10 Facts You Need to Know Before Buying SPF 50 Spray Sunscreen
Here are ten essential points to consider before purchasing your next bottle of SPF 50 sunscreen spray:
Understanding SPF 50: SPF measures protection against UVB rays, indicating how much longer it takes for skin to burn compared to not using sunscreen. Remember, no sunscreen offers 100% protection.
Importance of Broad Spectrum Protection: Look for sunscreens labeled "broad spectrum" to shield against both UVB and UVA rays, which can cause long-term damage like skin cancer and premature aging.
Water Resistance: Opt for water-resistant sunscreen if you'll be swimming or sweating heavily. Reapply frequently, especially after water exposure or sweating, as no sunscreen is entirely waterproof.
Application Tips: Proper application is key. Cover all exposed skin generously, including often overlooked areas like the back of the neck and tops of the feet.
Ingredients to Avoid: Watch out for ingredients like oxybenzone, octinoxate, and retinyl palmitate, which may irritate the skin or pose health risks. Choose mineral-based options with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide for a safer alternative.
Skin Sensitivity: If you have allergies or sensitive skin, opt for hypoallergenic or specially formulated sunscreens. Perform a patch test before full application to check for adverse reactions.
Expiration Date: Check the sunscreen's expiration date as expired products may not provide adequate protection. Dispose of expired sunscreen to ensure effectiveness.
Environmental Impact: Consider the environmental impact of your sunscreen choice, as certain chemicals can harm marine life and coral reefs. Choose reef-safe formulas or those free of oxybenzone to minimize environmental harm.
User Reviews and Recommendations: Read customer reviews to gauge a sunscreen's texture, scent, and effectiveness. Use feedback to find a sunscreen that meets your needs and preferences.
Price and Value: While price shouldn't be the sole factor, consider the value offered by the sunscreen. Expensive options may include additional features like anti-aging benefits, but budget-friendly options can still provide adequate sun protection.
In conclusion, armed with these essential insights, you can make a well-informed decision when selecting SPF 50 sunscreen spray. Prioritize broad-spectrum protection, proper application, and skin sensitivity considerations, while also factoring in water resistance, expiration date, environmental impact, and user feedback. With the right sunscreen, you can safely enjoy the sun while safeguarding your skin's health and integrity.

Winter skincare routine 🦋
I'm so, so excited about my winter skincare routine! I need a lot of moisturizing right now; it's freezing, and there is terribly dry air in this part of Europe. Luckily, the Korean/Japanese skincare has helped so much. I even achieved the 'glass skin' look for the first time, which I initially thought would be impossible on my dry and problematic skin. The only downside is that it takes so long, but I've learned to enjoy those moments, really take my time with gua sha massages, and just ruminate over my day.
Morning:
Innisfree Green Tea & Amino Acid Moisturizing Foam Cleanser
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream
Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream
Followed by makeup routine & La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50 spray
Evening:
Shiseido WASO Shikulime Gel-to-Oil Cleanser
Sisley Eau Efficace Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Face and Eye
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (I've used this every evening for the last five years; nothing else has helped with my acne)
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream
Shiseido WASO Shikulime Mega Hydrating Moisturizer
Gua sha massages
Honestly, the Shiseido WASO doesn't get enough recognition; the line is so good!
I will give this routine a few more months to see if it has any blind spots, but so far, I'm very happy. And I can't praise the famous Innisfree jelly enough 🩵 I use the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, and it can be drying.
As I wrap up my skincare journey for the day, I'm reminded that taking care of my skin is like giving a little gift to myself every morning and evening. Here's to glowing skin and the joy of self-care! ✨

