𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 – GAVI
warnings. p in v sex, public s3x (there’s no one around), jealous!gavi, & an annoying teammate
summary. academic rival!gavi makes sure you only have room for one nerd in your life
a/n. part two of comfort zone. tysm for the idea @gavisuntiedboot 🫶🏽
the sound of your professor’s voice filled the room as he explained your next assignment. you simultaneously put away your notes and listened carefully as this next project would be worth twenty percent of your grade. you were already laying out the details of your work as the professor continued to describe the assignment.
“there is one twist to this project. you’ll be working with a partner.” his words made you freeze. “and before you ask yes i will be choosing your partner for you.”
the room was filled with groans at his last comment, many of your classmates upset that they wouldn’t be working with their friends. meanwhile your eyes searched the room until they locked with a certain brunette. gavi had been looking forward to asking you to be his partner and now he was simply hoping the professor had decided to put you two together.
“mrs. y/l/n and mr. moretti you’ll be working together.” your professor says as he crushes gavi’s hopes and dreams.
franco moretti had arrived last semester from turin when his father took over as head of the marketing department for sevilla fc. he was also the teammate gavi despised the most due to them playing in the same position and because he would always insult him in words he didn’t understand. you scan the room to search for the argentine spotting him all the way at the end of the room looking at something else on his laptop. you sigh in frustration wondering if this project would be the reason your grade goes down.
as soon as class ends you make your way towards the blonde hoping to introduce yourself and get the project over with. he instantly notices you offering you one of his flirty smirks.
“bueno…” he starts. “we’re partners right?”
“uh, yeah. i just came to introduce myself-”
“i know who you are.” he interrupts you. “well i only know you’re like the smartest kid in our class.”
“i wouldn’t say that.” your cheeks heat up at his words.
“no need to be humble. your face along with his-” he points towards gavi. “is plastered all over the school. i’ve got to say i am very impressed by how you manage to do sports and somehow maintain your grades so high at the same time. but you probably just want to talk about our project.”
“uhm, thank you?” you can’t help but laugh at the interaction. “oh, yeah. i just wanted to ask if you have any certain topics you want to make our project about?”
“well i’ve got to get to practice in like five minutes or else coach will make me run five miles around the whole school. do you maybe want to meet up at the library later to discuss it? say around four?” he says as he packs up this things.
“yeah, that’s fine. i’ll see you there.” you smile awkwardly not sure if you should look forward to seeing him later or not.
you stay behind a couple of minutes going over some of your notes with the professor making sure you got everything right. you couldn’t afford to risk your spot in the rankings for a small error. grabbing your stuff you make way towards the library hoping to get some free time to study for your next psych exam before meeting up with franco. although, you don’t expect to find gavi waiting for you outside the door.
“he totally thinks you’re hot.” he simply blurts out.
“nice to see you too pablo.” you say sarcastically. “why are you blessing me with your presence today?”
“i bless you with my presence everyday.” he says as he begins following you to wherever it is you’re going. “so, you and franco…”
“me and franco aren’t even friends if that’s what you’re wondering.” you roll your eyes. “why do you even hate him so much?”
“i don’t hate him.” you simply stare at him. “okay maybe i do just a little but it’s reasonable.”
“you hate him because his dad works for sevilla and he’s slowly climbing up through the rankings. i’m not sure i would call that reasonable.” you say as you open the doors to the library. you’re grateful there’s barely anyone in there, you don’t enjoy being around large groups.
“whatever.” he huffs. “do you think he’s cute?”
you pause in your tracks turning towards gavi. the top button of his dress shirt unbuttoned and his red tie on the verge of coming loose. he looked quite good and a part of you just wanted to go home already.
“are you jealous pablito?” you tease him.
“me? jealous of a benchwarmer? please. not only am i better than him athletically but also academically. there’s no reason for me to be jealous.” he scoffs at the ridiculous idea.
“okay so you won’t have a problem with me studying with him later in here right? you totally didn’t follow me to the library just to make sure i didn’t find him attractive right?” you ask him as you press the button on the wall to get an elevator. you loved that each floor was dedicated to a different genre of books.
“why would i have a problem? i’m the only one making you cum anyways.” his words catch you off guard. you look around making sure no one else has heard him.
“pablo!” you hit his chest and you expect him to just laugh but he only stares at you. his eyes darker than before. he pulls you towards the end of the nonfiction section where there’s barely any light and a bunch of books that haven’t been read in years. how romantic.
“but maybe he’ll get lucky and you’ll spread your legs for him. give him a good view and everything.” he drags his hand to the middle of your legs opening up your legs.
you can feel his breath on your neck as he moves your hand from your thighs to your core teasing you. you completely forget where you are as he leaves love bites all over your neck. the pleasure intensifying as teases you by running his hands along your core but not getting them under your panties to touch you.
“and maybe he’ll hear those sinful noises you make as he drags his fingers along your folds.” you whine as pablo spreads your wetness around your folds with his fingers.
“but maybe you’ll be desperate to have him inside you to feel full again. so you’ll simply move these to the side.” he moves your panties to the side giving him full access to your dripping core. “and take him in you like the good girl you are.”
you help him undo his belt eager to have him fuck you already. his button down shirt losing some of its buttons in the process. the two of you so needy to finally come together like a puzzle to care about what happens next. he finally manages to pull out his hard aching dick out and he doesn’t waste another minute as he brings it to your needy hole.
“and then he’ll drag it along your folds teasing you even more. but after a couple of minutes he begins to insert himself until he fills you- oh fuck.” he groans as he enters you. “and your walls squeeze him as he pleasures you.”
“please pablo.” you beg him as one of your hands digs into his soft brown hair and the other into his shoulder at the feeling of his slow sensual thrusts.
“please what princess?” his voice sounds so out of breathe.
“faster please. fuck.” his length hits you in spots you didn’t know were possible. you can barely contain your moans and pablo simply hopes you get louder.
then you hear it the sound of the elevator doors opening for the end of the long hallway. you think you’re imagining it at first since pablo doesn’t notice it kissing you as he fucks you dumb. then you hear the loud footsteps and you panic they’re heading right towards the two of you.
“pablo. there’s someone here.” he can barely comprehend a word you’re saying as he watches how you take him so well. almost like your pussy was made just for him.
“pablo stop.” then he listens scared he crossed some boundaries and hurt you. he immediately steps away from you the two of you groaning at the loss of contact.
“fuck sorry. are you okay? did i-”
“no, you didn’t do anything wrong it’s okay. there’s someone here though. get dressed.” you say as you fix your hair and skirt.
meanwhile pablo isn’t so lucky and he can hardly button his pants when franco himself shows up. the argentine tries hardest to stop himself from laughing at his teammate but he barely can as he looks at pablo’s disheveled hair. although, you look perfectly fine so he tries to figure out why pablo looks so messy.
“bro you look like you got dressed in the dark what happened?” franco stifles a laugh.
“caught him getting frisky with one of the librarians.” you blurt out wanting to tease him.
“no way? but they’re all over thirty- oh don’t tell me you’re into milfs. kinky shit bro.” franco somehow believes your lie.
“fuck you.” gavi directs at you before being invaded by his teammate with more questions.
the next couple of minutes gavi tries his best to get his teammate to shut up and convince him that you were lying. that he simply had fallen asleep during class because he’d already studied the topic at home which was quite believable. the three of you chatted before gavi had to make his way towards the field to make up for missing practice earlier. although he spends all five miles grinning like a little shit because he’d be willing to run them all over again as long as it meant getting franco the furthest away from you. he was hoping you’d only have time for one academically gifted athlete.

UNEXPECTED - R. MCGROARTY
paring: rutger mcgroarty x fem! reader

I never thought I'd find myself in this situation. Of all the people in the University of Michigan, why did it have to be Rutger McGroarty? I mean, the guy was a hockey legend, scoring goals left and right on the ice and having his face plastered all over campus posters. But off the ice? Let's just say, we were like oil and water.
It all started in Professor Williams' Advanced Statistics class. We were assigned a semester-long project that would contribute a significant portion to our final grades. The catch? We had to work in pairs, and Professor Williams, in his infinite wisdom, decided to pair me up with Rutger. Great.
I slumped in my seat, trying to disappear into the lecture hall's worn-out upholstery as Professor Williams announced the pairings. When he finally called out, "Y/N and Rutger McGroarty," I felt like the entire room turned to look at me, probably to see my reaction. And what was my reaction? Pure dread.

The first meeting was a disaster. Rutger strolled in wearing his Michigan hockey team jacket, a smug grin plastered on his face as he tossed his bag onto the table. "So, statistics, huh? Should be easy," he remarked, barely looking at the project guidelines I had painstakingly printed out.
I shot him a skeptical look. "Easy for you, maybe. I'm not exactly a math whiz."
He chuckled, "Don't worry, I'll handle the numbers. You can handle... whatever it is you're good at."
I rolled my eyes. "Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence."
As the weeks passed, our project meetings evolved into something entirely unexpected. Rather than focusing solely on statistics and data analysis, our time together became a battleground of differing opinions and clashing personalities. Rutger, with his competitive spirit, always seemed eager to take the lead, often making decisions without even glancing in my direction.
One evening, as we were deep in discussion about our data collection methods, Rutger leaned over the table, his eyes locked onto mine with a mischievous glint. "You know, Y/N," he said, a playful smirk playing on his lips, "I think we should use my method. After all, it's tried and tested."
I raised an eyebrow, not amused by his arrogance. "And what about my method? Have you even considered it?"
He chuckled softly, leaning even closer, his voice low and flirty, "Teamwork? I thought you were just here to witness my brilliance."
I groaned internally, rolling my eyes at his audacity. How had I ended up with such an arrogant project partner?

During another one of our study sessions, tensions reached a boiling point. We were deep in a heated debate about the interpretation of our data, and Rutger's competitive nature was once again on full display. He suddenly stood up, towering over me with his imposing hockey player physique, making the small study room feel even more cramped.
"I still think my approach is better," he declared, his tone dripping with confidence and assertiveness.
I let out a deep sigh, trying to keep my frustration in check. "Rutger, can you please just listen to what I'm saying? This is a group project, remember? We're supposed to work together, not against each other."
He smirked, his eyes locking onto mine as he leaned down to my level, his face mere inches from mine. The audacity of his flirty demeanor in the midst of our disagreement only added to my irritation.
"Oh, I'm listening, Y/N," he said, his voice low and teasing, "I'm just waiting for you to see things my way."
I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks as I pushed my chair back, creating some much-needed distance between us. "Unbelievable," I muttered under my breath, shaking my head in exasperation.
Rutger leaned against the table, his smirk never wavering. "Come on, Y/N," he coaxed, his tone playful, "Admit it, you're starting to see the brilliance of my ideas, aren't you?"
I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the fluttering in my stomach caused by his relentless flirting. "Rutger, this isn't a game. We need to work together and find a solution that we both agree on."
He chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Alright, alright, I'll try to be more open-minded," he conceded, though the playful glint in his eyes suggested he was far from giving up on his competitive stance.
As we continued to work on our project, Rutger suddenly changed the subject, "Hey, Y/N, are you free this Friday night?"
Caught off guard by the sudden change in topic, I looked up from my notes, "Um, yeah, why?"
Rutger's smirk returned, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "Great! How about coming to one of my hockey games? It's a big one, and I'd love for you to be there."
I hesitated for a moment, surprised by his invitation. "I... I don't know, Rutger. I'm not really into hockey."
Rutger leaned in closer, his flirty demeanor returning full force. "Come on, it'll be fun! Plus, you get to see me in action. Who knows, you might even become a fan."
Despite my reservations, I couldn't help but feel intrigued. Rutger's passion for hockey was evident, and the idea of seeing him play, seeing a different side of him outside of our intense study sessions, was tempting.
"Alright," I finally conceded, a small smile playing on my lips, "I'll come to your game."
Rutger's face lit up with a triumphant grin. "Great! You won't regret it, I promise."

The rest of the week flew by, and before I knew it, Friday night had arrived. I found myself at the university's ice rink, surrounded by enthusiastic fans wearing Michigan's colors and cheering for the team. The atmosphere was electric, with the excitement palpable in the air.
As the players took to the ice for warm-ups, I spotted Rutger, effortlessly gliding across the rink, his focus and determination evident. I had to admit, seeing him in his element was impressive. His skill and passion for the game were undeniable, and I found myself getting caught up in the excitement of the atmosphere.
Just as the game was about to begin, Rutger glanced up and spotted me in the stands. A wide smile spread across his face, and he waved enthusiastically in my direction. I waved back, feeling a warm flush of pride at his acknowledgment. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me.
My friends, who had accompanied me to the game, noticed Rutger's friendly wave and looked at me with surprise. "Wait, did Rutger just smile and wave at you?" one of them asked, her eyebrows raised in disbelief.
I chuckled, nodding in response. "Yeah, I guess he did. He asked me to come tonight."
My friends exchanged amused glances, clearly intrigued by the unexpected turn of events. "Wow, Y/N," another friend teased, "I didn't know you and Rutger had become so chummy. What's next, joining the hockey fan club?"
I laughed, rolling my eyes at their playful teasing. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I don't even like him like that."
My friends exchanged knowing glances, clearly amused by my defensive response. "We never said you liked him like that," one of them teased with a smirk.
I felt my cheeks heat up, realizing I might have been a bit too quick to clarify. "Well, I just meant... you know," I stammered, trying to find the right words. "He's a good teammate and all, but it's not like that between us."
Another friend chuckled, nudging me playfully. "Sure, sure, Y/N. Whatever you say. But we saw that smile on your face when he waved at you. Admit it, you enjoyed being his special guest at the game tonight."
I rolled my eyes again, but this time with a smile. "Okay, okay, maybe I had more fun than I expected. But that doesn't mean anything's changed between us. We're still just project partners."
My friends laughed, clearly unconvinced by my attempts to downplay the evening's significance. "Alright, Y/N," one of them said, holding up their hands in mock surrender. "We'll let you off the hook for now. But don't be surprised if we start seeing you at more hockey games in the future."

