Regeneration AU(Miraculous)

Not rlly sure what time(season) this should take place(most likely s5) but its where there's no miraculouses or akumas rlly. It heavily focuses on the main superhero cast(Marinette's ENTIRE class + Luka, Kagami, Felix) losing their miraculouses but still keeping their powers, its like the magic has been embedded into them, now have weird appearances and new powers. Oh! And their eyes reflect their miraculous designs(The actual jewelry design or kwami)! What Fun!

Ichorification AU(DW x JD) TW:Mention of Death)

A mashup AU! Consists of my favorite roblox game(Dandys World) and my favorite webcomic!(Jacksons Diary) It takes place in gardenview in its current timeline(The Ichor Operation) but theres not toons but funny looking teenagers. Keep in mind that not all toons get to be AUfied but all Jackson's Diary(main and some side characters) get AUfied! There may or may not be twisted. If they are, that means those silly teenagers from JD would ultimately die gruesomely and be revived through Ichor, giving them physical and behavioral changes.(This would all be before the AU) if not, ...good question. Maybe experiments? idk. Theres likely gonna be twisteds. Oh! and for most of the characters, if you were to touch them(Like holding their hand or maybe even knocking on their skin) they wouldn't feel like flesh! Their skin would actually feel like what toon they are based off. For Example, My "Shelly," Whos' called Pamela in the AU, rather then feeling like human flesh, her skin feels like...A Shell! or atleast glass! Their skin also doesn't scar normally, like being at 1-2 hearts would mean that some characters have cracks or chips, others look unnaturally weak(My sprout, whos called david would look like hes molding of if you were to squeeze a strawberry!)

Mashup Critters(PPT SC x NC)

haha isn't funny that I have a mashup au of two different media and I have an AU for the same media, but characters in those media are being put together. lolol ANYWAY This AU is about if the smiling critters were mixed with the nightmare critters! Thinking that this group of critters were rejects or the last effort Playtime Co. Made to get the original critters to be successful! havent fully decidec which smiling critter is being mashed up with which nightmare critter but I am VERY much sticking with Crafty x Simon. Two mythical critters put together and they could be considered opposites! Crafty thinks about others and the creativity all around the world while Simon thinks the world revolves around him and only thinks of himself!(Hot Loyal Thots mentioned) Most likely they are going solely based of the cartoon and not game-wise(...them as BBI versions tho would be cool actually....but naahh)

i always say I wanna talk more about my projects on here but never do :((( maybe I can change that??? and finally make some wip intros??

recently I started college! It’s been an exciting whirlwind, meeting all these new people and living (somewhat) on my own for the first time!!!! The only problem is that I am having problems with time management, especially when I’m home on the weekends… I’ve been swamped a lot of the time with homework and readings (especially readings lol bc of my 2 lit classes!) However, I’ve tried to stay creative, though it is hard to do!

anyway! in creative news:

I’ve been drawing a lot! I’m thinking of doing my own art challenge in October where I level up my art by learning and practicing some of my weak spots!

I’ve written four poems while on the bus recently. If I get inspired, I may create more! Don’t know if I’ll post them here, though.

off-topic, but I recently started Duolingo Spanish again! just got a 7-day streak :))

been tinkering slowly at a “day in the life” thing for my superhero story’s MC, Nebula, as well as other key moments in the story. Still plotting + kinda just writing the parts I’ve got inspiration for! Though, it might be a graphic novel/webcomic and not a book when it is properly made…

heist story has been buffering. I love it dearly, of course, and I keep drawing the characters, but it’s hard now that most of my earlier (aka really old) world building and plotting needs to be reworked! additionally, I’ve gotta flesh out a lot of the characters too…

I’ve been thinking about a lot of other potential project as well! here are some things that you may or may hear about again in the future!!

scripting + thumbnailing a pilot to a comic about a ghost kid who gets summoned by a newbie witch and tries to do their unfinished business… which is to become a necromancer and resurrect themself!

