Stoick headcannons

stoick hated dragons so much because they killed valka. before that, he was a respected dragon hunter but he wasn’t obsessed with it like he was in the first movie

stoick and toothless absolutely have a fake love-hate relationship. toothless will pretend to hate him and growl at him all the time and stoick will complain about toothless being in his house, but toothless and stoick give each other big hugs whenever they see each other after a long time apart and stoick always makes extra food for toothless while toothless brings back extra fish just for stoick

they treat each other like toothless is a stray that just never left: constantly ragging and being snarky with each other but they really do love each other

stoick is sort of a father figure for all the riders

he is their role model and chief, but he tends to treat the riders a bit like they’re his kids

while they all have their own parents and families, the riders tend to have big meals at hiccups house together with stoick every so often

this tradition continues even when stoick passes but it’s never the same

when they meet valka, the riders are pretty frosty to her for a long time

while they understand wanting to save dragons, they were first hand witnesses to hiccup’s loneliness and fights with his father and they hate that she abandoned her kid and husband

they eventually sort it out and become civil but they never get as close to her as they were with stoick

stoick was very socially competent and was very skilled at figuring out when people were trying to manipulate him, which was why he had so many enemies but remained one of the most powerful chiefs in the archipelago

while stoick scolded hiccup a lot for the trouble he got into, he was very protective of hiccup to other people. he’s well known outside of berk for getting into fights with people who disrespected hiccup in front of him. this was strange to the other vikings because while it is normal behavior to defend your sons honor, they would never have done so for a runt that was supposed to die soon after birth

if stoick had survived after drago was defeated, i think stoick would have had a long talk with valka about how she abandoned them. as much as he loves her, he’s still upset that she wasn’t there to help raise hiccup and that is was her choice to be absent

i think while stoick has a hard time talking about her, he gives pieces of valka to hiccup whenever he can (the dragon plushie, the breastplate helmet, etc.)

in turn, after stoick dies hiccup spends a long time working through his grief by telling valka stories of him being his dad instead of being chief

hiccup also likes to sit at stoicks statue and just talk for hours. when he doesn’t feel like talking, he sits in silence while doing some work or eating. it’s almost like having him there still.

stoick gives the best hugs ever

stoick really loved hiccup. while he hated all the trouble he got into, he admired his intellect, leadership ability, and willingness to follow his own heart. after the red death’s death, he is immensely proud and brags about hiccup to everyone.

he really struggled with being a single father while mourning his wife and trying to lead a village. this was the time period when gobber and stoick became the closest, because stoick relied on gobber so much as a friend and support system.

hiccup sees gobber as a crazy uncle/close friend, not as a father figure. however, he will go to gobber whenever he and his dad are having a fight.

stoick also really loved astrid. he often gave her big hugs and was adamant that she only refer to him as stoick or dad when they were at home instead of chief, because she was his future daughter-in-law.

while he loved all the riders for becoming hiccups friends, he was ecstatic when he heard about hiccup and astrid getting together. he was very excited for grandkids.

stoick was very busy as chief and while he always made time for hiccup, he wasn’t aware of the bullying and negligence that hiccup endured from the rest of the village. this was why he never thought it was a big deal to scold him in front of people.

I'm rewatching httyd 1 right now, and something stood out to me. In the arena scene, Stoick starts panicking once it shows that Hiccup isn't fighting Hookfang, but (from an outside pov) controlling it. Do you think he started seeing Drago Bludvist at that moment? That Stoick was concerned Drago somehow got to Hiccup? Or the possibility of Hiccup becoming Drago 2.0 and wanting to shut that down quick?

Hiccup x fem reader headcannons

You and hiccup grew up together, you weren't always too close to him but you both got closer

You were in dragon training with him meaning you spent time together "defeating" dragons

After about the time the village became aware of toothless you were a bit worried about hiccup, especially after loosing his foot

But to say you were even more surprised that hiccup let toothless go, was an understatement

And then after some time toothless returned.. but he wasn't alone, he had this beautiful blue and black night fury right by his side

When it came down to you and your night fury she hated you at first barely letting you within 5 feet of her

It took years to earn her trust and get to a good trust point, thankfully hiccup and toothless helped

The fact that you both had night fury's made you and hiccup grow even closer

You both couldn't get any closer, both attached at the hip

And when he left to search outside of the archipelago you were the first one he asked

And you were the first who decided that if hiccup was leaving the village to make his own place you would join him

