This was a LONG time coming! And I want to thank @expensiveeggplant & @coffinbrotherr for putting up with my procrastination while boiling down the who and why of this list!

Adventure Time: Finnceline

My first real ship, the first fanfiction I ever read, and I spent hours watching Finnceline AMV's way back when YouTube didn't have commercials. Finn and Marcy's personalities and experiences play so well off of each other that I'm thoroughly convinced the writers were terrified of their potential. They would be an amazing butt-kicking couple, but that wouldn't leave Finn with as many flaws to develop as a young man coming of age. And it's such a shame because you know they'd always have each other's backs and best interests at heart. And with a fully grown adult Finn I'd bet money they'd have at least turned out as cuddle buddies... who occasionally engage in some very aggressive cuddling courtesy of my good friend Lofty! (Click at your own risk!)

Flame Princess and Huntress Wizard were great and had their cool moments with Finn, but something tells me Marceline would give up her immortal life in a heartbeat to protect Finn. Having seen each other's pasts and memories and going out of their way to help each other with deep-rooted life issues, Finnceline just has more depth to work with than the other ships.

Gravity Falls: Dipper x Pacifica x Mabel

The first episode I ever saw was the one where Pacifica and Mabel play mini-golf. I wasn't fully paying attention and assumed Dipper and Mabel were just best friends dealing with a bully. The car ride home together was cute and solidified my first ever threeway ship. THEN I found out they were siblings...

Then I found out fanfiction didn't care! In fact, here's a [link] to the BEST fanfic I've ever read for this ship, enjoy!

Star Vs. The Forces of Evil: MonStarco

The MonStar AU is where things are relatively the same except for one thing: Star is half or part monster. It makes good sense that Star, being an interdimensional magical princess from an interdimensional magical kingdom would be a little more... interdimensional. It gives some fresh blood to Starco fics, which can be a bit too vanilla most of the time, especially when you get to parts where Star's otherworldly anatomy and quirks cause all sorts of problems and shenanigans!

Sort of like her muberty phase but she's stuck looking that way, and if you remember the show said there's a chance every Mewman actually COULD end up stuck in butterfly form! Super interesting! It reminds me a lot of the episode of Teen Titans(original) where Starfire was going through alien puberty, and how fun of an episode it was to watch. The fact that there's tons of Monster Star AU and Mewberty art out there helps a ton as well!

Steven Universe: Lapiven & Stevinel

Lapiven: These two are the perfect example of "cute sunshine boy X hot goth gf". Plain and simple, Steven's optimism is exactly what Lapis needed to begin working through what happened to her. And no one appreciates a cinnamon roll the way a scarred person does. Also, tell me they don't look like a couple everytime they're onscreen together? I mean really watch them! Blushing, giggling, constant eye contact, twinkling eyes, immediately responsive to each others change in mood, plenty physical contact, elation whenever Steven calls or visits.

You can call it platonic for the Shtewball, but Lapis adores Steven in every sense of the word! She warned him and negotiated his safety when she realized Homeworld would get involved. She held Jasper prisoner in her own head just to protect him. She faced her trauma and returned to confront the Diamonds, ready to put hands and feet on an enemy she knew she couldn't beat. And entirely because, to her, Steven's safety was more important than her own life! Weigh out those exact same scenarios, their exact same interactions with each other with just about any other two characters in animation and tell me it doesn't make sense? I swear most of their episodes together are just them going on dates!

Stevinel: Now this is special to me. On the opposite side of the scale Steven and Spinel share the same feelings of abandonment and inadequacy from and by Pink. Of course they aren't the only ones, but Spinel didn't raise Steven as a parent or sibling. There was no one better suited to empathize with Steven's issues, and his downward spiral into becoming a monster who hurts people.

What Spinel went through in the movie is too on the nose for what Steven goes through in Future, and I'm flabbergasted that the writers chose to have her be of little to no help when Steven needed to be shown that he didn't have to hold himself together on his own!

