Aight for context. Heres Imac my horrible horrible son (gender neutral) Xe are a sign up and later debut character for an object camp called Electric Remains (If you don’t know what object camps are uhh the gist is that you sign up a character to one and create “entries” in the form of comics videos whatever, in response to a prompt or “challenge” They're based on object shows like bfdi and inanimate insanity except camps like this tend to be. several degrees away from that.)

Anyways the premise of ER is that it’s a world where the Y2K actually ended the world and so the whole planet is nuked, all humans are dead, and objects are coming to life. And in this camp specifically everyone is competing for a “safe haven” away from all the shit that comes with a post nuclear apocalypse. I fucking love it and have been following it since before the cast reveal and attempted to sign up at this guy initially. Im so normal about er (lying)

- katsuki at the height of his career, may possibly be the most famous person in the country. men and women alike adore him, and its rare he can go out without cameras in his face and people asking for autographs. he, of course, doesn’t filter any of his annoyance. his pr team works overtime for him. he’s learned that being famous is fickle and fleeting. he’s made up his mind that if the world only gives him 15 minutes, he’d light it up so bright no one could forget it. its who he is ˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗

- he’s already very popular. so when the news of pro-hero dynamite and rising star [y/n] [l/n] had allegedly begun seeing each other? they freak out. 

- he doesn’t bother to hide it, anyway. you meet at some fancy gala. you’re both there for publicity, and by the time you run into him, he’s ready to go home. but there’s something about your voice, the way everyone seems to adore you, that reels him in. somehow, he finds himself in your good graces, and now he’s thought of you every night since then.

- before you, he’d only listen to hard rock, and was kind of an asshole about it. that doesn’t change, but now when he hits shuffle one of your glittery girly songs will play. and yes, he listens all the way through. ꕥ

- theres video compilations of him bringing you up during interviews. its second nature to him, being wrapped around your finger. but he’s also quick to bite anyone who even thinks of talking bad about you. he’s yours, and wants the whole world to know it. he’d never admit this, but he’s scared of messing up. he doesn’t want to give you reasons to him, or to be a motherfucker that embarrasses you. if he can help out, he never wants to be the reason for your next breakup album.

- he’s your biggest supporter. he often gets fed up with the paparazzi and their invasiveness, especially when all he wants to do is watch his partner perform. however, he has a soft spot for your fans, the ones who have supported you and gotten you all the love you deserve. he claims friendship bracelets and hats are dumb but doesn’t hesitate to receive bracelets your fans make at concerts. most of the time, its brightly coloured beads with song lyrics or little inside jokes from your fandom. he once got a bracelet that was dynamite-themed and he keeps it on his dresser. he loves being accepted by you and the people that love you.

- he has 100 reasons to be cocky, and the fact that theres songs you’ve written about him is one of them. you’re out here singing about good bed chem and making tongue paintings and everyone knows he’s what inspired it. makes sense when you look at him.

- oh, and speaking of concerts? he can’t be there every time- hero work is demanding- but for you? he’s flexible. watching you perform makes his entire week. he’ll watch from the wings, nodding along with the beat, his heart swelling when he hears you belt and hold the note. the best part is what the audience doesn’t get to see- him catching you as you run to him, kissing your head and spinning you around, telling you how proud he is.

“i’m glad you made it.” you gleam, almost forgetting to turn your mic off so no one else gets to hear. he wipes a little sweat off your head, almost a little envious at how good you can look after a 2 hour show.

“of course, idiot.” he smirks. “wouldn’t miss it for anything.”

SHOUTO TODOROKI

- fun fact: shouto is voted most handsome pro-hero of the year, right after hawks ᢉ𐭩

- despite his massive popularity, he’s the most private on this list. he knows what its like to have to smile for the cameras, to keep things looking neat and pretty, all for an act. so as much as possible, he tries to keep the good in his life to himself. he’s never seen an ugly truth that couldn’t be bent into something that looks better.

- he worries he’s making it hard for you to love him. you’re always patient, saying you can take it, that you also want something very private. but god, do you make it hard for him. even when the rumours of your relationship swirl, he’s tempted to just come out and confirm it so he doesn’t have to feel the uncertainty.

- all of his worries wash away, however, when he hears lyrics about him. it makes his heart ache, even when it’s something simple, that you want him to miss you or want him to think of you when he holds someone else (not that he’d be holding anyone other than you). people can speculate who you’re writing about, but its little gift to him that he’s privy to it.

- he will not miss a single award show with you. because you two are so private, the fans go crazy or even small interactions between you two. theres grainy footage of you two talking and holding hands with everyone crashing out in the comment section (😭)

- his siblings loveeeeee your music. them, living more normal, less famous lives, have the privilege of seeing your concerts without being bothered or questioned. fuyumi streams your album’s religiously and drags natsuo and his girlfriend along as well. you tossed her a guitarl pick once and she hasn’t emotionally recovered from it, let alone the fact that her little brother is dating you ৻ꪆ

- he takes it as a blessing everyday that he gets to see your process. he specifically loves creating album covers with you. you asked him if, hypothetically, he wanted to be on the cover for the deluxe version and he blanked out. you have to remind him that he’s literally the entire package, that he fits perfectly, and that you can’t resist that face of his, and that you both arrive at the same time.

- like katsuki, he also enjoys attending your concerts. he happily embraces you, knowing that while the audience got you for an entire show, he gets to have you for as long as you’ll love him. he makes sure to hold you on his right side in case you’re overheating from the performance.

“here, let me grab these for you.” he says, helping you undo your performance outfits, unzipping the chunky glitters and fluorescent fabrics. he thinks that there isn’t a single colour that looks bad on you, but can’t imagine what its like to wear these for hours at a time.

