I always felt that she-ra used the worldbuilding more as a plot device than a setting because the focus and theming of the show were the characters. The worldbuilding was flat but I never found it that interesting to want to know more.

So I guess you want to go into that show with the attitude "I don't care about the alien civilizations of this show, I want to know if these lesbians forgive each other"

I get where you're coming from, but the thing is that my main umbrage with the whole "saturday morning war" stripe of cartoons is the ways in which they're laundering the earth-shattering human costs of war by hyperfocusing in on the weekly adventures of a handful of Characters Who Matter and their Cool Toys. War without politics, war largely without logistics (until it's convenient for an aesop of some stripe.) She-Ra might have a significantly better-realized Handful of Characters Who Matter but it still has the myopia that bugs me- in fact, the disparity almost makes it worse somehow.