After the game, as I waited for Rutger outside the locker room, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected experience. Despite our rocky start and the constant challenges we faced during our project, I had gained a newfound appreciation for Rutger and his passion for hockey.
When Rutger finally emerged from the locker room, still in his gear but looking exhilarated, he flashed me a wide grin. "So, what did you think?" he asked, his tone hopeful.
I smiled back, genuinely impressed. "You were amazing, Rutger. I never realized how exciting hockey could be."
His grin widened, his eyes shining with happiness. "Told you, you might become a fan."
As Rutger and I began to walk away from the locker room, we were approached by two of his teammates, Ethan and Mark, both still in their Michigan hockey gear. They wore playful grins, clearly having spotted our interaction earlier.
"Hey, Rutger," Ethan began with a teasing tone, nudging Mark with his elbow. "Is this your girlfriend?"
Mark joined in on the joke, winking at me. "Yeah, Rutger, you didn't tell us you were bringing your special someone to the game tonight."
Rutger chuckled, rolling his eyes at his teammates' antics but not seeming entirely surprised by their teasing. "Very funny, guys," he said, his tone light and amused. He glanced over at me, offering a reassuring smile. "Ignore them, Y/N. They just can't resist a good joke."
I laughed, brushing off the playful teasing with a wave of my hand. "Don't worry, I'm not taking it seriously. But thanks for inviting me tonight, Rutger. I had a great time."
Ethan and Mark exchanged knowing glances, their grins widening. "Anytime, Y/N," Ethan said with a teasing tone. "You're always welcome to come and cheer for us... and for Rutger, of course."
Mark nodded in agreement, his playful demeanor still intact. "Yeah, maybe next time we'll even get you to wear a Michigan jersey... with Rutger's number on it."
I chuckled, shaking my head at their persistent teasing. "We'll see about that," I replied, glancing over at Rutger, who was still smiling despite his teammates' antics.
As we continued to walk towards the exit, Rutger's playful demeanor returned. "I hope they weren't too much for you," he said, his tone light.
I shrugged, smiling back at him. "They're just having some fun. I can handle a little teasing."
Rutger grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Good to know. And thanks again for coming tonight, Y/N. I'm glad you enjoyed the game."
I nodded, feeling genuinely grateful for the unexpected experience. "Me too, Rutger. It was a great game, and you played exceptionally well."
His smile widened, and for a moment, the playful, competitive edge that had defined so much of our project seemed to fade away, replaced by a genuine warmth and camaraderie.

The day had finally arrived to wrap up our project, and Rutger and I found ourselves in the university library, huddled over our laptops and notes. The tension in the room was undenible, not just from the looming deadline, but also from the lingering awkwardness between us.
As we worked on the final touches, I noticed Rutger's eyes drifting from his laptop to me more than a few times. Each time our eyes met, he quickly looked away, but I couldn't help but feel his gaze on me.
"Is everything okay, Rutger?" I finally asked, breaking the silence that had settled between us.
Rutger looked up, seeming caught off guard by my question. "Uh, yeah, sorry about that," he stammered, running a hand through his hair. "I was just thinking about the project, that's all."
I raised an eyebrow, not entirely convinced by his explanation. "You seem distracted. Are you sure there's nothing else on your mind?"
Rutger hesitated, his gaze meeting mine once again. This time, he didn't look away immediately, and I could see a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. "Honestly, Y/N," he began, his voice softer than usual, "I've been meaning to say something."
I felt my heart skip a beat, curious and slightly apprehensive about what he was about to say. "Go on," I urged, setting aside my work to give him my full attention.
Rutger took a deep breath, his eyes searching mine. "I just wanted to say thank you," he said, his tone sincere. "Despite our differences and the challenges we've faced, you've stuck by me and put in the effort to make this project a success. I really appreciate it."
I was taken aback by his honesty, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. "You're welcome, Rutger," I replied, smiling genuinely at him. "Despite our disagreements, I think we made a pretty good team in the end."
Rutger grinned, his eyes lighting up. "Yeah, we did," he agreed, his gaze lingering on me a moment longer than necessary. "And for the record," he added, his tone teasing, "I wasn't just staring at you because you're distracting. I was also trying to figure out how to ask you out after we finish this project."
I chuckled, caught off guard by his candidness but also intrigued by his confession. "Oh, really?" I responded, raising an eyebrow playfully. "And here I thought you were just lost in thought about the project."
Rutger laughed, his grin widening as he leaned back in his chair. "Well, the project was definitely on my mind, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also thinking about what comes next."
I felt a warmth spread through me, a mix of surprise and excitement at his bold admission. "Well, now that the project is done," I replied, my voice tinged with amusement, "I guess you have your answer, don't you?"
His eyes met mine, the playful glint replaced by something softer, more genuine. "I do," he said, his voice low and sincere. "So, what do you say, Y/N? Would you like to go out with me?"
I smiled, feeling a sense of anticipation and curiosity about where this unexpected connection might lead. "I'd like that, Rutger," I answered, my own voice softening.
Rutger's smile was infectious, his eyes shining with happiness as he stood up, extending a hand towards me. "Great," he said, his tone light but sincere. "How about dinner tomorrow night? We can celebrate our successful project and whatever this is."
I accepted his hand, standing up to meet his gaze. "Dinner sounds perfect," I replied, feeling a flutter of excitement at the prospect of getting to know Rutger beyond the confines of our project.

I sat across from Rutger at a quaint French bistro nestled in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. The restaurant had a warm and intimate atmosphere, with soft lighting, rustic wooden tables, and a hint of romantic charm in the air. It was our first official date since wrapping up our project, and I was both nervous and excited.
Rutger was in the middle of sharing a funny anecdote from one of his hockey games when the door to the bistro opened, and in walked Ethan and Mark. My heart sank as I saw them, and I could feel my cheeks flush with embarrassment. Of all the restaurants in Ann Arbor, they had to walk into the one where Rutger and I were having our date?
Ethan and Mark spotted us almost immediately and made their way over, their grins widening as they approached our table. Rutger looked up, clearly surprised to see his teammates, but his expression quickly turned amused as he saw Ethan and Mark's cheeky smiles.
"Hey, Rutger," Ethan began with a teasing tone, leaning against the back of an empty chair at our table. "Fancy seeing you here."
Mark chimed in, winking at me, "And with Y/N, no less. Who would've thought?"
Rutger chuckled, clearly unfazed by his teammates' interruption. "What are you guys doing here?"
Ethan shrugged, still grinning. "We knew you two would finally get together. Just wanted to see it with our own eyes."
I felt my cheeks grow even hotter, wishing the floor would swallow me up. Rutger, however, seemed to find the situation amusing.
"Alright, alright," Rutger said, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "You've had your fun. Now, give us some space, will you?"
Mark chuckled, raising his hands in mock defense. "Alright, alright. We'll leave you two lovebirds alone. But remember, Rutger, you owe us for this."
Ethan nodded in agreement, pointing a finger at Rutger. "Yeah, don't forget it."
With one last round of playful teasing and laughter, Ethan and Mark finally retreated, leaving Rutger and me at our table, slightly flustered but also laughing at the unexpected turn of events.
Rutger shook his head, grinning at me. "I'm sorry about that, Y/N. My teammates can be a bit... overbearing."
I chuckled, feeling more at ease now that the awkward encounter was behind us. "It's okay, Rutger. It was bound to happen eventually, right?"
He smiled, reaching across the table to take my hand. "Absolutely. And who knows, maybe we should thank them. Their little interruption broke the ice, so to speak."
I laughed, feeling grateful for Rutger's easygoing nature and his ability to turn a potentially awkward situation into a moment of shared laughter.
"Maybe you're right," I agreed, squeezing his hand in return. "After all, it wouldn't be a true Michigan experience without a little interference from your teammates."
Rutger grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Exactly. So, where were we before we were so rudely interrupted?"
I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through me as I remembered the conversation we had been having before Ethan and Mark's unexpected arrival. "You were about to tell me about that overtime goal you scored last week."
Rutger's face lit up, and as he launched back into his story, I found myself once again captivated by his passion for hockey and his infectious enthusiasm. Despite the awkward interruption, our date was turning out to be more enjoyable than I had anticipated, and I was grateful for the unexpected twist that had made our evening even more memorable.

Community Service (pt.1)
Class 1A has gotten a bit cocky with all the pro hero work they've been doing. To reconnect with their local community, each pair of students must complete 50 hours of community service before the end of the semester. And as luck (or curse) would have it, you've been paired with Katsuki Bakugo.
"Community service?" Mineta whines as our project outlines are handed out. The neatly printed papers detail our upcoming group assignment, while murmurs of discontent spread through the room like wildfire.
"It makes sense," Todoroki replies. “Locals should see us helping out. It’ll help them see us as heroes, not just normal teenagers.” He glances around, noticing a few classmates exchanging skeptical looks and hushed comments about the project.
"I don't care about a bunch of stupid idiots who can't help their own damn selves," Bakugo mutters under his breath, slumping further back into his chair with his hands stuffed into his pockets. I pity whoever's partnered with him. Stifling a laugh, I refocus on our clearly annoyed teachers.
"The committee feels that you are forgetting the main reason for being a hero: maintaining harmony and peace," Professor Mic reverberates. A few eyes glance at Bakugo, making him sink even lower in his seat.
"This isn’t a bad thing," Mr. Aizawa reassures us. "I've already assigned partners. You’ll need to follow the listed directions and get your papers stamped afterward. Take the rest of today to plan your volunteer options."
I glance down at my own paper, scanning the list of assigned partners. My eyes land on my name paired with Bakugo. Great. I look over at him; he’s still slumped in his chair with a scowl etched on his face.
Around the room, reactions are mixed. Midoriya is enthusiastically discussing the project with Iida, their heads already bent over their papers. Uraraka and Tsuyu exchange excited smiles, clearly happy to be working together. Meanwhile, Mineta groans loudly when he sees he's paired with Sero, who just shrugs.
"Looks like we're partners," I say, trying to stay positive.
"Just stay out of my way,"
"We need to work together if we want to get a good grade on this," I insist.
"Whatever."
Present Mic claps his hands to get our attention again. "A good day as a hero is carrying groceries for an elderly person. You shouldn't get used to saving the world every day."
With that, he dismisses us to start planning. Bakugo stands up abruptly, grabbing his backpack and pushing past me. I quickly grab my own bag and pull it over my shoulder, following him out the door, struggling to keep pace with his long strides.
"What kind of community service should we do?" I question, trying to engage him.
"I don't care," he snaps, not bothering to look back. "Just pick something and get it done."
"How about we go to the local animal shelter and walk dogs? I think I saw that on the list." I reach into my half-open bookbag and pull out the paperwork, trying to walk and read.
"Yeah, whatever," he says dismissively.
I slow my pace until I come to a stop. Bakugo doesn’t even glance back; he just turns the corner and heads out the front doors. Why did Mr. Aizawa pair me with him? I question my teacher's thought process for the hundredth time.
Taking a deep breath, I force myself to refocus. Complaining won't change anything. Maybe Mr. Aizawa is testing me. Despite Bakugo's attitude, I know he can be a capable partner when he wants to be.
Just maybe, this could be an opportunity for both of us to grow.

