Mass Effect really shot the gun on making the Reapers the ultimate threat and telegraphing it from the first game. Like even with addressing their motivations in a dlc they did NOT game wise for 95 percent of the game justify that kind of universal threat. Like that world easily could of just been a pulpy sci fi setting to come back to tell different stories in, but it’s like “Oh we have to deal with the anti entropy robots because they’ll kill us all.” from the get go.

Anyway, one day after watching and I'm already cooking up a DR AU about merlopian pirates who found Echo shut down in the lighthouse, thought he was treasure(or spare scrap), brought him to their ship(along w Tai-D)...and then he woke up lol, eventually they just kept him anyway and now he's a pirate in training, soon to be a full-blown pirate! Even though he seems kind of afraid of pirates for some unknown reason, i wonder why?
