[ Input Received. Transmission Begins. ]

[ The camera clicks on, the video is immediately greeted with shaky footage. Two people moving quickly through a forest shrouded in darkness with the soft tapping of falling rain around them, twin panting from the pair, the camera occasionally catches glimpses of them as they run. The shaky footage only stops once they two slow, standing under a tree that gives way to an open field and a nearby Denny’s dark and closed in the night. Both catching their breath, though the person holding the phone noticeably more winded and wheezing. Each have a plastic bag with takeout containers in a hand. ]

J: “Fuck Axolotls and their weak ass limbs. That’s their only problem, making my bones weak.”

M: “Are you sure- fuck, are you sure you don’t have asthma or something?”  

J: “I don’t even know what that is! Axolotls have cartilage for bones and it’s affected my own limbs. I have bones, but I’m not exactly a hybrid of an animal known for being really good at running on dry land!”

M: “Maybe just get better bones, idiot.”

[ There’s a brief pause as the two attempt to get their breathing back to normal. It’s silent aside from the natural ambiance of the forest during rain. After a minute or two, Marvin breaks the silence. ]

M: “I cannot fucking believe we just stole all of this shit from a Longhorn Streakhouse, like- Holy shit we actually got away with that! I didn’t expect that to work at all, I thought we were gonna go to jail or something but we actually did it! Holy shit, there’s so much food here!”

[ Marvin laughs. It’s a little snicker at first, but it quickly snowballs from there. In a matter of seconds he’s full on cackling, head thrown back and his laughter-wrought face bathed in moonlight. He knits a hand in his rain soaked hair as fat droplets snake their way down his jaw. ] 

[ Jasprix is frozen, staring at him. Marvin's face glowing in the light of the moon, coming through a break in the rain clouds for a few moments, mouth open in surprise, expression turning to something softer. His normally slitted pupils are blown as wide as saucers. Jasprix’s tail curls up and waves within view of the camera recording, swaying side to side as he watches Marvin. When his companion eventually stops laughing and turns to look at him, Jasprix quickly avoids eye contact and looks at the forest floor. ]

M: “You got a weird look on your face, man. Not having buyers remorse, are you? I mean. Well. We didn’t buy anything so I guess it  wouldn’t be- Oh whatever, you get the idea.”

J: “The moon is weird and I can’t see in the dark, let's hurry before something smells our food and we have to fight a bear. Yep, come on, let’s go!” 

[ Jasprix starts walking quickly, pausing to look back at Marvin and pull his arm forward by the handcuff connection instead of forcing him to run or trip on his own feet trying to catch up. Marvin yelps in surprise but follows along beside him. ]

Shrimp cocktail $7 apiece @ Dominick's Streakhouse in Scottsdale Quarter. This place is the bomb...don't get me wrong its not the Peter Lugers but here in the Valley it's as good as it gets. $7 apiece sounds steep but not if you consider each shrimp weighs about a quarter pound.
