I just realized there were Stranger Things books until earlier this year, but I haven’t read them yet. It’s funny because I’ve followed the show since 2016, I’m an old fan lol

Should I read those? Are they good?? What do you guys think??

The AOS book More Beautiful Than Death is a ton of fun! I've been having such a good time with it, everyone gets a bit of time to shine which is great. but omg (SPOILERS)

T'Pring coming back into the mix in the way she does?? I was so not expecting that! I'm shook at her plan to kill Spock—even though she did put him in a situation where he had to fight to the death in TOS so honestly it tracks—it's definitely more deranged to take his katra out of his head to put someone else's in 😭 She was the picture of cool logic in Amok Time, I can't help but compare the differences between the universes, like.. the destruction of Vulcan really cracked her 😭😭 AOS may not be the darkest timeline (mirrorverse exists, after all) but it certainly is quite a bit darker than TOS, huh?

Other good things:

Kirk clocking that Scotty's been inflating his time estimates for repairs and things because Spock simultaneously gives an estimate that's only 1/4 of the time

Spock's vulcan strength on full display!!

Scotty getting away from the invaders by BLASTING through the innards of the Enterprise and guesstimating his way to engineering, where he emerges from the WALL

Chekov doesn't have a ton to do but he's a whiz with everything as usual and so cute, I love him 🥺

You know it's kind of interesting that ST didn't capitalize on Eddie's popularity more by making a second version of the Hawkins yearbook with him, Chrissy, Jason, etc. If they didn't want to leave out the Byers plus El with them moving to Lenora, they could've made it a combined Hawkins/Lenora yearbook with the back half being the Lenora yearbook.