- unlike the other two on this list, he’s not famous. he’s spent a few years now teaching, and its a job he’s learned to love. its humble, and quiet, but he can’t help but feel like some part of it is missing. he started to entertain the idea that he’d end this life alone.

- he meets you at a party. you’re a friend of a friend, and he still can’t believe that he has a real, breathing famous singer in front of him. not only that, but you notice him in a room of other celebrities. he was bound to fall for you the moment your eyes made contact.

- much like shouto, he keeps it private. even if he did, he wouldn’t have very many people to tell. his friends were the reason he even met you. his mom adores you. who does that leave, his students? he’s humble, even when he’s dating the most gorgeous and talented person to ever breathe.

- he loves being in the studio with you. it started out with just little sessions, kissing while talking, watching you tune your guitar and play little notes on your piano. then he became the first person to hear your demos and rough drafts. now? he has song writing credits in your newest album ❤︎₊ ⊹

- his ideas give you so much more than just butterflies. he has this way of finishing your sentences, knowing and feeling the exact vision you had for a piece. every now and then, he’ll flick through your notebook and find verses that sound awfully familiar. he wonders if he’s the guy who’s “jacked and kind” and who “talks sweet when you’re doing bad things.” he won’t say anything at first, but he’ll nestle his head between your legs and give you more things to write about.

Okay deltarune yap session with no regards for spoilers buckle up

The tone shift between the two chapters is genuinely what fucks me up the most here. Since chapter 2 ended in the way that it did, i really was expecting chapter 3 to possibly lean into a more creepy unsettling aspect, but it ended up being pretty fucking lighthearted outside of a few places. I think that kinda led me into a false sense of security because then even when it ended so badly, the fact that it had been proceeded by a concerning ending and then was lighthearted made me think the next chapter would be the same. It was not.

I guess chapter 3 did have some pretty unsettling parts; i havent fully finished the S rank room stuff since i only got an S rank on round 2 (and am probably gonna wait a few days before replaying on my snowgrave file and making sure i do it there) but i did play through that version of the original game and found it pretty unsettling. There is the comment here to be made that i find a LOT of things unsettling because im a very afraid person in general that is very VERY bad with basically any visual/audio horror (though ironically very into written horror) to the point that i basically always have to either watch someone else play it before hand or have someone else on hand to take over if i chicken out too hard. So anyway maybe the original game actually isnt that unsettling idfk anyways.

Chapter 4 really amped up with unsettling parts especially for me personally. To start with, the whole section in Noelle's house. I don't know if it's cause i was playing it at like midnight (when my paranoia around shit like this gets worse at around 10) or what, but Kris catching me in the kitchen the first time and that creepy ass phone call made me so anxious i had to look up and watch someone else's playthrough of the section to finish it. Cause also part of me kinda thought that the red text in the phone call was meant to be directed at me, and even with most of me thinking that was for Kris, i still thought the section was gonna be a race against the clock to either stop Susie from getting the guitar, or stop Kris from stopping Susie. Also did you know apparently theres bonus dialogue if you go see Asgore in the bathroom and then go to Noelle's parent's room? Because id watched a playthrough and the girl playing that saw Asgore i didn't bother going there also, and i had the thought about her parent's room but ending up not going because i just wanted out of the section asap. So i missed that, maybe ill check it out during the snowgrave replay or maybe ill just find a video.

That being said, moving onto the chapter 4 dark world. Oh boy. The number of the echolocation sections was painful for me. And the funniest part is i dont think i would even be that scared if not for them having a chase scene in one right at the start of the fucking chapter. Especially adding on that we know the knight is there. Honestly if Toby hadnt ever given me a reason to be scared of them, i think i wouldve actually really enjoyed them. The magic of the atmosphere you can create with just one move. I also got to find the secret boss on my own for once! Chapter 1 and 2 i didnt even realize there was one until i read about them online, and 3 i did correctly guess that was where the S rank door led (technically speaking at least). And i love the green soul attacks so i was fucking hyped. Still took me like 1-1.5 hours to beat him but i enjoyed it. Usually play with keyboard but switched to a controller about halfway through because i was struggling with the diagonal block inputs. Definitely helped so try that if you're struggling.

And god, everything with Gerson just hit so hard emotionally. I kinda from the statt thought it was Gerson, and i did vaguely remember seeing his grave so the reveal itself didn't impact me much, but seeing Susie's response to it all, especially having done the secret fight, just hit so fucking hard. And i hadnt been expecting the twisted dark world at all. It makes sense, how Susie making a dark world would end up that way, even more so with the context. Not only does Susie just have a unique perspective on a lot of things to begin with, leading to things like moving the piano instead of the bookcase and destroying them, but she also made the dark world in such a terrible emotional state that of course it would be so fucked up, because she just learned that a person who helped and supported her throughout the chapter is fucking dead and had been the whole time. That he entrusted his final words to his son with her. The entire dark world being a warped and reversed version of her memories with him twisted by her grief. When fighting the statue, when the light flashed to reveal it, i genuinely wholeheartedly believe for a moment that we were fighting his corpse, and i don't think anything else could ever make my heart sank the way it did ever again.

And the fucking titan. Dude on one hand im like "oh lovely the reoccuring mechanic throughout the chapter that you sucked at is now important in the final boss gee where have i seen that before" but besides that. Honestly such a good fight. And chilling also, it just really, really drives home how fucked that is. Also really changes that scene where Berdly acts like he's gonna make a dark fountain in chapter 2, can you imagine how badly that would've gone then?

