It's trans Donnie hours. Currently batting around questions of turtle gender, kappa sexual dimorphism, and human vs yokai gender presentation. bc in regular turtles females are flat on bottom and males have a slight concave plastron (so they can valance on top of the shell when fucking) so I made it canon that in kappa (turtle yokai within the rottmnt canon, that the turtles are sometimes referred to as even though they are mutants (so I'm assuming they're similar enough plus the origins of yokai [is] basically the same, since kappa evolved through generations where the turtles took humanization steroids and speedran their evolution)) - gets read as masculine.

/however/being top-heavy like that reads as female to humans. the turtles were mostly socialized as humans and in human culture (as much as they could ve in kind-of hiding, but now they can very much belong in yokai culture

they /are/ afab (kind of, its a bit complicated - turtle chromosomes don't work like human chromosomes and if we run under the assumption that they /did/ get a sry gene from yoshi, something something something no matter how you look at it they're some flavor of intersex), but how much of their turtits situation is coming from their turtle or human side is up in the air

PAIRED. with the opposite yokai/human gender presentation scales here, can make being! any gender kind of complicated! nevermind a trans mutant ninja turtle. so the /real/ question kind of boils down to. when considering presenting a certain gender for society, which side do the turtles put more stock in? (plus the island question)

asking that with leo was easy - he asked what Top Surgery For Turtles^tm and donnie told him that he'd be transing in the wrong direction. Since Leo's never really had a problem with his body anyway he took it at face value and he's fine. Donnie, however. is nonbinary plus transmasc. if talking it from a purely yokai standpoint, he's doing pretty good. but donnie's always put a bit too much stock in others' approval. see: the purple dragons, big mama, etc. and being nonbinary under normal circumstances is shit like. usually.

Some people just. shoot for confusion. but how do you even start when both sides are pretty certain they're right in opposite directions. anyway the concludes my Trans Donnie Hours, thank you for coming to my TEDx talk.

1) What was your first exposure to TMNT?

Ok so I must've encountered the ninja turtles SOMETIME during my childhood. It's one of those things I kinda knew about but didnt care to look into. And I learned recently that my mom didn't like TMNT so I'm guessing she sabotaged my exposure to them growing up /lh. The clearest memory of TMNT that I have was when my honors humanities high school teacher was trying to get us to remember the Renaissance artists.

2) What was your first exposure to Rise?

Hmm. Would you laugh if I told you I sat in the break room of my old retail job, was scrolling on jobsites to try and get me out of that place, came across a job opening at Nickelodeon for character designer for their new show "rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles", thought about how I would redesign the ninja turtles despite having no knowledge of the franchiae, and ultimately decided not to apply bc I lacked faith in myself? (I also lacked the skill but KSJFSJAK)

If only my past self could look at me now.

Ok but for actual exposure to the show, I was sooo late. I think the first I saw of rise was a clip of the S2 finale fight on twitter. I barely remember tho bc that didn't get me to watch the show (surprisingly)

6) Do you own any TMNT merchandise?

Yes! I have some signed posters from Andy Suriano and a splinter and April doodle.

Um oh wow. What to choose. This 100% will change over time especially since I've been cooking lately. I've got a handful of animatics in the work that im REALLY proud of. And my rise/Pokemon au is my personal baby despite me just sharing the tip of the iceberg.

But my silly answer is this. I find this WAAAAY too funny for what it is. I watch on loop anytime I need to get something done.

I'm just tired

A/n: this is a very cute idea. I love it so much. And I'm sorry it took so long. I swear I'm getting to all your guys asks, I've just been in this writers block for like a month. Grrr, it sucks.

Warnings: no one! However, I did use the temperature it was in Canada when I wrote this, which was 35. So whatever that is anywhere else, you guys get to translate it.

Tired. That's what you were. It's not that you were physically, however that was low too, it's that you felt like you were running off a single braincell. Each task you had to do, whether it was homework, doing chores, or just walking around your house, seemed impossible.