Star-Like Encounters (Hugh Jackman x Fem!Reader) Chapter 2
Previous Chapter: https://www.tumblr.com/imagineinside/760282819875471360/star-like-encounters-hugh-jackman-x-femreader?source=share
A/N: First of all, thank you guys for the love on the first chapter! Sorry it took me longer to get this second one out, life has gotten hectic (I study Aerospace Engineering in real life and my semester just started lol) but this is a great escape for me. I think Chapter 3 will be even more fun to write than this one. ;)
Description: You begin your first semester at a prestigious university with a mix of excitement and chaos. After a frantic start involving a late arrival due to your roommate’s Hollywood-related detour, your day takes an unexpected turn when you meet Hugh Jackman, your roommate’s boss, at a movie studio.
Hugh, intrigued by your expertise in physics, invites you to consult on a film project aiming for scientific accuracy. Balancing your new academic responsibilities with a potential Hollywood cameo, you must navigate your dual interests. As you face your own feelings, you discover that the lines between your professional and personal worlds are more intertwined than you imagined.
Currently Applicable Tags: (Future) 18+, Fluff, cocky Hugh Jackman, flirty Hugh Jackman, age gap (55 and 27), so much pining, mutual pining, more to come.
The next week and a half went by without any real hassle. In fact, Hugh and your roommate had to go overseas for some press release on the upcoming debut of the “Deadpool and Wolverine” film, which you were definitely going to see on opening day. You could hardly believe Hugh Jackman was already working on a new movie, but perhaps he needed to be busy with work right now to keep his mind off other things. You understood the feeling.
You hadn’t sent Hugh another text yet, despite the fact that your roommate had already given you the green light to do so. You had just secured your first semester at Stanford, and while there was nothing in your contract stating you couldn’t pursue other career opportunities, being a professor to over 100 students still took a lot of time. And being the newest, and youngest, faculty member you knew you were under heavy scrutiny from the headmaster.
It was rather unheard of for a young professional at the age of 27 to become a professor. But throughout your university career you had pursued your Masters and Bachelors at the same time, which had just left a three-year long Phd to complete in which you focused on laser technology and nuclear propulsion systems. Hugh Jackman had been right about at least one thing, you were very dedicated and passionate about your craft.
After your class Wednesday morning you were set on grading papers for the rest of the day, the assignment had been “What shape is our universe?” a relatively simple question but with a lot of avenues to discuss. Well, you were set on grading papers until you opened up your YouTube account to turn on background music and a new interview featuring Hugh Jackman popped up on your feed. This one was from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, so they must have just taken a while to post it.
It was as if your hand had a mind of its own as you clicked on the video. A wild round of applause started as Hugh Jackman took his seat and seemed to readjust his sweater, hips popping in the air. God, he was so effortlessly attractive. The interview went through the normal questions, yet you still soaked up every minute of it. It wasn't until the last couple minutes that Fallon had asked him, “So can you tell us anything about the new movie that is still in pre-production? I mean, I have no idea what it’s even about!”
Hugh laughed, crows feet growing appearing to his eyes. You absolutely adored the smile lines around his eyes and mouth, you wish you could trace every single one. “I can’t say too much, sorry, Jimmy. What I can say is that we’ve recruited some expertise for the physics of the movie… y’know like the stuff that us movie producers aren’t very well versed in.” He said with another laugh, “And I gotta say, she is just amazing, and very passionate about her work.”
“Is she the hottie of her department too, Hugh?” Fallon had asked with a laugh, obviously making a joke.
Hugh seemed to pause, a smile forming on his lips, “If she isn’t, then I would be very surprised, Jimmy.”
“Does the Hugh Jackman have a crush?”
Hugh laughed, “Even if I did, I highly doubt it would be reciprocated–”
You slammed your laptop shut, heart pounding in your ears. You whipped out your phone to text Ashley but paused when the keyboard popped up, what exactly were you going to say to her? Hey! So your boss inadvertently flirted with me and it’s making me feel some very specific type of way. What do I do???
Instead, you opted to open up the email from Ashley which included an agenda for the pre-production discussions. Attached to her email, she had written, “I also let them know your work schedule and when you have your mid-term breaks, so we tried to work around them.” You smiled at your friend's generosity, she truly was so encouraging of your work and had so much admiration for you, as you did her.
As you reviewed the dates and times alongside your class schedule, you realized there was really no reason to say no. They had aligned the dates perfectly so that you wouldn’t have to worry about missing or being late to any lectures. Sure, you may have to take your grading work on the go, but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. You were a professor for an introductory graduate course, you weren’t meant to be too hard on these kids.
You reopened your phone, hesitating over Hugh Jackman’s icon before clicking on your messages. Before you could really think about it, you hurriedly typed out a text and clicked send.
Putting your phone on do not disturb, you shoved it to the side and got back to grading papers. It took nearly a full three hours before you were done with the stack of 100 essays, and you had merely skimmed them. It probably would’ve taken you far longer to thoroughly read through them.
It wasn’t until you had your bag packed up to return home that you dared another look at your phone. You weren’t sure why you were so nervous, the worst thing he could say was that they found someone else, or if he didn’t respond at all. You still weren’t sure this was all real, so having it come to an end may be for the best anyway.
Upon seeing that he had messaged you only minutes after you sent him your initial text, you hurriedly sent an apology.
The photo had you laughing in the middle of the hallway on your way out of the building, getting a few glares from fellow professors and students. You mumbled a quick apology and hurriedly went through the exit, simultaneously typing a response back to him.
* * *
It wasn’t until Sunday night that your roommate returned home and immediately beelined to her room. You couldn’t blame her, being gone and traveling that whole time would have made you really miss your bed too.
You decided to be a good friend and greet her with a cup of coffee and a plate of eggs the next morning, to which she had immediately devoured both. Then you were off to class, with a promise to pick Ashley up on your way to the first of the pre-production meetings.
During your lecture, it felt like it was impossible to focus on the task at hand. Instead, your mind seemed to want to focus on your nerves about seeing Hugh Jackman again, in person. Sure, you two had been exchanging a bit since last Monday, but it wasn’t about anything personal. You tried to keep your conversations strictly professional so as not to give yourself a heart attack.
“Finally, God, what took you so long?” Ashley grumbled as she clambered into the Volvo.
You rolled your eyes, shifting it out of park and merging onto the road. “Someone is still jet lagged.” “Ugh, don’t even get me started. I still want to be in a ball on my bed right now, not going to this meeting. Plus!” Ashley exclaimed, throwing a finger in the air, “I won’t even know what you’ll be babbling on about! I don’t know rocket physics or whatever.”
“Astrophysics,” you quietly remind her.
“Sorry, I don’t mean to undermine your interest. I’m just tired and grumpy.”
You laughed, “It’s fine, Ash, let’s just make it there without you jumping out of this car in an attempt to escape.
“Don’t tempt me.” She said, and you both burst out into laughter.
* * *
When you arrived at the older looking building closer to downtown Los Angeles, Ashley showed you where to park in the back to keep your license plate hidden. “Paparazzi like to take pictures of the cars here and try to track them down,” she had explained.
Then you were knocking on the back door, your heart in your throat. You heard footsteps approaching from behind the door before the door swung open to reveal an older gentleman with curly, graying hair.
He gave you two a bright smile, “Ashley, good to see you again.” He greeted Ashley to which she gave him a half-hearted grunt back. “And you must be the professor I’ve heard so much about. I’m Shawn, the director for the film.”
You smiled and shook his hand before he stepped aside to let you guys in. The building wasn’t at all what you had expected, you thought the meeting would be at a cold, fluorescent-lit office building, not this quaint, rustic old home near downtown.
You followed Ashley into what you thought would be the dining room of the household, where you were greeted with six other individuals–including Hugh Jackman himself, sitting around an oak table with a whiteboard at the very end. The whiteboard was full of different scribbled imagery and what you thought was an attempt at Newton’s Laws… you couldn’t be quite sure.
“Ah, there she is!” Hugh exclaimed as he tossed his reading glasses–which you tried not to think about how hot he looked with them on, key word: tried–and began walking over to you.
You opened your mouth to greet him, right before you were enveloped in a warm hug by his giant body. He was so much bigger than you, standing side-by-side you hadn't noticed. But right then you felt safe… protected.
You tried not to revel in the hug too much, allowing yourself one long draw of his clean, pinewood scent before pulling away. “Good to see you also made it back alive. Though the jet-lag isn’t affecting you as much as Grumpy over there from Snow White.”
Ashley flipped you off as she settled in a chair and pulled a stack of papers into her lap.
“Thank you for coming,” Hugh said as you drifted your eyes up to his face. His hands clasped around your shoulders and gave a gentle squeeze before he turned to go back to his spot at the table.
Clearing your throat, you settled into the last remaining seat at the head of the room. “I have already signed the NDA for the film and faxed it to Ashley while she was away. So, if I’m able to ask, what exactly did I need to be asked about?”
All eyes turned to Shawn, the man that had greeted you at the door. “There is a part of the film where the main characters are sending their ship through a wormhole to travel a big distance. Can you describe how that would look?”
Oh, boy… “Well, how scientifically accurate are you hoping this movie to be? Like Interstellar level, or Star Wars?”
“We were hoping for more Interstellar.” A bald man across from Hugh answered.
“In that case, it’s important to note that scientifically speaking, we don’t know if wormholes even exist or not. In theoretical physics, they can be described as ‘tunnel-like’ structures.” You paused to survey the faces of those around you, your eyes falling on one face in particular. Hugh had his head resting on his open hand, a twinkle of something in his eye as he nodded in encouragement for you to continue. “Basically, wormholes are a wrinkle in whatever fabric space is made of,” you said and picked up a piece of loose paper that was on the table. You brought the two edges together to form a wrinkle. “Simply, it would be like a tunnel traveling through this paper. But that wrinkle needs to exist first.”
“And you don’t know ‘if the technology which we humans have created would be able to survive traveling in a wrinkle through space. Or if the human body would survive on a molecular level’,” Hugh carried on.
You nodded slowly, not sure if he knew what he was quoting, “Yes, that was from my… um, my graduate thesis.”
Hugh smiled and held up a stapled stack of paper, “I know, I printed it out.” He laughed as he confessed, “I think I’ve read it three or four times to grasp everything you discussed.”
You tried to hide the blush forming on your cheeks. While you took great pride in that thesis, you didn’t think anyone–especially Hugh Jackman–would have taken such an interest in it.
“The other issue is what lies beyond the thin fabric of space if a wormhole exists? That’s the greatest mystery of my field, though,” you laughed, “We have no idea what our universe is actually expanding into. Does matter just cease to exist past that point? Is it a giant black hole? We have no clue.”
“From the sounds of it, you can’t answer our questions then.” The bald man said to you from across the room, his icy glare making you snap your mouth shut, before turning to Shawn, “I told you it would be a waste of our time–”
“I think you should leave,” a gruff voice announced, and it took you a moment to register that it was Hugh who said it. Was he seriously willing to stand up for you like that?
The man scoffed, “Seriously?”
Hugh stood suddenly, his chair scraping against the hardwood floor. It was hard not to notice how mouth-drooling good he looked in his green cashmere sweater. It really did hug him in all the right ways.
“Yes, seriously,” Hugh insisted as he began to walk around the table. As he passed by you, he gave your shoulder–at least what you imagined was–an apologetic squeeze. The feeling of his calloused hand against your bare shoulder sent a shiver down your spine. “Come, I’ll walk you out.”
“Shawn, really?” The bald man looked to the director.
Shawn sighed as he glanced up at Hugh. He must have seen something in his lead actor's eyes since he said, “I think it would be best for you to take a break for now, we will see you again tomorrow.”
Without another word, the man gathered his belongings and stormed out of the house, slamming the backdoor before Hugh was able to close it for him. Once Hugh returned to the room, you felt like you could breathe again.
“So, where were we?” Hugh asked as he sat back down, and you didn’t miss the way he shuffled closer to you to rub soothing circles on the small of your back.
* * *
You answered a few more of their questions regarding wormhole travel, black holes, and also the passing of time in space versus on-planet. After an hour and a half it felt like you were losing their attention, so you decided to end the discussion there. Ashley had fallen asleep on the chair, but when it was time to go you gave her the keys and she went out to the car.
Eventually everyone had cleared out of the room besides you and Hugh, which left you not really knowing what to say.
“I’m sorry about Steven,” Hugh had started. He was standing behind his chair, hands braced on the back of it. His fingers were so long and elegant, and his palms were double the size of yours. He was an all-around giant compared to you.
You waved it off, “It didn’t phase me. I’ve dealt with worse individuals before, happens a lot in my field actually.” You paused before saying, “Thank you, though, for, um, sticking up for me. But you should know I can take care of myself,” you said with a playful smile.
Hugh’s face grew into a smile that matched yours as he took a few steps forward until he was just a handreach away. “Are you sure about that?”
“Yeah!” You said and playfully punched him in the chest, your fist contacting with refined muscle, “I’m a big girl. Do you see these guns?” You laughed and pretended to flex your arms.
“I feel bad for whatever person crosses you,” Hugh laughed, though it quickly tapered off as he worried at his bottom lip.
You furrowed your brow and titled your head, “Everything alright?”
“Yeah,” Hugh gave you a lopsided smile, though it didn’t really reach his eyes. “Just nervous.”
“About what?”
“Well,” Hugh began but quickly paused as he scratched at the rough beginnings of a beard. You wish you could feel that stubble scraping against your skin and watch it leave irritated marks all over you. “I am assuming you know the debut night for Deadpool & Wolverine is coming up soon.”
“Duh!” You laughed, “I already got tickets for me and Ashley opening night.”
“Right, of course, nevermind then,” Hugh laughed it off with a shrug, but you caught his arm as he went to go past you.
“You aren’t getting off that easy. What were you going to say?”
It seemed like he still took a moment to contemplate it before he said, “I am allowed a plus one for the debut, and my kids already have stuff going on. I guess I was wondering, as a thank you for your help with all this, would you like to go?” He let the question hang in the air for a second, “As my plus one, of course. And I could get you in contact with my stylists and I am sure they would love to have a woman to dress for a change,” he said with an awkward laugh that you still found quite endearing.
“Hugh,” you began and he looked at you as if you held the entire world in your hands, “I would love to go. I’ll arrange with Ashley to make sure one of our friends can go with her in my place.” You paused, something like anxiety creeping up your spine, “But won’t you be worried about what people will say if they see me there with you? I know you are inviting me as a friend and colleague, but… the media tends to run with stuff like this.”
Hugh shook his head and grabbed at the hand you still had on his arm, “No, I won’t be worried. It would be an honor to have you there.” Before you could move away, Hugh brought your hand up to his mouth, leaving a quick kiss on the back of it. “You should get going,” he said, his voice rougher, darker than usual. It’s what you imagined his bedroom voice would be like. WHOA, totally not the time to be thinking about that. “Ashley is probably waiting for you.”
You nodded and shook yourself out of whatever trance he put you in, “Yeah, right, right.” You gathered your belongings and went to leave the room, and you aren’t entirely sure what confidence came over you as you turned back to him to say, “Oh, and Hugh? I am definitely the hottie of my department.” With a wink, you disappeared from sight.