After getting dagger on your side and having to go through Viggo you literally wouldn't leave eachother alone

It started simple, moving into the same hut so toothless and your dragon could have company

And then it moved to inventing new things

Or even both of you just going for flights in the early morning just to hang out

Everyone at the edge figured you and Hiccup liked each other about the time he started fiddling with his necklace and talking to himself

And your give away was talking to toothless any chance you could get just needing someone to talk about the beautiful boy named hiccup

And after stoick's death.. you refused to leave eachothers side, meaning if hiccup went, you went and if you went, hiccup went

About the time hiccup finally proposed it was just you two.. no Dragons just the chief and chieftess of berk

You ended up having three kids together and even went and saw toothless and your dragon often

Toothless and your dragon didn't mate

Toothless got the lightfury

And your dragon ended up with one of the male light furys

And you wouldn't change a single thing

As a resident of the cold region of my country, it just freezes me out that none of the characters wear warm clothes when it's cold. Although, according to Hiccup and shown in the tv series and the short film, they live in a very cold climate. But no one even thinks to put on a winter hat!

They have a freaking winter there, but they all wear their usual clothes. But they must catch all possible frostbite and colds!!! And Hiccup, the twins and Astrid should be shivering from the cold because of their thin physique (I'm telling you this as a thin one).

And it seems like in some official comic book their warm clothes were shown, here's Hiccup as an example, but damn, even this doesn't look like very suitable clothes for winter. So I decided to give the riders (well, their fifteen-year-old versions) winter clothes, since their parents can't. The designs are filled purely with my vision and headcannons.

In short, I think Hiccup would have dressed the warmest of the gang. Well, Stoick would have forced him to dress very warmly, believing that his weak and skinny son could easily freeze to death or the wind could easily knock him down.

Issues Headcannons Pt. 1

Hiccup

explosions: nearly dying with the red death.

water: when he nearly died in the ocean inside gobber’s old smelting cauldron

fire he isn’t in control of: red death

not being good enough: stoick being disappointed, not saving everyone with his plans

drugged: when him and toothless where drugged to take them to the dragon fights

storms: being struck by lightning and almost losing people in storms

fitting in: not being good enough like in the first movie similar to expectations

Astrid

dark/seeing: being blind and not having that to control would freak her out

boat patrols alone: after having the scurge and seeing the bodies

sick: almost dying from the scurge

water: almost drowning after a flight gone wrong

storms: the same as the one above but because she was trapped in a storm too

abandonment: when stormfly was thought to be dying and just people she love’s dying

trust issues: too many betrayals and she already didn’t let people in very often

Okay so the httyd thing. I've been so excited to share this idea w/ you you have no idea.

So what I've been thinking, is Hiccup seemed to recover wayyyyyyyyy too fast for someone who's been neglected and ostracized from his entire community most of if not all his life. Like when Stoick comes home from looking for the nest in the first movie, and the villagers are saying things like "congratulations" or "out with the old in with the new" and "good riddance if you ask me" and they're "throwing a party to celebrate" Stoick assumes Hiccup is dead and that Berk is celebrating. Berk hated him that much. So what I'm thinking is, Hiccup has made inventions and stuff, he's been trying to do something that will prove he's one of them, a real Viking, trying to make them like him, and none of it worked. The only thing that made them realize he was worth anything was when he started being himself, but what if Hiccup doesn't see it quite that way. What if he thinks that if they can change their minds that quick to like him, then they might change their minds again if he doesn't stay useful. What if no one apologized to him for how they treated him? Because I don't think anyone did. What if his self esteem is still 6 feet lower than the ground and he's walking around waiting for the other shoe to drop. In Gift of the Night Fury we see he feels guilty for Toothless needing him to fly, and so he makes him a new tail that doesn't need a rider. Toothless doesn't want it, but that's not the point. What if Hiccup gives people the option to leave him, because he still thinks its possible that they will. It probably wouldn't be super obvious if he did, but what if he makes them all (Astrid, Tuff and Ruffnut, Fishlegs, Snotlout, maybe even Gobber and Stoick) inventions and things that make it so they don't have to rely on him so much? Leaning a little into Race to the Edge, what if he gives Fishlegs some books he's always borrowing, just as an example. What if they all think he's just being nice, and he's actually trying to make sure they don't need to have him around? This is probably a bit of a stretch, but it's all to say that Hiccup deserved better, and I want the gang to see that and help this boy dig his very very low self esteem out of the hole they buried it in. (Also I like to think that hiccup did this with Gobber when he was younger, because Gobber being the only one who didn't hate him is my emotional support headcannon)

TLDR: What if the gang realized that Hiccup has no self worth and thinks that if everyone could suddenly like him then they could still suddenly hate him?