planning another comic, this one focusing on another set of two kids, this time rivals-to-friends heisting and unraveling the mystery behind a near-mythical map of an ancient civilization, set in a backdrop of a magical port city filled with stone temple ruins

overall attempting to eventually make a comic that is a self-contained short story and not a pilot to a bigger story so I can practice drawing comics without taking on a huge project! clearly I have failed twice.

had an idea for a podcast???? like, a fiction one? like, an audio drama? so that’s cool. I’d probably make a separate blog for it if I did, tho!

there’s a couple ttrpg jams I’m looking at soon, if I’ve got the time… of course

perpetually thinking about making big-ass YouTube video essays, mostly about media I liked as a kid, or that I like now. I guess I should use the recording studio at my university, huh?

Oh boy balancing!

I could go on and on about balancing. You may or may not disagree with the things I will say about it. ngl the balancing is why half of my guild doesn't play this game very much anymore, but I am somewhat tolerant of janky games and I have fun raiding with the other half. As much as I like glazing Labyrinth it's very much a problem when low-effort builds like Labyrinth can do 600k dps sustained while you basically stand there and do nothing, while more high-effort builds like acrobat and spellshade have to do backflips and summersaults only to pull off half of the dmg or less in bursts. Recently they made an announcement on how the teams are working on closing the power gap between builds and the first thing they are doing is nerfing mythics like Hero and Thrundra (Hero is basically meta) while buffing others, and also nerfing ingreds that go with meta builds that uses crafteds. IMO they should also make more non-mythics more viable as well, not just nerf mythics and the items used in their builds, because not everyone can shed stx on a mythic weapon and boots and crafteds. But part of the reason they are focusing on mythics is because they don’t want people shredding through bosses (tbh I feel like they are specifically talking abt tcc lol. big stationary rock is ez to kill with the right team mates). Honestly if they tweaked the archetypes/items so that viable builds do 200k-300k instead of double that amount, I would be fine with that.

In each class there are only like 1 or 2 archetypes that are meta or at least considered viable. There are also mythics that lean into one archetype, so if that archetype is doodoo then the mythic is also kind of dead (e.g. Grimtrap and trickster, tho it was literally just cherry bomb node nerf in trickster that made the mythic useless. Grimtrap basically hinged on that one node. Though I will say Grimtrap build also had the playstyle of being low-effort, high dps). They are constantly tweaking the Ability Tree and they still leave some archetypes in the dust or nerf already non-meta archetypes/weapons. There were a few good reworks like Paladin giving overheal but those are few and far between. It's annoying how much they change the ability tree every patch bc then it breaks the nodes selected in the in-game tree and on wynnbuilder so you have to fix your tree and wynnbuilder constantly has to be updated. Market Prices also fluctuate like crazy whenever there's item or archetype changes. like I bought my Nirvana for like 2 stx but in the acro rework it went up to like 7 even tho the rework was kinda mid

Talking about the items, like 70% of them are just bloat and honestly I don't know how some stats work exactly or how they interact with each other. Putting together a good build is indeed a daunting task with how complex stats are compared to old wynncraft and how much bloat there is. There is a guide on forums but idk a new player should not have to read a big longass guide on how all of it works and even some experienced players don't really know how it works either. Putting together pieces is mostly stuff you have to figure out on wynnbuilder. Most of the time I use other people’s builds and if needed I tweak them.

And this is my personal MMO gameplay peeve, but there is like no support mechanics in this game other than paladin and acolyte in which they are both able to give overheal and aco shaman also has vulnerability+vengeful buff that boosts damage for other players. I think if this game had more support mechanics and synergy between classes/archetypes, even builds that are on the lower end of dps spectrum can still contribute a significant amount of damage to the boss.

but that would require a large amount of rework and I think with the game's spaghetti code adding more support/synergy between classes may cause problems. I could go on abt how they could improve things but it is most likely much easier said than done. I understand there are limitations with the Minecraft engine that would make it challenging for Wynncraft to be as complex as a real MMO along with the teams being made of volunteers, so there’s only so much I can criticize.