A pearl
chp 1; Let them eat cake!
as you walk down the halls of tevyat university, three big textbooks and one overflowed binder in hand, on your way to a film class that you had randomly decided to take for the second semester. you stop by a vending machine and decide to reward yourself with one of the new snacks they had put in there. one random glass jar of coffee. unfortunately, trying to place your books down neatly, they slip out your hand. On your way down to pick it up, you hear loud stomps approaching, looking up you find your long time friend, childe, smiling up at you.
"i should've known it was your fat ass with those heavy footsteps."
"and that's why you're buying the 1000 calorie unknown tevyat coffee?"
you roll your eyes at childe's sassy replies, already used to it. you drop a couple dollars into the vending machine and watch the coffee drop from the bottom shelf.
"Where you headed? I didn't know you had classes at this time."
he picks your stuff up for you, handing the heavy textbooks and proceeding to take his long strides that you had to keep up with.
"I did, but i signed up for a film class because i felt underworked for one week. i'm totally not in the right state of mind to start another class, but we persevere!"
"Film? Ooh scara takes that class! He majors though, say hi to him for me he's really purple and hard to miss!"
is all childe says before running off, already spotting new friends like the social person he is. you take a sip of the coffee and instantly make a scowl face, choosing to close it and have it by your side the whole day.
you sit down in the class, unfortunately for you there was less than twenty-five people in the class, so everyone had already become close friends along with the teacher.
you sit down on an empty seat when a small group of people come in, along with the teacher following behind.
A few minutes later, and everyones settled in and paying attention. you had grown to learn that there's nineteen people in the film class. The teacher calls out your name, and luckily for you, all he does is welcome you instead of making you introduce yourself. The boy next to you is the one you assumed childe was talking about, so you smile at him, but he just wierdly stares back.
"Ok.." you think in your head
"Alright, class. turn to anyone next to you, and that will be your partner for this project. I'm sure most of you are familiar with cinematography, this being your second semester here," and he looks right at you "but if your not, this will be a great opportunity to learn. I want a short, no more than thirty minute film. It has to be a glimpse into you and your partners life, either separately or it could be about any relationships or friend ships you have. This is due in two and a half months, it could be filmed on anything, but you guys obviously know what gets you extra points. I give you this class period to discuss. oh, and, it needs a song."
after listening to your teacher ramble, you curse yourself for not sitting between two students and instead opting for the edge seat, you turn to the purple headed boy who's already writing ideas in his notebook.
"uh.. what do you have so far?"
he lifts his head up, showing his notebook.
"Uh, I'm writing down a few movies that would fit this project, just to see how we should combine our stories, i guess."
from his tone of speech, you could see that he was excited about this project, but definitely not to do it with you.
"Bones and all? I see how the stories would combine now. hm. Okay so.. how about we do this, your story or whatever could go first, and we could move it to any experience i share, and then me, and it would bring us both here."
"oh. that's actually, pretty good."
and just like that, the two of you spent the rest of the fourty-five minutes of that class talking about your project, you leaving with a new number in your phone and a new address in your mind.

Becoming That Girl In School
♡ Time management is key! For academic success. Most of us are taking 4-6 classes in total and that is a lot especially when you have assignments, tests, and projects. You need to manage your time so you don't feel overwhelmed. An app that I personally use to create my schedule is structured I've spoken about this app before in many different posts. I have the pro version I recommend purchasing the pro version because you get more tools to help you plan out your schedule.
♡ Organization. I use my MacBook for note-taking in my classes so I have individual folders for every class. If you use notebooks or a binder organize it so you can keep up with every assignment that is due. To make it more fun get colored notebooks, highlighters, colored pens, and stickers.
♡ Limit procrastination. Do not wait until the night before to get started on an assignment I used to do this a lot and it caused a lot of stress. Now I have implemented work blocks I select two days out of the week where I sit and do homework for 3 hours. During this time I put my phone on Do Not Disturb, I let my family know I'm busy, and I’ll usually have a YouTube video playing to keep me interested. This has helped me complete all homework assignments so im not doing homework every day and reduce stress.
♡ Studying and tutoring. If you know you are struggling with a certain topic study or go to tutoring. Especially if your school offers free tutoring you should take advantage of that. I struggle with math and this semester I am taking a math class. I started tutoring recently and it has been such a good tool I got help on my homework and I gained more knowledge. If you have a friend who is good at a certain subject become study buddies. To romanticize studying go to a cute cafe, grab a coffee or pastry, sit, and study.
♡ Get a good amount of sleep. No more late nights when you know you have class at 8 am! Our brains need sleep make sure you are sleeping at night when you learn to manage your time you will be able to find time for the fun things you want to do during the day so at night you're not up trying to make up for lost time. Sleep is super important when you are well-rested you can focus in class. I have a bedtime some nights it is different depending on my class schedule but I try to at least get 6 hours of sleep a night.
♡ Reset day. Find a day during the week when you can reset. During this day you will not work on any assignments you will focus on self-care. Sleeping if you need to rest, going to get a facial or doing one at home, binge-watching your favorite show. Make this day all about you and what you want. That day for me is Sunday I love Sundays I have no classes or work so I can stay home resting and pampering myself when Tuesday comes I am ready for my school week to start.
These are a few tips that have been making this semester so much easier for me<3 We are almost close to 300 followers we literally just hit 200!!! Thank you to everyone who has been supporting my blog and welcome to my new girliesss! Comment or click the “lets chat babes” button to submit any topics you want me to discuss or any advice you might need loveee you girliessss muah <3

hcs - enha as college students
notes: this isn't even an x reader (it may be in the future 👀) lmao, this is all lighthearted and i by no means intend to insult or deface any of the enhas or see them fr fr this way
heeseung: comp sci major w/a music minor
deep down would definitely want his degrees to be the other way around
but he would probs realize cs just leads to more of a stable job (not with ai on the rise tho 😍 we love going into a doomed field of study)
(as a cs kid i’m ABSOLUTELY projecting onto my little headcanons about him)
i think..he’d be a NORMAL person that enjoys programming more than learning abt computer hardware or theory
seeing as he’s normal he’d HATEEEEE object-oriented programming (the complex part of programming OUGHGG)
he’d probably know exactly what to minor in for his dream job: music production
he’d DEFINITELYYY be in the school orchestra as a piano
he’s not mysterious enough for a bass, annoying enough for a violin or trumpet, or quirky enough for a cello
he’s an attention whore he wouldn’t even LOOK at the violas 💀
but yeah overall i think he’d know his plans for the future down to a T
probs has an internship at microsoft (derogatory)
now for the most important question
would he be a tech bro?
absolutely NOT
for those that aren’t as familiar with tech bros
just imagine a redditor alpha male with horribly gelled hair that brings the LOUDEST gaming pc to class with a horribly oiled, light-up keyboard, and makes sleazy comments about the one or two girls in every comp sci class
in other words: a woman in cs’ worst nightmare (send help i’m one of TWO girls in a class full of tech bros.)
but yeah he wouldn’t be like that at all
he’d definitely suck at rizzing up women (bro plays LoL in 2023, the year of our lord, need i elaborate?)
i can easily imagine him coming into class with gray sweatpants, a white t-shirt and flannel over, and a double-shot coffee from starbucks every day
he’d probably be the most decent-looking dude in every cs-related class i can’t even lie
for the dudes reading this: if you ever need an ego boost, do basic self-care and dress well (maybe even put on basic makeup), and join a cs class
the amount of mid ass incels with no concept of self-care will immediately make you the most attractive man in the class i kid you not
neways enough of me projecting 💀
as a music student
i could absolutely see him eat up every composition assignment (where you compose your own piece of music)
although i feel like he’d have a teacher that prefers classical music that’d be PISSED every time he submits something non-conventional
omg imagine him composing a whole dubstep instrumental for class
if the music production thing doesn’t work out he’d start a band with a bunch of losers in his dad’s garage and make horrible music that’d still get a decent amount of listens and attention bc he’s hot
it’s giving fallout boy but not emo
maybe shitty indie at best
more utc !
jay: english major w/a philosophy minor
first of all
his ass would NOT know philosophy is mostly math before signing up
i don’t think he’d be bad at math at all but he’d fs be regretting it all
but then he’d debate dropping out until whoop there’s only a semester left until it’s over. too late.
he’d dress up for every class for SUREEE
one word: beige.
he IS light academia pinterest
studyblr WISHES it was him fr
macbook user. i don’t need to explain.
he’d probably have his life together on the outside
bullet journal and aesthetic notion and all
i feel like he’d prefer discussions and deep thought (hence the philosophy) and debates over analysis
he’d LOVE discussing his thoughts abt different texts in class
he would NOT like writing out analyses abt random ass stories tho (hs english was a NIGHTMARE)
argumentative essays are his BITCH fr
i think he’d lose points for focusing more on broader concepts and going just a tad too off-topic in analytical essays, instead of focusing on details and cause-effect relationships and all that
now for the important part: his life outside of college
ik for a FACT he’d be the most likely to have a thriving social life outside of school out of all of enha
don’t @ me it’s not my fault the rest of them are MAIDENLESS – heeseung plays LEAGUE for crying out loud !!
probably goes out to the mall or new attractions like museums every weekend
even tho he minors in arguably one of the hardest fields of study ??
bro would finish up calc III homework in less than an hour 🤯
i bet he’d be there on a scholarship too 😒lucky ass
jake: international relations (global politics) major, no minor
note: ik the average writer would probs make him a physics major but that’s BOOOORING and overdone, plus i just don’t see it 🤷
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE !!! IR ≠ political science !!! IR focuses on politics around the world, pol sci is more of how internal governments work
(i’m also heavily projecting here bc i’m a politics student send your prayers please and thank you)
i pity IR majors
this boy is TIRED 25/8
tbh the thing with IR isn’t that the content’s hard
a (paraphrased) quote from my IR teacher: “political scientists are lazy, all they do is come up with generic concepts and slap an ‘-ism’ at the end”
it’s moreso the reading and writing.
god the reading.
politics textbooks are so big and expensive it hurts my wallet just to look at the library-issued textbook i have
he’d be running on caffeine and a prayer, no sleep we die like men
not that he’d be a bad student !!
i could definitely see him being that one student that asks the teacher the silent questions no one asks bc they think it’ll make them look stupid (ie. asking them to repeat what they just said or explain a not-so-complex theory)
would definitely word vomit about politics, current and past, to the rest of the enhas (but just to make sure he remembers it all, you gotta respect the grind man)
none of them would understand a thing
jake: “yeah so it’s stupid how there are a whole bunch of states fighting over the south china sea when it’s technically international waters [please don’t quote me on this it’s like 2 am and i’m pulling stuff out of my ass] and therefore has no legal ‘owner’ haha isn’t that stupid?”
the rest of enha, maybe except for jay: 👁️👄👁️
jay: “ermmm akshully 🤓👆it’s in the name, china has legal rights over the south CHINA sea bc it borders it”
i can picture it vividly
imma be honest this man would be a MESS
he’d probably make (futile) attempts to get his shit together like a notion pro subscription, trying to sleep on time, a gym membership, you name it
sadly that’s just the life of a politics student
it’s so hectic it’d be hard to keep up with, but it’s jake, he’d somehow stay afloat
he’d probably come to his minimum wage job after class half-dead but his manager and coworkers would take pity on him and let him sleep in the janitor’s closet
would probably be clinging to the whole “just get through tomorrow and it’ll get better” mentality
it does not. sigh
sunghoon: undeclared until sophomnore (second) year, kinesiology (bio?) major
man honestly
this mf would be irrelevant
probs has a generic major and says absolutely nothing in class
if you blink he’d probs disappear
i feel like he’d initially wanna go for med but then he’d hear about the whole you’re-gonna-sacrifice-the-best-years-of-your-life-for-this-field-of-study thing and said NOPE lmao
which is reasonable
with the amount of ppl doing med in the world he wouldn’t think it’d make a difference if he decided to switch
i feel like he’d just be there for the ride 💀smth abt wanting to “experience all life has to offer” (not in a rich, just here for the business degree way, but more of an “i don’t need a degree to get a job but it might make it easier” way)
so yeah he decides to major in kinesiology, the study of movement according to google
disclaimer i’m not a bio person at ALL so any misinformation is completely unintentional and i will NOT be held at gunpoint to do research about a college major for HEADCANONS at ass o’clock in the morning
neways
he has a decently light workload and therefore a healthy amount of free time
on the occasional he does get a painful assignment he’d procrastinate until he’d staying up and cussing out his past self for not doing it earlier
tbh i don’t think he’d be a horrible OR amazing student
he’s truly MID mid
maybe an average of like … 75% which really isn’t bad tbh the american education system has conditioned us into thinking it is but let’s be fr other than philly cheese steaks what exactly have we ever gotten right.
….neways again
he’d be something like a jack of all trades, master of none
overall a chill guy 9/10 would be fun to hang out with
now for the best part
frat boy sunghoon
idk anything abt frat or sorority life – i’m asian the only thing close to a sorority i’d be in would be like … the school orchestra or book club 💀my parents would kill me – so don’t take everything i say for gospel
you bet your ass he’d be at every party
100% for the booze and vibes he wouldn’t even be there to flirt or rizz ppl up (he’s a self-aware man he knows he has negative rizz but that’s what makes him so ALLURING)
wouldn’t get high or anything tho he’s not all abt that life (that life being running away from the popo)
i’d trust him to walk me home tbh
he wouldn’t hurt a fly the most he’d do is like … attempt to verbally abuse jay
sunoo: art major, english lit. minor
you saw it coming don’t lie
NEWAYS
he’d be amazing at art honestly
making a portfolio would be his Thing yk
yk those big artists that are all about “working on the impulse” and not doing anything until they do ridiculous shit to get over art block
that’s him
but he slays every time he gets over it
god i feel like he’d be the perfect college friend after jay
he definitely has his shit together
i’m talking he does his assignments on time, probably has a half-paid merit scholarship, works a decent job at a taco bell just off of campus, and somehow has a will to live and time to go to the mall every weekend
the thing is, he’s not the most perfect college friend bc he’s slightly more fun-focused and free-spirited than jay, who’s a perfect mix of both
neways no more talking abt other enhas it’s sunoo’s time to shine 😠
i bet his dorm would be the most organized and decorated too oughhgh
he’d be the lucky mf that gets the biggest dorm on the first floor (with like two other roommates but they respect his privacy and all that)
he’d probably be able to get away with dorm policy violations (ie. cooking with an iron or something Not meant for cooking in his dorm instead of the nasty ass moldy ass communal kitchen) by batting his eyelashes and sweet-talking to the woman that oversees the dorms or smth (i’m blanking and i completely forgot what it’s called)
overall the luckiest bitch ever
we should all aspire to be sunoo tbh
if you’re a man and you’re not sunoo … thin fucking ice. do better. /hj
jungwon: biochem major, going for med (specifically oncology, the study of cancer?)
sorry in advance to any ppl in medical 🫶i’m gonna get every part of this wrong lmao
he’s one of Those Guys that’s known exactly what they’re doing since like … middle school
important question: would it be bc he gave into the classic asian parent pressure into becoming a doctor?
they might've played a tiny role in it but i think he'd genuinely wanna go into medical bc he's insane
definitely gets the best scores out of everyone in his class (idk if they use bell curves in med but if not he’d get solid 90s on everything)
i could see him with his life together tbh
homework always done a week before, healthy lunches he makes himself, clear skin, all that jazz
definitely has a merit-based scholarship
probably got a 1560 on the SAT too 😒 lucky ass bitch
i hate to say it
i really do
but he'd be the mf that reminds the teacher abt homework
“ermmmm mr. kim you said we had a pop quiz at the end of class” followed by him being beaten to a pulp
(w reaction/lh)
really cares about getting into a good med school
would DEFINITELY have like two internships every summer
so to recap: basically every asian med student ever (i’m friends with far too many rip med kids)
at least they won't be replaced with ai …
heeseung crying in the distance
NEWAYS
for a med student i feel like he’d be busy 24/7 but he wouldn’t Look like it?
like if you’ve seen a med student, even in hs, they look like they lost a fight to a rabid raccoon
but for some reason jungwon has his shit together like the neurotypical know-it-all he is 😒/lh please don’t kill me
seeing as he’s known what he wants to do since like … middle school in this au, i think he’d fs be on top of all the content he’s learned, if not ahead of everyone else
i’d trust him to be my doctor 🫡
actually no i wouldn’t
riki: theater major w/a visual art minor (get it bc he’s a minor) (i’m hilarious LAUGH)
he’s a quiet little guy, definitely sits in the back of the lecture hall
would milk the SHIT out of being a minority for scholarships and applications
i'm talking his common app essay abt being socially isolated and politically aware, i'm talking abt using any and all minority scholarships possible – in the eyes of the law (and the college board), riki is now half hispanic
i’d say his grades would be pretty decent, not much in the A+ zone (96-100) but at the very least, B+’s
really not that bad tbh
he’d SO be a theater kid in hs
tell me he wouldn't be those mfs that have the whole hamilton soundtrack memorized and break out into random song and dance at inappropriate times
i bet he’d ship hamilton and laurens 💀
neways
i feel like he'd like art as a class but suck at meeting deadlines and portfolio assignments n stuff
which is valid tbh i don’t think any kind of teacher of the arts (not just visual) should be too strict abt that
classes with him and sunoo would make him INSUFFERABLE omg
if you put them next to e/o they won't shut up
which is cute don't get me wrong
but makes trying to work IMPOSSIBLE
but when they're separated he’d be dead silent
you wouldn't even notice he's there tbh
overall a dedicated student with the occasional tendency to be silly and goofy
i feel like his resume would be pretty to make up for the lack of content actually on it
i'm talking canva pro graphics, fancy fonts, graphic design is his passion (not literally)
logically the best career path for him based on his degrees would be a set designer …
but obv he’s either an actor or the manager
probably an actor being a stage manager SUCKS
(don’t get me wrong it’s fun i’ve done it before but oh my GOD. if you ever wanna lose hair really fast become a backstage manager it’ll work 100%)
bonus: best-dressed in class
sunoo - you’ll never catch him slipping tbh 🤷 he’d have the most free time out of the others and would probably spend his time going out and putting together silly little outfits and being cute and adorable bc it’s kim sunoo That’s Just How He Is
jay - light academia light academia light academia light academia light academia
sunghoon (unintentionally) - his sense of style in college would be mid, truly meh, nothing special to look at but his looks make up for the boring attire (hubba hubba 😍) – the type to wear a white t-shirt, timbs, and jeans to class every day (get it 2017 jungkook 😍), maybe even a jacket. his sense of style would be as spicy as salt so not spicy at all, it’s giving unseasoned, boiled chicken
riki - he just Doesn’t Care but thankfully all the items in his closet would be usable (thanks to sunoo, that man would NOT let riki leave the house without running his outfits by him. his logic is that no best friend of his should look like a dumpsterfire !!)
jungwon - similar to jake, no time !! matching sweatshirts and sweatpants ftw
jake - politics majors have no sanity or connection to the real world bc it drives you INSANE after a month, cut him some slack :(
heeseung - the venn diagram of ppl with no sense of fashion and cs majors is a circle.

