It was really difficult to put together the first list. I had a spreadsheet of literally hundreds of characters that I had to whittle down. So I was happy to give some of the eliminated characters a second chance.

In the late 50s, he bought Hog Ranch, near the Ngong Hills & adjacent to his friend Karen Blixen’s coffee farm. In 1972 he acquired an estate at Montauk Point near Andy Warhol.

Explosive, collagist, his works combine his photographs with his diaries - paper clippings, dried leaves, insects, old sepia photos, phone messages, India ink marginalia, quotes. Blood from the nearest butcher - and his own. Photographing wildlife, wild personalities and living an extravagant, untamed, life, Peter Beard was the personification of the word “Wild.” Baptised “the last of the adventurers,” Beard is as famous for his very public private life as he is for his idiosyncratic collage diaries and assemblages. Bringing together found objects, contact sheets, literary text and photographs from Tsavo, Kenya, his work subverts craft, control, and intentionality, typically associated with conventional artistic practice.

‘I’m an expert on futility and I like the futility and the pettiness of my diaries. It's a sort of laundry list of the day.’ It began when Jacqueline Kennedy gave him a leather-bound journal. He collaborated with Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Karen Blixen, Truman Capote, and Salvador Dalí. He also became a portraitist. In the jungle that is Manhattan & in Kenya (clad only in a kikoi) he proved as irresistible as he was insatiable. He was the great passion in the passionate life of Lee Radziwill. Ultimately, the artist was years ahead of his time in his efforts to sound the alarm about environmental damage, and became a walking symbol for a future generation of artists who would use their art to send urgent social messages to the public. “The deeper the white man went into Africa, the faster the life flowed out of it,” Beard wrote in his most critically acclaimed book, “The End of the Game.”

He had two failed marriages before a third to a Kenyan Muslim, Nejma Khanum, brought him a measure of peace and stability with the birth of a daughter, Zara. But he remained untamed. One time, in the Sth of France, he sold off a valuable photo to pay off a $20,000 bar bill. His long suffering wife, Nejma, sought to regain the art he had given away or loaned in a haze of drink and drugs.

i am objectively NOT doing great tbh. and i understand the concept of a break. but. every time i've left a wip for something else it's just never been finished? and also each fic has like a specific space in my brain that the energy of the writing lives. and i'm afraid if i leave dad lando i will never actually find that place again. also i just really want this fic to be done so i can share it, but now i fear it won't be finished bc i've ruined my own perception of it permanently. idk. bad week. i wish i could have had like 85 hours of uninterrupted time to bang this entire 60k thing out when it was all gelling in my mind, but unfortunately i do have a stupid real job and now it's just not all clicking like it was anymore.

i swear no one hates the pale princess and the six pygmies more than anyone that tries to make sense of genshin lore for any extended amount of time

like i am starting to feel at least like 85% confident (among many others) that we might FINALLY have our first fucking semblance of a clue as to what the events depicted in it could even be with the 3rd descender lore reveals bc like. 3rd descender being the light prince just Really clicks with multiple beats in there including but not limited to the specific mention of a "curse" falling the six pygmies from the remnants of the prince like. HUH. when the gnoses made from the 3rd are also described as a curse. and thats genuinely incredibly exciting bc it feels actually plausible.

but. because this book is still the actual worst designed to torture us all. that just also makes everything even more confusing 😭 bc one fairly prevalent thing (that i personally found quite compelling) with pale princess theories was her possible identity as the seelie ancestor who fell in love with a human and led to the downfall of their race. which has always been highkey giving the night mother destroying the moonlight kingdom and cursing the people of the pale princess into an "undead state, lingering at the point between life and death forevermore". like thats Way too on the nose with how the pale princess is literally the light princes lover so. yeah seelie ancestor always a strong contender for that one. but also what the fuck does that mean for the timeline

and dont even get me started with the pygmies like. who the fuck are the pygmies it makes me want to morb. obviously a ton of theories have tried to fit the archons as the pygmies but its always been a little ehhhhhh at least when attempting to fit our current archons as a whole (+ the whole. 6 pygmies 7 archons things). but the pygmies = cursed from the princes remains part is also like. very gnosis aligned after the fontaine AQ reveals so go figure. i hate this shit 😭