Thus you were lying on your bed, trying to nap, but only getting so far as to day dream with your eyes closed. Not to mention it was summer and today just had to be one of the hottest all week. Well above 30.

Grumbling you got up and tried to rearrange your pillows in a way to have the fan blowing on you- it had been tucked away in the back corner of the garage and you had snatched it before one of your family members could. Laying back down on your stomach, head resting on the pillows, you checked your messages.

Donnie: sry gonna have to be over a bit later tonight

You sighed. Of course. And by later, he probably meant tomorrow. Closing your eyes, your thoughts drifted to the purple clad terrapin. You two had been dating for only about a month now, both deciding that after eleven months of 'not' dating, you might as well make it official.

Smacking your pillow, you flipped it over to the cooler side and buried your face into it. You were too tired to deal with this heat. To deal with anything. You growled in frustration and dragged yourself out of bed. It was only 6:30.

Slowly walking to the kitchen, you grabbed a glass of water and pressed your face against it. Sweet relief from the heat. Peeking into your freezer, you grabbed a couple ice cubes and brought them back to your room. You munched on them as you waited.

At around 9 pm, you heard a knock on your bedroom window. "Come in..."

You tiredly watched as Donnie quietly opened your door before slipping in. He paused, a very confused look on his face before you grumbled and he saw you on your mattress on the floor.

"You look miserable," he said, taking his battle shell off and leaving his tech bo by your door. Carefully walking over, he plopped himself on the edge of your bed. He blocked the fan and you hissed at him, batting at his arm until he moved over.

"Gee, thanks," you snapped, sitting up and crossing your legs. Donnie tilted his head at you.

"Are you.... okay? I mean, aside from being hot and "miserable"."

Frowning at him you pinched the bridge of your nose, a headache adding to the list of things agitating you. "I just.... It's been a tough week. With school just starting and teachers already giving out homework.... I'm just tired. And this heat isn't helping."

Donnie studied your face for a moment before wrapping an arm around you. At the same time you heard machinery hiss and click into place. Looking over your shoulder, you saw an a/c installed in your window. You gave Donnie a shocked look.

"How-"

"Don't worry about it, love."

Being as strong as he is (shhh ignore the one episode where he couldn't lift a table. Look at his armsssss) he picked you up and lifted you into his lap, scooting on your bed till his shell was against the wall. He leaned on it and you moved until you could rest your head on his upper plastron.

Donnie chuckled as you snuggled into him and he brought a hand down to gently rub your back, soothing away any worries.

"You're doing great. And if you're tired, it's okay to take a break."

"Says the guy who collapsed from exhaustion yesterday-" He kissed you abruptly to shut you up. Pulling away he had a slight blush on his snout.

"We don't need to mention that," he chuckled nervously and gently ran his fingers through your hair. Working with his hands a lot definitely means he can give a good head massage.

You gave him a final smirk before closing your eyes as he gently scratched your scalp. You felt safe, and cozy, and still tired. But this tired felt better. Like when you woke up you'd actually feel rested.

Plus, with him working that magic on your head, there was no way you'd stay awake for long.

As you drifted off, you heard him whisper.

"I love you, Darling."

alright the people have spoken! With an overwhelming 90%, y’all wanted to see Tendrils chapter two. I’m halfway through writing it and it’s gonna contain some serious action! So below is a sneak peek. Thank for being so patient with me <3

Chapter 2: Kraang Train

TW for this chapter: canon typical violence, Descriptions of tentacles, again avoid if you’re squeamish

[Take care y’all, if u know said thing may trigger you please don’t hesitate to skip this one. Things will settle down around chapter 4]

    “Raph? You okay?” He hears April's voice call, soft but still audible. It came from a distance, somewhere to the right and up. Raph rubbed his head a bit. He dusted off his knees as he stood up. Nothing seemed broken besides the dull soreness of falling down who knows how many steps. He sure didn’t know, he couldn’t see.

