Here's the two #logos I designed for my #socials #brand as an author. Now I have these for my #writing & the #rainbowphoenixmoondesigns logo for my #art. These logos were originally slated for a different project that ended up going in a different direction. Which in the end worked out better for me, because now I can uee them for my branding as an author. Today is M.E./C.F.S. awareness day. A while ago, @prillytee from the @chronicmarketplace asked the M.E./C.F.S. community what would we do if we were well tomorrow, and proposed we create a piece of art with out answer. Many artists have poured their hopes and wishes to create their answers in different mediums, which you can see in the video I shared in my stories and The Chronic Market has shared in their feed. This is mine.   Let me preface this by saying that I am one of the lucky ones. I can function, I can work, I can get out of home if I need to, I can lead what to outsiders may look like a normal, ordinary life.  And yet... Of all the things this illness has taken from me, the one I really wish I had back is the ability to be the mom my kids deserve to have. The mom that goes to all the functions. The mom that walks them to school. The mom that plays with them on the floor. The mom that can listen to a full recount of their day, even if it lasts forever. The mom that is there. What I miss is not who I was, but who I could have been for them were it not for ME-CFS. Mom guilt is overwhemingly real, and when dealing with a chronic illness even more so. It's the side effect I wish most away.  If tomorrow I was well, I would be the mom my kids deserve to have. And you, my fellow M.E./C.F.S. warriors? This is more about the stress I had been under working & studying nonstop than it is about seizures, but they're connected somehow.

A seizure sure as hell doesn't help me (they will forever suck) but I had somehow managed to get my hours slightly more organized, so I can now walk without worrying about my stress giving me a shock any moment, quite literally.

I'm doing good, so this is a little reminder for my not-so-good future self, whenever she needs it.

To those who had seizures today or are going over stressful times: I know it sucks. IT SUCKS, AND IT HURTS, but it won't feel this bad all the time.

This is fanart I made for @potsiespoons to celebrate her acceptance from NASA to attend the Orion Ascent Abort Test at Kennedy Space Center as part of #NASASocial :D

Vanessa Matelski aka @potsiespoons is a chronic illness advocate who creates humorous comics on dealing with Chronic illness and Disability, most notably Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (POTs). Some of her endeavors including teaming up with the Dysautonomia Advocacy Foundation (DAF) to create comics focused on educating patients and public alike, as well as having her articles published on The Mighty! 

In her words;

 “Chronic illness isn't a lot of fun--so I make comics to amuse myself, educate others, and let my fellow chronic illness peeps know they're not alone. Laughter might not actually cure anything--but it takes a lot less energy than crying!”
