Likes the y2k style and clean girl, he doesn’t know it’s called that but he likes it lmao
Loves long hair but will make an exception for a short black bob
Low rise jeans are his favorite thing ever
Pretty nails are also a pro in his eyes, shows that you’re hygienic - likes longer nails
Plump lips are a major plus
Likes outfits that show skin in some way, so crop tops, dresses, etc
Personality:
Slightly toxic, which is perfect for him since he’s ultra toxic 😍
He’s not willing to change his lifestyle just for a girl, so he needs someone who’s down to party and do the bad stuff he does
Loves confidence, wouldn’t date a girl who’s insecure
People with the wonyongism mindset are literally his dream type, makes him weak in the knees
If you yell back at him or call him out on his shit, oml he’s already planning your wedding
Loves to annoy you just to get a reaction, smth about you being angry draws him in
He likes social people who get along with others easily
A little bit cocky, but if you laugh at his jokes he instantly finds you more attractive
Dedicated and driven people, like not failing classes, having internships, having a job, all of that is so attractive to him
If you listen to: Kali Uchis, Tyler the Creator, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, The Neighborhood, The Smiths, The Weeknd, BlackPink, Aespa, Beyoncé, you get so many extra points
Theodore Nott

Has a thing for people that are flatter, likes rectangle body types
Long hair is his ideal type but loves curly short hairstyles
Gets flustered when he sees you with your hair up, something about it is so appealing to him

Lovessss skirts and headbands
Likes people with glasses, but specifically people who wear contacts in public but glasses at home
People with the resting sad face are so beautiful to him
Personality:
Likes introverts or shy people, he likes knowing that you’re a homebody so he doesn’t have to worry about cheating
Nerds omg They’re his secret weakness
He loves book smart-street dumb people, it’s a sense of comfort knowing that you’re not involved in his life style
He’s a fuckboy who smokes and drinks, so you become a safe space for him
Quiet and soft voices are one of his biggest weaknesses
Elegance is also something he needs in a partner, someone who’s aware of their words and their actions
When someone covers their mouth when they laugh - So attractive to him
Caring and nurturing people make him want to cry, please comfort this man
If you listen to: Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, Mitski, SZA, Her, Adele, Yerin Baek, Matt Maltese, Radiohead, you get an extra point
Lorenzo Berkshire
Appearance:
Downtown girl, athletic wear, coquette, and other cutesy yet comfortable styles are his idea type
Really loves when someone can dress up in a nice ass outfit and then show up the next day in just a hoodie and bagggyyyy pants
Doesn’t really like tight clothes on his s/o, likes baggy or flowy clothes
Doesn’t care for body type, has dated people on the bigger size and people that were super thin
Loves any facial markings - moles, acne scars, freckles, but esp ance scars
Loves curly and wavy hair, doesn’t care for hair color but does prefer light colors like brown and blonde
Likes girls that look kinda intimidating because of how pretty they are, but are secretly a softie (basically him)
For example, people with a resting bitch face but the second they see something cute they light up
Being shorter than him is fine, but if he’s dead honest he’s always wanted to date a girl taller than him (185 cm+)
Personality:
Bubbly people make him fall so hard
People who are happy almost 24/7 and a little bit stupid and naive is what he loves
Doesn’t care about intelligence much, but doesn’t like people who are failing school
When you’re oblivious to flirting??? Omg he’s done
Wants to feel needed, so you being slightly air headed helps him a lot
Smiling makes him attracted to someone instantly, so constantly smiling and laughing makes him feel the same way
Loves people with a tad bit of sass to them, like eye rolls and stuff
Playful people who agree to do dumb shit with him suits his ideal lifestyle
Someone’s who funny, cause if I’m fr this man is not that funny. He def gets with someone who’s funny
He def had way too many crushes on manic pixie dream girls, so he kinda likes the chase
Likes people who are so free spirited that it’s hard to tie to them
If you listen to: Wave2Earth, Kpop, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Beabadoobee, Sarah Kinsley, Faye Webster, it’s an extra plus for him

I will never, NEVER understand people who complain about Ao3 search system and how the archive isn't algorithm based. Ao3 is literally the only site that has a decent search system, at this point.
Anytime I need to Google something, I feel like I'm about to lose my mind. I wanted to research the reason why women in my country are more likely to get custody of their children, because all the studies I know about focus on the US and needed to compare them to make an argument, and the best I got were domestic violence stats, an article about a woman committing suicide, and stats about parents with shared custody.
And let's not talk about YouTube! My home page doesn't show any of the youtubers I follow unless I left a video unfinished (but, then again, it'll keep showing me unfinished videos even from people I'm not subscribed to), and the search system is completely fucked. When I write, I like to listen to those lyrics-less playlists titled stuff like "you're the last person after the end of the world," and now searching for them is a pain in the ass.
It doesn't matter how specific I try to get with them to get the results I want, YouTube will always show me a bunch of random playlists that have nothing to do with the keywords I used, will bring up several shorts even if I make sure to opt out of them anytime they pop up in my home feed, and ultimately loop me around to the content I usually consume.