But back on topic. The other Gems love Steven, but Spinel is wired to love him just like Pearl, on top of whatever blooms between them naturally. So when those wires were damaged from Pink's abandonment, it's quite poetic that Steven is the one to mend them. From there It's as easy-peasy pink-heart-squeasy to assume the seeds of affection could sprout from such fertile ground. It also helps that Rebecca Sugar blatantly suggests Steven and Spinel's relationship isn't concretely platonic, at least for Spinel. Even going so far as to give us fan service!

Possibility is all that is needed for shippers and fanfictioneers to run wild with wishful thinking. I also might have a revenge boner for heartbroken characters who find happiness despite the tomfuckery done to them. "Pink abandoned me in her garden? Guess I'll have Steven frolicking in mine.

RWBY: Nora's Arc

Although I may grow enamored with other RWBY ships, I always come back to this one. It's just tons of fun! Responsible & Awkward meets Extroverted Hurricane, legally banned from IHOP and the Sloth exhibit at the zoo! Premium family man real estate meets poster girl for found family and there's no one better than Jaune-1-of-8-kids-Arc to get the job done!

I'm also of the mind that Nora's bombastic personality is meant to draw people to her, because she's absolutely terrified of being alone and left behind again. And with family gatherings at the Arc residence, isolation is all but nonexistent.

Wakfu: Yumalia

Dreams do come true! LET'S GOOO! Not much to say; they were set to be together from first sight and it was a rollercoaster from there. A lot like Aang and Katara, Yugo got his feisty princess and Amalia got her dashing hero. It's classic, it's timeless, and you love to see it done well!

The Dragon Prince: Rayllum

Obvious cuteness is obviously cute. It's nearly unheard of for the strange but exotic alien girl to be the one intrigued and smitten with the human boy. An action adventure fantasy but the non-human girl is the awkward one hiding her feelings? Sign me up! It's a breath of fresh air!

Sonic The Hedgehog: SilverWolf

The newest addition! Some fresh meat to sink my teeth into as I rekindle my love for the Sonic franchise! I haven't followed anything Sonic since the fever dream that was Sonic 06, but happened to see a few panels of Silver talking to what appeared to be a new character, Whisper the Wolf! Shy, soft spoken, but not from timidity, rather a desire to not scare others away because of her frightening features.

Pairing her with the very approachable and reassuring Silver makes for good chemistry in my opinion. I also adore Whisper's color scheme and the combination of silver, gold, and neon lights they have in a lot of comic panels together. They'd make a cute pair that's easy to reduce to a blushing mess with any little bit of teasing, and I'm here for it!

Y/n panted as their was a sudden hand covering her mouth as her parents practically bushed down the door. 

The glowing yellow canary eyes glowed softly as the being screamed in response "Shhh…they can't see me…we'll talk when they're gone" the dog looking being said before disappearing.

'Don't tell them you can see me…or else' the being smirked as its large sharp ears stood tall atop it's canine head , as she gulped. She jumped as her Dad burst into the room with a bat with a sock on the end as her mother ran in with whatever had been close in range ..which happened to be a pan as they looked around wildly “What happened N/n (Nickname/Little bug) ?” Y/n panted wildly “Oh..uhhh uh…fell asleep” she smiled sheepishly. As her parents hummed a bit awkwardly “Little bug…” Layla started before sitting on the edge of her bed “Are you okay ?” she asked softly as…Y/n thought briefly of her crazy day as the amulet burned her and tightened around her arm as she suddenly noticed it was digging into her palm as she winced .

Her mother…having been in the middle of a probably good inspirational speech quirked a brow “You okay , little bug ?” she winced “Oh yeah” she said her hand going under the blanket “You hand “ her mom stated without any room for argument as her Dad winced “Damn…and i thought my room was messy …and i was a boy” Layla snorted at Marcs words “She is your daughter , love” she huffed as her father hummed “I thought we concluded she was , Stevens” he smiled as Y/n huffed in annoyance “My rooms clean ! No dirty plates just-” Layla chuckled “Dirty clothes everywhere ... .I swear sometimes…you are the perfect carbon copy of your father…” she smiled, caressing her face affectionately “Hand” Y/n quirked a brow as she squirmed away, keeping her arm away …but…sadly…

Her Mom was not one for playing as she targeted Y/n’s known weakness….her 

sides. As she giggled her mother tickling her weak spots as she squealed trying to twist away as her mother frowned "How'd you cut yourself this deep ? And how are you so…" Layla frowned, sighing in frustration "C'mon…Marc get the first aid kit and meet us in the bathroom" she called as Y/n was practically dragged to the bathroom.