This might be out of character, but I think all of Berk hating his guts and calling him a screw-up probably did some nasty damage to Hiccup's self esteem, and I want to see that realized and dealt with, because being hated and then suddenly loved might have been a dream come true, but it also probably made him scared it was a dream, and that he will eventually have to wake up.

(Finally getting around to responding to this - sorry it took awhile, I've had my mind on other things and I really didn't want to give a half-brained response when you put so much work into this.)

Ahhhhh, "social outcast genius equating his self-worth to his usefulness in the eyes of others" trope, my beloved.

I will say, my perception of his relationship with the people of Berk was always a bit more on the "he's a nuisance, but he's still family" side of things than out-right hatred. Like the equivalent of a small-town's troubled youth, they don't like him, but he grew up there and he's the village leader's son, so they still have some sense of ownership of him prior to his making them change their minds. If that makes any sense? ...they're Vikings, though, so it's hard to tell the difference sometimes, lol. But, in fairness - it's been awhile since I've watched the first movie, so I'll concede to the freshest memory here. Anyway, that's beside the point-

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this! Hiccup was definitely owed a town apology, at the very least. I understand why they didn't go into that in the movie - limited time, plus the the Stoic-Hiccup relationship was really the core of the conflict, so they opted to focus on that instead - but I agree it would have been nice to see some closure regarding the people of Berk's attitude and treatment towards him. Or some recognition for how it might have affected him after the first movie's conclusion. Because you're absolutely right, that kind of emotional whiplash can be damaging - especially on a teenager who already has considerably low self-esteem.

This does feel pretty in-character for Hiccup, in my opinion, considering the doubts he has in himself as a leader. He neither wanted nor felt right for that job, even when everybody else was sure of his qualifications. So it'd be easy to see him projecting his own doubts in himself on others and assuming they might see things the same way as him. That's the kind of thing that eventually fades as it's repeatedly proven untrue, but it takes time for that reassurance to grow, and the doubts would definitely be pretty prominent at the start. And him wanting to do what's best for everyone else, having the sense of love and responsibility for his community that he has, it makes sense he wouldn't try to hold on too tightly and would instead provide ample opportunity for people to leave if/when they wanted to. (Just like he did with Toothless.)

I think if anybody was gonna pull him out of that, or help him pull himself out of that, it would be Astrid. She'd immediately know something's up - she's always the one to ground him when he's too inside his own head to see things clearly. And unlike his confidence in himself, her confidence in him has never once wavered, she knows he's more capable than he thinks. Astrid also has a much healthier relationship with the rest of Berk, so if anybody can provide some reassurance on the public opinion front, it would be her.

All that to say - I like this idea! Very well thought-out and well-considered, imo. I'm not quite as well-versed on the HTTYD world as some people - while I adore the movies, I never quite reached fixation levels of interest in the franchise, for whatever reason - so I can't add too much to this. But I like it and I appreciate you sharing your concept with me! Thanks! :>

The very act of Hiccup's apprenticeship with Gobber shows that Stoick had all but given up on making Hiccup chief material. He was still gonna make him a Viking cause that’s waht Stoick thought was best for Hiccup, but not the next chief.

Think about it, how often in history are future leaders apprenticed to any one profession other than leading lessons? Never. Sure, they can sample all the jobs in their community but never long-term and it's only in service of being a better leader when the time comes. Usually they are trained as knights, warriors in Berk's case, but that's already happening to Hiccup.

Hiccup being an apprentice blacksmith by it's very nature means that Hiccup was not expected to be next in line. And him starting when he was little. Well, little-r, shows that it was an early discion meaning that Hiccup has had a lot of time to internalize that,

Headcannon that Hiccup wears long sleeves and a fur vest all of the time, and Stoick is so protective of him because, even though Hiccup is good at not catching contagious illnesses (Like Eel pox), he is smaller built and was born premature (You came early into this world-Valka) so he has a hard time keeping warm on Berk unlike everyone else who wears short sleeves, and when it comes to flues or illnesses caused by nature and weather (Hypothermia, Colds, Allergies) Hiccup has a weak immune system.

Age regression How To Train Your Dragon headcannons!