"You typed 'Y2K nostalgiacore with birds'? How about 'Liminal spaces in a Walmart'? No? Okay, let's try 'Life after the nuclear holocaust." No again? Then fuck you, here's a full album of a band now popular on TikTok, twelve shorts that might be related to what you're looking for, and Danny Gonzalez videos. Fuck you."
And people just seem to be okay with this shit! Claim that it's easier! How the fuck is it easier, when you have to type and retype the same shit over and over again in the hope that that one word you decide to add or remove will suddenly change where the site brings you??

RESOURCES FOR ARTISTS VOL 1
In the spirit of gratitude for the plethora of free resources out there for artists that I've been gleefully ransacking my entire life, I want to share some of them that I've compiled.
smithsonian open access: this is a HUGE one! lots of images that are absolutely free to use, as well as an incredible set of 3-D resources. Their collection spans the same breadth that their multiple museums do-- natural history, gems, fine art, aerospace/engineering stuff, etc. so do not sleep on this.
(screenshot is the 3-D digitization page, one of my fav sections)
2. The League of Moveable Type is a resource for free fonts, but not just any free fonts-- professionally designed free fonts. Some of the bigger sites can be a lot of wading through sub par stuff, but every single thing here was very carefully and lovingly designed, and is free.
3. Unsplash is full of great free to use images. Seriously, huge collection. Portraits, textures, 3-D renderings, you name it and it's probably here and free to use. ALSO cool because images will note whether their creator is for hire if you like their work. You can also submit your images to this platform. (I think it has a premium section but I haven't needed to engage with it yet)
(screenshot of unsplash.com with a search for 'y2k render')
4. rawpixel's Public Domain collection. They've been high quality scanning public domain images for a while. They're free to use under a CC0 license, which is basically without restriction. They've got lots of categories, I personally love the Graphic Design and the Vintage Illustration sections.
(screenshot of the 'patterns' section of the Public Domain collection on rawpixel)
5. Photopea is a free Photoshop alternative that runs in your browser. It's got a few quirks(especially if you run a non-chromium browser, but stay strong anyway) and is ad-supported, but really powerful and robust. It also opens PSD files, supports smart objects and basically all of the Photoshop asset filetypes(.abr .grad .pat etc), as well as has filters, even a couple that Photoshop itself has gotten rid of in their more recent versions. You can use the fonts on your machine, export transparent pngs, and do generally anything that the big guy does. You can also donate a small amount to remove ads and support the singe person(!) who created and maintains it.
(screenshot of a .psd file with smart objects/smart filters open on photopea. The 'file' dropdown menu shows exciting options such as 'export' and 'save as psd')
6. Brusheezy.com is a great place to get free brushes, vectors, and photoshop assets in general(which can all be used in Photopea, btw).
(screenshot of the 'categories' page of brusheezy.com)
7. dafont.com Last but not least, I will include this huge font site but assume most people already have it on their radar. Free fonts! No account needed to download! Tons of categories! Many are demo/limited versions, so pay attention especially if you plan to use numbers or special characters as those are often the things left out of the free to use demo versions. It's nice to have a lot of options but to the discerning eye a decent amount of the fully free fonts here will fall a bit short/feel unpolished. That's not to discourage you from it, as I have a huge collection of types from here and routinely check it when I need something specific.
(screenshot of dafonts.com with the 'sci-fi' section pulled up)
So that's what I've got right now for visual art resources, I hope you can find something useful in here. Feel free to share this list and keep an eye out for the next one! Thanks to everyone out their with a love for sharing in their hearts, it's really inspired me to make some things with no other intention than to put them into the world as tools for others!

J-Street Fashion Banners/Moodboards
Kogal Gyaru A street fashion very influenced by 80's - Y2k fashion in the west. This fashion involves bright tans, blonde hair, and doll-like eyes. This specific substyles of Gyaru is extremely common with teens in Japan as it allows them to wear Gyaru but still wear their uniforms. There are many more exaggerated form of Gyaru like Agejo, Tropical Gyaru, and Hime. This style is most commonly known for being the exact opposite to Japanese beauty standards at the time.
Sweet Lollita
A Japanese street fashion most commonly associated with Rococo and Victorian clothing. Its most well known for its very lacy and ruffled trims and extremely ornate patterns (usually ranging from sweets to cute animals). Also, please note that the fashion has no association with the novel of the same name and the same name is merely a coincidence. Other substyles of Lollita includes, from goth to punk to the very ornate Hime Lollita. This fashion style is all about the desexualization of femininity and appealing to your inner fancy princess.
Visual Kei Visual Kei or V-Kei is most well known for its music because of their association and similarities to western goth music. Visual Kei is actually referred to as a branch of the umbrella term "Goth" and its most popular influences are bands like Malice Mizer and Dadaroma. Visual Kei, like Gyaru, has seen a boom in popularity because of the comebacks of 2000's fashion and the acceptance of alternative styles. Visual Kei is most noticeable by the multiple black layers along side dramatic hairstyles and makeup. The most popular substyles of V-Kei are Eroguro-Kei, Tanbi Kei, and Angura Kei. This style is all about visual dramaticism, hence the name, and creative expression.