Y/n yawned sleepily as her mother inspected it "This is deep…how'd you do it ?" She shrugged "i had a shitty day..i tried telling you guys " she sighed before jumping briefly as bright canary eyes met her gaze in the mirror 'They cannot hear or see me…you see we share a bond…i'm indebted to you young one…and you've passed on of my tests for an avatar…a guardian !' the disembodied voice rumbled as she glanced at her Mom..who was in the middle of saying something that warranted a kiss on her cheek "You know baby…this baby…it…" she sighed "We love you very much…and your Dad realized how it might look…and it's not that" she reassured "It's not a replacement or ….." she zoned out again as the dog head thing flicked a ear 'Seems like they have conflicting emotions concerning you ..' the creature said it's fangs peeking out of it's grinning face.

Y/n was drawn out of her non-focus as her Dad hugged her….something that drew conflicting emotions….as it was meant to comfort but…it wasn't common for either of them. 

"Wait…so you guys had a party…and-" she gulped "Because you guys don't want me to feel like i'm being replaced and…or like this is " she sighed "This feels an awful lot like that it is what is happening and your trying to buy my silence" she glared crossing her arms as both of her parents stayed silent before her father spoke up "Baby , that's not-" she glared "I'm ..i." she walked away "I have one of miguel's textbooks…i must've grabbed it by accident..i'm gonna go drop it off" she sighed softly.

*20 mins later*

Miguel met her after a text as he was having his own issues.

"Can you fucking believe it ?! He took my mom's pay check and gambled it away!" Miguel huffed as he kicked a can of beer on the roof of their building. He was drinking like usual ...when he got into his step-dads stash as she sighed "I'm sorry , miggy. ……My mom's pregnant" she said flatly "And they threw a party! So i wouldn't get the wrong idea" she frowned deeply "…and they're gonna be around more now." Miguel curled a brow at that "Damn ... .you know…it's not the worst thing…you've got 2 years left…then we can do whatever we want" he chuckled.

"I've got 1 year left and I'm leaving ! I'm getting my own apartment and I'm gonna have a better car!" He smiled "And I'm bringing my mom and my little brother…we'll be happier without that douchebag" he sighed "And if you want…you can come too. You're already one of us , no? No dealing with that possibly annoying ass sibling" he smiled reassuringly .

Y/n was laying with Miguel on the roof..who had fallen asleep because his Step-Father had kicked him out for fighting about taking and gambling away his moms money. So sometimes…when her parents weren't home , she'd let him stay with her in the lonely and quiet apartment. And one thing that was always guaranteed was that Miguel always fell asleep with her…holding her to his chest. Which when they were younger was harmless…but now…becoming older…and their bodies changing it was different. 

She felt a confusing amount of mixed emotions for her best-friend. Today he'd cried…after venting about everything his step-father had done…how he'd beat him for actually trying to stand up to him. And Y/n felt bad earlier for bringing up her petty reasons for being mad at her parents…at least they didn't do that to her…they were absent at times but never cruel. 

So she'd offered her support and affection by holding him and saying nothing as he let it out. 

He'd fallen asleep like that as she dozed off………

The Morning 

Y/n woke up to a start as her Dad glared at her "Seriously ? You stayed out all night with a boy?!" She glared at that as he marched her to the stairs "Baby girl ! You know better ! Boys are just in it for one thing and-" she glared "Dad..it's not like that Miguel's my best-friend ! He lives next door too…he had a rough night!" She reasoned walking into their apartment.

Her mother was cooking breakfast as Her father chose not to drop it "I get that …and that's nice…but you have to be careful ! He's older than you and -" she was getting frustrated "Dad! It's not -Miguel..he has problems at home and-" her father wasn't having it "Don't get an attitude!  We were worried sick ! You were gone all night with him ! I was a kid like that and I don't want you getting mixed up in that. I get you wanting to help but…you never know- and we don't need you-...and we're not always home to watch out or …just because his parents don't care" he sighed "Marc-" her mom spoke up in warning as Y/n tensed at that.

"We're gonna have a baby …baby girl. We can't-....... you need to focus on school and-" her mother glared "Marc!!!"

"Wait…you think…" she paused at that…in anger and betrayal "You think i'm-....he has a girlfriend ... .you really" She sighed "Your one to talk ! You both are hardly home ! And you're gonna have a baby…maybe you'll actually love it and stay for it ! You won't leave for months at a time…....don't let me get in your way. I know it was an accident but you don't have to rub it in" she snapped as she stomped away and got ready….

She exited her room to see  her father getting lectured as they stopped talking. "Baby , your Dad has something to say" she said nothing "I'll see ya later mom…dad…maybe you'll be home. If not …i'll see you whenever the baby is born" she huffed grabbing her backpack and leaving for school.

The walk to school hurt…she didn't mean it all but at the same time she did. It was confusing as the voice returned 'That was brutal' the now clearer being walked beside her…it had the smooth head of a dog/jackal and the body of a woman as it flicked its ears 'Parents…am i right?' She chuckled softly as Y/n sighed softly 'not in the mood doggy' she huffed.

The creature paused tilting her head 'Oh ? I'm sure you could use a distraction…no?' The being smiled…it's sharp teeth on display 'Besides i have to explain our bond and terms of agreement' she chimed in a sing-songy voice.

As Y/n kept walking 'Sorry…not looking for a job' she huffed .

The dog was not deterred and kept bugging her 'C'mon kid! Let's talk shop! You work for me and I'll give you whatever your little heart desires ' Y/n quirked a brow 'Uhh no thanks. Sounds way too good to be true..and like low-key slavery….my spirit guide also warned me' the dog being snorted as she pouted 'And you're gonna listen to him?! Y/n rolled her eyes.

'He's my homie ! He used to give me cookies!!!' The dog growled in response 'I can give you cookies ! Just agree to help me!' She snarled 'Nah…sounds like too much work' Y/n giggled.

Eventually the being got annoyed and when she stopped to go potty and ended up staring at a swirling portal before her. She stared at the canine, arms crossed over her chest "Really?" She huffed.It only smiled gesturing for her to enter "Osiris himself has asked for your presence darling" she purred as she shoved her into the swirling mess of light.

On the other side of the portal Y/n was met by the Floor. As she fell face first into the hard sandy floor of a……….a….. ancient temple as the canine being walked through giggling . And was met imposing forms of human/animal hybrids. 

As they presented themselves as the Ancient  Egyptian Gods …….the ones her father Steven and her mother often told her of.

As the dog being glared silently at the council as the large man with crossed arms and teal skin sat on a throne as he glared down at her …she wasn’t sure what this avatar business as the being reached out and pulled her heart out of her chest as she stared in horror before the world went black around her……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Hoje viemos lembrar que é dia do livro e, como somos em maioria alunos do curso de letras, vamos questionar: afinal, para quê eu preciso de um livro?

O livro, na pior das hipóteses, vai fazer toda diferença! Ler é uma atividade importantíssima para todos os cidadãos, principalmente porque vivemos numa sociedade letrada, que se comunica através de códigos e símbolos, então, quanto mais eu leio, mais eu sei, mais eu consigo me virar nessa sociedade.

E do que um livro precisa? Um livro vai precisar de alguns elementos básicos, vamos listar aqui apenas dois importantes, um escritor e um leitor. O escritor tem que apresentar um conteúdo estimulante, interessante, que prenda a atenção e, de alguma forma, nos faça evoluir. O leitor deve mergulhar na leitura e se dedicar no envolvimento com a história e na apreensão do conteúdo.

A experiência com os livros está muito presente nas animações, muitos personagens são conhecidos por serem ávidos leitores e essa característica é vista como essencial em muitos momentos da trama.

Hoje vamos homenagear Jiraya de Naruto, que escreveu três volumes de um romance, aqueles livros que Kakashi está sempre lendo. Ele é um ninja famoso e poderoso e ainda teve tempo de escrever uma trilogia!

Steven e Connie de Steven Universo, eles dois são vistos em muitos episódios lendo sagas de fantasia. Sempre que eles têm dúvidas, pesquisam em um livro. Internet pra quê, né?

E Bela de A Bela e a Fera, dita como uma moça muito estranha em sua vila, desde o início do filme ela é vista com um livro. Ler a tornou muito mais do que bela, ela se tornou uma pessoa mais culta e inteligente, o que incomodava certos homens... (CofcofGastoncofcof) ainda bem que ela ficou com a fera, e ganhou dele uma biblioteca!

Jasper: O que foi? Meu diamante?

Steven: POR FAVOR! Eu só quero conversar. Como iguais. Por favor…

Jasper: Pra isso, você vai ter de se sujar. Agora que você está aqui, com a poeira, sobre o que você quer conversar?

Steven: Eu não consigo dormir. Tanta coisa aconteceu desde o meu- colapso. Todos estão me observando 24 horas por dia, mas- eu preciso me desculpar por como agi naquele dia. Você só estava tentando me ajudar e eu fiz o pior.

Jasper: Eu já falei, não se desculpe!

Steven: Por quê?

Jasper: Eu queria ver o potência total do seu poder e eu tive minha resposta. Você se deixou levar. Era o que eu queria.

Steven: Mas Jasper, eu-

Jasper: "Te estilhaçei"? Por que isso te incomoda?

Steven: Por que isso NÃO te incomoda?..

Jasper: Soldados são estilhaçados toda hora, Steven. É por isso que somos feitas. Para ganhar e substituir. Por isso a única coisa que eu NÃO entendo- É porquê você me trouxe de volta depois de conseguir o que queria.

Jasper: No momento em que uma gem é permitida a dar o seu máximo é quando ela mostra o que realmente quer. É absoluto. De cascalho até Diamante. Você pode dizer que não quis me estilhaçar, mas pelo seu olhar, algo quis.

Steven: E-eu não sei o que foi aquilo! Quer dizer, eu sei agora mas eu-

Jasper: Você não entende, então veio aqui. Como na última vez. Por que você continua voltando aqui em busca de respostas? É só pra isso que eu sirvo? Caso contrário, diga que não quer mais nada comigo

Steven: Não! Não é isso. Você é... a coisa mais distante do meu mundo que conheço. E você age como se fosse normal pra você. Então quando nada no meu mundo faz sentido, só faz sentido vir aqui.

Jasper: Bom, pelo menos concordamos em algo.

Steven: O que você quer dizer?

Jasper: Meu mundo também não faz mais sentido. Nada que minha diamante fez faz mais sentido. Colonizar um planeta para depois preservá-lo? Começar uma guerra apenas para perdê-la? Morrer para se tornar você? Eu fui feita para ganhar uma guerra gem por uma diamante com um poder tão destrutivo que as outras diamantes hesitaram em lhe dar uma colônia, pra começar. Uma diamante tão poderosa que uma palavra vinda dela poderia estilhaçar.

Jasper: A única vez que que você quase fez sentido foi no dia que você se soltou. Então, como todo o resto, sua colônia, sua côrte, seu status, sua forma, você me deixou de lado e seguiu em frente. Me disse para "arranjar uma coisa melhor pra fazer" quando minha vida toda eu estive lutando por você, meu Diamante.

Steven: Jasper me... Me desculpa-

Jasper: Estrelas, chega disso! Você fez o que queria o tempo todo! Mesmo essa forma humana! Até mesmo estar aqui agora. Até que você ENTENDA isso, essa conversa vai ser apenas uma perda de tempo para NÓS DOIS!

Steven: E-eu só... Eu fiz uma coisa horrível e eu não consigo dormir porquê isso continua voltando. E toda vez que eu vejo. Eu MORRO te medo porquê eu odeio como É BOM.

Jasper: VEM. Se vai começar com isso, faça aqui fora. Eu não quero que minha caverna seja destruída. Escute com atenção, Steven. É isso que você quer?

Steven: Não.

Jasper: Então FOQUE no que você quer.
