Izzy had never been close to her family until recent years, as she and her mother's relationship was strained all throughout her training to become an Olympic figure skater. She'd lost her father when she was little and she wasn't close to her cousins at all. It was Clara who brought her mother and her close again and now that they were living in Aurora Bay in peace, Izzy felt she was in a good place and she wanted to reach out to her cousins and get to know them better. She'd already been spending a lot of time with Valeria, but she wanted to get to know Asher as well.

Izzy was almost nervous to have invited him to lunch but she was happy when he agreed. "Hi! I'm glad you could make it."

Sometimes after a late shift at Seascape, Mateo would find himself at Fire and Ice's bar to grab a drink. He was currently doing that when he heard the man beside him speak. He turned to look at him to give him a sympathetic look, only to realize he knew the man. "What'd you do to them this time?" Mateo teased his friend as he moved to sit next to him.

a late-night get-together with the entirety of the justice department was not on castillo's list of 'things he wanted to do tonight'. however, he was an elected official so there was an expectation of him to be convivial. and to hopefully get another term. so, the man swallowed his pride, donned a respectable suit and tie, and brought himself to fire and ice.

leave it to him to get there early. castillo found himself sitting at the bar, alone, waiting for anyone he knew to enter the restaurant. no such luck yet. his jacket tucked in his lap, cas quickly looked at his phone to see if he had messed up the time. he had been very forgetful lately. grief will do that to you, i guess. but, no. he was just the 'old man overtly on time' trope in this moment. rapping two knuckles on the bar, he summoned the bartender to him. "scotch on the rocks, please?" voice low and gravely.

noticing a figure close to him, also finding themselves at the bar, cas opted to make some sort of small talk. can't withdraw forever, right? "a little sad to be stood up by co-workers, right?" his voice loud enough to hear, but still living comfortably in his low register. "didn't think i was that unlikeable."

If Xelquas in grians house, does that mean the other watchers know where he is?

Well. Uh. 🤔 thinking abt this more than I should, for a silly drawing hahaha

See within the EvoAU timeline I like to think the Watchers find Grian in s8, bc the void messes with him and he starts breaking shit, I think this is how Xelqua finds him too, like ‘oh you’re a grian in extreme distress I help those !!!!!!!’ something abt possession, just Grian things, get possessed. Cracks the world’s code just enough for Watchers to notice, like what the Hell did you players DO (moon big)

But I haven’t fully thought that idea through or around so I haven’t posted abt it much.

So (Grian’s) Watchers are aware of him and Xelqua, but they’re not in the future HC servers. It’s on their radar tho, but Watchers don’t monitor it like they did Evo.

Xelqua’s considered almost a mythological figure to Watchers in every other timeline except his own. Probably Really Weird seeing him.

I think Xelqua buckles when he sees Grian’s Watchers that resemble His own that he no longer has connection to, mix of anger and sadness and misery and childhood aching. There’s still a fight, but y’know.

After Grian and Xelqua are separated, i think Grian manages to make amends with Aether. Even tho Other Watchers rly wanna kill him, they’re not gonna if She says not to. (Flora definitely holds a grunge, plenty others do, Grians definitely never going to be accepted back into Watcher society and is exiled, but as long as he’s alive and safe that’s Fine.) (Aether and Grian do have a long conversation, that’s still her son despite everything)

Xelqua goes in and out as he pleases tho so he’s not always in HC and Watchers can’t keep up with him if he jumps other timelines.

The movement and flow of your art is genuinely immaculate. This is the first time I’ve seen it and wow. Wow wow wow wow wowWOW WOW !!!! It is WONDERFUL TO SEE!! It just feels so pleasant to look at, with the lines and the shapes and all. Not to say that it’s necessarily soothing, it’s great at being eerie too. ARGH . Really good stuff

In this scenario it’s still secret identity stuff bc those shenanigans are so fun. Skylor has so much sibling bullying ammo with actually you make fun of the green ninja all the time but you don’t know it, unfortunately she doesn’t get to put it to use.

Regarding your tag on that horror post: The Shining was one of my fave movies... until I finally read the book and realized how Kubrik removed EVERYTHING that make Shining *Shining*.

It's still artistically good but... it's kinda bland for me now (and it never scared me, but I'm the weird kid who grew up with horror movies as bedtime stories, so I'm desensitized lol)

I remember you mentioning this on twitter when I was tweeting abt the movie!! And I think my younger sibling said something similar?

Idk, I guess I can understand people being into the visuals, bc they’re definitely striking, but the style honestly doesn’t do anything for me personally. And honestly, yeah, besides that it is kinda bland! it really didn’t engage me much. it’s just kind of… unpleasant? tbh? it’s sad and shitty and symmetrical and the best character dies and the movie ends.

but also. I thought of another possibly controversial horror opinion. and that is. the american Ring and Grudge remakes suck