Decora-Kei
Decora fashion is most well known for its visually bright and very colored style. This style involves kid-like fashion but times ten. Most Decora wear extremely bright or bold colors and eye catching clothing and multiple accessories. Many Decora's describe themselves as "Straight out of a Lisa Frank coloring book" and they show that influence in their extremely bold and flashy style. Decora's generally wear bright tennis shoes or platforms with multiple pieces of jewelry and hairpieces. Common themes are kid's shows, hello kitty, and rainbows. This style is meant to appeal to appeal to your inner child and be as eye catching as possible.
Menhera (Trigger Warning for mentions of Self-harm, suicide, mental illness, and general gore themes.)
Menhera is mostly well known for its art work and media that slowly influenced into a fashion type. Menhera's are usually wear medical related things like bandages, pill themes, and paying a bit of homage to nurse or school girl uniforms. This style is usually colored with hot pinks, pastel colors, white, and lavender. The most noticeable part of this fashion is the implications of self-harm with bandages on the wrists and thighs and a boxcutter; this is seen a lot on a popular character named Menhera Chan. This style's purpose is to bring awareness to mental health and the importance of it because of Japan's high suicide rate.
Mori Kei
Mori Kei is a street fashion centered around cottage living and as if living in a forest. Mori Kei consists of blouses, green ruffled skirts, and general "nature-like" fashion. This style is most commonly associated with "Cottage-Core", which is a western subtype of this fashion as Mori Kei really took off in 2009 while Cottage-Core became popular in mostly the 2020's. Mori Kei focuses on naturality, like a lack of overly expressive makeup and more toned down clothing that less visually eye-catching but no less beautiful. Mori Kei is also centered around hobbies from sewing, to reading, to even photography.
Sukeban
A Japanese style that got incredibly popular in the 70's when a movement started to stop the overly strict school systems for women. Girls began to do the same as males, sitting "unladylike" and making ugly faces in pictures, and began to intimidate teachers. These women first began changing their uniforms, making them longer and wearing unauthorized accessories, as a form of protest. This style was very looked down upon and still is today because of its association with gangs and violence. However, this style has slowly but surely grown in popularity due to social media, manga, and a popular Japanese movie called Sukeban Deka. This style is centered around the empowerment of women and to fight back against social and gender norms.

just an insight on what writers have to deal with in regards to inclusivity for everyone:
I’ll start off by saying I’m obvi hiding their username for anonymity but I just wanna show yall what it’s like to be a writer these days on tumblr 💀
I’ve never explicitly said my writing is only for poc or only for white. I purposely try and leave that out of my writing bc I want everyone to feel included. the sugar daddy fic this user is referring to is I believe Lace & Luxury where I never once said it was a black character. does this mean I would never write a black/poc character? ofc not, it just means that I don’t specify race/ethnicity, etc or how will it be inclusive for all? and the immediate jumping to conclusions bc a character in my fic has y2k style or bc of a moodboard pic [of a white person with a heavy tan I found off pinterest] leads the idea that it’s poc is weeeiiiiirrrrrddddd bc even if it was, i don’t see how it would be such a problem to read the tags
if anything I feel like there should be MORE writing for poc
this person is talking about wanting “inclusivity” but they’re upset that a character might be a poc or overweight bc it doesn’t describe them?
finally this strange need to be a victim by saying “do you have a grudge against skinny people” literally BAFFLED ME, bc I went on their blog where they reblogged a post about how skinny people are ignored LIKE WHATTTTT
I’ve been reading fanfiction since I was 13 in 2014 and I could never read a story about a brown character but there were a billion carbon copy fics of a blonde/ginger, skinny main character. I would read them bc what other option did I have? that’s why this upsets me because one)
I don’t ever specify my character’s race/color/weight so for someone to make assumptions and then message me trying to ask me to change the way I write is weeeeeirrrrdddd. I’m not a professional, I write for fun and if there are blogs out there that only specifically write for poc or heavier set people, DONT READ THEM IF YOU DONT LIKE THEM
suddenly all these readers want to delegate how a writer creates a story when it used to be that we had readers BECAUSE they liked the way we wrote, not bc they want to change it
this is what poc people have gone through for yearrrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssss:
and like I said, I try and be inclusive and never describe someone’s physical traits unless it’s in the most indirect way but I completely respect and acknowledge writers who do specifically make works for poc readers or readers with a certain type of body type [that was never written before in fanfics]
I also don’t care if people think I’m rude, I’m literally Mexican with tan skin and black hair and if I wanted to write works that’s “not inclusive to white/skinny people” I would’ve done that by now, but that’s not my goal so pls don’t try and paint my writing to be for one target audience

Music Artists I think the HOA Characters (Season 1 Specifically) would listen to!
Note: First head canon type thing I am putting on here (yay!). This is something I have thought a lot just myself in my lonesome so Id thought Id share it here! If you have any other ideas of what certain characters would listen to I would love to hear!
Nina
-> I think we as a fandom have collectively decided that Nina would 100% be a swiftie (and I agree). Her favorite album would be either Speak Now or Folklore, however, her fav song would probs be "London Boy" off of the Lover album though (for obvious reasons)
-> I can see her listening to some other softer artists like beabadobee, Clairo, and Boygenius (shes a softie at heart what can I say)
-> "All American Bitch" by Olivia Rodrigo is her confidence booster song for sure
-> Her and Amber have 2000-2010's pop music dance parties in their room together (which make annoy some of the housemates from them jumping around and dancing; also get in trouble with Victor about it but its worth it to them)
->Ok I need you guys to HEAR ME OUT with this one, but...Nina definitely is a little (just a little bit) of a theatre kid. I mean let's be real, she wrote an entire play for the school AND performed in it,,,my girl def is a little bit of a theatre girl. So with that being said, she listens to some show tunes from musicals (mostly Waitress and Mamma Mia)
Amber
-> She would so be a Y2k pop listening type of girl
-> Favorite songs would be "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani, "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, HEAVY ON "Stars are Blind" by Paris Hilton!!!!!!
-> Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, if its an iconic pop girl, she listens to them
-> Marina and the Diamonds. IDK IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TO ME I CANNOT EXPLAIN. Some of her songs just give that "it girl" energy and if there is an "it girl" of the Anubis house its miss Amber Millington. "Bubblegum Bitch" is blasted in her car with the top down (because she def has a convertible and its pink)
-> Ariana Grande stan. Probably had a stroke when Ariana came out with a makeup line and bought ALL OF IT.
Fabian
-> Fabian def listens to alternative music old and new.
->LOVES THE SMITHS! Like its almost the only thing he listens to
-> Favorite songs by the Smiths include "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" and "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want"
-> Listens to the Arctic Monkeys for sure
-> Some other artists he listens to are Radiohead, The Cranberries, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and TV Girl.
-> Fabian is my favorite awkward loser boy... he listens to Weezer
Patricia
-> Didn't Alfie call her like a "Punk rock/goth vixen" or something like that? (I can't remember the quote or the episode it is in for the life of me)
-> Regardless of whatever the quote was, this is our punk rock alternative queen right here
-> PARAMORE SHE LIKES PARAMORE (has a crush on Hayley Williams because I said so)
-> Had a Panic At the Disco and FallOutBoy phase for sure
-> Listens to the Smiths a little bit (because Fabian showed her some songs)
-> Also listens to some metal rock, loves Poppy and always liked her weird concepts
Alfie
-> Alfie listens to anything and everything I feel like
-> alternative, pop, rock, jazz, electronic, DISCO, hell even fucking dubstep.
-> If he likes it, that's all that matters to him. He doesn't care about the genre or style of music it is
-> I feel he would listen to a lot of artists from the 70s and 80s (idk if that's because of Jeromes quote about him being stuck in the 80s but it would make sense!)
->Loves ABBA, BeesGees, Earth Wind and Fire, and WHAM
-> When "Lets Groove" by Earth Wind and Fire was trending on tiktok, he played it every chance he could. That song has been banned from the house since.
Jerome
-> Like Fabian, he's an Arctic Monkeys fan
-> ADVID LISTENER OF I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
-> Favorite song by IDKHBTFM is Choke
-> I feel like he would also love Childish Gambino idk why I just feels right
-> Secretly listens to Mitski. That boy has been traumatized even BEFORE he was at Anubis, he deserves to cry to Mitski
-> The Neighborhood is a favorite of his (especially their song Daddy Issues because of,,, obvious reasons) Second favorite song of theirs would be Single (if you haven't heard that song highly recommend)
-> Hozier feels right for him idk
Joy
-> I think as a fandom we have concluded that she is also a swiftie. Her favorite album is Midnights and Reputation imo
-> HEAVY ON OLIVIA RODRIGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-> The Sour album was life changing for her (same can be said for Guts)
-> Literally her top songs of the year were all from the album. Jealously Jealousy, Favorite Crime, Hope You're Happy, Good for You to be specific
-> I can see her being a Harry fan
-> Definitely forced Patricia to go to Love on Tour (Patricia liked it, but she definitely won't tell you that)
-> She was a One Directioner so naturally, the love carried on into the members solo careers (had to miss class when Zayn left)
Mara
-> LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY LAUFEY!!!!!!!
-> Also just listens to old Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Dean Martin
-> Listened to 5SOS during her brief "bad girl" era to help prove her point but she actually ended up really liking them!
Mick
-> Ed Sheeran and Jojo Siwa
*AUTHOR NOTE* I really hope you guys enjoyed this! Tbh it took a while because a few were tricky for me. Please fell free let me know if you have any you would add. Sorry some descriptions are longer than others

I’m currently writing a Bamon fic that basically reimagines TVD, starting with them starting college and with Bonnie as the protagonist. And like I have SO many headcanons I’m gonna incorporate. A lot of them comes from the show but just elevated.
1. Bonnie
My lovely, mistreated Bonnie… boy do I have ideas for you. First of all, she’s going to have some good ass hairstyles. BLACK GIRL hairstyles. I think Bonnie loves to wear curly ponytails with decorated scarves, or like some long knotless braids. AHHH I have some ideas for her hair. But speaking of style, Bonnie loves the bohemian aesthetic. So, air of half tops, waist beads, long skirts, etc (go on Pinterest and type “bohemian black girl, and you’d see what I’m talking about). She wears alot of brown, green, beige and like golden colors. She wears red when she’s feeling spicy. Bonnie is also into candles, HEAVILY, and crystals. She’s not religious but spiritual. And for college, she’s majoring in dance and minoring in occult studies. Her favorite genre of dance is contemporary. And her favorite breakfast is cereal, and she’s most likely a vegetarian. Also I wanna change her background a bit. She actually grew up being raised by her mother and her grandmother. Her father left because he couldn’t or wouldn’t handle with their witch ancestry, when he found out.
2. Damon
Damon’s bisexual. That’s it, that’s the quote. But no seriously, I firmly believe that he is, and I stand by that. And also in my fic, Damon has this kind of… “punk rocker” aesthetic going. Imagine eyeliner, leather jackets with pins, ripped jeans, black and red color pallete. With that being said, he has a SICK fashion sense. He paints his own fingernails, mainly the color black. Another big thing about Damon is that he LOVES music. He is a music fanatic. He adores all the genres and can see the beauty in all of them, and he collects records. He also loves to play various of instruments. He has mastered the piano, the guitar, the violin and the trumpet and other shit too, and he loves to sing but he never sings infront of people. He loves to cook. Whenever he’s frustrated or gets startled, he swears in Italian. And speaking of Italian, Damon and Stefan’s were born in like the late 1400s or the early 1500s in Florence, Italy. And their family portrait was actually painted by the famous painter, Caravaggio. Damon didn’t come to America till the 1920s as he began to admire the American people’s party era.
3. Elena
She actually stays pretty much the same. However, Elena really likes Britney Spears so a lot of her outfits are inspired by her. She wears alot of dark colors, but you will see her in a pink matching tracksuit and a baby blue cropped top. Elena kind of takes every moment to show her belly button. Oh, and she loves cropped jackets. Veryyyyy Y2K going on here. Elena is trynna become a doctor but she’s also minoring in writing.
4. Caroline
I gotta be honest, I have no notes for Caroline cause I think her character in the show was written perfectly enough to be memorable and entertaining. However I think her aesthetic could be boosted up a notch to rest for her image. Caroline wears a lot of bubbly colors. Very bright but also soft color palette, so imagine a lot of soft pinks, blues, whites. She loves to wear plaid skirts and cardigans and sweaters. She’s trying to be a lawyer, which I fully expect from her. Think of Elle Woods without the hot pink.
5. Stefan
Stefan is good ol’ Stefan (except in my head, the version that I like). He’s very athletic, he gives very much sensitive gym bro. And he’s actually kind of passionate about all sports, and watches them regularly. That being said, he also loves writing, specifically poetry. So therefore he’s majoring in writing. Stefan first came to America, following his brother in the 20s. They were trying to make up with each other, and as Damon was trying to teach him how to feed as a normal vampire, it caused Stefan to be the ripper of something something. Basically in the show but different timelines. Oh and Stefan wears the color red and blue a lot, kind of patriotic of him lmao.
#ugh there’s so so so much more I could add#I cannot wait to write this fic UGH#the vampire diaries#tvd#damon salvatore#tvdu#tvd opinions#elena gilbert#bamon#stefan salvatore#caroline forbes#bonnie bennet#tvd headcanons#headcanon#tvd fic#tvd fanfic

I never fucking shared the imac debut i made weeks ago you guys dont even know who ze is uh FYCK IT WE BALL
Aight for context. Heres Imac my horrible horrible son (gender neutral) Xe are a sign up and later debut character for an object camp called Electric Remains (If you don’t know what object camps are uhh the gist is that you sign up a character to one and create “entries” in the form of comics videos whatever, in response to a prompt or “challenge” They're based on object shows like bfdi and inanimate insanity except camps like this tend to be. several degrees away from that.)
Anyways the premise of ER is that it’s a world where the Y2K actually ended the world and so the whole planet is nuked, all humans are dead, and objects are coming to life. And in this camp specifically everyone is competing for a “safe haven” away from all the shit that comes with a post nuclear apocalypse. I fucking love it and have been following it since before the cast reveal and attempted to sign up at this guy initially. Im so normal about er (lying)
And Now HERES THE DEBUT ENTRY IN QUESTION
(youtube link also but the quality got shitter in that upload </3)
CONTENT WARNINGS FOR THE FOLLOWING IF YOU WATCH IT: Sudden Loud Noises, Flashing Lights and Images, Eyestrain, Cannibalism and Gore (also like 2-3 jumpscares)
Seriously this dog is fucked up bruh. I sadly didn’t quite get in (It was an extremely close vote however good lird O_O) But you’ll bet your ass I’ll try in season 2 or whatever.
Also copy pasting xir sign up info below the cut. ^_^ I love zim verily
Name: Imac
Pronouns: they/it, xe/xim/xir, ze/zim/zir
Object: iMac G3
Favorite Color: cyan!!! Like their chassis
Character Information: An original that after leaving the comfort of it’s ruined house, Imac wandered the snow ridden wasteland, simply surviving along with someone close. Although after developing a habit of shall we say… a few fatal attacks on fellow objects, it left zim all alone. Since then its just Imac, the nuclear winter, and whatever they can eat.
What's their personality like?: Extremely chaotic, loud, and snarky. Imacs the type of computer to just do some obviously dangerous shit just because. It seems somewhat friendly enough, always open to be chatty. Though they have zero qualms about being mean and biting back. Oh yeah did I mention this guy is completely morally bankrupt and openly admits they killed before? Don’t even worry about it Reason for joining? Goal?: Having nothing better to live for, so Imac does not mind at all signing up for a very dubious competition for a safe haven. Maybe it can be a nice gift for someone

I might have said this before, but let the record show that when I speak fondly of the Y2K era/style, I am specifically talking about the ultra-futuristic aesthetic of the late '90s, à la the TLC "No Scrubs" video. I am not and will never be happily nostalgic about early '00s Lizzie McGuire-type stuff.
#Y2K#y2k aesthetic#no offense to those who like the early '00s look#but i had already moved on to goth by that point and I have no desire to relive the trends of that era#in the late '90s we were all super hopeful about what the new millennium might bring#and the fashions represent that optimism#after '00 things were just kind of anticlimactic lol

I genuinely forgot about the MMAs. I remember watching le ssera performance and being meh about it. Bc there was SO much they could have done. Also not too related but back to their webtoon stuff I'm confused why they even have one? There was never any indication of their lore in their debut trailers or in their debut mv and comeback mv. Unless their lyrics do?? I feel like the hybe approach to lore is a sponsorship. Which I guess is fine but it feels so disconnected from the group itself that it's like what's the point of having lore?? Their intro videos like the hydra one were good and played into their model concept just fine.
With newjeans, I agree that their music is not award show friendly. For me, now that the debut glow kinda worn off a bit I'm realizing that their marketing really played a BIG hand in their music being interesting to me. Bc when I don't watch the mv the music feels more okay to me. Dunno if that's just me though. I wish they did some cool arrangement with the songs!! Like they did a dance break but none of them imo are great dancers except maybe hanni?
Ive, enhypen, and txt... I'm honestly confused on what they were going for? Like some parts were cool but others just?? The vcr being slow moving and in the middle felt awkward but not only that it's also they just weren't interesting to me.
i don't know anything about le sserafim 'lore' and i do my best to forget they exist as a group.
tbh it's not just their music, newjeans aesthetic/concept also puts them at a huge disadvantage for doing large scale stages. it's very hard to scale up quirky y2k tweens to something that can fill a stadium without adding something to it. the way that aesthetic has been adapted and interpreted allows for really good multi-medium integration (ie in the marketing), but because it's fundamentally based from existing physical objects, it's hard to scale it up in away that tone matches properly in this specific instance. the only idol that i think could probably pull it off would be yena, because she has that whole superhero bit from smiley that would allow for more spectacle + suspension of disbelief.
you and me both. i have no clue what any of them were going for. not to bring back my 'dont make me tap the sign' meme but if the logic of your performance is based in group lore that is not easily and immediately understandable to a layperson, it's a bad performance. especially at this type of event.
#like obvs a lot of these groups just dont have good enough performers for this size of stage but like.#my real concern is where tf did all the good stage directors go#like the groups themselves are not planning these. a director is planning these#and awards shows used to have very well planned and carefully thought out direction and like.............#where did those directors go. like there had to have been quite a few that were working with groups that arent active rn#did they not get hired for these new groups?#bc 99% of these performances felt like they were directed by someone who had never used a stage this big before#like in a lot of cases the choreo was literally just cut and pasted from a music show stage complete with really tight spacing#and like.....first rule on a bigger stage is space people out more?#but tbh a lot of these grousp CANT change the spacing of the choreo bc of the way the choreo is structured#which..........idk. imo that's bad. you need to be able to adapt choreo to fit different sizes of space#not to be annoying about it again but ateez changes their spacing for choreo all the time#there's like at least 4 versions of the real rn#text#answers#awards shows 2022#mma 2022

Also, in the same sitting as half-life 2, I finally got round to beating kitten burst. I put it down for awhile because tbh I was sad to finish it.
And sad it was...
I don't know what to feel.
Once I've gathered my thoughts I'll write a proper review type thing but for now I'll just say what's on the top of my head.
God I nearly cried, I really nearly cried so hard. Give it a day and I might.
It wasn't a perfect game but god it was good. I have some issues with the gameplay but nothing too major.
It kinda sucks there isn't a bigger incentive to redo tracks other than w better time but that can also be seen as a positive to some people. I very rarely went back and did old tracks.
It also would have been nice if the boss fights had some more input from the player, like having to hit specific targets or something. Then again I can also see why they didn't do that.
However an actual issue I had, funnily only in the very first boss fight, was the projectiles. On the guard dog there were these red trails on his attacks that just looked like particles but no it turns out that those count as an o ject aswell. It made it difficult to dodge in intense moments because you wouldn't clock the particles and move towards them only to get pwned.
Other than that I THOROUGHLY bloody enjoyed this game. It's so damn charming and a giant love letter to the old internet, it also has a really nice power to the people message to it that I love.
It's a bit pricey at £20 but for how much content is in it, the fact that such a small team made it and that it's going to a genuinely good cause eased me up on coughing up a bit more. Also it would be nice if the demo showed a little more of the game, either going to the next point in the game or something. I found myself frustrated that when I finished the race not alot was happening and since it wasn't explained I was a lil irritated. Granted I can be dense but I felt it wasn't a great introduction to kitten burst.
I don't want to winge to much (not like a can those where really my only issues I had off the top of my head) since this is a really small team behind this game but despite that there's so much love and talent behind it. To me atleast, it could look a lil janky but it also really had so much charm to it.
I highly recommend giving this game a shit if your into the whole y2k aesthetic and generally the old internet. It's a really nice experience that I'd give a solid 7.8 out of 10. That rating my change I'm still digesting the absolute emotional rollercoaster that was.

written and edited by lily hayashi. made in relation to 'small girl, big thoughts' podcast, hosted by lily hayashi.
‘Guys’ is out; ‘girls’ or ‘girlies’ is the new it word, used gender neutrally and gender un-neutrally, both ironically and unironically, and as a feminist political comment and a method to endorse traditional femininity. As the iconic Mina Le said, ‘hot girls are walking, girls are blogging, dinner is girl, 47 year old men are baby girls’. We are in an era of the girl. With Barbie in 2023, the huge amount of female artists representing countries in Eurovision 2024, and TikTok discourse of the concept of ‘girlhood’, it’s interesting to see how a term that was for so long very gender-specific and in a way, almost neglected for the term ‘guys’ as a way to create gender neutrality, has come back with such force. So, babygirls, girlypops and girlbosses, settle in for a very confusing history and analysis of the very complicated concept of ‘girlhood’.
To provide a brief history of the term ‘girl’ (as a noun), in the 2000s, we had the era of pinks, both baby and hot, in metallics, glitter and leopard print. This almost aggressive femininity was embraced by icons like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and heavily represented in the media in movies like Mean Girls and Legally Blonde. However, this bubblegum-coloured cloud was a breeding ground for misogyny, harmful stereotypes and sexualisation. Traditional femininity has always been seen as a way of distinguishing women from men, and also increasing their sex appeal. As females, the stereotypes believe we’re dumber than men, very beautiful (and infatuated with maintaining our appearances), and the bimbocore aesthetic in ways reinforced this, although it also reclaimed sex appeal for women individually. They were wearing short skirts ‘the size of a belt’, as Paris Hilton famously said, for themselves, and repulsing mothers, fathers and guardian figures galore. However, unfortunately in the world we live in, embracing your sexuality and femininity often attracts male attention regardless of intentions, and whilst these girls are now referred to as icons of the 2000s and pioneers of the Y2K fashion movement and culture, at the time and even now in hindsight, there was a lot of toxicity. The infamous article showing Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton titled ‘Bimbo Summit’ helps sum up how these women were represented in the media and viewed by society. On the other end of the Juicy Couture tracksuits and pink miniskirts, there was also a rejection of this hyper feminine aesthetic. Being a ‘tomboy’ was also a big trend, and often in movies, these sparkly, tanned blonde girls clad in pink were represented as ‘the enemy’ (as seen in Mean Girls and High School Musical). Being a tomboy was seen as ‘cool’ and ‘edgy’, pulling away from traditional views of femininity. However, it created the idea that to be strong and independent, you can’t express your femininity, which is absolute bullshit. It added to the idea that women have to choose between being smart/strong or pretty/hot, which literally isn’t a decision anyone has to make, ever. This contrast and almost within-gender war between tomboys and girly-girls further reinforced this toxic view of women embracing this type of femininity as dumb, mean and worthless. It also further categorised women, and both ends of the spectrum had high expectations and stereotypes. Tomboys were criticised for not being ladylike or pretty, and girly-girls were thought to be dumb, self-obsessed and manipulative. Ew.
In the 2010s, there was the era of hustle and ‘girlbossing’, which came hand-in-hand with pyramid scheme and MLM culture (I recommend listening to the High Brow podcast episode ‘get in loser, we’re selling tupperware’ hosted by Mina Le), where emblems with the phrases ‘girl boss’, ‘boss babe’ and ‘boss lady’ in shades of pink, black and silver reigned supreme amongst the younger generations of women entering the workforce. ‘Girl’, which was positively seen as a fluffy, soft, cutesy term, was reclaimed as a badass name by combining it with other words seen in the male-dominated workforce, like ‘boss’. This was an attempt to create a middle ground between the two opposite ends of the ‘girl spectrum’, combining femininity with being smart, strong and hardworking. But this ‘girlboss’ culture did mean that women were pressured (and pressured each other) into overworking themselves as a way to prove their strength against the male race, and has a lot of complexity within the culture to unpack as well. Ideas of soft femininity were rejected and seen as weak, when softness can actually be a great strength. Women who chose to be stay at home mothers were criticised for ‘going against feminism’, when in reality, feminism is fighting for equality and autonomy, which again gives them the right to choose what they would like to do with their lives. Girlboss culture is still semi-present today, but predominantly in millennials, who experienced this culture firsthand throughout adulthood.
Now, in the 2020s, the word ‘girl’ is so interchangeably used, with negative connotations and positive, that it’s pretty difficult to figure out what exactly is going on. As Chappell Roan said, "it's a Femininominom.”
So, a big question that I (and a lot of others) have been considering is has the word ‘girl’ actually been fully reclaimed? It really depends on your definition of reclamation, and also your perception of feminism as a whole.
Whilst the primary uses of ‘girl’ have had seemingly positive connotations, there’s an undertone to be considered. The words ‘girlie’, ‘girlypop’ and ‘babygirl’ all have a very bubbly, cheeky and silly feeling to them, which serves their purpose. They’re used as a way to stop us from taking everything so seriously, to lighten up a little, because you're ‘just a girl’ and the world will keep spinning! I think this is a great thing, and as a society that has (especially in recent years) had to deal with so much seriousness, it helps us all feel a little lighter. In particular, I think it’s like a coping mechanism for Gen Zs, who are now having to navigate the seriousness of adulthood and want to break up their monotony and just be a bit silly. However, it’s worth considering the fact that giving terms featuring the word ‘girl’ a sillier connotation does enforce an unconscious stereotype that women are not supposed to be taken seriously; although, in my opinion, this can be counterbalanced, as the word being used is ‘girl’ and not ‘woman’, and therefore does refer to a younger audience, and is not necessarily undermining adult women as much. The same can be said for the word ‘boy’, which also has a more childish connotation.
There’s also negative connotations of these words, though. The term ‘pick me girl’ refers to any girl that wants to set herself apart from others, and usually brings down other girls in the process of trying to make herself stand out. Whilst I do believe that girls shouldn’t bring down others in the process of creating their own identity, I think making a whole phrase for it makes it equally too serious and not serious enough. Now this phrase is being used as an insult for anyone who wants to appear different, regardless of whether they’re affecting others or not, and I think that isn’t okay. Even without the ‘girl’ at the end, ‘pick me’ is still used as an insult, but only when referring to females.
So does girl still have gendered connotations? Of course it does, and it probably always will. ‘Girl’ is literally the younger version of ‘woman’. However, the difference is whether these gendered connotations carry toxic gendered stereotypes. Again, stereotypes often change and morph, but aren’t always fully eradicated. As for now at a glance, ‘girl’ has relatively neutral connotations, but the history is far from neutral. Even now, one may argue that the word carries many gendered stereotypes. I’m keen to hear other opinions on this topic, as it’s pretty complex, so please let me know what you think!

We are Cebu Institute of Technology Bachelor of Multimedia Arts students. We provide information about fashion, style, and outfits, as well as demonstrate various types of fashion and our personal fashion style and taste.
This account is basically anything fashion related, from its history to its latest trends. This account also gives tips and tricks on how to enhance your style and help you find your ideal look. In here are different types of fashion each with a brief summary.
What is Fashion?
Fashion is a form of self-expression and autonomy expressed through clothing, footwear, lifestyle, accessories, makeup, hairstyle, and body posture at a specific time, place, and context. The term refers to a fashionable look as defined by the fashion industry.
What year did Fashion started?
Fashion began when humans began to wear clothes. These garments were typically made of plants, animal skins, and bone. Before the mid-nineteenth century, there was no clear distinction between haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion.
Where was the word "Fashion" originated and what place did it start?
The history of fashion design can be traced back to 1826. From 1826 to 1895, Charles Frederick Worth is regarded as the world's first fashion designer charles, a former draper, opened a fashion house in Paris He established the tradition of fashion houses and advising customers on what type of clothing would suit them.
But how Fashion changed over the years?
The new gradually replaces the old Athletes, musicians, movie stars, social media, and royalty are all influenced by popular culture They are also interested in what people wear in popular films, television shows, online videos, books, and music. We are also influenced by advertising in the fashion industry Stars in popular culture do not stay stars by doing the same things over and over. Instead, they are constantly looking for new ways to maintain their popularity. These new perspectives are frequently expressed through new clothing or hairstyles.
Why Fashion keeps us very interested?
Every person on the planet perceives fashion differently, but we can all agree that it represents the way someone dresses and expresses their style. Fashion, it is safe to say, is universal and can include a variety of cultural and spiritual connections.
Examples of different various of new fashion wears/trends:
Streetwear- a casual fashion trend that emerged in the 1990s It includes clothing that is both comfortable and fashionable, such as graphic tees, hoodies, sweatpants, and sneakers. Hip-hop culture and skater style inspire streetwear brands.
Tech Wear- is a formed from technical and clothing. It is a new futuristic and mysterious trend that believes in the function more than the aesthetics of clothing. Professionals call this movement a visionary art in the fashion world.
Y2K wear- is an aesthetic is radically different and was inspired by the mid-'90s and early 2000s dotcom boom, when the internet became more popular. Shiny materials, chunky sneakers, pleated skirts, baguette bags, and colorful sunglasses are typical of this style, which is futuristic with a slightly retro edge with the massive peak in technological advancement, viewers were both optimistic and skeptical about the future and how it could transform our lives.
Casual Wear fashion- is basically a non-dress code meaning you can literally wear anything. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t look stylish, the code that is casual, infrequent, spontaneous, and appropriate for everyday use. Following the counterculture, casual wear became popular in the Western world.
Thrift Fashion- Thrift Fashion or upcycling fashion is a practice in which people buy secondhand clothes from thrift stores and tailor them into new and unique pieces that more authentically showcase their personality and style.