I really hope that Fruma update will improve on the writing and doesn't cause too much powercreep, since the level cap will be raised and new mythics will be added. Since they made that announcement, I hope by the time Fruma comes out, the balancing will be sorted out. Because if not then the team who makes mobs/bosses are gonna have one hell of a time trying to scale them

I've also heard rumors of a world event similar to Anni being added to Fruma. I hope it doesn't actually happen unless they improve their servers because they can barely handle Anni already.

in regards to the guild side of the community, I am in one but am not big into the guild scene, tho I've seen a handful of old screenshots of guild chiefs being terrible people. all I know is that ETKW has recently been outed for having illegal shit in their discord and they still exist. Mods PLEASE get that pedo guild out of this game. If you are in the guild gtfo of there.

To end on a lighter note ig, wynncraft has charm to it and it's the most fleshed-out server in terms of graphics, build design, game design (even if it's poor), and music, and it's fun playing with friends which is why even with all it's flaws and something exploding every patch, I still like this game.

Like why are there so many NPCs?? I get that it’s a whole fucking world but like. In A Journey Beyond, there’s a blacksmith who helps us get into the silent expanse, right? Sure. Okay. But instead of, oh I don’t know, using the blacksmith that was already established to know shit about magic and souls it’s just some other random guy???? Like c’mon

And that’s just one example!!! There are so many NPCs that appear once and then never again!! Like!!! Why!!!!

And so many of the quests are just there for the sake of having a quest. Like they serve no narrative purpose, they don’t involve any reoccurring characters, they’re literally just there because someone wanted to do something. You could not play them and the only thing you’re missing out on is like. Some XP at most. Maybe some emeralds.

Like okay I don’t know much about game design. I write stories, so thats not what I have experience in. So take this with a grain of salt. But if a quest only exists because you thought it would be funny to include a reference to this movie or whatever, and has literally no implications in the greater lore of the world, don’t implement it???? Kill your darlings??????

I think Wynncraft has SO much potential. It is salvageable. But I don’t think it’s ever going to be salvaged, because the content team is more focused on making something that will keep as many people playing for as long as possible rather than something they want people to enjoy. And yes I would say that to their face. In fact I want to. But I won’t. Because I’m not a dick.

Just… I have so many feelings about this. I love it but it’s so bad. It fucking sucks. I wish it was better. And this doesn’t even go into my issues with the fans.

🦋 Project Chrysalis, the Colorful Butterfly 🦋

Influenced by the song "Butterfly" by smile.dk and the remix by Kors k feat. Starbitz in Dancerush stardom, this Yumi got a butterfly-themed upgrade with some extra abilities like illusion and summoning butterflies for distraction. The species she's based on is a peacock swallowtail (Papilio blumei)

She's still keeping her seriousness in fighting, but she is easily flustered when someone pets her antenna hair. (Yep, the antennae is actually her hair). The bracelet is an transformation item. Project Chrysalis is a part of Mythic / Mystical Upgrades AU that will be into 4 parts, each part focusing on Ulrich, Yumi, Odd and Aelita.

🦊 Japanese Fantasy, the Extroverted Fox Maiden 🦊

Before you ask, this is the official rebranding of the iroha uta AU bc I really suck at romance. The old color scheme has too much orange, so I made her to be more like a miko (shrine maiden) and Aelita's helper. So, no geisha makeup, she still does wear her red eyeshadow/eyeliner tho!

Fox Yumi has fire controlling abilities, in the form of fireballs! sadly she can't turn into an actual fox. She can also change her eye color into red whenever she has any strong emotions (mostly being agitated)

This new Lyoko outfit is only worn in the new Japanese sector, named Yamato sector!

👹 Oni Yumi, the Spunky Demon and Guardian 👹

I already posted her fixed design in my previous codejuly entry.