And the final piece of the prophecy..... I know a lot of people have been thinking that it said someone would die, but part of me is maybe thinking it's like, the world must be sacrificed and reset and started anew or something like that. Something something undertale idk. I just feel bad for Susie man. Like she was having such a good time, finally having friends, then she gets hit by sudden near unexplainable grief, then right when she thinks she has a chance to say goodbye to Gerson, she gets information that i am absolutely sure flipped her entire world on it's head. I've heard there was extra dialogue if you went to the lake before going back to Kris's house, which i missed unfortunately, and i'll look a video up later, and that maybe expands on that. But its honestly insane how much focus Susie got these chapters, honestly to an extent it's almost feeling like we and Kris aren't the protaganist but rather the witnesses to the story of Susie.

Also Sans is so from Deltarune. If every other piece of info wasn't enough, then playing a stripped down version of it was raining somewhere else instead titled the place where it rained immediately before a scene involving Sans is such obvious hinting its almost insane.

most of my ideas on her are based on canon, so ive never considered them outlandish enough to call headcanons, but i guess technically pretty much all of my rants about her could be sorted as such, since they try to build on what we already know and extrapolate an analysis. i have too many to list. ill try to compile some here, though. longer ones are under the cut.

i moreso stole this headcanon then made it but i agree that reko cant cook for shit. she lives off takeout and stuff she burnt in the microwave, much to her protective older brother's dismay.

i believe reko was putting on her makeup and styling her hair every morning in chapter 2. again, i stole this one.

i think reko would be really good at video games

reko would be very good at ice skating

despite being good at drawing her eyeliner, i dont think she can draw very well on paper.

reko paints her nails sometimes (she likes the smell) but its always chipped somehow, even if she just painted them.

she doesnt have an extensive (if any) skin care routine (thats more her brothers thing) but she does have a hair care routine after almost frying off all her hair several times trying to bleach it herself. she only dyes her bangs now but she still takes good care of her hair (especially with the way she has to style it everyday).

reko is either out of the bathroom in 2 seconds or she takes an hour because she gets distracted and starts messing with her hair or makeup. it used to drive alice crazy when they both lived with their parents. not now alice, you can go shit in the bushes, reko is using her eyeliner as face paint.

reko tries not to do this when shes working on new songs, but shes the type of person who almost always listening to some kind of music. she loves finding new music and new subgenres.

shes not really a messy person but shes not very neat, either. she usually has trash slowly building up somewhere. nothing 15 minutes of panic cleaning cant fix, but its there.

i think reko made / makes a lot of her own punk clothes and accessories, and generally has frugal habits around her style. it started when she was a teen because her rebelliousness and delinquency led to her being perpetually grounded, so no allowance. shes awful at customer service so she couldnt really get an entry level job. her music wasnt really marketable and she probably didnt have her own band in her younger teens ( i think samurai yaiba was probably only started when she was about to or already graduated high school) so there wasnt much if any income from there. she may have done some odd jobs but they didnt pay much and she was intimidating to people, so it was hard to get gigs. all this led to her getting good at sewing, dying, bleaching and otherwise making her own clothes. probably owns a bunch of pins, studs, and zippers in bulk just to sew onto stuff. i think the same thing applies to her make up- she uses fancier water / sweat proof on stage, but off stage? dollar store eyeliner and foundation. she doesnt care about the risks, she goes through her make up too fast to bother with the fancy stuff.

reko has an impressive memory generally, but when she struggles with it, she makes little songs or rhymes to help her remember (she did this to sometimes help her speed memorize for tests in school. then, she had to whisper-sing it under her breath and swing her foot to the beat and itd be all you could hear in the test room, and shed either get in trouble or just be really embarrassed).

speaking of school, i dont think reko went to college or post secondary school; in ytts theres a whole thing about her hating school. but aside from that, the timing would be really tight. shes canonically 23, samurai yaiba was 2 1/2 years ago, so she wouldve been 20-21, and you graduate high school at 18. i cant say i know a lot about japanese college, but if it has the same status of degrees as in the US, it wouldnt really make sense for her to have gone to college- she was likely a drop out or never went in the first place.

i think reko has some burner account(s) where she dumps experimental music. its not always avant garde, but she likes playing with different genres. the problem is they keep escaping containment, even though shes embarrassed by them and thinks theyre all shit. no one can know about her breakcore album with 6 million views that she made while she was drunk and garage band crashed halfway through so theres weird chunks missing and distorted audio. no one. no one can know about the ska music made. god, not the ska.

reko has theater kid energy to me (both the yabusames do), but i doubt she was ever in any productions. her band/orchestra vibes are stronger and thats probably what she wouldve devoted all her time to instead. maybe, like, one musical, but she mightve not gotten the role she wanted and immediately quit. if she was, she drove everyone up a wall cause she was so hard to work with. shes a natural but she never shows up to any practices and is so easy to piss off, especially during the acting portions. skipping practice isnt a big deal to her because she can memorize things quickly, but it screws all the other actors up. she just isnt a team player (or rather, reko really wasnt a team player in highschool).

reko is a caffeine addict. she has overworking tendencies and i (used to) headcanon her as someone who abstains from alcohol / drugs / etc, so she resorts to coffee instead.

speaking of- i used to strongly believe reko wouldnt be the type to smoke or drink, specifically because i misinterpreted a line she said about her father ('hes not the best at staying true to his convictions, and gives into temptation') as being about addiction, when it was probably just supposed to be about her dad giving into the temptation of trying to make reko famous. looking back on it, thats closer to canon, and with the stress of being in the spotlight at such an early age and her self described 'delinquent phase' it makes a lot of sense to headcanon her as being a smoker or using other stimulants. i still think that you could possibly interpret her dad as having started doing those things at some point once they had surplus money from rekos early career, and i like the details that adds to her character; her trying to rebel from the industry not just out of a growing hate for it from being forced to do it, but also a wake up call for her father and hoping maybe hell stop if she refuses to be an idol anymore. her partially being so high strung later on because she never lets herself off the hook or resorts to substances that could calm her down.