    “Yeah, I’m ok,” Raph not-whispered back. The snapper shoved his hands in front of him, hoping to find the wall or something before he could trip again. He shuffled forward a bit, taking a lot more caution with each step. 

    Squech! Raph stepped directly into a puddle of something goopy and cold. “Oh gross! I think I stepped in someone’s drink!”

    “Eeewwww,” He heard April reply

    “Raph! Quiet!” Ok that was definitely Donnie. 

    “It’d be easier to be quiet if I could see where I’m going,” He replied, only half listening as he hopped around on one foot trying to shake the wet feeling off. Suddenly a burst of light illuminated where he was standing, temporarily blinding him. He rapidly stuck out his arms, trying and failing to stay upright. 

    “Donnie, don’t shine that in my eyes!” Raph heard his surrogate sister complain, no longer bothering to use a quiet voice. 

    “Well I didn’t know you were right there,” Donnie huffed. Raph had to take a moment for the sunspots in his vision to clear. He spotted Donnie standing just one step off the bottom. Two repurposed stadium lights peaked from his battle shell, casting everything around them in harsh bluelight. April was standing just a little in front of him, glasses now hanging from the neck of her shirt as she rubbed her eyes. She blinked a couple times, probably trying to adjust to the sudden blinding display. 

    “Where the heck did you even get stadium lights?! Those things are bright!” April said, glancing over expectantly at Donnie before having to shield her eyes again.

    “Oh! Well you see it’s actually a pretty interesting story. I was out on patrol you see. I had decided to go off my usual route. . .'' Donnie continued on about his story, but by this point Raph had tunned him out. He was stuck stock still by the sight illuminated before him.

    The once subway station was unrecognizable! Dirt and debris were scattered around the floor. Concrete posts were hit out of position, revealing the metal rodding inside. To one side, the subway tunnel had caved in on itself, chunks of rocks and tiles blocked the entirety of the entrance. The tunnel to the other side looked ominous, metal and wires sticking down from it like teeth and the entrance gaping like a mouth ready to swallow them whole. It kinda freaked Raph out a bit. 

    “What happened to this place,” Raph said, mostly to himself.

    “The Kraang.” April said, Waaaay closer than he thought she was. For the third time tonight he nearly jumped out of his skin. Oh Raph did not like this, at all.

    Raph swallowed hard, glancing down at April. She was staring straight ahead, expression unreadable. But from what Raph could guess, she probably wasn’t thinking about anything good. This was about the Kraang after all.

TADAAA UPDATED AMI REF

I’ve changed her character quite a lot since the first iteration I drew so I felt I’d update it!

The grand majority of her story is basically the same but I actually have more stuff figured out for her now and stuff that makes sense!

I’m not gonna go to in depth about her background but I’ll give a quick rundown under the cut :P

So Ami is a muntant, how she was mutated? Well back at the beginning of season 1 when the oozquitos got out Ami had been passing through New York looking for a job to hire a 13 y/o when she get bit and long story short during the confusion she is discovered by one of big mamas henchmen and forced to fight for her life in the battle nexus. Then when the krang invasion happens the cave roof of the hidden city breaks and cracks causing mass destruction and chaos to the city, Ami was in the middle of a battle when this happened and used the chaos to escape from the Nexus and then wanders the streets aimlessly

After a few weeks of living in ally’s and practically eating garbage she wanders to husos restaurant and is in the middle of scarfing down many pizzas when a few certain turtles walk into the kitchen

And Mikey being the caring little guy he is sees Ami in need of help and invites her back to the lair where they can help her

And boom there’s a bit of her backstory

Sry it’s a bit rough I’m not very good at writing out my ideas 😅

i wanted to make her story more believable and fit in better with rise and what I had her backstory as