As someone with sensitive and dry skin, this summer is only getting hotter and as someone who lives in a hot and humid country, I took my skin care to a new level for it to adapt to this environment! .ೃ࿐ Skin Type: Sensitive Skin (face) Dry and Sensitive Skin (body) LONG READ AHEAD! 🍯🩰🧸🪡
୨⎯ MORNING ROUTINE ⎯୧(DURING BATH) 🛁🫧🌅 -Before anything else, I cleanse my skin with an anti bacterial soap. ↳Product that I used is a local antibacterial soap (Safe guard). You can use anything as long as it gets rid of the build up first.
-I use a body scrub only twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) to get ride of the clogged dirt in my pores and remove the dead skin cells and product build up and overall just leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean and improve my skin texture. ↳Product that I used is Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt and Body Scrub/ Human Nature Volcanic Cooling Body Scrub
-I never forget my shower gel and I always love how affordable and gourmand this smell is! ↳Product that I used is Bath and Body Works Strawberry Pound Cake Moisturizing Body Wash
-Next up is lotion. As someone who has scars on my legs growing up from bites and battle scars (me tripping and falling and scarring my legs) it has hindered me. Hydration and proper knowledge with ingredients that can help scars fade is a must. I believe Niacinamide and Vit. C has great contribution with lightening those scars.↳Product that I used is Avon's Green Papaya and Calamansi Lotion/ Vaseline UV Extra Brightening Nourishing Niacinamide Lotion
-Can't forget about my fragrance. I alternate gourmand and flowery and powdery scents. I mostly use fragrance mists! ↳Product that I used is Fairytale by BnBW, JOY by BnBW, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte by BnBW. I use a oil-based perfume its Cassiopeia and I love it so much! ୨⎯ MORNING ROUTINE ⎯୧(FACE SKIN CARE ROUTINE) -I usually do not wash my face with cleanser but I only wash it with water. (Ik this is controversial but this has been my routine since I was still a teenager.)
-I use an ice cube that I froze over night to depuff my eyes (eyes only!)
-I apply my moisturizer. This moisturizer really hydrated my skin especially this summer. It has a lot ingredients that can help you with hydration and at the same time making your skin youthful and glowing! It is lightweight and just perfect for this summer!↳Product that I used is Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream -I apply my sunscreen. Genuinely love this sunscreen, the only sunscreen that didn't make me breakout! Never ever forget sunscreen! ↳Product that I used is Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA++++
-Next is my face mist/facial spray. Gotta keep the skin hydrated and fresh! ↳Product that I used is Evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray.
I always keep my morning routine simple since it's hot and humid here. I also bring with me a bottle of water and keep aware of what I eat and avoid eating foods that are oily and cause allergic reactions to my skin. ༉‧₊˚.
୨⎯ EVENING ROUTINE ⎯୧ (DURING BATH) 🛁🫧🌆 -Still the same from above! I just do not overdo my scrubbing part and keep my skin hydrated! -୨⎯ EVENING ROUTINE ⎯୧(AFTER BATH/SKIN CARE FOR FACE) -Double cleansing your skin is that it removes the make up/sunscreen as well as remove those dirt that has built up through out the day. It also helps with absorption of your serums and other moisturizing products.↳Product that I used is Banila Clean it Zero cleansing Balm and Senka Perfect whip for cleansing foam
-I cannot forget my serum! Gotta love how lightweight this is and how it brightened up my dark spots! It has 5% niacinamide and love how this niacinamide worked and saved my skin.↳Product that I used is Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum
-Another serum that I cannot gate keep is this local brand/product in my country! It's Cica Skin Repair Serum Soothing Gel from Ever Organics. You can find any alternative skin care serums/gels that has cica as I swear that this ingredient has helped me with my reddish spots and helped me stop my break out! I genuinely love love this product.
-For spot treatment, I use this only when I have breakouts (I rarely have breakouts nowadays, probably during period days only!) ↳Product that I used Face Republic Calming Spot Oint Gel (I only bought the sachet one)
I think it's essential for us to take care of our body, not just our skin. Our body is our temple and we must good care of it. It's never too late to start and take care of your body. Take care of yourself not to impress others but as a form of self love. I think we should remember and remind ourselves to love and appreciate ourselves. ₍ ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎˚୨୧
I hope this post has reached all of you needing inspos or don't know where to begin. I'm still a growing account after all! But I'd like to share with you all what has helped me. Can't wait to have moots too! 🎀🩰🪡

10 Months Post Op
I'm currently on my first holiday post op, and loving the freedom.
My scars ARE noticeable. I am at peace with that. But I have not caught anyone staring, yet.
To try to disguise them a bit, I had a spray tan before leaving the UK, and I'm sporting my transfer tattoo nipples. But I think strutting around confidently is working for me just as well.
Before anyone panics; I am slathering on the SPF50 to protect the scars.

Also, some additions: if you can, get yourself an Australian brand SPF for when you have to go outside. Australia is the hardest place to get sunscreen approved so an Australian SPF50+ is hard-core (very water resistant - not waterproof). Bondi Sands (more affordable) and Ultra Violette (pricier but I have rosacea, am neurodivergent and swear by this stuff) are readily available in the UK. But ultimately the best sunscreen is one that you will use. And no matter which SPF (at least a SPF30) you use, reapplication face and body is key! Every 2 hours at the very least if you're outside. Garnier, La Roche Posay, Ultrasun, Ultra Violette and Coola all have reapplication sprays for your face. If cash is tight use your normal SPF.
If you get sunburnt, for the love of Star Wars please do not use raw Aloe Vera from the plant. The raw plant contains chemicals (don't @ me EVERYTHING is a chemical) that can cause further irritation. These are removed when the raw plant is turned into Aloe Vera gel. Like one of the earlier comments suggested, get a cheap bottle of Aloe Vera gel/spray and stick it in your fridge.
If you're out and about, and don't have access to a fan/cold pack/the freezer face cloth hack as above, use an unopened can of fizzy juice fresh from a fridge on your face and the inside of your wrists to cool down. If you can, wear protective clothing (hat, sunglasses) and stay out of the sun as much as possible.
Stay hydrated and stay safe.
I need UK journalists to not show 43 degrees is not beach weather like people are gonna die
Americans do not interact
#signal boost#i'm scottish#and i'm a redhead#pray for me#and please for the love of star wars#wear your fucking sunscreen#🙏🙏🙏