(These are the book versions as I dislike everything about the movies except for the soundtrack. Also this is kinda an AU where Snotlout survived the war.)

(Slight angst warning, all SFW, no k!nk interactions. I am taking requests for any HTTYD regression content!)

• Hiccup and Snotlout are both flips, they take care of each other sometimes, and like to regress together.

• Snotlout regresses to an older age range then Hiccup, about 5-11, and Hiccup regresses to about 4-9. They regress because of the trauma of the war and their unpleasant childhoods.

• Snotlout is a big brother type caregiver, he likes taking care of hiccup to make up for the bad things he did in their childhood. He calls him lad and buddy, takes him flying on dragon-back, and ruffles his hair a lot. He also lets him draw new tattoos on him with a pen and ink.

•He’s kinda an vent regressor, he has a lot of issues around being seen as soft or weak and being vulnerable around people. He’s working through it though. He didn’t have a lot of toys or affection when he was a little boy and he was forced to grow up really quickly. He wasn’t allowed to play with any “girly” toys/games like dolls or tea party and now he has trouble expressing himself that way. He also gets a lot of nightmares about the war.

• His favourite toys are wooden blocks, a handmade dragon plush, wooden swords and a rag doll. He’s a tough little guy, he likes to play in the mud and dragon-watch with Hiccup. He has some issues around crying when he gets hurt but sometimes he just can’t help it.

• When Hiccup is little he goes pretty quite, almost non-verbal. He likes to read books about dragons and birds, and collect seashells and dragon scales. He really loves piggy back rides from his dad and Snotlout.

•Both Hiccup and Snotlout use ye-old-pacis carved from wood, and they both chew on their knuckles when regressed. When they are regressed together they get into a lot of trouble. Some antics they’ve got up to include: Eleven year old Snotlout getting a four year old Hiccup to steal cookies from the great hall and then eating them together underneath a table. Putting a fresh lobster in Stoick’s bed. Stealing Baggybums underwear and flying it from the village flagpole. Stealing the lost things and hiding them in very inconvenient places. They commit a lot of theft.

• Hiccup calls Snotlout lots of sweet nicknames, such as little dragon, star, little hero, ect. When Snotlout is in an older headspace he will firmly state that he is a big boy and doesn’t need sweet nicknames but when he’s younger he absolutely adores them. (He loves them when he���s older too, don’t tell anyone.)

•Stoick and Valhallarama are really supportive of their regression, as are Fishlegs and Camicazi. Fishlegs loves babysitting them, and is a great storyteller. Camicazi loves using them as accomplices in her various burglaries. Baggybum tries to be supportive but he has hang-ups about being soft with his son. The dragons love the little ones and like blowing smoke rings and doing tricks in the air to impress them.

Hiccup x Reader Headcannon (HTTYD)

I've been obsessed with httyd since I was 15 and seven years later I am still daydreaming about it. Here is one of those dreams:

• reader is Gobber's daughter and Hiccup and reader grow up together as friends

• they grow distant and get awkward around each other when they get older

• when they are about 15, Stoick and Gobber get them to start hanging out again and they slowly rebuild their friendship

• they are older now and things feel a little different though (feelings start to blossom)

• at the same time, reader finds a baby dragon in the woods and starts to realize dragons are good but must hide this secret

• a dragon raid hits the village and reader can't bring herself to fight them and almost dies except for being rescued by Hiccup

• their dads announce that they have arranged for reader and Hiccup to get married despite refusal from both kids

• reader decides to run away with her dragon and leaves a heartbroken Hiccup behind

• everyone thinks a dragon killed reader and Hiccup is so angry he tries to kill one

• he shoots down a night fury, realizes dragons are good, kills the red death, and saves Berk

• he realizes reader probably isn't dead and spends the next five years searching for her

• reader meets a group of dragon riders that fight to free dragons and joins

• the group learns that Berk is at peace with dragons and go to visit to make an alliance

• reader doesn't want to go but is coerced into going, so decides to keep her identity secret by wearing a helmet

• she is shocked at how different Berk is and how Hiccup has grown up

• she tries to avoid Hiccup but fails since they naturally gravitate towards each other

• he gets a little suspicious as he gets to know her more and she can't help but give away small clues

• he finds out eventually and they have a heartfelt reunion

I have so much of it planned out but actually writing it is hard. One day I'll make it a fanfiction. I am way too obsessed with this man.

How to Train Your Dragon:

Outsiders (link) - Main HTTYD AU. Instead of watching the entire Berk fleet sail off to their dooms with Toothless, Hiccup and Astrid free the arena dragons and take Toothless while he’s being brought to the ship and then they all get the heck out of dodge. Dagur accidentally set himself adrift with Heather back when they were both small. Snotlout learns the hard way that being the Heir/responsibility kind of really sucks actually??? Stoick has to deal with his son going rouge. And Gobber and the Berk Teenagers have to deal with Stoick and Snotlout respectively.

Modern Riders/Time Travel AU - Modern!Hiccup is dragged by his cousin into an unwanted camping trip with the other riders and one electrical storm later, they find their cell phones aren’t working any more. Also are those flipping dragons?! On Berk, Stoick and the other vikings are shocked to find a group of teenagers in the woods who bear a shocking resemblance to some of the members of a dead generation of children.

Unsevered Bonds - Modern Riders (minus Hiccup) meet a time displaced Hiccup who recognize them as his reincarnated friends, even if they don’t remember their former lives.

How To Train Your Lusus - Everyone are trolls on Alternia. Hiccup is a brownblood who’s probably the only troll in existence to get a second Lusus (Toothless) after his first one (Stoick) is killed. Astrid is an oliveblood that Hiccup is flushed for, Fishlegs is a yellowblood, Snotlout is a blueblood, the Twins, Dagur, and Heather are all purplebloods. Dagur killed both his and Heather’s lusus so now he’s trying to take care of her even though she absolutely hates him (and not in a black way), and he had an unrequited pitch thing for Hiccup at one point before they flipped pale (and are actually Moirails now). That’s pretty much all I have for this one.

unnamed Harry Potter AU - Does not actually take place at Hogwarts. Everyone attends Dumstrang (possibly) and the topic everyone avoids is Care of Magical Creatures, because the local Dark Lord is Drago Bludvist. Main trio is Hiccup, Snotlout (Pureblood cousins), and Fishlegs (Muggleborn)… somehow.

Dragon Gang (link) - Mob/Mafia AU set in the vaguely 1920s in a Fake Country so no one can call me out on inaccurate geography.

Rebuilding Bridges - Set in a Multiverse where RTTE and The Hidden World are mutuality exclusive. (Pt.1): After dealing with Drago but before dealing with Grimmborn, Hiccup and Toothless once fought a witch intent on ‘harvesting’ dragons. Now ten years after the dragons have left her apprentice seeks revenge and kidnaps Zephyr and Nuffink, and a panicked Hiccup and Astrid are contacted by the Very Retired and Very Much Done With This Kid witch. Meanwhile in the RTTE-verse, The Dragon Riders only just got back from informing Berk about Johann’s treachery, when some crazy lady spontaneously appears in the middle of the Edge with two terrified children she intends to feed to dragons. Yeah, that’s not happening.        (Pt.2, spoilers for this AU I guess???): Zephyr and Nuffink and their parents have safely returned to New Berk, but their world has been shaken by what was and could have been. Zephyr and Nuffink, after bonding with Dagur in the other timeline, decide they want to try and help him in theirs. This was perhaps not their best idea. Meanwhile, the Nightlights escape the watchful eye of their parents to go exploring outside the Hidden World, and quickly meet the hatchlings of their dad’s brother! (so… their cousins, then?)

Something Wild (name subject to change) - Several years after Berk (along with most of the Archipelago) is attacked and taken captive by a far more advanced foe, Stoick is able to free most of his people but what he finds when they get manage to regroup back to their island is less than a relief- Berk ravaged and their elderly and children, left behind by their captors, missing. To make matters worse, the dragons are still out there, now with some kind of devils riding and aiding them. Now Stoick, Gobber, and the rest of the people of Berk must find safety and a way to fight back against they’re new foe, find what happened to those who are missing, and figure out who these dragon riders are and whether they’re friend of foe (gee i wonder where the Berkians went and who the dragon riders are golly what a mystery). (aka the feral/semi-feral!dragon riders au i keep trying to create)

Lost (name subject to change) - Alternate attempt at the feral/semi-feral!dragon riders au. Several years before the events of the movie could happen, a raid on Berk not by dragons, but by other people, leads to the destruction of an entire generation when the raiders manage to capture the Teenagers of Berk and ship them away. While in captivity, they meet and ultimately befriend the dragons that in another life would be their partners and together they all escape. Unfortunately, they’re Thor-knows-where, and with no one they can trust (or understand) except each other, getting back to Berk might take a while…

The Lego Movie:

Hero with Two Faces of Yellow - Another ‘Emmet and Rex share a body like Good Cop Bad Cop’ AU

Peacemaker AU - Main Lego AU. About a year after the Duplo aliens attack, Emmet is attacked and presumed dead, but he’s actually been taken by General Mayhem to meet Queen Watevra Wana'bi, who remembered and missed her ‘father’. Later, Rex ends up jumping into an entirely different timeline by accident (this one) and decides to try and play the long game by befriending Emmet, who’s now living in the Systar System. That probably won’t work out for him the way he wanted.

Miraculous Ladybug

MiracuClass Knows AU - Prior to Volpina, each member of the MiracuClass finds out the identities of Ladybug and Chat Noir, and just sort of collectively become their secret keepers. Inspired by Epiphanies by PFTones3582 on Fanfiction.net.

Miraculous Sburb AU - The MiracuClass play Sburb and end up dragging a good chunk of Paris in with them when they enter the Medium. Marinette is a Light player, Adrien is a Doom player, and that’s all I got. Gabriel probably definitely dies.

One Is Silver and the Other Gold - aka the Marikimno Brot3 AU. I headcannon that Marinette, Kim, and Nino were close friends as little kids that drifted apart a few years prior to the start of the show. In this AU, that never happened. Also, Alya becomes Adrien’s best friend instead of Nino, and Nathanel becomes their friend too somehow? (someone help Alya, she’s an extrovert and both her friends have social skill levels in the single digits.)

The Ladybug and the Monkey - Main Miraculous Ladybug AU. My take on the ‘Fu chooses Kim to be the second Miraculous wielder instead of Adrien’ AU that I’ve somehow seen multiple times.

Sleeper Miraculous -  AU where instead of the Miraculous being handed out, they’re transported magically to their wielders after they’ve proved themselves somehow. The Miraculous still need to be ‘activated’ by the Guardian to be used on either a permanent or temporary basis, so Ladybug still has to go to Master Fu at first before she becomes the new Guardian, but she knows literally none of the other members of Team Miraculous’s identities. They have a chat group, too, where Ladybug updates team members on whose Miraculous she’s going to activate, and both Chloe and Kagami never blow their identities. Contains both mild Classmates + (even milder)Adrien salt and sugar. (define irony: wanting to punch someone in the face for being an a-hole only to realize that said a-hole is you).

Miraculous! Pretty Cure! - Another Pretty Cure AU. Yep.

Mesapia AU - Butterfly!Marinette AU with a few twists - 1) instead of just facing the villainous user of the Ladybug Miraculous, all of the Miraculous have been lost to villains (save for the rabbit). Marinette frequently empowers her classmates (+Adrien, who’s still under house-arrest in this AU, Luka, and Kagami) to fight the Miraculous Villains, who are also all fighting each other; and 2) This isn’t so much a Kwami Swap as a Kwami Scramble, no one uses their canon Miraculous here (except for Fu briefly, and Emilie had the peacock before what happened to her)!

Boys vs Girls AU (name subject to change) - Marinette vs Lila with the Boys (+Kagami) on Marinette’s side and the Girls on Lila’s.

Labyrinth - Almost the entirety of the MiracuClass go missing (+Lila, Luka, & Kagami, -Chloe) and on a related note, eight very young children wake up in an ever-shifting, monster-filled underground labyrinth and grow up together. And two of them have some special, appearance-shifting jewelry…

Mad Gabriel - Miraculous Ladybug x Mad Father, starring Adrien as Aya, Marinette as Dio, Gabriel as Alfred Drevis, Nathalie as Maria, and everyone else as the doctor’s victims (Lila is Ines).

Miraculous Royal AU - A fantasy AU starring the MiracuClass (shocker) spread out across three fantasy kingdoms.

Quartz Butterfly AU - AU in which Jagged Stone takes the role of (a significantly nicer but still villainous) Hawkmoth as Quartz Butterfly, with Penny taking on Mayura’s role as Songbird. (yes i know peacocks aren’t songbirds SHHHH).

MiracuTrio AU - AU based on fanofanimation’s submission to terrible-miraculous-ladybug-aus, where Kim becomes a permanent member of the team after Party Crasher.