i strongly believe reko has no idea how to actually be friends with people. like, yeah, when you talk to her during discussions she holds conversation pretty well and its not as if people dont want to be her friend or even that shes bad at it- its just that she has no experience. she doesnt know what shes doing. during pretty much the entirety of her developmental years, she was either getting forced into music stuff she didnt wanna do by her father or doing the music stuff she did wanna do. probably the only people she hung out with, if at all, were people she could hop the fence with to skip, and they werent really friends. alice even states himself that she had a habit of pushing people away and was alone.

in the same vein, alice may have dated more people than his far more charismatic sister. i refuse to drop this headcanon because its funny as hell. alice comes off strong, which you think would be a deterrent, but a lot of people are into that. its not as if reko doesnt, herself, but.... she has to deal with sheeping and girls thinking theyre just friends on top of that. moreover, i dont see reko as a flirty person- a lot of side content involves her getting flustered in some way. reko has an awkward flustered streak and it doesnt come out often but when it does it comes out strong, and its easy to find if you know where to look, so to speak. i mean, did you see the way she talked to nao on the 2f landing?

MEDIA EWY CONSUMED IN 2024

i did one of these for 2022, not sure if I did one for 2023 but here we go !! CYBERPUNK 2077

easily the most influence piece of media that has directly affected my songwriting ("sexual brain dance attractor", thats how you know i'm truly obsessed). god where do i start !! I don't have a lotta time to play video games nowadays but I started this game in february and finished it in December, took me around 70 hours? So, what, 7 hours a month? anyways, this game is gorgeous. the visuals, the world, the storytelling, god its good!! i love how in depth everything goes. especially the DLC. you'll think a mission is wrapped up but a tiny decision you made during it comes back and bites you several hours later. THATS good world building baby!! ALSO so many lines of dialogue??? its actually crazy. the world feels so alive. the city is beautiful and oppressing, the stories within it are dystopian and uplifting, society feels alive and buried. i love it, genuinely a 9/10 for me. I could go more into it but I'd be here all day. Outer Wilds

I think I technically finished this game at the start of this year. I've just started playing the DLC recently. It's an extremely good game that I can say pretty much nothing about. just go play it, trust me. 8/10

I Saw The TV Glow

I believe I already talked about this a little on here. I liked this movie don't get me wrong but it was extremely bloated and felt like it was seriously pushing its 1hr30 run time. I also didn't feel seriously affected by it since the horror the movie was ascribing, I'd already felt. maybe its good for describing the trans experience to a cis person but i just didn't really feel that strongly about it. it was an extremely solid 6/10 for me. a lotta points for the 'vibe' of the movie. it had a very strong feeling thats hard to even put into words. its like when you're a kid and you sneak downstairs in the middle of the night to watch TV and you hear the hiss of the CRT and feel the fuzz on the screen. you go to sleep and have nightmares of the living room. good vibe. The Muppet Movie (1979)

god FUCK, absolute cinema. I love love jim henson. I relate to kermit the frog an extraordinary amount. so many big hopes of making it big in an oppressive industry that wants you to advertise yourself. so many people relying on you to make that dream happen. so many people to organise. but all of thats worth it to make the dream come true and it wouldn't be possible without the friends we made along the way. i get it, i understand the rainbow connection and one day i'll find it too. 10/10 The Muppets (2011)

The jokes, oh my god, they are so funny. This is such a good fucking movie, theres not a single minute where i felt bored or like a scene was unnecessary. it really did feel like someone really wanted the muppets to make a comeback and they came out SWINGING which i guess is what the movie is all about!! I guess if the muppet movie (1979) was all about jim hensons story as a creator, the muppets (2011) is all about someone who felt so inspired by him that he wanted to bring back the magic. 10/10

The Muppets Most Wanted (2014)

It's aight !! definitely worth a watch if you like the muppets (2011) but ricky gervais brings this shit down so much. like an extraordinary amount. its like he doesnt wanna be there !! he's so flat !! for gods sake man stop being transphobic for a second, you're in a fucking muppets movie !!!!!! the opening song and the interrogation song SLAPS but a lot of the songs just don't hold up to the OGs. its a good movie but i wouldn't say its any more than that 7/10 The Muppets (2015)

The way it goes is themed after infinite realities, death,, living and basically heaven? Which i came up with after having like several years of haunting dreams LOL

For the longest time since i was little ive had dreams of being in some sort of messed up apocalypse so thats what the mind is from!! His name is Xiety and he looks like me when i had those dreams, or like some fucked up bird thing heheh

After all that though i started having dreams where i was,, different people sort of?? Dreams with different povs or dreams where i lived entire different lives. Thats Jerri! the body.

The last little guy is called matthew and isnt based off any dreams but more based off the feeling i get when i realize im dreaming. Ive never lucid dreamed but ive always had like a moment to realize "this isnt my life" and im just like viewing whats happeining o_0

All together i made a story for when they get sort of seperated, Xiety, the mind is seperated from the two in a apocalyptic world they have control over and hides the heart (matthew). The body being basically a carbon copy of itself just wanders around this world. Jerri cant remember how they got there or where they are from, but they die, over and over and over. Until eventually, they find the heart, in some rubble, and they sort of gain concious enough to realize "um im stuck in infinite zombie reality hell and this is NOT my reality" they take the plush and try to survive, but xiety kinda catches on and feels betrayed by this. He cant comprehend why on earth the body would want to live knowing what he knows (news flash only the mind knows what he knows of their og reality) HENCE the breaking out and being stuck in a infinite inbetween of constant realities woooo. Jerri and Matthew try to find to find the og reality, going through different bodies, meeting different minds and dying in ALOT of them. It becomes kinda clear that in most realities NONE of them do they live or are happy LMAO

in order to get paid while i dont have a school they're making me do technically training in the support office (its basically watching YouTube videos on how the smart boards and tablets at schools work...busy work)

but it kinda seems like they dont LIKE ALTs that much in the support office

theyre trying to talk one lady into taking 2 weeks off because her asthma is bad and she keeps saying that shes fine because she CANT take 2weeks off because shes out of PTO and cant afford to miss half the paycheck period

they legally cant force her, but theyve been pestering the shit out of her for more than a week

that second training i did was apparently made last second for the one guy i was in training with (but a lot of the training stuff is partner work so they had me do it with him),, and the guy in charge of the trainings was like "what makes him so special that he got his own special training say instead of waiting for the next one in October?"