She's part of an unnamed AU, but here are some quirks of her. She is loosely based of one of my fav Hololive Vtubers, Nakiri Ayame. Her katana blade is her secondary weapon, and when she draws her blade, she also can manipulate fire with her katana. Aside from it, she can also create flowers... with toxic pollen. Her fans can also spread the pollen in a greater range.

The red flower underneath her eye and on her left shoulder are curse marks btw. Oni!Yumi always emphasize that those aren't tattoos, those are legit, actual curse marks. Her anger is one of her main flaws. She can change her eye color to hazel when she's really enraged, but as for now, I haven't drawn her "hazel eyes" mode. Personality wise, she's spunky, but can be ruthless and unapologetic when she finally snapped.

🌸 Upgraded AU, the Elegant yet Cool Onna-Musha 🌸

P.S. Onna musha is another term of onna bugeisha, which means "woman martial artist". It is also sort of a wordplay, bc in season 1-3 Yumi's Lyoko form is a traditional geisha.

Tbh she has a lot of changes. Her initial upgraded design was more Chinese-looking, not Japanese (bc my dumbass brain thought that using halloweencostumes.com was a good idea for costume design), so I changed it entirely to be a mix of original design and garage kids fused together. Oh, she also wears black fingerless gloves, a breastplate, a Japanese-styled shoulder guard/pad, and bandages on her left arm. No full body design, but i might change her boots a bit.

I prefer using this route for Yumi in my post-S3 AU, and I already hate S4 for making Yumi's Lyoko form look more like a bunnygirl, so... welp. This AU Yumi doesn't have changes personality-wise to the normal Yumi, but probably... I'll change bits of it gradually. Her secondary weapon will be a naginata!

🐱 Neko Yumi, The Cutest Virtualization Bug Ever 🐱

Basically it's season 1-3 Yumi with cat ears and tail because of a "DNA fusion" with her adopted pet cat. I might make a nekomata variety of this, but let's see.

This literally is just a random idea bc I love kemonomimi. The ears, bell and tail color is based of my Twitter friend's pet cat, they named it Yumi too 🐱 (Bc their twitter account is privated, here's the cat)

People been saying she looks like Nezuko or any other Kimetsu no Yaiba character, but this design is more influenced by the geisha in identity V.

According to Epsilon, Onryo Empress Yumi is not awkward at all and is a superb seductress. Which, while great for Ulrich, is not great for everyone else. One look at the Onryo Empress and you understand that this is a true queen of darkness.

💀 X.A.N.A.-Yumi, Simple But Intimidating 💀

X.A.N.A.-Yumi is personally my most favorite design of all these AU Yumis I ever created. She is basically a fusion between oiran, geisha and kunoichi. Sorry for the messy motifs of her kimono whatsoever, those are supposed to be lilies.

M!Corrin-wise -  I dont think Omega Yato will be his weapon, because the refined version of his OG version (normal M!Corrin in the red pool) already has it. While his art has his normal weapon, his sprite has Omega Yato.

Dawn Yato is definitely a possibility tho! although it would be very odd to give it to him and not make its Twin/Mirror Weapon Dusk Yato to CQ!themed!L!F!Corrin.(but hey its IS)

(something i am so salty off bc i love Dawn and Dusk Yatos ;-; they are so pretty and match so well their promotions... and games... heck!! they both have their route-represent Legendary weapons features incorpored on them and just *clenches fist at the emotional moments*)

Also, A re-colored dragon alt is also a possibility, since L!F!Corn did that.

I dont think skipping the Staff is a certainty because IS has made weird choices before. Leif has an Bow which is a weird choice for him, but, like Corrin, he has a A Rank in bows in his promoted class, and like Corrin he is an “unpopular” Lord. Chrom and Lucina have Bows, when they also had Lances as options by promotion class.