Mitterlicht - horror-ish AU inspired partially by various horror games, Lucidstuck, and Underbright (no, really).  After receiving their Miraculous for the first time, the temporary heroes start having less-than-restful nights. Things quickly go from bad to worse when fragmented, panic-inducing dreams turn into nightly (and solitary) trips into a dark world full of monsters that want to take something referred to just as their ‘light’- a bright light that acts as both a beacon to the hostile creatures and the only way to return to consciousness every night -which just so happen to be in the exact spot (and in many cases, are also vaguely the same shape) of their Miraculouses.

Mirakatsu - Aikatsu AU

Ladybug: Don’t Deal With Hawkmoth - (aka the result of listening to the Cuphead Rap Battle 50 million times) Cuphead AU where Ladybug and Chat Noir have to go around beating up akumas and collecting their butterflies to avoid getting akumatized by Hawkmoth.

Miracle Thieves - a phantom/gentleman thief au where Marinette and Adrien (who have been thieves for years) unwittingly steal a pair of magical artifacts and decide to team up afterwards. Includes Fox!Nino, Journalist-determined-to-expose-their-identities!Alya, and possibly Tiger!Markov.

Relief Was Just a Dream (name subject to change) - aka the mandatory Troll Rebellion AU, inspired by a fic I don’t remember the name of on A03. Sweeps after Karkat and Feferi are (seemingly) culled, Ace Legislacerator Terezi Pyrope -one of the best despite knowing she’s one wrong move away from being culled for her disability- is called in to investigate a series of traitorous attacks on more and more ships. Weirdly, the trolls seen most in the attacks don’t even seem to exist, all seem to bleed a painfully familiar cherry red, and have powers that even Her Imperial Condescension doesn’t seem to have. (not a no-game au)

Freetime AU (name subject to change) - AU where Bro leaves Dave on Dad Egbert’s doorstep, and Dave and John grow up as brothers.

Pokemon Network - Hub lives Pokemon AU with at least two protagonist teams. Team A: Lan, Hub, Mayl, Dex & Yai in Kanto. Team B: Roll, Glyde, Gutsman (Gus) in Kalos. What are Chaud and Protoman/Blues up to? ~Secrets~

Sailor Moon:

Inverse Corruption - When Beryl scours the Earth looking for her reincarnated generals she fails to find them, but she does manage to find the senshi instead. Sailor Moon has to unknowingly face the very girls who were supposed to protect her, fighting side-by-side with the Shitennou instead. (the boys are highschoolers to the girls middleschoolers)

Hazbin Hotel:

Infernal Relations - Why did Lucifer and Lilith wait so long to have a child? Simple; they didn’t. Unbeknownst to Charlie, her parents both had and lost a child thousands of years before she was born, a fact that will have far more of an effect on her hotel than she could possibly realize (even if she had known).

Apprentice Charlie AU - AU where Charlie gets into a fight with Lucifer and leaves before she ever thinks to create her hotel and Alastor ends up finding amusement by taking on an apprentice. (inspired by Helluva Teacher by Sol_Victoria on A03)

Phineas and Ferb:

Cursed Cats AU - AU based on the song Black Cats of Halloween. Phineas, Ferb, and their friends are cursed by a demon who turns them into black cats, save for on Halloween night. They’re then thrown into a world of magic and have to find each other, their way back home, and a way to break their curse, preferably in that order.

Online Gamer AU - no one dies/non-despair AU where no one is a super/ultra highschool level anything, no one has met each other in person, and they all play Among Us together. Junko always dies first and she’s low-key going to hurt someone over it.

Meanwhile in the control room, Makoto and a sort-of-but-not-really-reformed Junko are working together as the Masterminds behind the mystery. Well, Makoto’s working, anyway. Junko just kind of wants to give Makoto daily migraines. Contains Junko/Makoto hateshipping.

Assasain!Makoto AU: The Killing Mystery - au that’s basically the one directly above but takes place in a non-despair (or maybe averted despair would be more accurate) timeline. After receiving and turning down a job to assassinate a certain up-and-coming politician, The Black Mask (Makoto) alerts his would-be victim, an old former friend, that someone is out for his life.

Remnants of Hope AU - AU that takes place after the end of School Mode, with the class not being picked up by the future foundation right away. (does this. does this actually qualify as an au i’m not sure.)

Soulmates AU - In a world where most people are colorblind until meeting their soulmate, Makoto Naegi walks into Hope’s Peak Academy colorblind, blacks out, and wakes up to color. As it turns out, the same thing happened to everyone else!