Shes got Italian background and yes she does show Mikey some Italian recipes when she warms up to the boiiiss

and she was born in 2005 so she’s like a year younger then Donnie and Leo

she got mutated at 13 and over the course of the show and movie was about 3-4ish years, and that whole time she was fighting in the nexus so she’s got a few battle scars and permanent ptsd and injuries from that, poor girl

but she’s good now she got outta there and everything will be fine

Oh and also she’s not Venus nor a interpretation of Venus she’s her own character I made up before I even knew that Venus existed so uh yeah

(Yes the angst I’ve been craving 😈 finally, ima change it up to crushing Leo) but just to be clear I never had the time to watch rottmnt all the way through so ima make up a fight 🤭

It’s been at least three hours since April called you guys up, saying that the foot clan is taking prisoners at her job and she needs help

The turtles quickly got into action as you tried to stay behind, just trying to have a day off from fight after fight but they didn’t let that happen

“Tell me why again? Today was my only day off and now I’m stuck fighting Donnie’s killer robot!!” You yell blocking the sharp arm away from your face

“For the last time I’m sorry! How was I suppose to know the foot clan was going to have a control device! Can’t a man live with his killer robot friend?”

“No!”

Raph takes his enemies out easily as he helps Mickey, most of the foot soldiers not backing off as the oldest looks around concerned

“There must be thousands of them, we have to get the citizens out of here!”

April nods as she helps the unconscious customers away, Raph and Mickey teaming up with Donnie as the attack the hoards

You get stuck with the machine, hitting everywhere with your weapon as it has no damage, sweat going down your head as you duck down bawling

“I hate you Donnie! I just wanted a day off!!” You say whining before kicking at the legs, the robot grabbing your arm as it lifts you up.

Leo quickly defeats three of the foot clan members as he goes to your side, kicking its head as it drops you to the ground

“Fear not y/n! Your favorite ninja is here to save the day!” He says kinda unsure as he grabs you and runs, the robot continuing its chase as you scream

“Favorite I thought I was your favorite!!”

“You will be if you turn your machine off!” You yell at Donnie as the turtle clicks his remote control, trying to override the system as the robot glitches crazily

Leo and you getting cornered as he puts you down, both of you getting ready to attack as he pulls you close

“After this lets grab a bite to eat, how does Johnny dough sound?~” Leo says flirtatious as you smile grabbing one of his katanas

“Not the time Lenard! We gotta make it out of this first”

“Okay but after?”

Donnie quickly presses all the buttons as sweat goes down his face, quickly trying to disarm the robot before it hurts you both, Raph and Mickey getting off the rest of the clan as they sigh exhausted

“Please stop flirting it just gets me sweatier!” He yells at you both as the robot closes in, you and Leo putting in a serious face as you get ready

The robots red eyes twitching as it’s limbs shake, pulling up its sharp claws as static comes from its mouth, slowly approaching as you look at it nervously

“It’s now or never y/n.”

“Trust me I know!” You yell as you both go to attack the thing, hearing it click for a second as Leo hits it

but it just pukes out black smoke, falling tot he ground with its arm raised as you and Leo look at it confused

“D-did I hit it to hard?”

you look up confused as Raph holds the control, it smashed in his hand as Donnie looks at him gasping

“You coudnt so that in the first place!” You yell annoyed as you give Leo back his katana, Donnie holding the broken remote as he whines

“This took me weeks to perfect! You monster!” He yells at Raph as the tall turtle scratches his neck laughing

you just sigh as you walk up to the three, Leo following closely behind as his arm goes over your shoulder

“Well looks like we survived dons robot after all… now I remember someone owing me a date?” He says smugly as you roll your eyes before laughing

“Sure fine, but your definitely buying”

Leo lightens up at this as he hugs your waist, his cheeks flushed as he smiles wide, the others looking at you with rolling eyes as they follow

“Get a room please, I’m trying to I mourn…” Donnie says heartbroken as he holds the broken controller, April patting his shoulder as you all walk away together from the scene

this was kinda easy…. No one got hurt and there’s still time to spare..

