro. You broke all manner of records and a fair number of barriers, too. Thank you from this still-impressed ten year-old.
Enjoy this one-of-a-kind performance from the Sesame Street All-Animal Orchestra:
