Honorable Mentions by Year

In this second of three installments, 2003 had the most entries with 20. 2004 and 2005 had 17 each. Looking back, the years 1936 and 1993 also had 20 honorable mentions.

Looking ahead, the third installment will be the years 2009-20, which will be followed by the most recent entries to the best 1001 movies and the most recent honorable mentions.

In the final installment, two more titles from 2003 were added, giving the year 22 honorable mentions, more than any other year,

Page 5. ---- Both Found Critically Injured When Children Hear Shots in Home ---- By Canadian Press TILLSONBURG, Ont., Dec. 1 - Mrs. Roy L. Angell, wife of the Canadian National Railways station agent at Otterville, died shortly after nine o'clock this morning from head wounds allegedly inflicted by her husband early yesterday afternoon. Angell, who turned a 22-calibre revolver on himself immediately after, in the presence of their two daughters, died at midnight. Both died in hospital here, where they were taken after the police had learned of the shooting. FOLLOWED WIFE Police said Angell followed his wife upstairs at their home after a disagreement and shot her in the temple with a 22 revolver, then fired a shot into his head. He asked his wife to return with him to the station after lunch but she said she had other plans. Breaking short the argument, Mrs. Angell ran upstairs. Her husband. followed her and a few minutes later, a daughter, Velma, 18, heard a dull thud. She raced upstairs and found her father standing over Mrs. Angell with a revolver in his hand. She pleaded with Angell to help her lift her mother, who was bleeding from a bullet wound in the temple. HEARS SHOT Angell left the hail and went into the bedroom. His daughter heard a shot and found him sprawled backwards over the bed. The younger sister, Lois, ran to the nearby office of Dr. Batson for medical assistance. Dr. Batson ordered the couple's immediate removal to Tillsonburg Hospital by ambulance. The Angell family moved to this town about nine years ago. Mrs. Angell was well-known as a vocalist at Otterville United Church.

ouuguuh … it would be cool if lik (going off the tags of this post) … there was a story reason as for why all the pokemon are attracted to the gear station :3 maybe theres a super ancient pokemon beneath (or somethinng similar IDK ! THEY GOT XURXITREE HOOKED UP TO THE WIRES annd its lik ghost stories lik Oooh theres emptty trains ! and spice is lik Thats not me doing it .) like its SOMETHING tahts drawing them there , whether it be another pokemon or some sort of life force or energy

THOUGHTS .... Okay giratina specifically loves trains for whatever reason and starts hanging around railyards as soon as they get invented and protects the trains from harm, seeing them as part of it's 'hoard.' Even though it's ??? weird at first the railroad workers eventually just accept Giratina's presence since it's not harming the rails or anything and it eventually becomes kindof the patron saint of trains, later becoming an influence for the design of some trains and Giratinism kindof just becomes a slightly ironic tradition for railway workers .

--> Giratina eventually hibernates in an abandoned tunnel in gear station (possibly unbeknownst to Ingo & Emmet) which attracts a lot of various types of pokemon to the area . Some of which start working at the station

Ingo and Dera have verrry different ideas on how to handle a few grunts up to no good. Nothing that can't be resolved in a safety meeting....right-

Been thinking on the afterlives of the party:

I mean Shadowheart is faithful, so Gates of the Moon or Palace of Night (unless Shar is feeling stupid and short-sighted again and wants to lessen her own power by abandoning a powerful faithful soul).

Halsin is faithful and an elf, most likely to go to Arvandor but could get claimed by Silvanus.

Mystra is willing to claim Gale, if he's still mortal, so it's up to him.

Karlach's been praying to gods such as Lathander and Selune as she approaches death, and the gods do take deathbed conversions from compatible mortals, so she could potentially end up with Shadowheart. Cleric characters can also pray with her, so she could go with a Tav.

Wyll's so incredibly lapsed/areligious that you wouldn't call him faithful, but he acts in accordance with the teachings of the Triad, so I'm pretty sure that gives them a potential 'in' if he takes it.

Lae'zel is faithless (Vlaakith is not a god). She can easily dodge that by just not dying on Toril though.

Minthara: false false false false

Astarion is not only faithless but pointedly so. As an elf he theoretically has a foot in the door to Arvandor, but considering his relationship with the Seldarine is probably terrible...

Durge is either Bhaal's faithful or false, and as a Bhaalspawn should go to Gehenna regardless, though Jergal apparently has called dibs and they could seek another faith if we ignore that second bit. There are lots of gods you can pray to in this game. Most of them evil! Shar, Loviatar, Bane... most of them are Bhaal's co-workers, so you can sort of end up in the afterlife where your estranged and pissy dad usually lives and works.

Anyone who undergoes ceremorphosis might have 'property of Ilsensine' stamped on them...?

The Wall of the Faithless has been struck from SCAG errata, apparently, so I guess anybody who doesn't have a place in the afterlife (statistically; Minthara, likely Astarion, maybe Durge and Wyll) is going to be getting a job in one of the most boring cities on the planes, False or Faithless. At least there are occasional invasions from the Abyss, weird politicking with devils, and Jergal sometimes secretly sends souls out into the planes as undead on missions, so it could get interesting sometimes...

(All of this assuming that Jergal doesn't flat out claim any or all of them and fudge the reports the way he casually omits usage of undead from them when he hands them in to Kelemvor. Still comes out to the same result though.)

(There is the question of whether the personality is going to stay intact once they're dead, and what position you get; Myrkul's petitioners sometimes got to be 'princes' of sections of the City, while others were just faceless, identity-less wraiths wandering aimlessly. Cyric turned his into weird monsters who also didn't really remember who they were... The gods get to decide whether you keep your personality or not.)

Speaking of; Myrkul's domain is presumably still within the City of Judgement, so Ketheric is probably there! Dunno about your Tavs or Durge but mine is going to have a beautiful reunion if the idiot ever dies and ends up on the Fugue and Ketheric still has his memories and personality. Eternal punishment: spending eternity continuing the hell that was having this brat/this annoying old fuck as a co-worker.

More fun: maybe Myrkul still has an avatar there! That's not going to be awkward At All. Repeatable boss battles!

Peter Dinklage as Finbar McBride in The Station Agent (2003). Pete was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and has 84 acting credits from Living in Oblivion (another honorable mention) to 2023. His entry among my best 1001 movies is Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri. His third honorable mention is Elf. Pete has four Emmy awards for 67 episodes of Game of Thrones.

His other notable credits include an episode of Oz, The Baxter, X Men: Days of Future Passed, a voice in The Angry Birds Movie, Avengers: Infinity War, My Dinner with Herve, The Angry Birds Movie 2, Cyrano (a singing role), and a voice in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Depot family doodles!

Some of them have known each other for longer than they remember! Isadore and Furze knew each other briefly as kids, but Isadore has completely forgotten. Jackie has worked a long time in Gear Station, though no one seems to remember that either.

Cloud and Ramses are old enough to have known the twins when they were really young, so I imagine when they became the bosses it was sometimes hard to take them seriously. Though in general, Cloud views most of her coworkers as if they are juniors, whether it’s affectionately or not.

Don’t take the Jackie no-face comic too seriously. I just drew it for sillies.