even though he was looking right at the guys profile and knew he literally already lived in walking distance to the school they needed an ALT for immediately AND he already had the proper visa so it MADE SENSE to start him immediately but the trainings are legally mandated by the school board, so it MADE SENSE to just give him his own training and then let me participate so i could get paid for SOMETHING while i dont have a school

and one guy was complaining to the lady in charge of apartments that his neighbors were cooking something or using cleaning supplies or something that kept setting off his allergies and he had to go to the hospital twice and shes like "idk what you want me to do about it, i cant stop your neighbors"

he asked to move to a different unit thats also the companies in the same building that's empty and she said no because they were MAYBE moving somebody in there NEXT MONTH??? like thatd be hard paperwork?? moving the new person into his unit and moving him to the empty one???

also i saw them grading somebodys demo video and the lady grading him said "how did he make it this far in the interview, he kinda sucks and we fail 90% of the people that apply anyways" and the guy next to her said "the person doing his interview has failed 82% of the 90% that fails so he needs to pass some to keep out of trouble, but YOU can fail him"

also also, they made this whole big stink about us always being in full business suits all the time, even when the principal and teachers arnt because we are not school employees, we are business employees and representing the company blah blah blah

but NO FUCKING BODY since ive been here has worn a suit once, like they arnt wearing jeans, but ive seen slacks and t shirts or dresses with fun patterns (the only patterns ALTs are allowed are pinstripes, checkers, and polkadots)

also?? this one i took personally cus it was about my friend,,, but the other day her company car died on her while she was driving (she sent me a pic, its a real clunker, full jalopy status, basically a lemon),, and today she called the English help hotline so they could help her translate with the mechanic,, and they put her on hold and were like

"isnt there a required Japanese test during interviews?? she cant do this much?? we need to make that test harder"

like???? we need to know how to say transmission in japanese to teach kindergartners the colors????????? thats why theres a fuckin HOTLINE, this is literally your JOB youre getting PAID for

maybe give her a functional car of you don't wanna deal with this, youre already taking car fees from her check, you gotta deal with the consequenced of giving her a shitty ass car

last thing, bossman called me on Friday asked me to come at 9:00 to talk about stuff, he didn't show up at all today, so he called another guy in the office to talk about the stuff with mw instead at 1:00 (that guy keeps his phone loud, it wasn't on speaker but he was standing next to me and i could hear the whole conversation) and bossman said "she seems forgetful so i was hoping she would forget about the meeting and i could put her on probation for not showing up"

so i was right in thinking they dont actually want me here, i was probably one of the people that guy hired to save his own ass,, which makes sense kinds?? cus i get the vibe bossman is always trying to catch me in a lie by rephrasing the same questions on different occasions even though i NEVER LIED,, hes trying to find something to put me on probation

It can genuinely be really scary, to find yourself wondering "hey if there was a fire right now, could I get up, or would I just lie here?" Because youve been in overdrive and overdrive is broken. Id like to believe that the will to live would prevail but I wouldnt know until I was in that situation. Is real danger processed differrently to psychological danger?

I did have a situation the other night struggling to get food together for dinner, my partner was also exhausted, we planned badly (not at all) for shops being closed and I had a few moments of "guess we're starving tonight then". And then I was just up and moving toward the kitchen to see what could be scrounged. Im not sure I made a conscious decision to do so. Theres a tiny bit of, its not quite learned helplessness, its like theres levels of Cant Do A Thing. And sometimes when Thing Needs Doing and you Cant, but no one else can, its like it increases in urgency and then you reavaluate your spoons. Like a lot of the time my partner helps me with things I could technically do, but if I did Id be in more pain, Id have less energy to do things I enjoy that makes life worthwhile, and to her its not such a big deal to do. And sometimes we pingpong a task back and forth trying to measure how deep we would each have to dig to get it done and who will have the very relatively easier time. And sometimes the push does come with more pain, or meltdown, or panic, or tears. Some tasks just arent negotiable.

One of the worst things about being disabled, the most draining, and I sort of forgot it was unusual till Hank Green mentioned it in one of his videos about his cancer, that it was a new amd exhausting ezperience for him. Youre having to make countless decisions day in and day out. Constantly measuring energy against task against urgency or need, against survival vs fun and enjoyment, against what else is planned for the day and the week and the month, am I choosing between tasks, am I even calculating correctly. On top of that, constant monitoring of the self. How am I feeling, are these known symptoms, do they need treatment right now, ok which treatment? Is this abnormal, is it worrying, should I mention it to my dr? How long since I last had painkillers? This symptom has three conditions in common, if its a migraine I need meds immediately but if its just dehydration I dont want to be taking meds I dont need -

And on top of that is actual appointments. I had to take a months long break from most medical care because I burnt out of being able to convey relevant information and understand relevant information and parse it all and make decisions about treatment and tests. and then scheduling and scheduling and scheduling, theres only so many appointments one can attend in a week in a month so everything takes time and if you overbook you end up crashed and panicked and unable to function to even show up and its endless. Its hundreds of important health related decisions day in and day out and then we still have to decide what to eat for lunch like everyone else. On less capacity than everyone else.