Scrapbook AU - After entering into Hope’s Peak Academy, Makoto started a scrapbook/photo album of himself, his classmates, and eventually even the class above his own during their time on and off school. It soon became a class diary of sorts after being discovered, shared among everyone… then a chronicle of the events leading up to Class 77 going missing, The Tragedy starting, and Class 78 sealing themselves inside the school bunker, before returning to it’s original purpose as Class 78 lived inside their homemade bunker. In canon, Junko found and burned it. In this timeline, it’s an amnesiac Makoto and his classmates who find it, hidden under the floor in Makoto’s room.

Amnesia AU - A boy wakes up in a school(?) with no memories of where he is, how he got here, or even who he is. As it turns out, there are fourteen other people here… and all of them have the same memory loss he does! (may or may not be an IF Bad End AU)

Polychain AU - Another different Victims and Blackends au, that extends well beyond the original Killing Game. The Tragedy occurs very differently in this one… initially. Also features Junko escaping after the Killing Game, and Hajime and Shuichi being half-brothers and kids of the survivors.

Ghost AU - After being killed, the victims and blackened are forced to stick around and watch the Killing Game happen, believing they'll be allowed to move on after they leave. Turns out, they're very much wrong- but at least after it's over their classmates can see them! Too bad they're the only ones.

Teachers Assistant AU - inspired by a fic I don’t remember the name of on fanfiction.net. After Nagito blows up a building and gets suspended, Chisa is forced to take a Teacher’s Assistant or be fired. Somehow, a very reluctant Makoto gets the job, despite being in the class below her own. Cross-class shenanigans ensue.

Unnamed Timetravel AU inspired by a fic I don’t remember the name of on fanfiction.net where Makoto and Alter Ego, the only survivors of the Killing Game, are sent back in time to Makoto’s first day attending Hope’s Peak - Makoto mentally and Alter Ego physically. Not as dark as the premise sounds, at least theoretically.

Dagla!Adrien AU - Adrien isn’t the son of Gabriel and Emilie Agreste, but instead his parents are a Modern Dagur and Mala. He still works for Gabriel as a model, but otherwise has had a very different upbringing (most notably the inclusion of a lot of people who have cared about him for his entire life, such as his best friend Zephyr Haddock) and acts more like Chat Noir both with and without the mask. He still befriends his canon friends, becomes Chat Noir, and falls in love with Ladybug. (HTTYD x Miraculous Ladybug)

Things get a little more tricky when it turns out that gems and humans coexist somewhat… on one side of a giant, seemingly uncross-able mountain range live humans, on the other gems, and after a war between the two a few centuries ago, both cultures have a kill on sight policy. To make things more complicated, gems seem to be very different in this timeline. (note: Frisk is not actually a gem, just disguised as one)

Don’t take any of this seriously, it's just me being stupid! It’s all for fun :). Also I haven’t read the books in a hot minute so if any of these clash with the actual plot I’m sorry.

-He was incredibly shy when he was little, to the point where he could barely talk to people out of sheer terror. Then Stoick decided to send him to Gobber to “help” him and he started to talk to people out of sheer terror

-He and Snotlout had a decent relationship when they were younger, nothing special but they tolerated each other

-Toothless has driven him to tears on multiple occasions but Toothless always tries to make it up to him in the most discreet way possible

-He’s a really good cook

-He’d probably be that one dad who genuinely thinks dad jokes are cool

-. 

-Can make almost anything knitting! Hats, sweaters, toys, you name it he can probably make it

-he gets bad nightmares but most of the time he can’t actually get through them because Toothless will wake him up for some weird fish or something

-Cats over dogs but he likes both

Agree with you both, I’ve always thought that they would occasionally dance to that song as a tribute to Stoick and Valka. As a sign of love and respect. They can’t dance together, so their son will for them.

Like, they dance to it at their wedding like Valka and Stoick undoubtedly did at theirs so that Zephyr and Nuffink will do they same and on and on with the Haddock’s as a tribute to Valka and Stoick. It goes on but as ‘The great-grandparents song” not “our song”. This way Stoick and Valka can be a part of the most joyous parts of their grandchildren’s lives. 

So may get hate for this but... I really wish people would not use "for the dancing and dreaming" for Hiccup and Astrid. Like I know it's a beautiful love song but it's not their song. It's Stoick's and Valka's. Like Hiccup didn't even know the song until Stoick sang it to Valka ( probably didn't even know his dad could sing like that even). That's how important that song meant to him. " I thought I would have to die to sing that song again." But yeah, just a little pet peeve I guess because everything seems to only be about the main couple not anyone else.