You hear a click behind you as you go to look, before meeting Leo’s eyes as the turtle goes to say something

“Prince Leo to the res-“

Before he can say anything you feel a immediate pain through your stomach, Leo’s eyes looking at you horrified as the turtles do as well

your eyes falling down to it as the metal forearm of the robot goes through you, it’s sharp edge barley sticking out as blood vastly drops down

The arm getting pulled back as blood splashes Leo’s face, the robot glitching again as it falls down dead

You join the thing as you fall tot he ground holding your stomach in pain as you scream, tears going down your face as you see the bloody puddle your creating

The turtles quickly to your side as Raph picks up you slowly, hearing your screams of pain as he puts his hand in the wound

Bloody screams are made as Leo feels his face, looking down at you as the turtle breaths loudly

Roans hand now covered in blood as he tries to stop the bleeding, Donnie by his side as the turtle takes His mask off, trying to apply it to your wound as April yells at him

the muffled yells of everyone scaring Leo as his ears rings, before he snaps out of it as you yell in pain, he joins your side with everyone as Mickey still stands afraid

“W-what do I do April! What do I do!” Leo yells as the girl shakes her head, going to his, your cheek as he eyes glaze with tears

“How am I suppose to know! You said the robot was off Donnie!”

“Give me a fucking moment! Raph move your hand!”

“Y/n stay awake! Don’t close your eyes! Raph move your hand now!” April yells as the turtle doesn’t move, his hand pressing harder on your wound as you scream

“Raph!” Leo yells as he grabs the arm, Raph quickly looking down as his breath goes wild, moving his hand as Donnie ties his mask to your stomach

“No! P-please!” You yell screaming from pain as Donnie pulls your arms down, blood all over his chest as you yell

you squirm your feet everywhere as you try and hit Donnie away, the turtle applying more pressure to your wound as blood gushes out still

Mikey crying heavily as he looks away, about to hyperventilate as April runs to him, her arms covered in blood as she talks with the small turtle

“Why isn’t it stopping! She’s loosing to much blood!” Donnie yells as Leo pulls your hair back, most sticking to your face as you groan screaming into your lips

”I-I dammit! It won’t stop!” Donnie yells as he lifts up his arm, whipping away his sweat as blood goes all over his forehead, Leo’s arms now stained with dry and new blood as he tries to calm you

“Y/n hey! I-it’s going to be okay! Donnie’s got you!” He says reassuringly as he gulps down his tears, some falling down onto your face as you hiccup, your eyes feeling heavy as you feel the sharp pain subside

“She’s closing her eyes! Raph lift her!”

the turtle listens as he lifts you up, looking at your back confused before his eyes widen, the wound behind you wider then the other as he can see the muscles move

he feels his spit go up his throat as he gags, April seeing as well as she shakingly pulls out her phone, Mickey turning around to see as he screams loudly, April pulling him away front he scene as you feel your vision go blurry

The screaming and crying of the turtles slowly leaving your eyes as you close your eyes hearing Leo’s voice try and pull you back before you go to sleep

”y/n! Fuck call splinter!”

Mostly everything a Blair as your eyes open slowly seeing Raph carry you as he runs in the sewers, you close them again as you see the sight before you

splinter holding your head up as the turtles look at you worried, Leo’s face the most horrified as he watches from a distance, feeling hands go all over you as you see different kinds of mutants with doctor clothes

You end up falling asleep again as you groan, waking up again as you feel the slight discomfort in your stomach and back, your arm going up to them as you feel a cloth and paper on it

Your eyes widening as you remember the events, quickly sitting up, feeling a draft hit your body as you look around, seeing the lair in front of you

“I-I… where is-“ you go to say before you head someone sniffle next to you, a hand go to your arm as you look, seeing Leo’s face surprised as he drops the plate the food