i also saw a speculation on the pygmies as the sovereigns given its likely scyllas already kicked the bucket at the point the 3rd descender happened (since he was already dead when the shade of life was creating egeria) so 7 lizards turning into 6 remaining pygmies in the story has no numerical dissonance. but that keeps raising questions still bc of how gnosis coded the princes death and the ensuing curse feels!! i hate this book have i mentioned that already. but i do find it a compelling argument solely on account of how much better the sovereigns would fit the timeline of sth that happened thousands of years ago Especially if the fall of the seelie queen is involved in any form. also read a good point that some of the pygmy descriptions could arguably fit the 2 of the ancient sovereigns slash likely candidates better than any archon, specifically apep for the pygmy only caring for its own garden and azhdaha for the blind one.

but then its like. if the betrayal of the 3rd was by the defeated and remaining sovereigns it kinda makes the gnosis thing another question mark. like we still lack so much info on the connections and the timeline between the stolen thrones of authority, the war of vengeance and ensuing weakening of the POs "functions" leading to the establishment of the vision system and the archon war and where the gnoses fall in all of this. hhhhhhhhhh

so like whether the six pygmies are some assortment of archons or the sovereigns or some other group altogether we are still so utterly clueless its terrible 😭

omg i dont think u remember but yk how i mentioned in an ask that i was better than some smart dude (who i had a rivalry with) at physics?? so the "physics girl" title has been given to me (word got out that i got the highest physics exam score in my grade??) BUTTT this semester i have NOT been focusing in class, i havent attended 50% of our classes (mostly due to practicing for plays, attending school club meetings, falling ill once or twice), and 2nd semester topics are much harder than 1st 😭 AND this exam isnt gna be prepared by our teachers which means i gotta revise EVERYTHING we've covered?? 😭😭😭😭

you really don't need to worry about what other ppl will think, it happens! i hope your grade doesn't fall that much if at all, but don't be so worried about what other ppl or your teacher will think. nobody will think you're a fraud or you cheated just bc you didn't do as well (and this hasn't even happened yet!) it happens to the best of us!

i hope you have enough time to plan out how you're gonna revise everything, and since you're good in physics, i believe you will ace it this time too. it doesn't even have to be as good as last time, but around that grade should be fine! I‘m aware that im saying this about a character who already has more than enough content out there, but…jason would benefit so much from something that isnt part of an event or a mini thats set in the past (both inconsequent). Like there are 5838228 events and 3 issue stories with jasons dilemma in the foreground and even if they‘re well done and interesting they never matter. RHATO fucking sucked ass, but there are so many little things from that time that still influence jason stories. That ugly suit, his "i had a falling out with bruce :(" status quo and his relationship to his adoptive family.

Every writer wants to be the one to write theee jason story where he solves all of his issues, reconciles with bruce etc and they try to do that in elsewhere story #733737 or mini #172727 and it never sticks (considering what some of have written i say hallelujah).

What im trying to say is he needs an on going with an at least semi capable writer who doesnt try to turn him into dick grayson or the punisher. It has to start off with jason being a villain and i personally dgaf if it stays that way or he turns into a anti-hero etc. What i do care about is: it has to happen on panel, i need to see the developement. I dont mind him having fights with bruce and co, i dont ever see them cutting ties but rhato #25 cant be the status quo anymore…also no oblivious jason who has never considered the consequences of his actions. If he changes his mind about his ideology and methods it should be bc of convincing reasons (note: i dont ever see him not killing at all)

Honestly winick wrote a lot of that into uth and lost days (as in the starting point of my delulu RH on going) and if a writer could start from there without the oedipus complex id be grateful xoxo (id kill for jason to have talia as some kind of mentor to him without her getting the blame for his actions, imo they need interactions outside of lost days and uth #25 so people can finally stfu about that awful part in lost days). Theyd need to add characters who connect him back to the normal world like dana or sth, bring back rena and eddie for all i care. Him not being a person outside of the red hood holds him back (one of my least favorite prts of tfz was jasons identity being public).

He should fuck with bruces plans and all, he should be a nuisance (think that prince of gotham arc [another bs story but i think it couldve been interesting if you changed 85% of it] where hes mocking bruce)

A lot of these things have been attempted by scott lobdell but that man was a shit writer so…(also the n52 premise was absolute shit which was also lobdells fault).
