Reminder: Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War will air soon.
People who are crying “shipper shipper everywhere not a single fandom to be.”
Be prepared for the nastiest ship-war ahead. The IchiRuki and IchiHime zombies gonna crawl out from their graves.
And Ichigo deserves no-one!

marchil: your favourite trope is enemies to lovers, your love language is banter, and you're the kind of person who says 'i can fix him' far too often
kabumisu: your ship could burn down the world and violate the geneva convention and you would still call both of them babygirl, also you like angst

Since I'm back in my teen wolf obsession after the movie I'm just gonna say it. The vitriolic hatred for both Scott McCall and Tyler Posey was just fucking racism. There was literally no reason to hate them so much and every excuse I've seen people have for hating Scott is that he didn't center himself around Stiles (his white friend) more.
Scott McCall's only flaw was that he loved his friends too much and he was too trusting and forgiving of people.
I'm all for ship and let ship but Tyler is right about Sterek being weird. Stiles was a minor and Derek was at least 20-23 and as a former Sterek shipper who has seen the light. I don't blame Tyler. Y'all got hella annoying with that ship.
Sterek was never queerbait
Stiles and Derek did not like each other. They only tolerated each other because of Scott. Derek literally says he only came back to beacon hills for Scott. Y'all let Dylan and Tyler Hoechiln convince you otherwise.
Also people hating Scott is another case of white people having this weird issue with not being able to relate to a poc character because y'all literally take all of Scott's traits and give them to Stiles (because mostly I only see white people hating him and a few people of color)
The "iconic" baseball batt and red hoodie y'all love to give Stiles is literally what Scott was wearing in episode 1 of Season 1
EDIT: I'll also never forgive you FREAKS for bullying Tyler Posey after his mom died and said it was karma for saying sterek is weird. You people are fucking sick, disgusting pathetic excuses of a human being--no you're not human. You're literal scum for doing that.
Stiles and Dylan O'Brien were not the face of Teen Wolf. It is Tyler and Scott. Hell for example the sims 3 Supernatural. The werewolf on the cover looks like season 1 Scott.
I LOVE Stiles but those certain Stiles fans have put a sour taste in my mouth for the character.
Also the "Scott McCall is a bad friend" tag is so dumb cause Stiles and every other character on that show would laugh in your face if you tried to tell them that

Funniest (saddest) example of modern fandom racism is how a lot of ppl prefer to ship Lucy with the guy who torture, kidnapped and cut her finger off over the black guy she actually has romantic chemistry with and actually cares about her well-being. Not only that, bc if you do find Ghoul to be an interesting character and you like messy toxic relationships, you can ship him with Barb, y’know, his WIFE but she’s black too and is barely discussed I wonder why…

Now… Due to my birdflash fixation, I have completely struck out and decided to make this post to explain why I read/headcanon them as exes. I now realize that this is going to be a long, drawn out way of saying “I think they have explored each other’s bodies,” well, it’s a little bit more than that 😭. In my head, I always felt as though Wally and Dick’s relationship sometimes read to me as two people who felt greatly for each other in their youths then over time found other people and new purpose and continued to pull away from the other.
Sometimes they treat each other kind of like how I’d treat an ex boyfriend or girlfriend, especially in Flash/Nightwing years.
Now I think it’s important to talk about their roles as Robin and Kid Flash, they are characters created to be relatable, the whole sidekick schtick was about appealing to the younger audience. It was such an early era that it should be noted that Dick and Wally did not have anyone else. Unlike now, Dick has a plethora of Robins to have seperate and distinct relationships with, same thing with Wally, any insecurities and worries can make someone feel extremely lonely. They did not have anyone, anyone but each other.
The early years for Robin and Kid Flash must had been confusing for the both of them so they had to confide in each other. Around this time I feel like it could be easier to fall more into a queerplatonic relationship with someone, Dick could feel confused and lonely, as he does then seeks and finds in Wally, with emotions hitting a peak I could totally see them accidentally falling for the other and sharing a relationship that’s a little more than friends…
It’s a big contrast. Wally has shown this big obligation for helping Dick and being there for him. This has always been strange to me. His inclination to try and be that person for him, which to me can feel like someone clinging to a relationship they know is slipping away.
It’s important to note that as Nightwing, the people there for Dick was not Wally, by this time, Wally became the Flash, found family, found love and entered the JLA. He was moving on and so was Dick but they still feel this inclination to call each other “best friends” though all the evidence says otherwise. It feels like one is clinging to a broken friendship to me.
He’s always so concerned for Dick because he knows how often he represses his emotions.
It’s why in my head, I can totally see Dick and Wally in their Robin/Kid Flash eras, losing their way, getting confused and confiding in each other in let’s say: a romantic way and now as adults they don’t know how to deal with it.
I know Dick is just thinking here but like, they do this A LOT. Like what is the need for this constant tension in the air with these two? Why is it so awkward? Why does it feel like there is something they want to say but can’t bring themselves to say it?
It makes my mind want to fill in the blanks…
Here they are saying flatly that it feels like an obligation. This is the closest they’ve gotten to really talking about how their dynamic has changed. It’s very sweet. It’d also be due to outside factors, like DC not knowing what to do with these two and refusing to let these two acknowledge that they are not best friends anymore and their lives have changed greatly. The thing about Superhero comics is that there’s so much fighting that the characters never get a chance to sit and just talk so it’s more the writers constantly trying to cling on to what they remember the Robin/Kid Flash dynamic to be and making it seem like these characters are clinging to their relationship.
Thry gush about the progress they make a lot and Wally feels like… I don’t know, his pride may fill the void the graysons left behind? Like he’s kind of a subtle replacement. It helps with my idea that Dick could be greiving his parents then quickly subconsciously seek and confide in Wally. Their relationship just is distinctly different from all their other friends in a way I can never pin down or the writers refuse to acknowledge. How Dick is much closer to Donna and Roy but they both still are mindlessly attached to one another like there’s this secret third thing keeping them together.
Wally has fully moved on and found his soulmate. Dick found Kory and fell pathetically in love but now he has nothing again and in canon still does this “Oh my best best friend to ever was, Wally~” It feels very much like someone hasn’t gotten over their little break up… 🙄 Even now they still comfort and talk about each other with a little bit more love and affection then they might do their other friends for this same weird reason.
Although, there’s one Wally West panel that Birdflash shippers had taken out of context: the one where Wally says “I got married and he didn’t.”
It’s not saying that Wally wishes he got married to Dick, 😭 but even then that goes into the little foulder of evidence that proves I think Wally and Dick’s relationship is ex-coded because it’s literally a bunch of thought bubbles about how Wally is heartbroken that he has moved on with his life and his life with Dick and they are no longer as close as they once were at all. (I can’t fit the panel in this post so I can just hope you know what I’m talking about) <- but my point is: Birdflash as a ship could be so much better if we stopped ignoring Linda and started treating them as exes instead. It’s so much more interesting. This is what I mean when I say they are my favorite exes.