"Tilt Shift." Jason Carvey X FEM! AFAB! Reader.
Alright Bloodfest week two is in the bag! And who do we have but our limited screen time shitty film bro Ghostface Jason Carvey! I dunno why, but I really like him, he’s entering into the rotation. Buckle up guys, this is a pure hate fucking piece. Let’s go.
—
Rating. Explicit. Length. 4K. Jason Carvey X FEM! AFAB! Reader. She/Her Pronouns. Warnings: Jason Sucks. You Kinda Suck. Enemies To Fuck Buddies. Arguing. You And He Hate Each Other. Raw Sex. Vaginal Sex. Eating Out. Man Handling. Some Dominance.
—
You don’t think there is a single human being on Earth you get along with less with than one Jason-Who-Gives-A-Fucking-Shit-What-His-Middle-Name-Is-Carvey. He fucking sucks. He always wants to play devil's advocate, he always seemed to think your opinions were less than and had always had some smart comment to make to whatever you attempted to add to class discussion, he was a typical, shitty, film bro asshole. You avoided him whenever possible. You reluctantly had to see him multiple times a week in film class, and bumped into him around campus far more often than you’d like.
Getting paired up by random number lottery to do a duo project was the worst possible thing that could happen, there is no one that you would have liked less than him to be partnered with. A heavy sigh and your head dropped to your desk, he immediately launched into complaints and the class laughed, yeah it was real fucking funny how you were going to be tied to him for the end of semester project.
This is your nightmare, you mused, this is Hell.
The idea was that you are supposed to take a movie trailer and edit it, so it looks like it fits into a different genre, a great project you would have normally jumped at were you put with anyone else. The first three days were spent arguing over which trailer from the list to go with, you took so long that all the other options were snapped up, and you were left with the last one, forced to take it, and Jason didn’t take any blame for the fact the slim pickings you were saddled with were his fault. He said, “We gotta make it look like a horror film-”
And you were so tired of his crap already that you conceded.
“Fine, whatever you fucking want, Jason.” You sighed, and he asked, clearly not buying that you would give in first, “Wait, really?”
“Really, let’s make it look like the dumbest, cheesiest, shlockiest 80s gore fest we can.” Even with your flat and less than impressed tone, you thought he would be all about it, but in typical Jason fashion he took offence. He started to say that you could make it look much better than that, and you wanted the ground to open up and swallow you whole.
The guy was always so busy, you had limited time to do this and as much as you didn’t want to work with him, you had to get this done, intent on getting a good grade. Turning in late would cut into your mark's considerably. After a pile of texts and no less than five voicemails, you finally get a curt, “I booked the editing room at 10 PM, see you there.”
You had plans, but you needed to get this project done, so you cancelled the evening's activities reluctantly and made your way over. You had already gotten ready to go out tonight when he messaged, gave you less than two hours notice. You’d had just enough time to finish your food since you were out at dinner and make it back, run in and get your shit before you had to depart for your meeting with your less than stellar partner. You make it there five minutes before ten pm, you find the room empty, of course he got the last slot, no one wants to be editing this late on a fucking Friday night. Everyone else with good sense had gotten everything else done before now.
You slump down in a chair, drop your bag and take out your flash drive with the work you’d put in thus far, you plug it into the computer and cue it up.
And then you ended up waiting for half an hour for Jason to stroll in, far too casually considering how late he was. He took the chair next to you in front of the computer, setting down a bag of fast food, a soda before he shrugged his bag off his one shoulder and set it on the ground in front of the desk. He hadn’t said hello, he hadn’t even looked at you, arms crossed as you observed him in pure disbelief.
He was getting his stuff set up, taking his video camera out of his bag, getting the cord to attach it to the computer you’d claimed, a notebook, a pencil, he was eating a few fries in between. Fuck, he is the actual worst, while he is still setting up you cut in and say finally, “Hello?”
He stops, a look over to you, expression showing he was totally fucking confused why you were greeting him in this way, or greeting him at all, he says, “Hey?”
You laugh, eyes rolling as you lean back in your chair, “Are you fucking serious?”
“What? What did I do now? I just got here!” He sighed, turning back to his bag, and you tell him, “That is exactly the problem, Jason! You tell me, not ask, TELL me to show up here, no regard for my Friday night plans, and I don’t fight you on it! I show up, early, and you stroll in a half hour late with fucking McDonald's and not so much as an apology for being late! You are unbelievable.”
He shakes his head as he sighs, “Jesus, you are sensitive-”
“Jason!” You bite out, upset at the very idea you are sensitive for being upset at this, and he scoffs, “Fine, fucking sorry for being a little late-” He said it mockingly, it could turn your stomach. You wanted to fight him further, the idea that he was “a little late” was pissing you off, him acting as if he was just a touch behind schedule, but you didn’t want to be here all night.
“Whatever, can we get started?” You asked, and he said, “Yeah, so long as you are done being a bitc-”
“Do not finish that sentence, Carvey.”
He looked over at you and upon seeing how serious your expression combined with your downright venomous tone, he bit his tongue with a muttering of the word, “Fine.”
Thank the Lord, he was dropping it. Maybe now you can get some actual work done-
“Why are you wearing that?” He was staring at you, brow creased in question. You looked down at yourself, heeled boots, short skirt, low cut top and made up, you’d planned to go to a party with friends and due to his fucking shitty timing you didn’t have the chance to change.
Your eyes draw back up and meet his as you inform him, “I was planning to go out tonight until someone texted me to come do the work I’ve been begging to do for weeks, and I figured I better jump at the chance cuz who knows when I’ll get it again.”
He smiled, that stupid self-satisfied smile, he had his soda in one hand and a few fries in the other as he tells you, “Yeah, sorry about that, I’m a very in demand kinda guy.”
“Yeah, I am so sure.” You sigh, and you lean forward, “Okay so here is what I have so far-” You click the space bar and let what you had gotten done solo play out.
He, of course, hated it.
Endless criticism with no real praise to be found, he was going on and on, spewing his usual bullshit, “This is a joke! Total amateur hour! Did you even follow the story board we drew up?”
“Yes, I fucking did! Look- You hold up your sketchbook and go through the shot he was current critiquing and pointing out, “See?! These are all your stupid angles and notes, I fucking did it-”
“No way, if I handled it, it’d look much better-” You groan, a hand combing through your hair, dropping your sketchbook into your lap with your other hand, “You are impossible to work with Jason!”
“I’m not asking for much here! It isn’t difficult.” He insists, gesturing with his half empty soda, and you say with raised brows, “Taking a beloved rom com trailer and editing it to look like a horror film isn’t hard?”
He groans, and you swear he might just stamp his foot in indignation, “No! You just gotta do it with care! See the love interest is supposed to be the monster, the villain, he is a ravenous beast seeking to corrupt her, and you are not conveying that right!”
You don’t know why you ever agreed to this. You should have fought him harder on the genre.
“If it is so bad, why don’t you show me what you have so far?” You ask, and he says, “Gladly.”
He pulls up what he has so far, and it isn’t much of anything, it’s a few disjointed shots, some cobbled together audio and music, and you say, “You’ve hardly done anything, and you are criticizing me?!”
“My vision is clearer than yours is thus far-” He defends, and you cut in, “What vision? I can barely see anything!”
He takes a deep breath to calm himself and instead of pushing further he offers,“It’ll take me like thirty minutes to get it together, just give me what you have so far, and I’ll fix it.”
Your mouth gapes, jaw drops, “You want me to just let you do all of it? Trust you to do this solo? Fat fucking chance!”
“We are gonna be here all night then.” He says firmly, and you sigh out, “Fucking fine, I guess so.”
You both set to work in relative silence, you agreed to do the front end and him to finish it up, you and he steal glances at the others screens and more comments and barbs fly. You and he have this terrible habit of riling each other up, he just annoys you so much, it’s so hard to play nice and take the high road when he is like this.
“Really? You are using that as your transition-” You start, and he bites, “And what would you do? A fucking flash to black between shots bracketed by a sting of violin music?”
You make a sound of pure disgust, “You think so fucking highly of me.”
He spins in his wheelie office style chair and turns to look at you, he tells you, “Sweetheart, I don’t think of you in any way.”
You spin in your chair to face him better, arms crossing over your chest, “Thank God for that, otherwise I might vomit, I’d hate to ruin the carpet in here.”
Next you are up out of your chair, and you stretch your arms above your head, your eyes are closed, head back, so you miss the small detail of Jason’s eyebrows raising as the hem of your shirt does, enjoying the bit of skin you revealed with the action. Your arms come down and so does your gaze, his expression schools back into something more akin to hatred, and you say, “I’m going to the bathroom and gonna hit the vending machine.”
“Yeah whatever.” He shrugs and turns away, you make your move to walk out and tell him, “Be right back.”
He was less than subtle this time around when checking you out, blatantly staring at your ass through the glass window of the editing bay, you weren’t going to call him on it. Walking down the hallway it made you laugh with a shake of your head, you were musing, “Mmmhm, he totally neverrr thinks about me.”
You are still thinking about it while you are washing your hands, “Is this why Jason is such an asshole to me? Because he actually wants me? Shit, be more fucking cliche’.”
After leaving the bathroom and finding yourself in front of the vending machine, considering your options, maybe you were imagining things, maybe he wasn’t looking at you like that.
You put the money in and make your selection and watch the metal spiral spin and twist till the small bag of chips and the candy bar you selected fell. You fished them out and slid to the next one, keying in to get a can of something cold. Even if he was looking at you like that, who says you should do anything about it, maybe you could let ol’ Carvey suffer and stew.
Once you were back in the room you open the can, you stride to your chair and sit yourself down, you are mid-sip and putting the food on the desk with your other hand. The way you sat made your skirt rise up a tad, your legs cross, the can comes down and your opposite and free hand smoothed the material down over the curve of your thigh and that is when you notice it, he’s looking again.
Oh, he did want you. This was no wandering of a wild imagination, Jason actually was “taking in the sights”. You wanted to laugh until you realized something crucial. You’d swapped seats, you took the empty one without thinking, but this was his old chair, the crumpled McDonald's bag is what made it click. He was seated in yours now, meaning that he was editing your shit. You look over to the screen where his attention was fixed once more, and you see him doing some serious damage, you slam the can down and stand up, hand pushing on his shoulder as you exclaim, “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!”
He half turns in the chair, the violent jerking of his body from the force of you putting your hands on him, his own hands up and away from the keyboard, he looked shocked you touched him in such a way, so sudden and violent, “What?!”
You point at the screen as you ask much too loudly, “Why are you in my chair and what the fuck are you doing?!”
“I didn’t know if you were actually coming back, thought I should help you out since you so clearly need it.” He spits, and you scoff, “My bag is still here Jason, like I’d leave my shit in the editing bay alone all night with you, it’s bad enough I have to be here.”
“Again, you could let me handle it and you could go. I want to go a more found footage angle than you do anyway-” You suck your teeth indignantly, “You actually like that found footage shit? And how are you gonna make this look like that? Tilt shift it in after effect and slap some fucking filters on it?”
He leaned in closer as he spoke to you in a harsh tone, “What did you say before? Accusations of me thinking highly of you? Why don’t you flip that mirror back around to look at yourself.”
He was still looking at you in that annoying way that told you he was checking you out, and so you say, “No, I don’t think I’ll do that, I think you are looking at me enough for the both of us.”
The word was almost coughed out, “What?”
And the word of the day is. You stare him down as you say, “I see you fucking staring at me, you son of a bitch. I’m not as stupid as you treat me.”
“Are you sure about that? Because right now it sounds like you are delusional and convinced I want to fuck you.” He laughs but there is no bite behind it, he is trying and failing to cover himself up, he is struggling to meet your gaze.
“I don’t think I am that delusional.” You state simply, and he questions, “Oh no?”
“No. In fact, I am sure you want to fuck me so badly that I could ride you right here, and you’d more than let me, I think you’d love it.”
You decide not to let him get any more chances to argue, you reach down, fingers slip up your skirt, thumbs hook in your underwear, and you drag them down, stepping one leg out you said, “Get your stupid jeans open, right now.”
His expression is confused, eyes are wide, but his hands scramble, belt open and undone, pants unzipped he is shuffling them down his thighs before sitting back down, now you take in the sights, and he isn’t a bad size, this could work. You certainly aren’t going to give him the satisfaction of complimenting him, he speaks up, half cocky smile, with a hand around the base of his shaft, “You like it?”
You swing one leg over and sit in his lap as you sigh, “It’s passable, I suppose it’ll have to do.”
He frowns at that, and you grind yourself against him, hands coming to rest on his shoulders. Fingers curl in the material of the college branded shirt he wore, and you rolled your hips, dragging yourself against him, causing the head of his dick to bump over your clit making both you, and he shared a sharp inhale. You already hated this simply because that one simple move felt far better than it should, it pissed you off. You tested it again, you repeated the action, and it was better than the first pass, another proved to increase the feeling and so it goes and that just serves to fuel the fire of both rage and lust inside of you.
“What the fuck-” You breathe out, head tipping back, hips rolling, and he ruts up into you, providing extra friction and asking, “What? What are you going on about now?”
“This-” You grind again and let a breathy moan slip out, and he then moves again, matching you move for move, and you grit out, “-it’s too fucking good, it shouldn’t feel this fucking good, and it’s-”
You moan louder, “-it’s pissing me the fuck off.”
It's honest and raw and vulnerable and, above all else, very fucking true. His hands are on you, one on your hip to help control pace and another on your back, under your shirt, fingers on bare skin as he ruts up into you as he stares up, meets your gaze as he says, “Take it out on me.”
Now it was your turn to use the word of the day, “What?”
He moves slower this time, more purposeful, it makes you choke back a moan, and he reiterates himself, “Take your anger out on me then.”
You think that is the first smart thing he has ever said.
Enough is enough, and you figure that you should take him up on his offer, you raise yourself up, hand comes down behind you, fingers lock onto him and position him just so, you angle your hips, and then you do the most natural thing possible at that moment, you sit down, sliding him deep inside in the process.
Your hands move, one remains on his shoulder and the other slides into his slightly too long black hair and threads, you pull as you soak in the feeling of him stretching your walls, a deep sigh leaves you, satisfied in some regard simply from being filled. You revel for a moment until he shifts below you, eyes flick down, and he is staring up at you still, brows pinched together as he insists, “Move already.”
You scoff and tug harder on his hair, force his head back as you tell him, “Shut up.”
“That hurts-” He groused, and you roll your eyes as you start to move, heeled boots on shitty carpet you start to ride him, asking in a breathy but ultimately teasing tone, as if the question was rhetorical, “Better?”
The shaky moan he let out, while incoherent, told you very much so yes.
You start to find your rhythm with riding him, enjoying yourself, angling your hips to grind your clit and that sweet spot inside to get what you wanted out of this sooner rather than later. As his eyes slip closed, and he lets you do what you wanted, allows you to take your anger out on him, you have the thought that like this? When he isn’t running his mouth and when he is letting you ride him as if it is the only thing he was ever good for, he’s actually pretty attractive. Even if he could stand for a haircut.
You wouldn’t tell him that though, again, why give him the satisfaction, especially when you are so concerned about your own pleasure.
Mean jabs and hurtful words left you now, just laboured breathing and moaning as you rode him, intent on seeing to your own end, and he was doing a lot to ensure it actually, moving with you, rocking up into you, seeing to your satisfaction and enjoyment in a way you’d almost call uncharacteristic of him. After two seconds of thought, though, it’s obvious he was getting just as much out of this.
The build of it isn’t quick per se, but it’s steady, one of those orgasms that builds in almost a steady arc, not really any valleys, just a consistent climb, up and up, until your pace becomes a bit uneven, thighs shaking, breath stuttering until it culminates and you cum. Your fingers are still in his hair, but there isn’t any serious tension there, no longer holding taut, grinding down onto him, shallow, fast thrusts of him in and out halfway as you ride out your bliss with a quiet and singular, “Yes.” on your tongue.
You squeeze all you can out of your orgasm before you slow to a stop. Your eyes open, and you huff out a, “Fuck, I needed that.”
And next? You get up. You stand, slip him out and swing your leg back over, getting off of him and breaking away.
You are reaching down, going to fix your underwear and slide it back up, and he asks, “Uh, what are you doing?”
Eyes flick to him, a confused look on his face and his dick still out, painfully hard and soaked from you, “Well we still have a project to finish, I was gonna get back to work and then hopefully go back to my dorm to crash.”
“What about me?” He asked, and you respond with a smile, a slight cock of your head, “What about you Jason?”
Your eyes drop, you are pulling your underwear back up when you feel it. His hand locked on your bicep and then him yanking on you, pulling you over to the desk, and then he pushes you down, hands finds your hips, and he moves you to his liking. One is on the back of your thigh and pushing your leg up, knee finds purchase on hardwood, and he is leaning down, his chest to your back, you feel his hair on the back of your neck, lips brush by your ear, “Yeah you are not gonna leave me with blue balls sorry.”
He is slipping back inside, and you arch back into him, a shared moan spills forth, “You took your anger out on me, so now I’m going to do the same.”
Second-best idea he’s had all night. Well you thought that until later on he was going down on you post fuck, making you cum on his tongue until you were almost sobbing, but that is something else entirely.
You ended up staying in the editing bay all night but by the end of it you had the project done and, reluctantly, a new fuck buddy. At least Jason Carvey turned out to be good for something.