Sometimes you just need to step back and rest for an hour a day a week a month. A couple years. Pacing is difficult. Resting is absurdly difficult. Im definitely out of spoons for more of this rn. Its. A lot. Burnout is so so real and the only way through is maximum rest.

One thing I don't think the Spoon metaphor has helped able-bodied people understand is that you can overdraw.

Generally, for most conditions, running out of spoons doesn't mean you collapse, doesn't produce an effect they can actually see. What it means is that you run on life support, quite possibly unsafely, until you get to a safe place and can stop. But you'll owe those spoons back, with interest. You'll have hurt yourself to do it.

Sometimes I hang out with a friend and they'll be like, wow, I'm really glad you had a good day. And I have to decide whether to make them feel bad by explaining that in fact they did not catch me on a good day, and tomorrow will probably be bad. I just made choices.

Sonic, 9 is bad enough. But try and think what leaders like Trump, Putin and many others would do if they found about hybrids like Kafka. Thats another world disaster waiting in a whole new way. Espeically the ones with tyrants as leaders.

You bet your ass Tiny gets inspired by some that alright. Kafka is in for many headaches to come to try and get the larva to understand that some things is not possilbe or is just a plain bad idea in general. A fool Kafka can be, but he is smarter then he looks. Theres a reason why he always passed the first test to join the DF after all. Even if there are some subjects he is not so good at.

So I've told you that Kafka is a rare single brith among his family. No matter how hard his parents tried, he was the only one they ever had before they deaths. Which happened when Kafka was in his early 20s. Nomrally, there is at least 2 or 3 kids per member of the hibino family, sometimes five or more if they get really lucky. But that did not mean they did not love him though.

However, they worried. As they are aware that their family is loosing members of their family for decades at a very fast phase. Thanks to both natural causes and to the DF getting way better at fighthing kaijus. Which as I've told you has caused quite some moral crisis for the whole organization given the fact they have unintentionally fought, harvested and made weapons out of many of Kafka's family members for decades. Not to mention with the fact that many of those Kafka knows and have become friends with have weapons actually made of said family members. I know theres a ask with this stuff here somewhere, but I can't quite remember who got who.

Well, aside from the fact that Eiji's battle armour is made from either Kafka's great grandfather, uncle or the like. Not sure which yet. And Bakko is on a technically related to Kafka due having some of the hibino DNA inside him. It so easy to forget things when its been a while since you last checked your older stuff.

There aren't enough words found in the human language that can discribe just how awkward the talks Kafka has with his friends when they learn of this fact. Nor with the DF's high command on the issue. Some of them honestly think they should just get a new weapon thats not made from the himbo's family. But the fact remains that the hibino's are very strong kaijus and makes far too good weapons to not be used. It does however leads to new rules, procedures and checking whether or not they are dealing with the corpse of a kaiju or a hybrid though.

Don't remind me of real life assholes. I definitely ain't missing that point at all. BTW, I have been tagging the older posts of this AU with bloodline au so it should be easier to find. Also recommend checking my likes as I liked them too.

Tiny and Kafka definitely butt heads with biological changes. Like I imagine the himbo has to debunk certain ideas using established research or the occasional Roanoke video. Though the larva is gonna menace him to visit a library for more data.

Revisions are practically guaranteed for almost everything upon the discovery of natural hybrids. Permission waivers, updated physicals, unique schedules, etc. It's only a matter of time before kaiju/hybrids join the norm so an early set up will help a lot.

ok! zone 0 + 1 time !!

off starts with you, the player, being assigned to the batter and told he has a sacred mission to purify the land of all spectres. important!! to note here the game makes a very clear distinction between you and the batter. you are controlling him, moving his body, but you are not him

after that, you're let out in zone 0, where you meet the judge, a cat with a wide toothy grin. hes the 'tutorial' of the game. well zone 0 in general is the tutorial zone, the judge is the bigger tutorial but i digress

after you solve the puzzles in zone 0 the judge introduces you to 'the nothingness' an in between area that you can travel from zone to zone in. so naturally you go to zone 1

zone one is where you get your first add-on, alpha. addons are allies that fight alongside you in battle. the batter is one of two characters who use add ons. it's also where you get a lot of worldbuilding. the four elements (theres a fifth technically but thats later) are:

smoke. basically the air elsens (common people, inhabit all zones. named that from the first area the player and the batter interact with one, technically they have no defined ingame name.) breathe. its trapped under the metal mines in zone 1, and when mined forms the atmosphere 

metal. high quality metal are tools, all the rest is discarded and forms the ground people walk on. extracted from cows, which forms in them as lumps

plastic. in liquid form, the "oceans" of this world. in solid, used as tools. mostly liquid, since its talked about being shipped in bottles

meat. what everyone eats. its also found in a big fountain in zone 1. it comes from. the cows. obviously

zone one is basically the producer zone, where all the material goods are made. theres not a ton of puzzles in zone one? its more of a worldbuilding chapter? theres a few but theyre nothing compared to the others 

the guardian of zone one is dedan, a strict and terrifying guardian. he rules zone 1 with an iron fist, although i cant help but think hes justified in doing so. i mean his zone does produce almost everything.. anyway!

hes the first boss of the game, and the most intimidating enemy you fight thus far. but eventually, you defeat him and purify zone 1 completely. 

ok quick pause to talk about guardians -

they're basically the overseers of each zone. they're sent by the queen (we'll find out more about her later) to take care of each of their zones and report back to her. each of them do their job in a different way, with varying levels of efficiency

zone one is also where you first meet zacharie! he serves as the traditional items merchant necessary in every video game! hes so. gh. he breaks the fourth wall almost all the time (in fact at one point in the game he directly tells you to look in the games files). he's also directly aware of the players existence (as are the batter and the judge) and even talks to them a few times! despite that he seems amicable to the batter. :)

after defeating dedan, there is a short cutscene where a child sits alone in a red room. he coughs, saying "that didnt start well..." and then the cutscene ends.