I dont think popularity certainly incentivizes diversity in weapon usage. because we have had a lot of Weird choices from IS of making a popular character have the same weapon across multiple alts. -> 3H lords, Ike, Eirika and Ephraim had all a repeat of their OG weapons and are far more or just as popular as Micaiah; and even weirder L!F!Corrin, who by CYL and Nintendo magazine poll is more popular then M!Corrin,  has the same weapon type than her fallen version (and still lacks a red alt for her emblem AND had an iconic red weapon associated with her promotion of DarkBlood/Nohr Noble (Dusk Yato)). Also fun fact, F!Corrin counterpart to M!Corrin Staff Rank is a Tome Rank. So it would also be possible for her to have had an red tome alt.

conclusion regarding weapons: IS pretty much spins a Wheel and decides what to do. I think its pretty much a case of...whatever the executives woke up on that day wanting.

(that, of course, doesnt make theorizing what weapon they will have  any less fun xD)

Honestly the only reason why I am certain it is Micaiah is irrational/a F2P technique. In  that if it is not her, it will destroy my will to summon and thus allow me to spend less XD. I have seen people doing it and boy does it works wonders when you arent right.

Going by that (my theory it is Micaiah) I find it unlikely to be Colorless (and thus Staff or colorless tome) only because the other spreads are just That Good^tm.

One of the methods that people used to guess which color the new Leg/Mythic will be is to see which color has a busted spread of colors. And it has been right ever since Edelgard

(The reason for so is that IS seems to have realized that by debutting the hero on a so-so spread, it made people wait for their rerun in order to get them, Bramimond being an example in that his spread was awful (L!Grima) and his rerun spread was godsmacking good (Mila)... pun not intended)

The colorless this time is rather...i wouldnt say weak, because Eir usability is REALLy good and Duma has a nice niche of wrecking people plans(cackles in my AR matches). However, they are fairly outdated in comparation with the other color spreads. So, in the event this leg hero is Micaiah (or Elincia, or Byleth) i dont think they would be colorless because of that.

Oh! Regarding the CYL theory, since the legendaries were introduced in the second year of FEH, I dont consider much broken, since i merely think its always /A/ winner instead of the 1st of each year. Since shuffling of legendaries is possible, (those times when IS changed the calendar lineup), should the Byleths win CYL(which is fairly likely). it would be easy to put them on the next GW. And I also think it will be a theory that will be broken absolutely next year, since I doubt Marianne and Gatekeeper would be viable L!Heroes. I agree with you that is a weak pattern that is likely to be broken.

Counterpoint to Wind F!Byleth ->  Blessings not always end up being the element that is most associated with the Character in the main game. Highly Water themed (and midly Fire themed;) Corrin ended up as Wind; Julia, who has Minor blood of fire and was called “Genealogy’s Fire Emblem sword” was Earth; Eliwood, wielding the fire themed Durandal, was Wind. (tbf this is also a counterpoint to Wind Micaiah, since she has more association with Light and maybe Fire(?) than Wind)

Regarding 3H launching with 3H, besides Edelgard, Claude also debuted with no 3H legendary accompanying him. Annete was there, but other than that, no other 3H unit or legendary was on the banner. In fact, the pattern i do see with 3H legendaries is that their first re-run matches with a release of a Mythic in their color spread. (Edelgard -> Hel ; Dimitri -> Seiros).

I want to highlight that i am not saying it wont happen, but that I lean more towards they keeping a space between 3H legendaries release, in order to long term profits, and to not cause burn-out of 3H content. (or at least decrease people complaining about it; They seem to have learned their lesson with the Fates and Tellius spams.)

Finally,I do think that it is possible for Micaiah to be a Staff and for other characters to be released in this month/banner, mostly it is the premises i chose to apply to this theorizing lead me in a contrary direction xD. You show some good points! (I would love a Dawn Yato Corn and a Staff Micaiah ;-;...)

Extra Tangent: I have absolutely no idea what IS(executives) considers the character is associated with Silver Snow like...

For one side, Seteth makes lip service saying the route lord is Rhea; Rhea presents the choice mirror to Edelgard’s in the route split; the ending cutscene focuses on Rhea character development/closure, but, at the same time, she is Sir Not Appearing for 75% of the route and the rest of the time she is benched.