as much as i love monoma, and am SO happy to see him getting some of the spotlight he deserves, i am SO scared that hori is just going to make his character revolve around bakugo. one of my favorite things about monoma is how much he hates him, and picks on his flaws, BECAUSE HIS FLAWS NEED TO BE PICKED AT. I don't want bakugo dying for like 5 minutes to completely change monoma's veiw of him / give him a "newfound respect" for him because THATS BULLSHIT. I cannot stand hori trying to force respect or admiration of a quirk discriminator onto victims of quirk discrimination. if monoma KNEW how horrible bakugo used to be (and we know he already doesnt like him because hes a fucking asshole) he would literally despise him, because people like bakugo were the people who told monoma that he would NEVER be good enough.

i finally saw the gendrya married au where gendry cheats on arya with guess who fic, i can't believe that people are still doing this in 2024 (once again 10 years later i still blame you "no featherbed for me" fic) thankfully i didn't read it when i first saw it because follows show canon (and because people really put the most random people out of their arse to ship that girl/woman with) but gendry going for qitn!sansa when is established that he likes/loves arya is really something wretched that dumb and dumber would have written into the show (and that's all i have to say about the quality of this plot point)

oh I hate, hate, HATE how some mlw shippers act like they are targeted and oppressed; I hate hate HATE canon!izu///ocha because I genuinely believe it’s harmful for the characters (yes, it does reduce her to a love interest as her character would get fulfilled only by confessing and dating him, instead of accepting her feelings and guilt/mourning for not saving Himiko and still work into reach out to others; it reduces their whole story into “love this boy” and it’s disrespectful towards them as if she is a better girl, an actual good one that deserves to be dating the guy they both like; it would ignore the weirdness Ochako felt when she was liking him, and how the only times she was able to not feel something negative towards it was when she was admiring something heroic/cool he was doing; it literally sends the message of the story not being over unless girl and boy date, even if girl and boy never wanted to get closer to each other like that; it ignores Ochako’s heroism, it ignores her drive to be a better hero and how her storyline is about accepting her own negative emotions without isolating herself, to be able to rely on others like Izuku and Tsuyu; if this ends with them dating, it means her story was about accepting to learn that her heroic actions that involve him, like saving him, aren’t actually heroic, just romantic, and to accept that her greatest heroism is just her liking him; this was never about her needing to confess but about being envy of him and Himiko for showing their faces more than her, for feeling like she is so far behind and not wanting to bother others with her sadness. It would mean her story can’t end accepting her feelings and choosing to stay single/not dating him, it would mean Izuku’s story can’t end without getting a girl just because she likes him even tho we clearly see he doesn’t think about romance when he’s with her or tries to support her, there’s no togetherness about them but a common objective and goal to support others, and I think that’s way better than girl and boy get married; it would literally mean Ochako’s heroism is based on her love for him, not her having the heart of the hero too when the point is she is like him, helping everyone and putting everyone else over themselves).