He rushes to your side as he hugs you tightly, tears falling from his face as you keep your arms up, looking at him confused as you cough embarrassed

“Hi? Why are you hugging me?” You ask as he pulls away, your face lightens as snot and tears drop down his face, the turtle whipping them away as he gasp for air

“We thought you wouldn’t wake up! I’m so glad!” He yells as his face falls to your legs, crying hard into them as you pat his head, feeling guilt rush over you

“I’m sorry Leo…” you say smiling at him as the turtle still cries into your legs. Looking up a little as he sniffles

”I’m sorry, I-if I paid closer attention you wouldn’t be hurt!” Leo says as you raise an eyebrow thinking back the robot as you shake your head

“It isn’t your fault Leo.” You say holding his cheek as you wipe away the tears, Leo looking at you as you comfort him

“B-but if I-“

he doesn’t finish as you pull him in for a kiss, Leo’s face going red as his tears stop completely, looking at you with wide eyes before he kisses back

you two staying like that for a second as you pull away, smiling at leo as the turtle looks at you before giving you a smile

“Leo”

“Yeah?” The turtle says excited at your next words as you smile wide at him

“Your on my stomach..”

He quickly pulls away as you groan, holding your wound annoyed as you growl

“Why does it hurt so much still, it feels so itchy!!” You yell as Leo nods, laughing s little as he rubs his head

”yeah… we kinda had to use Donnie’s mask as a bandage for a while… sand he has bad hygiene skills”

“I can tell it feels like I have dandruff in my stomach” you whine as Leo sits by your side, smiling up at you happily as his arm pulls you close to him

“Now that your awake and my Oscar award performance is done… date?”

“Sure Leo, I can use some food right now.” You say happily as he pulls you in for another kiss, you both enjoying it this time before gasps are heard

”my beautiful satin sheets! Blue you are grounded!”

“I have an amazing hygiene routines!”

“Since when did you two become a couple!”

it was early morning when raphael heard the smallest cry coming from his baby. he lifted his head, ears perked up catching the shift and the second whine falling from her lips again. he looked down at you but you seem to be asleep. it was clear how exhausted you were, running up and down for your baby girl. it was a beautiful experience but it really knocked the wind out of you, rightfully so. you shifted in bed, leaning on one elbow but raph lay you back down.

"i've got her, baby. ya sleep" he kissed your cheek and you happily obliged, fucking under the covers again. standing up, he donned a pair of loose grey sweats and walked towards the bassinet.

"i'm here munchkin, it's okay..." raph soothed, holding his precious baby in his arms. her wide eyes peeled open and raph let out a heartfelt chuckle watching her wide eyes take him in. her eyes resembled eerily to that of his, honey gold speckled around her irises with the colour of yours. a beautiful mix of both her parents.

"let's go ta the kitchen, mommy's sleeping" he looked back and true to his word, you were knocked out. he smiled fondly before gently closing the door. but again, she started fussing and he tried to rock her but to no avail.

"milk?" splinter chuckled, holding the bottle of the formula.

"please" raph answered desperately. he held her in one arm while the other held the milk bottle to her lips. she immediately latched on, quietening down. raph breathed a huge sigh of relief, glancing at splinter with a thankful look.

"fret not raphael, you're a great father" as if splinter knew he needed to hear those words, he patted the turtles shoulders reassuringly. to put those doubts at bay, to keep him from spiralling into self doubt and worry. although the rat may have been old, he knew his sons. and he knew the worry raph had been previously about his child.

"if you need me, i'll be in the dojo" to which raph nodded as his father left. he looked down and smiled, placing the bottle on the counter tops. he propped her forwards and gently rubbed her back, just like you taught him to.

"how ya feelin, sweetheart?" he hummed under his breath, praying she was finished crying. it wasn't being up early or taking care of her, it was when she cried and he had no idea on how to help.

he was always the one to rush to his brothers and fix the issue they were having by sometimes using his head but most time using his physical strength. being unable to know what his baby needed scared him constantly, what if she was in pain and he was making it worse? so many questions that only she could answer to and she couldn't even talk.

but yet again, her lip quivered and before he knew it tears were rolling down her small cheek.

