I understand that representation is important and im not tryna be like “oh no they all need to be white” but there are certian character i see with designs as non-white like so frequently that i feel bad when i dont see them like that

Examples that come to mind; milo and huxley, i dont see either as white but i dont see either as black either but i feel like if i say “oh i dont see huxley as black” someones gonna come for my knees

i’m completely and utterly in love with the concept of reader developing feelings for alastor, but she knows he’s aroace so she doesn’t know how to communicate/doesn’t wanna cross any boundaries. so the next best thing? distance and close herself off from him.

when they’re in the same room she will not look at him or talk to him in case it slips that she’s head over heels.

she even goes as far as standing on the other side of the room because being too close to alastor sends her into a nervous frenzy.

but alastor, being the very observant demon that he is, notices how closed off she’s being when he’s used to her standing close to him. used to her soft and calming voice. used to having her presence around him all the time.

does he miss it? yes. will he ever admit that out loud? absolutely not.

so alastor confronts her about it. and maybe it takes a bit of poking and prodding to finally get reader to admit everything and she’s so terrified because “i don’t wanna lose you to my stupid and idiotic feelings”

but then… hehe. alastor just says;

“my darling, i love and cherish your company more than any of the others here. it’d be a downright shame to not have a beauty like you on my arm”

Last night when I was in bed, ready to fall asleep, there was a fly buzzing. It was so loud and so frequent that I wouldn't be able to sleep, so I got up to grab an old newspaper, but then the buzzing stopped. I got back to bed frustrated, thinking that the moment I'd get comfortable the buzzing would strat, but it didn't. That's when it hit me. The fly was probably dead, maybe she was buzzing in agony, maybe she wanted to fly back to her kids or maybe she had some regrets that she had to talk about. I keep calling the fly "she" because besides pink dresses, scented candles and taylor swift songs, femininity is about your suffering being an inconvenience to other people who'd want to punish you for expressing your discomfort. Or maybe she was just a very vocal fly.

once again feeling the need to point out that luke and annabeth's crushes were not meaningless 'gross stuff' but were in fact deliberate use of narrative to show (a) luke's descent to the dark side and (b) luke and annabeth's specific brand of abuse due to neglect and how that caused them (mostly annabeth) to latch onto the first person to show them (really her) love (and not die or immediately abandon her) and not let go even after that relationship turned toxic.

with percy and luke constantly being contrasted, it's literally a bite size way to introduce kids to healthy vs unhealthy relationships (and the difference between luke's rebellion and percy's rebellion on a smaller scale) and how to recognize red flags in a way that they understand (age differences) and frankly it's concerning that so many of you fell for it

Long answer:

I had a cursed Durge playthrough, the one you get when you lose the duel with Orin and you eventually get cursed by Bhaal. He curses you with his infinite hunger, to walk forever as a mad, mindless monster.

I was surprised to see how your companions support you only if you are a good, resist Durge.

Both romanced Ascended and Spawn Astarion react this way:

He literally breaks up with you, once he finds out about your fate.

Shadowheart's and the others' reactions are similar:

Shadowheart mocks Durge when she really needs support in her darkest hour. And there is noone there for her, except for one ❤️

Look at Gortash's dialogue when you tell him you mean to defy Bhaal. He, better than anyone else, knows exactly what this means. He knows about the curse.

This here warms my heart, really.

And after you get cursed, he says this(similar lines to resist Durge but they still apply)

(resist Durge line^ but still, so heartwarming. He is literally ok with whatever fate you choose)

This is one of my most favourite lines, am I the only one seeing how supportive he actually is?

You know the rest of the dialogue with the "he did miss this" and all the things-they are the same no matter if you are cursed,resist or embrace Durge.

So yeah. This is it. Bhaal curses you to be your worst self ever, everyone turns their backs on you, but Gortash offers aid and continues to daydream about your Black Keep. 🌚
