Since I'm back in my teen wolf obsession after the movie I'm just gonna say it. The vitriolic hatred for both Scott McCall and Tyler Posey was just fucking racism. There was literally no reason to hate them so much and every excuse I've seen people have for hating Scott is that he didn't center himself around Stiles (his white friend) more.
Scott McCall's only flaw was that he loved his friends too much and he was too trusting and forgiving of people.
I'm all for ship and let ship but Tyler is right about Sterek being weird. Stiles was a minor and Derek was at least 20-23 and as a former Sterek shipper who has seen the light. I don't blame Tyler. Y'all got hella annoying with that ship.
Sterek was never queerbait
Stiles and Derek did not like each other. They only tolerated each other because of Scott. Derek literally says he only came back to beacon hills for Scott. Y'all let Dylan and Tyler Hoechiln convince you otherwise.
Also people hating Scott is another case of white people having this weird issue with not being able to relate to a poc character because y'all literally take all of Scott's traits and give them to Stiles (because mostly I only see white people hating him and a few people of color)
The "iconic" baseball batt and red hoodie y'all love to give Stiles is literally what Scott was wearing in episode 1 of Season 1
EDIT: I'll also never forgive you FREAKS for bullying Tyler Posey after his mom died and said it was karma for saying sterek is weird. You people are fucking sick, disgusting pathetic excuses of a human being--no you're not human. You're literal scum for doing that.
Stiles and Dylan O'Brien were not the face of Teen Wolf. It is Tyler and Scott. Hell for example the sims 3 Supernatural. The werewolf on the cover looks like season 1 Scott.
I LOVE Stiles but those certain Stiles fans have put a sour taste in my mouth for the character.
Also the "Scott McCall is a bad friend" tag is so dumb cause Stiles and every other character on that show would laugh in your face if you tried to tell them that

So I was casually strolling through tiktok and I've stumbled upon a sterek edit which isn't a big deal. It happens sometimes, but for some reason I decided to look at the comment section and I saw this :
Apparently the only reason that sterek didn't happen is, because Tyler Posey was envious and somehow had enough influence to determine which relationship is going to be canon and what age the characters are going to be. Fuckind end me.

lmfao sis literally EVERYONE is mocking Posey for being desperate and unemployed and still begging for more Teen Wolf movies because he wants to keep playing geriatric wolf lol. And everyone is rightfully mocking/shitting on Posey and Jeff for their shitty excuse of a Teen Wolf revival and for treating Arden like garbage. The only relevant things about the TW Movie are Derek and Eli Hale. No one gives a shit about Scott, Posey or Jeff and you can die mad about it 🙃
Lmao, sis, who hurt you?😭 Imagine being so fired up because someone doesn’t like Meningitis Stilinski that you’re actually dragging Posey for rightfully being the MC of the franchise revolving around his character? Literally the only valid thing you said was that they did Arden dirty. Anyway, I give the movie 10/10 solely for being DOB/Meningitis-free💅🏽
#stiles fans really are deranged#imagine caring this much about a pasty ass white boy that stopped being funny after season two#Scott is what st!les stans want their fave to be#and that’s on period#pro Tyler Posey#let the man play the character as much as he wants and if you don’t like it then don’t watch🤷🏽♀️#and for someone who doesn’t want more movies you seem quite passionate about them🤔🤨#anti stiles#anti stiles stilinski#pro scott mccall#teen wolf#teen wolf the movie#arden cho#kira yukimura#stiles stilinski#anti Dylan O’Brien#just to be sure#anti sterek

Reminder that Sterek is a fictional ship, Derek never actually hurt Stiles, he was emotionally drained because of being groomed and losing nearly his entire family, Stiles risked his life several times to help or save Derek, and the movie itself fucking implied that Derek may have had feeling for Stiles.
So if you scream that Sterek is "p*dophilic" or "abusive" go touch fucking grass, it's not that fucking deep

That scene in season 3 where derek asks isaac to leave his place during a thunderstorm is SOO heartbreaking. Especially when derek throws that glass at isaac and he instinctively covers his whole face from getting hurt despite the fact tht he's a werewolf and he could catch it. Because its soo similar to the way his father treated him, and the type of abuse he thought he was free from after his father's death. Its even worse considering derek's witnessed the type of abuse at home, and assumes the role of a stand-in older brother/ guardian figure after his father's death. The 2 scenes parallel each other so perfectly when isaac runs to live with scott instead, just the way derek took him in after he was orphaned, though without realizing that derek had his own reasons for turning him. This time though, he runs to the one person who's cared for him consistently without ulterior motives. Scott was genuinely concerned for isaac's safety in the gay club scene in s2 ( something that surprised isaac too coz he wasn't used to it) and was against exploiting his emotional vulnerability from the beginning. Derek, however, admits in the beginning of s2 that it was about power and wanting to form his pack. He does eventually grow to care for his pack, though I believe he definitely needs to learn more of that.
I'm still in season 3, i really hope that derek apologizes in some way, or their relationship at least improves, though unfortunately i don't think that's likely to happen.

