do you steal your posts from other places? I’ve seen that no timeline for healing post on Facebook

I absolutely do not steal my posts. I’ve occasionally posted image quotes from pages I follow, but I always link back to the page.

The post you’re talking about was stolen from me. It got posted on twitter with the wrong credit like 4 years ago and it has spread. A lot. It shows up on my newsfeed on Facebook credited to the wrong person and it’s actually a source of frustration.

I accidentally deleted the original so I made a new one because I’m trying so hard to spread it with the right credit. But even if the original post no longer exists, it still shows the date and my blog name on it.

Also - to anyone that does this… it isn’t cool. It isn’t cool to take posts from tumblr and pass them off as your own on other social media just because it’s “Tumblr”.

This actually makes me feel like crying. I am still seeing this quote I wrote show up on my Facebook feed. And when I googled it, there are so many results crediting the wrong people.

Whoever originally got the quote would have probably got it from my tumblr so please when you take things people wrote, give them the credit. When I’ve tried to contact pages about it that post it, a lot of them say they tried looking it up but the credit goes to so many people they don’t know what to believe. And that honestly breaks my heart a bit. I put so much love into my posts on my blog and this really upsets me.

It really upsets me that I accidentally deleted the original post on this post, because it would have had the original date. But this is just my plea to people to please stop taking people’s words to share on twitter or other sites without at least crediting them.

It’s okay if you thought you were over it but it hits you all over again. 

It’s okay to fall apart even after you thought you had it under control. 

You are not weak. Healing is messy. And there is no timeline for healing.

This is one of my posts that you’ve stolen.

They hurt you. You will likely carry that for a long time. It wasn’t fair. You’re allowed to say that.

I get so tired of people who respond with “life’s not fair,” or “you’re letting them win by holding onto the past.”

Yes, it’s important to move on and not let it run your life, but it still wasn’t fair. And sometimes, we need to let that out.

Denying us that or making us feel bad about that is very invalidating. It’s okay to be angry, sad or whatever else and acknowledge the wrong that was done to you.