Hello. One of my spring courses has given us our booklist before the semester starts (though we do not have the syllabi yet, so I'm not sure how many of these books I need to read). I'm struggling with wanting to read the entire book because the subjects are so interesting, and with only want to read what I need for the class. Any tips?
Girls in Finance project server // other posts
Hey there! I totally get the struggle between diving deep into those intriguing subjects and figuring out what's a must-read for class. It's like having a buffet of knowledge, but not being sure which dishes are the professors' favorites!
Here are some tips that I would recommend:
Remind yourself of your motivation: Keep the big picture in mind. Remind yourself of the broader goals you aim to achieve through the course. Knowing how the readings contribute to your overall understanding and skill development can be a strong motivator.
Break down your goals into manageable tasks: Celebrate small achievements to stay motivated throughout the semester. Remember that a genuine interest in the subject matter can fuel your motivation to engage with the readings, making the learning experience more enjoyable.
Prioritize Based on Syllabus: Once you receive the syllabi, prioritize readings based on what is explicitly mentioned as required or recommended. This will help you focus on the essential material for your coursework.
Identify Key Topics: Look for key topics or themes in the course description or any introductory material. Focus on readings related to these topics, as they are likely to be central to the course.
Time Management: Assess your schedule and allocate time for both required readings and additional exploration. This way, you can strike a balance between covering the necessary material and delving deeper into topics that interest you.
Stay Flexible: Understand that the syllabus might evolve, and additional readings may be introduced during the semester. Stay flexible in your approach and be ready to adjust your reading priorities as needed.
Engage with Classmates: Discussing readings with classmates can provide insights into what others find valuable or interesting. This can help you make informed decisions about which readings to prioritize.
Utilize Reading Techniques: If time is limited, consider skimming or using techniques like SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) to efficiently absorb information from the readings.
Remember that the primary goal is to succeed in your coursework, but there's also value in exploring topics that genuinely interest you. Finding the right balance will contribute to both academic success and happiness in what you do! <3
Always reach out if you need anything!
Love, Sophia

Hey Reid, really random question, but what do you discuss in office hours generally?
For context, I'm a new undergrad student (on a joint English, drama, and creative studies course, I know this isnt your department but it's not too relevant) and we've been sent forms to fill in about what we want to discuss with our personal tutor in our first meeting with them. I have no idea what you're supposed to talk about in these sessions and as the semester's only just started we're not yet doing assessments, coursework or big projects at all. Plus, as a joint honours student I don't know whether I can talk about my other subject well with her or not as she's only from one subject's department.
The only thing I was thinking I could talk about would be the fact that it's become clear already that my passion in the subjects is completely different to everyone else's on my course (there's only about a dozen of us in the classes for one of my departments) and I guess that leaves me a little directionless so maybe something about careers to do with that but I feel like it's such early doors to start discussing careers.
Anyway yeah, as someone who has already been there and who I believe is now doing it too (if wrong, sorry!) do you have any general recommendations of what students can talk about in office hours with their personal tutors or other teachers? Thank you!
Psst, I'm going to tell you a secret: the vast majority of students do not actually come to office hours. Even though they should! It literally cannot hurt! And coming to office hours is a great opportunity to build rapport with your instructor/TA and get academic help! But out of the approximately 300 student's I've had, I've met with maybe 10 of them.
I say this not to be cynical, but to drive home the point that you are winning by just showing up. You don't have to come with a list of perfectly prepared questions—you're a student, and you are, by definition, learning! Do the readings and assignments, and engage with your instructor.
Now, I'm not sure how your program works, and you say tutor rather than TA, so the etiquette might be a little different. A tutor is there to help you academically, while a TA is there to answer some questions, but by and large you are expected to be in charge of your own learning experience.
As a TA, I'm generally happy to meet with students by appointment, but I also really appreciate it when students are able to understand that I am 1) a human being with a finite amount of time and energy, and 2) my job is to support you but not hold your hand. Your section may not be the only one your TA is responsible for, and they also have their own studies to attend to.
Here are some things that are appropriate to ask from your TA:
To look over a paper draft and offer feedback (provided this is something they have offered to do as part of their job)
Request feedback on an assignment after your grade to know what you could do better next time
Schedule a meeting to discuss topics you are struggling with
And some things that are not appropriate to ask your TA:
Questions where the answers can be found on the syllabus (due dates, percentage of grades for certain assignments, the readings for a given week)
When will I get my grade? (See my above point about being only human. If assignments have been turned in, assume your TA is working on getting them back to you, and that they cannot do so immediately. Give it at least two weeks before checking in)
Asking for a particular grade on an assignment
As for your first meeting with your tutor/instructor/TA, I'll reiterate: just show up! Introduce yourself, say hi, and don't feel too much pressure to hit the ground running.
Here are some posts I've made that you might find relevant:
Tips to make your professors love you
Student conduct
Citation how-to
Thank your professors
Take a deep breath. I sense that you might be someone who puts a lot of pressure on themselves to be perfect. Nobody else is expecting that from you. You're learning, and it's okay to be unsure and make mistakes! Trust in yourself to do your best in the moment; that's all you can do.
-Reid

Never in my life will I tell anyone else that their feelings or experience with homeschooling are incorrect or invalid or wrong. What I will say is that homeschooling can be and is done right, and that I think I was lucky enough to experience it myself.
My mother was a kindergarten teacher before she had kids, and worked as a nanny once I was born so she could stay with me more. By the time I was ready for kindergarten (my birthday is in August, I was barely 5) we were living in the middle of nowhere and I would have had an hour round trip bus ride every day. Our state had few laws prohibiting homeschooling, and this was literally what my mom's degree was in, so she just taught me.
We moved a couple years later, and by the time we hit the upper years of my mom's ed degree we had enrolled in the local school district's homeschooling supervision program. Every year my mother made a list of the curriculum she had chosen for me (and eventually my two brothers) and turned it in to a certified teacher who was assigned to supervise us. We did pretty much anything you can think of. English was separated into reading and writing (so many different books and so many essays oh my god), math (with a textbook fear not), history (my mom pulled out weird Manifest Destiny books out and added extra books from indigenous authors), science (I got my iPod taken away for pretending to do my work when I didn't lmao), and so many field trips and fun things that are so much easier to do when most kids are in school.
We participated in the weekly class that the supervision program offered starting when I was in 5th grade. Every Wednesday afternoon we would spend 3 hours with other homeschooled kids, doing theatre, art, or some kind of history or science project depending on the time of year. The middle and high school groups put on a full play in a semester every year. A few other kids and I who were supervised by the same teacher formed a little club and made our parents let us meet up a second time a week and we got to help make the play sets and generally were little nerds.
In middle school I started taking classes at our public middle school. I was there for math because my supervising teacher had me take a placement test when my mom decided to change math curriculums and they had decided I was ready for Algebra a little early. I also went for choir, because I liked to sing. I ended up taking math at the public school all the way through high school because our district had an advanced math track that let me take Algebra 2, Pre calc, and Calc AB in 3 years and I liked math too much to say no to that. I also took 4 years of Spanish, AP Lang, chemistry, art, theater, and lots of choir.
I had friends at school and I had friends at my homeschool stuff. I got to do a year of history curriculum learning about the early day of the Christian church. My freshman year of high school the writing part of my English curriculum was literally to write a novel. It sounds crazy looking back on it but it was so much fun, and I learned literally so much, which was indeed the point.
When the pandemic hit in the spring of my junior year our public schools all closed for the year. We kept homeschooling. I took all my senior year public school classes from our basement. It was hard, but not all that different than what I did with my other subjects. I started college in the fall of 2021 and discovered that it's really very similar to what I had already been doing. Go learn from the professor. Do your work on your own time. Come back, get feedback, and do it again.
I move in for my senior year of college in a week. There's a lot of discussions about pretty much every aspect of education happening in the world, from the pandemic to asynchronous classes to homeschooling and indoctrination to free lunches. There's a lot of bad homeschoolers out there, and there's a lot of kids who were never taught what they needed to learn to be successful adults. This is just what me and my family did. It definitely shaped me as a person, but as I'm getting older it's becoming less important to my life, which to me signals that my parents and various teachers did a good job.
#homeschool#long post#this is literally stream of thought#i have lots of feelings about my life versus a lot of horror stories about homeschooling on the internet#it was honestly so slay got to do a ton of cool stuff

Waving! I’m new to the DC fandom, but I just had thoughts and wanted to share them! Kind of detailing the way I… should have realized all along that DC would be a massive part of my life.
It started when I was a kid, like eight years old or so. I went to this afterschool care place because my parents worked long into the afternoon and I wasn’t allowed to be home by myself at that age (understandably). But I was a really nerdy kid. I didn’t want to hang out with other people, I wanted to read. So that’s what I did. The afterschool care had a selection of about twelve books to read (throughout the seven years I went there) and one of those books was a book version of the first time Catwoman and Batman met. That was one of my favorite books for such a long time and I would read it over and over again. (Remember: there were also only about twelve options to choose from.) (And my family didn’t have the time to go to bookstores.)
I think that’s where the fascination began, but once I left that place, I tucked the DC/Batman-loving part of me away. I forgot about it and focused on surviving middle school.
I watched Teen Titans sometimes over the crappy On Demand program my family’s TV had, but I was never able to catch more than a few episodes at a time and never able to finish any important arcs (looking at you, Robin-Slade apprenticeship). Teen Titans was also a huge part of my life while I watched it. I have fond memories of waiting for my mom to come home from parties and watching Teen Titans late into the night.
But then I stopped watching. I had to focus on surviving high school and the craziness that came with that. Little did I know, DC would follow me to college as well.
I’m a college student now and one of my first classes was an English class, naturally. By a stroke of chance, the original professor quit and had to have his place filled by another professor. This professor had a focus on comics and how they affect society and literature, so he focused on that throughout our semester together.
For our final project, we had to read The Dark Knight Returns series together in class and write a thesis on how it discussed different aspects of power and fascism. That changed my brain and I became somewhat obsessed with The Batman for a short time.
But then life caught up with me again. Things were difficult (for many reasons) but I held that part of me that loved comics and The Batman close to my chest. I hadn’t forgotten it, but I just couldn’t focus on it then.
Then, bless my friend, they introduced me to Wayne Family Adventures and my life genuinely changed. I feel like writing essays, writing fanfiction, making cosplay, and I genuinely live and appreciate life in a new lens now. I’ve officially been in the fandom for less than a month, but in some ways I feel like I’ve been here all my life. It was just waiting for me :]
Anyways, I don’t know if anyone is going to read this, but that was just a silly retrospective of my life through the lens of DC media. I hope to make some amazing things and hopefully stay here for a long long time :]

Reading This Week 2024 #9-19: catching up on the past few months
Hm. Well. I'm not judging myself because I fell behind on tracking my reading for a reason. School got intense! And I'm back to trying to track my reading now because I turned in my last project of the semester, and I should get this out of the way before I start up a summer job. Because this is going to be a long one I'm going to break my own formatting a bit and start with my ongoing/current reads and my thoughts on them. Then I'm going to put the as-exhaustive-as-I-can-tolerate list of completed reading under a readmore so I don't completely kill your dash
Current/Ongoing Reads:
True Biz by Sara Nović I'm over halfway through this and I'm having trouble not blazing through it at lightspeed because the chapters are short and readable. It's basically about three people at a school for the Deaf in Ohio, two students, one new, one very entrenched, and then also the headmistress. I'm endeared by the characters. I find the interludes between narrative chapters that are essentially fun fact sheets on ASL and Deaf culture interesting, especially in a book where a lot of the dialogue is translated and transliterated ASL, but honestly it feels jarring! It makes it feel like its trying really hard to be a Good and Informative book about Deaf people for a hearing reader, instead of letting itself exist as a good and relatable book for and about Deaf people, as written by a Deaf author. I am reading this for the Queer Lit book club that I attend.
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, audiobook narrated by Rachel Dulude Very early on in the audiobook for this. Reading for my SFF bookclub. One of the people there apparently really dislikes this book which will make for an interesting discussion. Off the top of my head thoughts it has that tone that's really endemic to current SFF that I don't really like, so we'll see if this book gets past that for me once plot and character arcs start kicking in
Reading plans:
as the above indicates I'm trying to keep up with my local monthly SFF and Queer Lit bookclubs! I'm also going to be trying to read along with Shelved by Genre's Junji Ito unit like I did for their readthrough of Earthsea, gonna dip my toes into some horror. I'm going to try finishing Living Alone by Stella Benson which I was supposed to read for a class earlier this year but I read half of and then abandoned. A friend has recommended I check out The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu so I've gotten that out from the library, and I have a whole bunch of books on my book shelf that I actually own and need to start getting through now that I'm not in classes everyday
The last 2 and a half months of reading I did:
Read: "Scientific Racism and the Emergence of the Homosexual Body" by Siobhan Somerville The Farthest Shore by Ursula K. Le Guin, audiobook narrated by Rob Inglis The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. omg you’re in creative writing?? thats what i want to major in after i do my basics here in my home town!!
what’s it like?? idk anyone who’s been in a creative writing class (i’m the only one in my family that likes to write for fun lmao) so i have no one to go to for questions!
is it super hard and like,,,very demanding?? if that makes sense?? do you get to write some of your own stuff or do you have to follow a certain prompt/story line..?
feel free to ignore if you don’t want to answer! no hard feelings :))
I love it, but it was definitely nervewracking for me at first!
My school doesn't offer creative writing as a major but we do have a certificate program, which is four classes that start with like "intro to creative writing" and get a bit more specific as you go along. They've all been structured sort of the same way, which is that for the first few weeks of the semester we read published stories and discuss them in class to analyze them for craft, and then we start workshopping. For most of my classes there's been two rounds of workshops, so you submit a story, your workshop class comes around, you get about a half hour or so of everyone in class discussing what did/didn't work for them in your story, and ofc you do the same for everyone else. Then I've usually had a few weeks before my other story was due. I'm not sure if this is the same as what crw classes are like elsewhere.
For me, workshops have been a fairly stressful experience, but for the most part that's had more to do with me being anxious about sharing my writing than anything actually justifiable haha. There's a shared vulnerability that comes with reading everyone's work and knowing they're reading yours, and most everyone in my workshops has been super kind about their feedback and critiques always go beyond "I don't like this" into something a lot more workable and constructive. I have had one bad prof who had a very narrow view of writing (he thought Hemmingway was the only good writer and that's what we should all strive for) and he sort of ruined that class for me, so I will say that if you're signing up for creative writing classes, looking into the professors is a must! Finding someone who's style might line up with yours or even who other students just say is open-minded will make your experience so much better.
This also def depends on the professor, but I haven't found them very demanding! Usually I have a few weeks to write a story about whatever I want (unless I want to just submit one I've already written), and for me they've never been longer than 5k words. Ofc in between that you're reading other stories written by your peers and published authors, and I suppose it depends on the workload you're accustomed to but I've always found crw classes to be my lightest ones (also because the reading is usually so fun!)
My workshops have definitely helped me grow a bit more backbone when it comes to absorbing criticism and also just accepting the vulnerability that comes with sharing your work, but overall my favorite part has been making friends with other writers. There were a few people who I had multiple classes with throughout a few semesters, and we'd sometimes meet to work on our projects, and just getting to chat about writing with people who think similarly is so fun! Like you said, it can be hard to find people who really get it sometimes, so of all the ways that my crw classes have been great for me, those discussions have been my favorite part :)