The Pack | Chapter Two
Characters: Dylan O’Brien, fem!reader
Pairing: Dylan O’Brien, Dylan x You
After Brody left I texted Alex, my best friend, filling her in on what happened. I can’t believe he was still pushing me for more.
Waiting for her text back I logged onto Instagram and saw a message from Tyler Posey himself. I was shocked and startled he found me from just my first name. We didn’t have any mutual friends that I knew of other than my dad.
I read the message: Hey, I met you on set today, I’m having a house party. Come through. Text me for the address.
I texted Alex the screenshot of his message and got nothing but an explosion of emojis. She was semi obsessed with Tyler Posey and Teen Wolf. I told her I’d get dressed and to pick me up in 20 minuets. A party sounded like the perfect way to forget Brody and probably the end of our friendship.
He was my best friend and we had crossed a line we couldn’t come back from.
I threw on some converse, jeans and a crop top with a cute bra peaking through. I pulled my hair out of the loose bun and made sure my mascara was perfect. I looked at myself in the mirror wondering if I was some kind of freak for not having sex yet before grabbing my clutch before heading outside.
Texting my dad so he wouldn’t worry I made sure to leave my location out. He wasn’t going to willingly let me party with a cast of actors my age.
Alex was beyond excited, “Is Tyler into you? Are you into him? Is he free game?”
I laughed knowing her obsession, “Alex, have him. He’s not my type. All serious, brooding, adventures. All yours.”
Alex laughed, “He isn’t the kind of guy to wait for sex either. He seems like a ladies man!”
We pulled up Tyler’s Hollywood house which was more modest than I thought. We rang the doorbell waiting outside when the oversized door flung open with Tyler holding a cold beer. “Come on in! Hey! Glad you could make it. Who’s your friend? I’m Tyler.”
Alex was a blonde bombshell so I wasn’t surprised he was checking her out. I introduced them to each other as we came inside and Tyler immediately showed us around.
“This is my place. Dyl and myself live here when we aren’t filming. Upstairs is off limits. Drinks are in the kitchen. The rest of the cast is here too.” He turned to Alex, “Can I make you a drink?”
He offered out his hand and she gladly followed, turning her head back at me in excitement. I followed along as the third wheel knowing beer was close by and I much needed one.
As I walked by the living room I noticed a giant fake Christmas tree and it was July. Close by the guy I bumped into was dancing with a beer in his hand. I figured he must have been part of the cast, he just looked MTV, yet I couldn’t help but smile at his happiness.
Tyler made both of our drinks with vodka, sliding it over to me and I slammed it back like I was a pro when really I wasn’t at all. I was a light weight on a mission to feel a buzz ASAP.
I let them flirt as I wondered around with another drink in my hand. I made my way past the people laughing and drinking down a hallway. They had art on the walls representing street art, tattoos and tribal work. I was surprised and inspired by the raw art.
Stumbling into a room that had the door cracked and wasn’t upstairs so that must of meant it wasn’t off limits. It was filled with awards, plaques and mile markers of their careers and lives. I saw a photo hanging of Tyler and the kid I ran into. He must be the room mate, Dylan.
I turned around and he was standing in the door way just watching me smiling. “Hey, you’re the girl I ran into. So what were you doing on set? Stalking Posey?”
My non-existent amusement was obvious, “So you live here too?”
He came inside the room and leaned against the desk, “I’m Dylan. You know Posey is talking to some blonde, right? You might wanna actually try flirting if you want his attention.”
I laughed knowing far too well he wasn’t my type, “Not interested in him. I have – had – it’s complicated and not really your business.”
He smirked, “You a fan of Teen Wolf?”
I walked out of the room down the hallway more, “Never seen it. Can you get me a refill? Thirsty.” He was trying very hard to gain any kind of information he could but it wasn’t working. He almost laughed, looked down and took my cup anyways.
He turned around reaching out, “Stay here. I’ll be back.” I was between another door way leaning against the frame as I nodded. “Use a heavier hand than your roommate.” I added as he walked away.
I was feeling buzzed and the drink he was getting me would be my 3rd. The room was empty, blank. I slide down the wall to sit on the floor when he came back with my empty cup and a bottle of Jack Daniels. “How’s this? I don’t know about you but I need a personal bartender tonight.”
I held up my cup silently as he poured and sat down too. I gave him a bone, “So Dylan, where’s your girlfriend or you a ladies man like your bestie?”
He signed and downed his drink, “Well we were in the middle of fucking and her phone went off-“ he paused unsure if he should say anymore. “It was whoever she’s been fucking behind my back.”
I felt awful for asking. “That’s never fun. Sorry dude.”
He leaned in pouring us more, “What’s complicated about your shit?”
Drinking my whole cup before going into it, “My best friend wanted to have sex and I didn’t. It’s complicated. We treated each other like a romantic relationship but it wasn’t.”
Dylan laughed, “So he was your friend with benefits?”
“Not exactly.” I stood up bored with the blank white walls, “You gonna give me the upstairs tour?” I was tipsy. I felt like I couldn’t stand straight up and he wasn’t any better as he got up.
“Hell yeah! Let’s go!” I followed him holding the bottle of whiskey as we snuck past the living room filled with the cast and their close friends. I didn’t see Alex in the crowd but the kitchen was out of view so I wasn’t worried. We went through a dark hallway past a bedroom with the door not closed all the way as Dylan peeked in and closed the door. He turned laughing, “Sorry. Ignore that.”
I only got a glimpse of the R-rated version of their own private party with a slender female riding someone I could only guess was Posey since the upstairs was off limits. Alex was the only blonde at the party I saw so I now knew where she went.
Dylan pushed open the door at the end of the hallway, “Welcome to my room.” I went inside immediately sitting on his bed taking my shoes off and as I took the room in I noticed the panties on the bed next to me. Looking down not moving I said, “Can you get rid of these? Kind of a bad juju.”
He noticed my vibe and lunged for the panties, “Shit! Sorry! Fuck.” He threw them away in his bathroom and sat down next to me offering me the bottle in which we beginning drinking out of now. His room was white, navy blue bedding, clean, some albums and what looked to be items from movie sets.
“You weren’t kidding about the almost sex…” I tried to fill the silence and that was the only thing I was thinking.
“Yeah, sorry. You want a pair of sweat pants? Get comfy.” I let my body lay back in some failed effort to feel less dizzy, “boxers sound better.”
He walked over to his draws and pulled out a black pair of boxer briefs and tossed them over to me. I stood up slowly as I unbuttoned my jeans and pushed them down my legs. Dylan didn’t take his eyes off me and I forgot how comfortable I was.
He coughed when my panties were revealed, “Um… I should leave the room… privacy.”
He didn’t attempted to move, stuttered and I simply laughed, “Why? It’s just panties… We’re adults, aren’t we?”
He changed the subject quickly, “You hungry? I’ve got the munchies. I’m gonna get us food. My laptop is there is you wanna put on something to watch.” I laughed as I pulled up his boxer briefs that felt like bike shorts but comfy.
He left the door open some as I decided to stand on his bed, I had a sudden urge to jump so I did. The alcohol was setting in and I wasn’t sober enough to watch a movie. I undid my bra under my shirt and tossed it to the floor with my jeans. I kept jumping til he returned with pizza bites, hot pockets and chips. He wasn’t kidding when he had the munchies.
He laughed and jumped up on the bed after setting the food down. I stopped suddenly and laid down, “Too much jumping. I have class early tomorrow. Save me, I don’t wanna go.”
He laid down too, “Well, you’ll be too hung over for classes.”
I had never felt this comfortable, not even with Brody. With the help of alcohol I sat up and removed my shirt, “Do you wanna kiss me?” His mouth opened without any words. He leaned in kissing me gently with his hands on the side of my face. He felt warm, soft.
The rest was a blur. I lost some memories but I still couldn’t find the will to regret it.
I felt more myself with Dylan than I had with Brody, my own father, my friends and Dylan got the one part of me I had been toting around like a prize.