Ah, thank you for your answer about the sunscreen! Is it this one?
https://www.laroche-posay.co.uk/en_GB/anthelios-invisible-spray-spf50/LRP_018.html
and do you find it to be sticky/tacky on the skin? I hate when my hair gets stuck in it
Your welcome ☺️
It is that one, it does get a bit sticky but not as much as any of the others I’ve tried (and I’ve really tried a lot!) my hair is pretty long and it only really sticks to it after I’ve immediately applied it 😌

I do not know why I am bothering you with this but HELP ME CASTEIELPROSTATE IT IS THE HOTTEST MY CITY HAS BEEN SINCE 1985 I WANT TO DIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
dose my little blogger have any tips to beat the heat besides suicide
unfortunately this is what climate change does :/ and most of the tips i have are for governments, municipalities, and city halls which are plant trees, plant more wild NATIVE flowers, have free and accessible water fountains and sunscreen dispensers, add more trash cans around the cities, and invest in green technology, green dividends, and green initiatives.
however, yeah that change takes so much time while we all boil alive :/ politicians are toying with our health whilst they sit pretty in an AC fueled room.
to beat the heat before it gets to you, start blinding the windows (you can do this with diy cardboard and aluminium foil! or car sun protectors) the day before, do the same with your car if you know you have to go out that day. in the morning, at 6 or 7am you open two doors to the outside opposite of each other. take a cold shower, and wear BREATHABLE clothing like linen, cotton, or viscose. you can also put up wet laundry outside the windows, or behind ventilators.
CLOSE THE DOORS BEFORE OR AROUND 10am, close the blinds (preferably sunblocking blinds but not everyone has access to these), if you have a sun screen put that down after you close the doors.
after that, stick to low energy activities, if you have an AC turn it on, draw yourself a cold footbath, if you need to go outside for whatever reason PUT. ON. SUNSCREEN. SPF50 (NEVER lower, higher has the same effect as spf50). reapply sunscreen after every 3 hours, wear long sleeves if possible (again cotton linen or viscose), and wear sunglasses and a hat. try to NOT go outside between 13:00 and 16:00 unless you HAVE to. walk in the shade as much as possible and do not go for long hikes
when the temperature outside is cooler than inside, immediately open all doors and windows that you can, open the blinds, take your laundry back inside and if you need it, enjoy another cold shower! change into breathable pj's, use linen or cotton sheets for your bed, if possible sleep with your window open otherwise with a ventilator on (or both!)
repeat the next day if necessary, or possible! even if the day after isn't as hot, be sure to have two doors opposite of each other open for a while so they can air through the entire space. if it rains on the hot day(s), open doors and windows oppositie each other as well.
you can also spray yourself with a bit of water with a plant mister but i find that it gets really humid really quick so i personally try to avoid it! drink your drinks with ice cubes, if you have pets fill some plastic bottles with water and freeze them, put them next to the pets the morning after and switch them out so they always have some cooling, or get them a cooling mat (if they don't destroy that lmao)
sitting on the floor can also greatly cool you down!
#heatwave#asks#i fucking hate summer so much#it's gonna be around 30c for the next few days and i want to kms soooo badly sjdjfjdjd

2024 Empties Project
January 2024
I must be a glutton for punishment, because I've decided to start another "project" this year - tracking my empties!
More than anything I'm just curious about how many products I go through in a year, so I can hopefully start understanding how long it actually takes to finish things! I'm going to be tracking makeup, skincare, haircare and body care items and by 31st December 2024 I would like to have emptied...
60 products!
This equates to about 5 per month which I think is doable! I also want to keep tabs on what I liked so I don't waste money when it comes to repurchasing. A ✅ means I would repurchase, 🫳 means I might repurchase and ❌ means I would not repurchase.
So here's everything I emptied in January 2024
✅Garnier All in One Micellar Water
✅ Isoclean Makeup Brush Cleaner
✅ Supergoop Play SPF50
✅Innisfree Retinol Cica Serum
✅ Farmacy Chamomile Rose Latte Cleansing Balm (not this flavour though!)
✅ The Essence Vault 741 Perfume (Gucci Flora Jasmine Dupe!)
✅ Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
🫳Lancome Advanced Genefique Serum - Lovely but so expensive!
🫳Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray - liked it but didn't notice any difference from a drugstore spray
🫳Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Cream - Nice scent but didn't find it particularly moisturising
🫳Sol de Janeiro Beija Flora Elasti Cream - Not sure it's worth the price
🫳 Naturium Niacinamide Gel Cream - a nice daytime moisturizer, didn't wow me though.
❌ Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream - A nice moisturizer but so overpriced and I have others I prefer.
So 13 empties in January - 8 Skincare, 2 Makeup (including the Isoclean) and 3 Body products! Not bad going at all!
