On a different note from my usual vein, I forget sometimes how much of a badass Xie Lian is! He's honestly a lot colder and more practical than we give him credit for. His last two shits died along with his will to live. He will do what it takes to win, honorable or no. Like, I forget a lot that he ascended due to his martial talent you know? But then again, I think he expends a lot of effort trying to bury that aspect of himself as well. He loves swords, and yet we hardly ever see him use one, because he's sworn off killing with them.

"You must understand that the moment a sword is unsheathed, someone will be hurt. When force is released, something must receive it."

Hearing those words from him after the massacre reveal!? After he calmly states that if Lang Qianqiu fights him, Xie Lian will kill him?!! He is achingly aware of how easy it is to hurt people, particularly himself. We rarely see him attack people, he's always so considerate of the potential collateral damage. When Xie Lian accidentally grips Shi Qingxuan too hard as they're fleeing paradise manor, and it scares him?!!

Xie Lian is a lot more cold than we give him credit for, and it makes sense with how he gets along with Hua Cheng.

I’m thankful for the small victories in life.

Today’s victory is directly associated with the proximity (around the corner) that the Bohemian Biergarten is from Rebecca’s Apothecary.

There was just no way I could spend that much time in there. She was able to get her apothecary needs and some new shoes.

Meanwhile, I had another beer.

Per tutti gli iscritti online entro il 6 Ottobre verrà garantita la maglietta dell’evento. Sarà comunque possibile iscriversi fino al giorno dell’evento. Il pacco gara al costo di 20 € adulti e 15 € minori comprende: maglietta (sacca per i minorenni), gadgets, mappa blocchi e buono pasto.

one of my mom’s favorite memories is taking me and my brother to a nature center as kids for an event and there were people with big snakes and tarantulas and stuff, and there was a woman with sleeping baby possums hanging from her hair by their tails.... extremely positive experience

Developments in Eaves Wood and Lumb Bank

Feeling wobbly at the start of September, I rallied late afternoon for an afternoon walk to Eaves Wood. I all but climbed the Cuckoo Steps in one go while Phil, footsore from working, trailed behind. We paused frequently on the ridge to take in views over Mytholm and Stubbing Holme. The distant haze turned verdant trees a misty blue and almost obliterated the mill chimney opposite. Along the top…