For another side, Byleth was made to be the lord to Edelgard emperor’s and her rival; has several cutscenes showcasing that; is the “lord” of the route in role sense, but, on the other hand, its more associated with Fire (fire emblem).

Honestly at this point i just dont know what FEH is going to do with them. I think IS is going to make one of Byleth Wind as you said and the other Fire, but which one, i have no idea. I could see too an argument for Ground(since i think at the lack of an Light element for Light element character-focused they pick ground sometimes) too, but yeah. 

I cant believe the true plot twist of GW is gonna be Rhea being the wind legendary breaking all of our theories xD (/j, but can you imagine how funny it would be?)

oblivions in this weird place where its like simultaneously good and bad for how much it just fucking abandons everything the prev games had set up. and to be real its mostly bad for it but the results are kind of fascinating

tho either way i do think the way it just like. fucking DROPPED all political intrigue and buildup is kind of sad. like i actually think “oops the succession crisis is resolved actually because uriel septim and all of his known sons were fucking murdered in the first 15 minutes of the game” is really really funny and not wholly a bad thing but like. the plot of oblivion is wholly political and yet the actual content somehow manages to abandon literally every political thread previously established in the series.

 like the setup is perfect where you have this dying empire thats been built up ESPECIALLY heavy in morrowind where all the previous political tension is just usurped by a hell invasion so you can have like all this cosmic existential threat shit with a backdrop of the political crisis thats Very Much Supposed To Be Happening. 

the character setup is perfect too bc youve got

your “hero” who is some jackass from the sewers who has absolutely no intrinsic importance or chosen one status

your other hero who finds himself absolutely central to this complex web of political collapse without having ever been aware of this

you are both outsiders  who get to experience this with fresh eyes

and then you have

 the blades, a spy/secret police/fucked up guard militia who at that point still have pretty significant political power and technically are semi-independent

the elder council

the mythic dawn, which could very easily both be an apocalypse cult and just political dissidents

which then youd think might lead to some Intrigue with the blades reverting back to the more basic role of their group irt the dragonborn getting into conflict with the rest of the empires political machine and gettng pulled at from all directions as the empire devours itself to death in the midst of multiple crises and maybe THEYRE squabbling over all this political shit while you, the clowns of kvatch, (martin is one of the clowns) are like kind of focused on trying to keep the world from ending and stuff

I got bored a few days ago and wrote some stuff down for this au cause I'm invested lol

This is mostly just basic notes for designs and what this au is, most of it is subject to change, but I hope it sounds alright so far !

Miscellaneous Info 

Emily dies, Charles moves himself and Lydia out into the country of some far off place to help get her in a new environment 

Charles may have taken time off of his job or has a different one that would allow the move out of the city 

House is Emily's childhood home, a well sized cottage. Not around much civilization, but not entirely solitary, lots of woods and nature. 

Has a beautiful large garden, upkeep seems to be recent. Charles believes there might be a resident garden. Is there? 

Delia is very much there, and very much the same as the musical, tho she may be more of a wiccan sort. 

Lydia goes on an adventure to find her moms spirit 

Charles legitimately probably freaks out and him and Delia go on an adventure to find Lydia 

Maitlands are there at somepoint, as what idk yet 

Is there an antagonist??? Probably?? (Juno maybe???)

Conflict might be the dangers of dabbling with spirit world/darker things. 