"what's wrong princess? what's wit tha tears, hm?" he mumbled gently against her forehead as he walked around the lair with her. one hand patted her back and the other held her close to his bare chest, his heartbeat a calming lullaby.

her cries were reduced to sniffles as she peered at the quiet lair. despite being no one around, the lair had all sorts of small sounds. from the games mikey had to the lights to the small figurines, there was much to gaze at for the youngest turtle.

"ya like this?" he smiled, looking down. he saw her eyes wide at a picture, focusing on all the different turtles.

"that's me and yer uncles. uncle donnie is a total nerdbox, just nod anytime he talks ta ya. and uncle leo, next time ya see him barf all over 'im okay? and uncle mikey, if i ever saw a man that needed therapy... it's this one" her lip curled upwards mirroring her fathers expression.

"but.... i know yer safe an protected around them, i couldn't ask for better brothers and a better family. apart from me an yer momma, there's no one else i'd leave ya wit'" raph ran a finger fondly across the frame for a minute, taken back to when him and his brothers were just a bunch of small turtle toddlers running around the place. he would've never anticipated to finding a partner let alone have babies of his own.

but all those struggles he endured, he would've gone a 100 times over if it meant having his precious bundle and you in his life. no hesitations at all. he walked on, coming to his safe place. somewhere he never went a day without.

"and here we have tha gym, the more superior part of the lair. when ya get a bit older, i'm goin' ta put some weights here fer ya too" he wondered if she inherited that competitive and stubborn streak raph had or was she more roll with the vibe kind of person.

whatever it may be, he was so beyond excited to finding out. learning more about this beautiful person. he looked around and spotted another picture frame, walking towards it with a warm grin.

"that's me an yer momma. ya know, on our first official date we came back and we-.... actually details aren't necessary" he set the frame down and pressed a flurry of kisses to her little head.

"i hope ya get ta experience the love me and yer momma shared. i hope ya find someone special in yer life that makes everyday excitin and unforgettable" he rocked gently side to side, remembering all the beautiful moments shared between you and him. there were too many to count, to many to name but they all ended up with him being so happy in the end. even when you both were fighting, even when you both were going through some difficult times, you both came out stronger than ever.

"who am i kiddin? yer not dating on my watch, darlin', as if i'd let a human grubby fingers all over ya" he wrinkled his nose in digust, holding her upright until she was face to face with him.

"but i'll give you all tha love and more. my precious baby" he gently threw her in the air, heart clenching as she squealed delightedly.

"ya like that?" he chuckled and repeated it until she was giggling in his arms.

"my baby" he pressed his forehead against hers, smiling contently.

fatherhood was difficult and tough, but these moments right there made all those hard moments oh so worth it.

ugh I wanna save you and me the big rambly post I really want to make about this, so here’s the bulletpoints of me being absolutely in love with life is strange: before the storm (or, the first episode anyway) [quick sidebar from present me to call out past me for her blatant lie; of course this got super rambly, the bullet points didnt do a thing to save it]

- was sceptical at first because, it’s a prequel, different developing studio, different protag, no time turney magic bits, what’s gonna be left?

- turns out what’s left is the heart of it, the best bits, the essentials: the characters, the storyline, the relatability factor, the heart of it all

- chloe as a protagonist is amazing, not only because it’s chloe (who doesnt love her), but... you see so much more of her, the awkwardness, the brashness; you’re not seeing her through max’s super pink glasses anymore, and something happens that works so well for this setup, which....