Backstory; The Save File

So, I've been playing this save since I've been in middle school (currently in college) on and off again because my interest comes and goes. So since middle school. Originally, had gotten sims and didn't know what to do, and before as a kiddo i watched videos where people design the disney princess and make them do things, there was a certain series but anyways, it facinated me and i thought it would be fun.

(i first tried cc but i kinda get annoyed that things break so i just gave up after like 2 generations.) Anyways, so I make a sim, get a challenge pulled up, first one i find, try and give up on reading the rules for a legacy challenge, and start.

Immidiated i didn't read the first one because i thought adultery was fun as a middle schooler (haha so edgy) and didn't read that technically you're supposed to have Snow White have 7 children with ONE dude. So. Oops. This is exactly when i decided to be like, screw it these are more of a guideline for my game play anyways. This is where i see that the princesses aren't in order of movie release and go "nop i don't care about the storyline they gave me, its going in order >>:("

So a few years go by, i b doin my best, on and off again, and i think aroundddddddd..... Gen 7 Jasmine that my sister (love her <3) got me an in to get all the sims packs (im on sims 4, idk if that needed clarification). Side note: we used to share an account but when sims went free i made an account and transfered my files over (she played less sims than i did at that point but then i got her back hooked whoops). but anyway, SUDDENTLY THERES SO MUCH TO DO AND EXPLORE.

There's so much more cas, theres so many different worlds, buildings, aspects, etc. And suddenly, im actually really sad that my sims of the past didn't get the full experience like that.

BUT, luckily, i had gotten really attached to all my sims early (gen 01 lol) so i had most of the sims backed up on my gallery. In fact, i was so attached to them that i had a lot of different versions of them saved. So i just put them into a seperate world where they could be immortal and live their best lives <3

so there i am, very content to have my two save files. one with the real progression, and one that i've been calling my dollhouse; they're in my toy box, when i feel like playing with them i pop on by and then let them be the rest of the time. But uh, i got a little too invested. and then i realized i had, well. regrets.

I'll make a little seperate post about that later.

but well, i had been writing down quirks and taking pictures of my sims for so long, i have a google drive with just a lot of musing and notes and uploading pictures. I really wanted to write a story based on them, this huge family, because well. I really love them. They're my babies. But i've literally never written anything before. I was a then aspiring writer, stuck writing notes and facts lol. nothing else.

i also had pictures on a drive because i wanted easier access to their appearences, because i wanted to try drawing them out so i could have the scenarios from my head somewhere. I think i was inspired to art because my sister is an artist (she's so good at it) so i wanted to try to draw my dear characters but i literally stopped at Eira lmao (Snow White) i could not do character design. I'll post the drawings sometime, theyre scatted places where i doodled. And i was playing sims on this old computer i didn't feel secure on, in my childhood bedroom so :p, i was in school most days and using my laptop so i tried google drive.

BUT IM TIRED OF JUST HAVING NO ONE TO RAMBLE TO so here we are.

so recently (this summer) i made a NEW world to start inserting them with all the new additions. The primary reason for this was because even though i loved them..... they weren't really characters. They didn't have relationships to them, just my imaged ones. I've a really bad mindset of grinding in the sims instead of being social, so they were actually sorely lacking in personality. Base Game sims 4 didn't help matters. So even though i was picuring and writing, i never got to actually see them interact as childhood besties. They didn't have any random friendships. I barely threw any official birthday parties. So, i wanted to kinda turn back the clock and figure things out.

So, recap: i have a save where i play the "challenge". an old save where i store them, and a new save where im passing them over slowly and storing them.

But now i feel like i have too many thoughts about them to keep to myself so here we are, typing :p. I would keep typing in the google docs but honestly, those were more cynical notes for myself, like disecting a species. I thought a blog would be a good place for like, more informal posts. so, yeah :)

so first up some explanations about Unity & coding in general just cause ik it can be confusing. This probably isnt like 100% accurate explanations, its just the way I think about it and I am Technically a professional software developer that knows a bit about unity.

Shaders themselves are written in a language called OpenGL - they're actually a pretty weird kind of code? Basically, all a shader does is take in one value, and output another. Like a basic RGB shader might take in a Vec3(red value, green value, blue value) like Vec3(255, 0, 0), and then just just output that exactly. That's what an 'unlit' shader does. The shader is still necessary because thats the piece of code that tells the GPU what to do when its given a 3D object.

I'm sure most folks playing video games know this to a degree, but all 3D shapes in digital space are typically made up of a ton of triangles linked together. Those triangle faces are made up of vertices, and the explanation of how all thats calculated and figured out by your computer is personally boring so I'm not going to bother with it, but it is relevant to how shader code works. Most shaders need to know where in digital space they're calculating and where stuff like light sources are.

All of the fancy bits of lighting in a shader are really just equations using the point in space, the location of light sources, and commonly, the color of the base texture of the 3D object to determine the final color of the object after its processed.

This is one of the purposes of "UV mapping" an object's texture actually - it's how you tell the computer where the color on a 2D image relates to a location on a 3D object

in Unity specifically, most stuff is handled through different kinds of objects. I think part of the original draw of Unity as an engine was the ability to package up any combination of assets and send them to someone else? Since as long as you hold all the different pieces of an object, anyone can use it. Even different scripts can be attached to different objects in many ways - thats why you might hear about crazy sounding things like "every object that moves is actually a door pretending very hard to not be a door" out of context for a game. That "Door" script just happens to swing exactly the same way a falling platform needs to, so why bother writing a second script to do the same thing.