Mainly focusing on found family, healing and Magic

Lil older than OG Lydias, about 16 yrs old 

Mom was a nature/healing oriented witch 

Found out about it when Emily died 

Has Emily's spell books and tomes of mythical creature information

Determined to learn how to harness magic, believes she can do so since her mom could 

Leaves home to track down a source to bring Emily back to life at most, or talk to her spirit at least 

Meets Fairy!Beej cause of a mix up of a legend she read 

Meets Maitlands AFTER Beetlejuice

Dark/Spirit spectrum fairy 

Wears mostly browns, greens and blacks 

Has beetle wings, the carapace being black with a green shine and his wings membranes are light brown with green at the tips 

Wears leaves and flowers, a black flower cloak drapes his shoulders with a green flower petal tie held in place by a wooden beetle. Off white shirt with rolled sleeves, brown and green leaves hangs from his waist in a sort of tunic pattern. Black and white striped leggings with brown boots 

Has big floppy ears !! Used for emoting, left ear has a small chip in the middle 

Might have a tail?? Up for debate 

Very bright golden eyes, very inhuman 

Maybe green skin, up for change 

gets trapped by Lydia cause she believes he can grant wishes 

Wants to help her cause he believes she can help him find a way to get/do something I'm still thinking of lol 

Flirts with maitlands 

Mood ring hair still, not a solid color, black roots with mostly green. 

The Maitlands 

Both are small creatures, with wings, not fairy/pixie tho 

Different elemental properties yet complementary ones 

Barbara's hair is probably longer than in the musical, design has a very tough but warm look/feel 

Adam has a homely design, simple yet natural, makes you admire him in a parental sense

Worry for Lydia when they encounter her 

Meet Lydia mid way?? Maybe earlier, notice her haggard expression and want to help this poor child that's wandering through the enchanted forest 

Very wary around Beej at first. 

Barbara helps Lydia with the navigation and magic learning, Adam helps with the translations and ingredients for spells. Both have a knowledge for Botany and Plant info

The question catches him off guard somewhat though in part for sounding so damn archaic.

As much as he truly adores travelling with the constant need for documents and harder borders suck half the fun out of it. That and even those with the spirit embedded in their soul have to stay put in one place for a while though admittedly this is incredibly unique circumstances that do not involve feeling homesick.

“Everythings pretty fragmented these days and most people could expect to run into would be a changeling but that all caught fire recently so even that’s out too now… The survivors rightly fled hoping the underground would accept them,” he says shrugging while leaning back into his chair causing the front legs to lift just a bit.

“I doubt there’s a single person not at this very table that believes it ever existed or could making the mythical and whatnot closest thing to living ghosts you can get and far more focused on their own problems things are pretty divorced and have been a long time. Still there tho if you know where to look, just very aware of what happens if the wrong person finds out and the older ones carry the scars of being caught.” 

The chair taps to the ground again upon hearing the question and he gestures towards his face in general.

“Mmn, the eyes mostly and,” then to Skrael’s chin.

“That, he’s got the same bit too distinctive not to notice. Seen other facial markings and tattoos sure but never exactly the same. I’ll be perfectly honest I’ve never asked about it just seemed kinda rude to almost? Not everyone is okay with getting these things pointed to.”

“I... am not sure I understand. So the magic users are either alone by choice or a part of a group - that much is clear - but how are the responsibilities divided when it comes to looking after people who does not use magic? How are they protected from magical threats?”

He frowns slightly.

“Would a group of magic users journey from place to place, perhaps, to serve as needed?”

That sounds familiar enough, much like Tak, Maurgh and Skrael did, although each journey alone, moving from one territory to another so that no tribe are completely without guidance or protection.

“Surely, even if people were unaware of magic, those who wield it would not abandon them? By the way you speak, it sounds like those affiliated with magic are... cautious. But who would dare to capture them and give them scars?” He is quiet for a moment, recalling some tribesmen who feared magic and the result of their actions - and he sighs. “Nevermind, I can imagine.”

When the other indicates to his chin, he touches the black line automatically. It has to be a coincidence.

“Where I come from the few of us who uses magic gets a mark that is unique to them alone. It indicates a skill of theirs that they excel at above all else, and that there is none better.” A light shrug. “I suppose the design isn’t so unique that nobody else might have thought of it.” But he looks doubtful as he says it. Somebody with that mark and blue eyes? Where he comes from, he is the only one with that eye color, apart from Maurgh. If the line reminds the stranger of somebody he knows, there might be other indications.

“Are there... other similarities?”