YES, I HAVE UPDATED! It's been almost a full year, which is wild. I had accidentally deleted the entire ending I had drafted out, which really put a damper on wanting to finish this. But I got over it, and we should be on track to complete this soon enough! HOWEVER, since it HAS been so long, I have created a summary so you don't have to re-read everything (unless you'd like to!) Spoilers under cut!
19 year old college student Noel Cerquetti is starting her first year at Lhaplus College of the Arts… again.
The semester is coming to a close, and all first year music students are competing for not just the best grade in finals, but the position of pianist at the city’s yearly devil cleansing ceremony. Noel is certain she’s going to win when she realizes that her finals recording has been switched with another student. When she goes to complain to Dean Burrows, she’s instead told to withdraw from the music program entirely by Monday, or be expelled and blacklisted.
Noel decides to drink her woes away for the night. Unfortunately, Jillian has a date, so she heads back to the apartment they share with the volatile artist Spica alone. Spica warns Noel about her art project on the floor before going to her boyfriend’s for the night. Noel thinks nothing of the painted red runic circle as she sips vodka on the couch until, just before midnight, Spica’s stereo clicks on at max volume. Stumbling to get the remote to silence it, something falls off the end table and shatters—and Noel is no longer alone.
The Great Devil Caron has appeared, and is not too pleased at the first ever accidental summoning. He tells Noel he’ll let the insult slide if she’s also able to give him a reason to be there. Noel is too wary to make a demonic contract, but she explains the issue she’s having to him. When she stands up to fetch evidence of Spica’s set-up, she falls and lands directly on him—and he realizes that she doesn’t have legs.
Noel explains that she was hit by a drunk driver the previous year and ended up losing both legs. Caron immediately suspects that the accident is linked to what Noel is currently going through. He points out that Spica was almost certainly expecting that he would kill her, and thus Noel’s life is currently in danger once more. He offers to protect her and work with her to solve the mystery, but Jillian’s homecoming interrupts the discussion.
Noel wakes up the next day to Caron sitting in her bed, reading her diary. He smugly informs her that she agreed to a contract while black out drunk after having more wine with Jillian. Noel has the strange impression that he’s lying, but decides to take him at face value and work with him to find out who wants her dead, and why.
They hide in the attic in hopes of convincing Spica that she might have been successful after all. While there, they discover old yearbooks that show a pattern of dying students all in the first year piano class who had been predicted to be the next ceremonial pianist. Noel suspects that the ceremony itself is the key, and agrees to take Caron to the college library that night to search for more information.
They head over in the unusual, bitter cold at nightfall. Caron goes to break in the building when Noel is caught by her friend Fugo Dressel, who is helping his brother Oscar out by taking a security shift. Caron knocks him out and is prepared to leave him there, but Noel begs him not to, so he carries him into the library as well.
The pair is searching for a key to the basement archives when Fugo wakes up and attacks, revealing that he’s a demon who has made a devil’s contract. He warns Noel that devils always lie and that she’s in danger—but provides a great deal of that danger himself by angrily hurling fire around the room. Oscar Dressel appears and brings an end to the fight, sending Noel and Caron to meet up with them at his house later as he prepares to hide the cause of the fires.
While waiting for the brothers to return, Noel and Caron talk. Noel realizes he was injured trying to put out the fires because she’d said she didn’t want to cause any destruction. She’s confused as to why he would do that for her, and he’s confused as to why she starts crying over it. Through this discussion, they begin to understand each other a bit better. Jillian’s phone call interrupts them, and Noel tells her where they are without thinking. Jillian declares that she’s heading over as Caron groans at more people getting involved.
The Dressel brothers arrive on a short break in their now extended security shift. Noel explains what’s going on. Oscar tells her that the books they were looking for aren’t even in the library anymore, but had been taken to the performance hall. Fugo is less calm about the situation, and asks Noel if she actually remembers making a contract with Caron. She admits that she doesn’t, but before she can ask him what he means, he and Oscar need to return to work.
While waiting for Jillian to arrive next, Caron admits that he is lying to Noel, but won’t explain what or why just yet. Despite this, he asks her to trust him. She says that she can’t just yet, but that she will choose to believe in him.
Jillian arrives, and Noel begins to explain what’s happening once more. Upon hearing that Noel is involved with a devil, Jillian begins to have a panic attack, which worsens when Caron appears. She faints after taking medication, and they carry her to the guest room upstairs. Noel is exhausted and knows Caron must be as well, but there’s only one guest room left. She suggests they share it, and he agrees.
While preparing for bed, Caron offers Noel his shirt to sleep in. At that moment, she realizes that she is extremely attracted to him, and that’s at least part of why she feels strangely around him. While in bed, without her prosthetic legs, she admits out loud that clearly, she does trust him. He thanks her, and after a sly comment, she realizes that he’s flirting with her. She confesses to flirting back, and the two laugh and begin to cuddle. As she falls asleep, Noel realizes she’s very happy to be with him, even though the relationship is moving so quickly.
Jillian awakens the next morning and learns that Fugo also wants to get Caron away from Noel. They decide to work together, and plan to go to the Performance Hall to find a book on devil exorcism. Jillian goes to speak to Noel and walks in on her wearing only Caron’s shirt. After an awkward conversation, Jillian leaves, and Noel heads back to bed for a little more sleep while Caron does research on her smartphone.
Jillian and Fugo head through an unusual morning fog to the Performance Hall, which is empty and in the midst of a power outage. Fugo takes a brief moment to confront Jillian about her devotion to Noel, telling her that she needs to live her own life. At first, Jillian is angry, but she starts to realize that he really cares about her as a friend and wants her to be happy. They easily find the devil tomes from the library, but Jillian realizes that she won’t be able to read any of them—they’re all written in infernal script. Fugo leaves her there to meet up with Oscar briefly and return the campus keys he’s stolen. Jillian is distracted by a strange blue and white book, but before she can touch it, Dean Burrows appears.
The Dean calmly explains to Jillian that Noel is lying to her, and that the story of an accidental summoning is nonsense. He tells her that Noel is in great danger from Caron, but that he considers it his duty as Dean to help save Noel. Jillian is convinced, and sends text messages to Noel asking her to take a certain path to the Performance Hall. Once done, Dean Burrows takes her phone and smugly admits that he’s lied about everything. He tells Jillian he needs her to perform a ceremony for him that night, and that he’s taking Noel as a hostage to be sure she behaves before he locks her in the room.
Jillian panics again, but this time faints from hyperventilating rather than her medication. She has a strange dream of resting on a large man’s lap as he strokes her hair and reassures her that her mistakes are not insurmountable. When she wakes up, the door has mysteriously opened and Fugo is there. She tells him of Burrow’s plan to attack Noel, and they hurry out to try and find her before it’s too late.
Noel and Caron are heading to the Performance Hall when Noel is grazed by a bullet and Caron is injured. They manage to mislead their attacker, and end up in the Performance Hall as a sudden thunderstorm hits. Without thinking, Noel kisses Caron. He heals Noel, but as payment, he bites her, leaving an affectionate mark. They hear piano playing upstairs, and head to the ballroom where they meet with Professor Becker.
Professor Becker explains to Noel that Caron was responsible for her accident. He had made a contract with the driver that made him unable to make his own choices, and Professor Becker had ordered him to hit Noel with his car. Noel denies Professor Becker’s reading of the situation and scolds her for using Caron’s devil’s morals to dodge her own responsibility in the man’s death. Professor Becker then explains her own contract with Caron that had removed her emotions, but Noel is still able to declare that she trusts Caron regardless of what he’s done in his past. The professor goes on to explain that the pair don’t even have a contract, and that Caron has been using her to find the tomes with his summoning circle inside. He confesses that it’s true, but denies her allegations that he is planning on destroying and discarding Noel. Noel once again makes the choice to trust him.
Spica appears with a mind controlled Ribelio and an electric weapon that is able to knock Caron out. They take Noel’s phone, and Professor Becker leaves, telling Spica to do whatever she wants with them as long as Noel stays alive. Spica tortures them for a while, and admits to Noel that she’s jealous of her because she doesn’t understand who she is or where she came from. She continues to shock Caron, and orders Ribelio to tear out Noel’s eye. At her second order, to pull off an arm, Ribelio is able to break the mind control briefly, and while Spica is dealing with him, Caron moves to cover Noel with his own body. He apologizes for not being able to get them out of the situation, and she tells him that she loves him. He says he doesn’t understand why, everything is moving so quickly, but she is everything to him.
Jillian and Fugo arrive back at the Performance Hall due to another sudden, intense storm. They’re able to charge Fugo’s phone at a battery stand. He has received a message from Noel’s phone. They’re both immediately suspicious, and when they hear a loud crash, Fugo heads to investigate while telling Jillian to call Oscar as soon as the phone has enough battery.
Fugo arrives in the ballroom and is quickly attacked by Ribelio and Spica. His opinion on Caron flips completely as he realizes he’s using his own badly hurt body to protect Noel. Jillian appears and is able to hit Spica with Fugo’s phone. Oscar appears, knocking Ribelio out, and orders Jillian, Noel and Caron escape.
The trio head to the local hotel, which is in the off-season, and set up in an empty room on the top floor. Jillian and Caron argue over him needing a price to heal Noel, and she suggests he take it from her, instead. Caron refuses, stating that Jillian belongs to someone else, and asks her if she’s aware of who stands behind her. Unsure what he means, Jillian leaves to get supplies.
Caron heals Noel, but is unable to save her eye. He tells her that she can pay in installments, and hints that he’d like her to kiss him again. She scolds him that it’s unfair as she wanted to do that anyway. They’re able to discuss Caron’s reasons for searching for the tomes to find a new kind of person to summon him instead of the same boring requests. He admits what actually happened their first night together, and how her first offhand comment of “I need help” and wariness to make an actual contract, followed by a later drunken ‘thank you,’ showed that she wasn’t like his usual contractors—exactly what he was looking for. They bond for a bit before taking a romantic bath together.
Meanwhile, Oscar and Fugo interview a now-conscious Ribelio. He explains how he came to be under Spica’s mind control, and that the woman isn’t a devil, but isn’t quite human, either, having strange powers and growing up to an adult in a terrifyingly short amount of time. He informs them that Spica and Burrows have some kind of relationship, and that he’s the reason they’re now both college students, but that he has no idea what they have planned.
Jillian is engaged in some serious self loathing during her supply run in the cold rain, finally admitting to herself that Caron really does love Noel, and that her feelings towards her will never be requited. She’s drowning in misery when the mysterious stranger from her dream appears again, gently chiding her to warm up. She obediently gets coffee and hands him some as well, which he drinks, revealing that he truly is there and is not a dream. He begins to escort her back to the hotel as she asks him questions, and unexpectedly says his name; revealing him as the Eternal Devil Caesar, who says he is there to save her life as Head Security Officer Jino and others approach.
At the hotel, Noel has a vivid nightmare that she has committed a devil summoning, and her limbs are ripped off. She realizes that in her dream, Caron was the one to do it, and decides not to tell him the details as he comforts her. The Dressel brothers have arrived. Oscar discusses the strange weather and points out that his radio is no longer working, but Fugo interrupts, pointing out that Jillian has now been gone for three hours. At that moment, there’s a knock, and they open the door to reveal Jillian and Caesar.
Jillian helps Noel get dressed as she quickly explains how she ran into Caesar, and how, despite him being a devil who knows far more than he should, she’s completely unafraid of him. They join everyone in the main room and begin to discuss what has happened so far.
Caesar explains what he knows of Dean Burrow’s plans. He tells them that Jillian and Noel are being targeted specifically because of an innate talent they have that gives their piano playing the power to summon or cleanse devils. He offers Noel sheet music that can expel all devils in Lhaplus, which she adamantly refuses, and says that she won’t lose Caron again. Everyone is confused by her phrasing, but when she tries to deny it as having simply misspoke, Caesar explains that it is not the case, and that Noel is beginning to remember things that she should not.
He tells them that this is not their first meeting, and that, in another world, Noel had summoned Caron when tricked into a contract, and that Caron had removed her limbs as payment. Noel begins to flash back to her nightmare, and starts to have a panic attack as she loses feeling in her hands. Caesar is able to stop her panic attack as he had for Jillian and continues to explain their first meeting. Noel had been seeking vengeance on Burrows in that world, and to stop her, Jillian had summoned Caesar. He explains how curious he had found Jillian’s choice to give up her five senses to save Noel, and how strong Noel and Caron, who had been the one to mutilate her, had become together. He tells them he had abandoned his contract with Jillian because of that, and should have been destroyed for it.
Instead, Caesar found himself wandering from world to world, always observing Jillian. In one world, Jillian called out his name as she was dying, despite having no reason to know of him in it. He is unexpectedly moved by her death, and decides to begin interfering in the next worlds to prevent it. He explains that he is not all powerful, and that in using too much power at times, he’s almost been destroyed. He warns Noel, who casually wonders aloud what a peaceful life with Caron would look like, to stop, because she is in danger of causing her mind to overload with memories that aren’t truly hers. Fugo interrupts, and that’s where chapter 36 begins!
