PLAYISM will publish Cyber Space Biotope-developed side-scrolling roguelike action game Million Depth, the companies announced. It will launch for PC via Steam in 2025.

About

Million Depth is a “deep-diving action strategy game” where Moma, a human girl from outer space, visits Earth to find her only friend, and dives into the million-floor deep underground world known as Naraka Akasha. As Moma, players will have to design and craft their own original weapons and engage in strategic time-freezing battles to survive the hostile environment of Naraka Akasha in order to reach the bottom and uncover the true identity of Moma’s elusive friend. To Moma, left drifting all alone in space, messaging her Earth friend was the only thing that kept her going. After all of her dearest crewmates died from a virus, the only thing to do was the daily aptitude test. But as long as Moma could imagine the scenery of Earth as described by her friend, she managed to live through the boredom and solitude of life on the ship. “This will be my last message. I’m sorry. Thank you.” Her friend never sent another message, but Moma knows where they are—a million-floor deep abyss known as Naraka Akasha, the only place on Earth fit for human survival. Even though she has no idea what they look like, Moma decides to dive into the underground world in search of her only friend…

Strategically Craft Your Own Weapons and Shields

Million Depth has a crafting system where you can freely combine blocks to build your very own original weapons and shields. Every creation has different offensive and defensive abilities depending on its shape and materials used, and combining the same type of block can create parts that have special effects. Editing your weapons and shields and working towards the best creations for your playstyle through trial and error only gets more enjoyable as the going gets tougher.

Mind-Boggling Time-Freezing Battles

When Moma moves, so does the enemy, but when Moma stops, the enemy stops too. In this time-freezing battle system, you will engage in hectic, overwhelming battles… one physical step at a time. Every enemy attack and the power of each attack is clearly shown on-screen, which means you can take your time to analyze the situation and deal with them one by one. The key to winning is using your brain every step of the way to make the best decisions.

Deep-Diving Exploration

Naraka Akasha is very, very deep, and floors can either be completely empty or swarming with dangerous creatures. Scanning the upcoming areas is crucial to effective exploration, and by doing so you can choose between a wide variety of floors. Will you face off against hostile creatures, trade at a shop, expand your crafting abilities, recover some health, or gather much-needed resources? Dive deeper and deeper into the abyss and aim for floors of civilization, locations strongly connected to the secrets of the story.

What Awaits at the Bottom?

Depending on what floors you visit as well as other criteria, you will reach one of multiple story endings. What’s more, over multiple playthroughs, NPCs will act differently, and you might even be able to affect Momas from different worlds…

Million Depth is a game where Moma, a girl who drifted in space all alone, explores an underground world over a million levels deep in order to reach her one and only friend—“you.” The weapon crafting system where you can freely design your own weapons and the unique battle system where enemies only move when you do are closely tied to each other. I’m striving to make a system that encourages “crafting for battle” as much as possible. I’m also working hard on the sci-fi story with the theme of parallel worlds, and on the meaty details of the mysterious underground world, so please look forward to it!

I see two ads. one features an anime lady giving bedroom eyes, and the other promoting gambling. *record scratch*

anime ad? googled "naraka," it's a game on steam. Rated T, for teen. same as flight rising.

gambling ad? nah, that's for progressive insurance. didn't even have to google this one. it's a visual bit, telling us to "scratch off the savings!" and displaying a scratch-off lotto ticket.

while anime boobs and gambling are not acceptable/appropriate/enjoyable for me to see, what is directly being advertised is... fine? i think?

The character customization is a fucking joke, they dont have shit for skintones, and the lightest one is a fucking joke, the darker skin tones are better , but even then theres not much in variety, even when I toggle all skin tones on.

There's not even any way to change facial proportions in a roleplaying game...

The makeup options are also pathetic. Tell me why I can't have different colored eyeliners and eyeshadow, and there's a distinct lack of choices in the lip department.

Maybe it's just the fact that my friend overhyped the character creation, maybe its the fact that I already was starting to feel like shit when I opened the character creator, but opening it was a disapointment like no other.

I spent a grand total of around 45 minutes looking at the options in pure shock and trying to find the sliders after people hyped up the character creation with "its so in depth it has genital options and heterochromia"

And when i tried to make it work I was met with more disapointment as I could do fuck all with my options, since as recently stated, they didn't even have anything close to my skintone.

And then for heterochromia the eyes were extremely limited.

And for some FUCKING REASON i heard people calling is "Renaissance fair sims'" like what?

Safe to say its been refunded, I'll probably just give Naraka all my money or or something, thats if steam accepts a refund.

O investimento da Sony em uma “estratégia mais agressiva” de levar seus jogos para os computadores parece cada vez mais justificável. Os números de jogadores nos PCs não para de crescer. Segundo dados da SteamDB, o número de players simultâneos na Steam bateu um novo recorde neste domingo (3), com mais de 34,6 milhões de pessoas conectadas ao mesmo tempo.

Desde janeiro, a plataforma vem registrando marcos importantes. O recorde anterior era de 34,2 milhões – estatística que foi igualada no último sábado (2). O dado exato deste novo pico é de 34.649.583 usuários.

Counter-Strike 2 segue bastante popular, garantindo incríveis 1,4 milhões de simultâneos nas últimas 24 horas. Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends e Helldivers 2 também se mostraram populares, registrando respectivamente 727.000, 638.000, 455.000 e 429.000 jogadores ao mesmo tempo. Naraka: Bladepoint, Palworld e Last Epoch também registraram mais de 200.000 usuários.

Naraka Bladepoint’s best new feature lets you unleash ball-based chaos

I've developed a new interest in Naraka Bladepoint, and it's so enjoyable that it prevents me from actually standing in queue for the battle royale game. With the release of the Fairyland Penglai update in July, Naraka Bladepoint added a magnificent new lobby area chock-full of activities to commemorate being free-to-play. However, one of these in particular has given me an excessive amount of happiness. Naraka Bladepoint is now free, and has seen a huge surge on Steam following its transition to the new model. If you’ve jumped in to find out what all the fuss is about, you might’ve spent some time wandering around the gorgeous Fairyland Penglai zone to see what’s happening. There’s parkour races, instruments to play, all manner of custom emotes and gestures, and a rather robust photo mode. All of that pales in comparison to the real entertainment, however. That’s right, it’s time for balls. Dotted around the map are several squishy, yellow balls with goofy faces painted on them. Run up to one and interact with it, and you become a giant ball yourself, letting you roll and bounce around the area in delightful fashion. The real delight, though, is that in ball form you can send other players tumbling in the air, flying booty over elbow, and that makes you a veritable wrecking ball of chaos. And I can’t stop doing it.