- for me at least, I mean- max was a great protagonist, but never somebody that felt super identifiable to me? she's super collected, and thoughtful, and - I mean, sure there’s a bit of an agegap between the games, but still - and now you’ve got chloe, and, god, teen chloe? that volatile mixture of anger, and awkwardness, and exuberance, and pain; and a wardrobe of fugly bandtshirts and ..., it just feels like.. there’s just a relatability to her that’s just really struck with me. BTS is perfect for her (so far), because it’s less grim than LIS, but still grim enough - and BTS feels less like, say, donnie darko, and more like every indie teen flick with a lost boy protagonist, except she’s the lead I wish I couldve had in those movies. on a broader level, having a female protagonist (in any media) who’s allowed to be angry, and mad, and destructive, and kind of a mess! and not at all elegantly tragic about it, but clumsy, and weird - it still feels like a novelty to me?

- also she’s super gay, everything is super gay, the entire episode is like a meet cute l m a o. another thing that still feels like taking the first sip of a cool glass of water, you know? idk man, I’m still not used to having this kind of stuff

- the backtalk ability is hilarious omg. ofc the teenchloe superpower would be angry yelling

- RACHEL. elusive, tragic, magnificent rachel. not to be overly niche, but there’s a scene in the movie hackers (1995) (lol) (sry it’s my fave, I got it memorized) where the mom of our protagonist meets the love interest (played by angelina jolie (also magnificent)) and looks her twice over, says “well, now I see what all the fuss is about”. meeting rachel in BTS feels like that. after all that was said about her in LIS - I didnt think they’d get her right, but they did?? school loves her, everyone loves her, chloe loves her, I love her

- i always say this but like.... you know that feeling that’s like, a late summer day, and you’re on your way to somewhere you’re looking out of the car window, and it’s a bit of sadness, and a lot of joy? like melancholia, but not melancholia, because that’s a feeling for fall, and it’s not fall YET. that type of feeling that vodafone commercials try to sell in their ads, and there’ll be an indie song playing in the background with a slow start, and a good baseline, and probably a choral bit in the middle? that’s my favourite feeling in the world. this game captures it p well quite a bit of times

- THE. SOUNDTRACK. ooohm ygod I didnt know daughter did the soundtrack for this (mostly - there are great tracks by other artists, too). the soundtrack is The Feeling (tm), except more October than August. alright, Ive officially stopped making sense. but please, please listen to the soundtrack. it’s SO good. it’s so good. everyone likes to ignore my music recs, but do yourself a favor, and trust me on this.

- just in general, sooooo much drama omg. it’s like the gay indie teen drama you always wanted. or like that really good 5 times fic, 40000k, that you cant stop reading at 2 am. and by you, I mean me. Idk where they’ll go with this in the next couple of episodes, but I really enjoyed this one. gonna shut up about it now though, for now

truman, his parents, and his fiancée were in a car crash that was fatal to his parents

his fiance was mentally ill n he couldn’t rly take the guilt of being the one driving the car so he killed himself like a week after the crash

he had 2 call his sis ofc and let her know bc she was far away but ye she came back home just in time to see his fiancée kill himself 

moved to london with his big sister and just moved into his own place abt two months ago ( lived w/ her for ? idk a few months )

Donald Trump Calls Oprah Winfrey 'Insecure' & Basically Challenges Her To A 2020 Presidential Race

Oprah Winfrey has made it quite clear by now that she has no desire to run for president in 2020, yet some people still can't seem to let the fantasy go.

By some people, we mean sitting President Donald Trump -- whose weekend of Twitter diarrhea ended by taunting an "insecure" Oprah for her appearance on 60 Minutes.

On Sunday, Oprah revisited a group of Michigan voters she talked politics with on the CBS program last fall.

Trump was apparently tuned in to the discussion -- obvi settling in to cheer on Omarosa in Celebrity Big Brother -- and thought O's questions were "biased," "slanted," and just plain "incorrect." Shocker!

POTUS was so charged by the abominable interview, he basically dared Oprah to run for president so she could be exposed by the mighty Cheeto himself. He tweeted:
