The crowd's screams escalated to an excited, feverish pitch. Neil assumed the mascots had shown up to rile the stands. He glanced past Wymack, still half-listening to the lecture, and followed pointing fingers. A bracketed VIP section was alongside the press box between the Foxes' benches and the Vixen squad. A couple bodyguards were checking the crowd for potential threats, but they moved back out of the way when their charges were comfortable. Neil's world slowed to a crawl at the sight of black tattoos and dark hair. Wymack snapped his fingers in Neil's face. Neil flinched so hard he rocked back into Kevin. He darted a quick look up at Wymack, mouth open on an apology he didn't have the breath for, but Wymack didn't wait for it. He whipped around to scour the inner ring. It took him almost no time at all to spot Riko and Jean. When he turned back his expression was darker than Neil had ever seen it. The Foxes saw them too, and Matt was the first to react with a furious, "What are they doing here?" "I'll ask, "Andrew said, and started that way. Wymack hauled him to a stop before he could get more than a step away from the Foxes' huddle. "You are not allowed to kill anyone the first game of the season. Worry less about him and more about your offense line, got me? Focus, Kevin. You too, Neil. Neil," he said, louder. "Eyes on me." Neil realized he was looking at Riko again. He dragged his gaze back to Wymack's face. Wymack looked angry, but Neil knew Wymack too well by now. That anger was born of genuine worry. Neil chose to interpret it as disappointment instead because that was easier to motivate himself with. The Foxes needed him tonight. He couldn't let Riko get to him. Neil caught tight of every bad memory that was snarling at his ear and shoved it deep. "I'm starting to think he likes me after all," Neil said with forced nonchalance.

WIBTA if I silently held a grudge against my parents for a few days/weeks? Nothing too serious, I care about them both!

Im MtF 17, my parents are in their mid-40s and within the past few years have finally been able to let loose a lot more since Im old enough to take care of myself without parental supervision.

Today was 4th of July and while I don't celebrate it as a holiday, I do enjoy the fireworks and the vibes my family bring to the table during the day until we all clock out for bed. Almost every 4th, since my cousins birthday is in the same week, we go to my aunt & uncles house & that's currently where we are.

Neither of my parents have drinking issues or bad drinking habits; My dad hasnt touched alcohol since late march/early april and my mom, even longer. Today my mom decided to drink something thats a big favourite of hers, okay thats fine, but she also got in the pool. My dad, who had been drinking beer, and I had to help her out at roughly almost 7 pm(were CST).

My cousin, and his BIL, started fireworks while I was nursing my sick mom. By the time I got my mom into bed and was able to go outside and try to see the fireworks, it was over.

so, I would like to know:

WIBTA for holding this against my parents for a short amount of time since I enjoy the colours of fireworks?

I know some of you found out the news later than others, and it's still very raw for you. I'm sending so much love your way, I know you had less support than some of us when you found out and that's got to feel terribly lonely. I've talked to some folks who were fine yesterday, and not okay today, and vice versa. Just know we are here luvs, we are here, and we're happy to talk. We're all going to be grieving for a while. So please be kind to yourselves. Give yourself some grace, it's okay if you can't do much right now. It's okay if you don't finish that gif set, or that artwork, or that fic. It's okay if all you do is get by today. You are doing enough. It's okay if you need to have distractions so you're doing twice as much as you did before. Distraction can help a lot with nervous energy. Give yourself room to be creative, and to let your mind wander, it could use a break. Take some time to laugh if you can. Laughter really can be healing. I wish I had some advice for tonight. I wish I had some better words of encouragement, I know it's all very hard right now for everyone.