Todo filme do Jhonny Depp eu assistiu.

It’s an awfully complicated plan for a profit-driven entity like MTV to gamble on when the proven formula has been to cast conventionally attractive white men. There are plenty of other white-privilege-driven explanations for the examples you cited, like benefiting from the optics of diverse casting despite a lack of interest in exploring it meaningfully on the show or making up excuses to overlook deeper story beats for minority characters that the writers are less interested in. 3/4
Oh, I am sure there are other explanations, but then there's this.
I think it's disingenuous to believe that audience response had zero impact on the behavior of the production or the network. The show did react to the overwhelming fandom engagement in Sterek, when it absolutely did not have to. I have three pieces of evidence for this that come directly to mind. I am sure I could find more, even if I exclude instances of really strange narrative choices in later seasons.
The Famous Ship Photoshoot, from above. While the Teen Wolf cast is notoriously affectionate with each other and prone to unscripted goofiness, I don't feel that I'm going too far to say this was staged. The powers that be planned this, and it is a direct reference to the Sterek phenomenon. This wasn't the only time they did this. Just like certain elements on the show, they wanted to harness the energy of the fandom by implying things that were never going to happen. Some audience members called it queerbaiting. I don't know if it was a mistake by the production caused by misunderstanding that Sterek was predicated on making white male characters the primary focus of the show or if they cynically noted it and didn't care, but they did encourage it.
The reaction to Poseygate. You must have heard of the outrage when Tyler Posey, the lead actor of the show, dismissed the fandom fixation on Sterek as something that didn't have anything to do with the show. What you may not have heard is that the official MTV social media sites responded with a flood of pro-Sterek memes. They didn't issue an official correction; they didn't deny what Posey said; they didn't instruct him to apologize. But they also didn't say he was wrong. For Hollywood? That's a very precise non-action.
The mistreatment of Arden Cho. For a show in this particular genre, Kira's relationship with the other characters, especially the lead protagonist, was incredibly significant. Yet, the elimination of her scenes in 5B, the nature of her dismissal from Season 6, and the situation in the movie all point to a production confident that the metaphorical equivalent of dropping Cho and her character off a cliff wouldn't be a critical mistake. I think that it's pretty safe to say that fandom disinterest in Kira, who was referred in such terms as "placeholder, rebound, useless" played right into that.
None of this behavior is fundamental proof, but added together, it shows a production empowered in their choices by seeing fandom dismissal of characters of color. When you add in all the narrative decisions that don't make any sense -- such as the argument in Season 6 that they need Theo for Josh's power because Kira couldn't handle a lightning bolt when we saw her blank out the entire city in Season 3B -- then you get the idea that racist fandom behavior had a significant impact on the show.

Re: your post about Scott McCall being POC, Tyler Posey is half Mexican and it has been stated in the past in interviews and stuff that Scott is also, as well as mentioning in the show that his mom's maiden name is Delgado (implying Hispanic heritage). So yes! He is POC, for whatever that is worth.
Thankyou anon! For the clarification.
I don't hate Scott but he's not one of my favs. It's definitely not because of his race. After learning that he's poc didn't change anything to me even though I myself am a poc. Scott is a great guy, it's just that he's not an interesting character and also the terrible writing with the contradictions of his actions to his own character choices unlike Derek Hale who has such a mysterious aura with a typical antihero personality when talking but in actual helps and struggles to keep everyone safe. It's just an example. Every character has their own pros and cons and for me Scott's cons are more than pros.

Bold words from someone who’s essentially frothing at the mouth and having a mental breakdown in my asks because some people don’t like Mayonnaise Stilinski. Aren’t you the one who’s been sending me like 4 asks essentially kissing DOB/Mayonnaise’s ass and talking smack about Posey? Projecting much?👀

what’s your favourite thing about Scott McCall? 👀
Probably how despite everything that he's experienced, everything that he's witnessed and been through, he's still painfully a teenager.
He definitely grows more serious as the years go by, but he also hangs onto some of his youth. In season 3 despite having to deal with becoming an alpha, 'losing his mind', and worrying about his friends, he helps Stiles rig Coach's classroom before Halloween. He still has to be hyped up by Stiles to go talk to Kira, his mom still fixes his clothes and gives him love advice and one of my personal favorites is in season 6.
At the very beginning of season 6, they are all seniors in high school and thinking about college or whatnot... Scott and Stiles decide to use his werewolf abilities to fight domestic crime. That's the most batshit teenage thing to do. You rarely see adults decide to become vigilantes, it's usually teenagers who think "Hey, I happen to have a lot of time on my hands and I have cool abilities, let's go break some laws!"
So yes, one of my favorite things about Scott is how he didn't let his youth slip away despite everything that happened to him and his friends. He fought to keep others from taking that from him and he succeeded.
#teen wolf#scott mccall#tyler posey#he's jsut a funny guy#I love him#pro scott mccall#i would protect him with my life#i still think its hilarious how he started using his abilities like spiderman