For shaders, and this I think is common for most things that render in 3D not just Unity, they are typically packaged into "Material" Objects. this is your basic out of the box Unity material

Unity does let you directly edit their shader code but its kind of a mess to look at so here's a basic shader from the site "ShaderToy"

if someone wants a break down of whats happening there lmk this is just to show you its all math, always has been.

Materials in any 3D program can be put on as many objects as you want - so the same metal material can be applied to anything metallic - and the color and texture for individual objects can be still be different. This is where the issues with Shining Nikki's skin materials come into play; most likely, they just used the same exact material as the base skin tone on all the skin tone without testing or caring how it interacted with the other textures.

Skin is a very difficult thing to replicate - as @alenadragonne mentioned on Miss K's post, the shader/material effects often involve several layers put on top of each other in a funky math way to get that feeling of softness. Theres also other effects that are used as well. A "Bump map" masks where lighting shines to replicate the feeling of texture in the lighting, and a "Displacement map" makes it visually appear as though the bumps and cracks in a texture were actually modeled

game makers toolkit is just now starting a series about them learning how to make games as a complete beginner (at least on the technical side), if youve never made a game before but wanted to, following along with this might be a nice place to start since you’ll both be starting from the same place (theres also a ton of videos on his channel about the actual game design side of things)

brackeys is no longer active but they have a ton of great unity videos. has a few “build a game from scratch” videos that are great to follow along to just learn the workflow and get started 

mix and jam takes things from other games and recreates them in unity and documents the whole process, a Really good way to learn things for me

sebastian lague goes over some more advanced stuff but also documents and walks through everything really well, really great videos and fun to follow along even if you have no idea what hes talking about. he also has a few that are like “build a game from scratch”

the next layer of interpreting "all" rvb content includes the psas. psas are extra canonical content where the "actors" from the popular webseries red vs blue talk to the audience about a given subject. there's a few psa videos that were created alongside each season, but they can be watched whenever since they have no effect on the plot. i dont actually know of a good playlist for these this one seems to have the most videos. i think some psas might actually be lost media rn last i checked i should see if i can do anything about that

finally there's also deleted scenes and general rvb bonus content exists (like the end of season 5 which had several alternate joke endings) if you're interested in watching that. the person who uploaded journal #4 seems to have uploaded a lot of that and (sighs) hopefully i'll have some of that stuff up myself soon in a google drive or something

EDIT: forgot that i’d also consider this deleted rvb scene mandatory content. it was only cut because burnie made the decision that he didn’t want to mention tex too many times in season 6 in order to make it a better entry point for new fans. i think this was a horrible idea honestly and the added context about why church changed his mind at the end of the season is fantastic

Well anyways: (long post, cant seem to put a read more rn will edit later)

The Henry Stickmin Collection is a series of games that were all made with Flash and have been remastered (with the exception of Completing the Mission, which is exclusive to THSC). They all follow the journey of Henry Stickmin, an amateur thief who attempts to rob a bank, but ends up getting caught and sent to prison. From there, you are able to make choices for him, providing him with items that range from technical gadgets to video game references. With the exception of Breaking the Bank which acts more as a prologue to the entire story, every game has multiple endings based on your choices.

There are usually 3 ways to categorize each of the endings. There is The Sneaky way, in which Henry does the mission with few to none people actually noticing his deeds, The Agressive way, where he does the exact opposite and does it mostly with brute force and even killing others, and The Chaotic way, which is like the Agressive option, but Henry usually creates chaos and casualities through 3rd party intervenings instead of directly causing them.

Escaping the Prison and Stealing the Diamond are both simple enough. Whether you do it the sneaky, agressive, or chaotic way (although there really isn't a "chaotic" way in EtP), Henry always escapes to steal the diamond.

Infiltrating the Airship is where things get a bit more bigger. Here is where the Toppat Clan are introduced. The Toppat Clan is a big and secretive crimimal organization where each member wears a top hat. The Government (also a main faction in the series) kidnaps Henry at the start of the game where they offer to pardon all of his crimes if he manages to take down the Toppats in their main base, The Airship. From here things split more and the endings aren't as similar to each other than before. Depending on what the player's pick, Henry can either take down the Toppats (whether alone or with Charles, a goverment pilot and one of the main characters in the games), join them and become their leader, or ignore both factions and instead go after the Toppat's ruby in their vault.

Fleeing the Complex is similar to how ItA works as well. After the events of ItA, Henry will end up at The Wall, a massive prison in Canada, run by the cold and ruthless Dmitri Petrov. He also ends up waiting in a cell with someone else, a woman named Ellie. Again, he has mutiple options at the start. One is to rush out of the prison by himself, while Dmitri personally hunts him down. Another is to get help from Ellie to escape, and either help her too or abandon her. The last two depend on your choices from ItA. After getting inside a room with a cellphone, you can either get help from the Goverment or the Toppat Clan. No matter what however, you always end up escaping the complex (in one way or another).

The last game in the series is Complete the Mission. At the very start, you get to pick what ending you get at the start by combining the endings from ItA and FtC together. Ok I'm going to be real honest rn I don't know why this ask became so informational and serious and at this point i have no more energy to keep that up so I'll just say a few more things

Each game lets you right click on minor characters to get their bio cards. Its really fun to try to get all of them since theres like over 400 bios, 75% of them being extremely minor characters. Realy goes to show how Puffballs (the person who made the game) put in lots of effort for the little details

It's stupidly funny (/pos) most of the time. I just really cant get over how amazing the comedic timing is

One of the core aspects of THSC are the fails. There's so many ways to fail in the games and they're usually so fucking funny

I didnt get to talk abt this because I was only goimg over the main points but like. GOD I fucking love the toppat leader, Reginald, so fucking much he is such a rat bastard and I care so much abt him. Do you know who else I care about? His Right Hand Man, who doesnt have a name but is so goddamn badass and great. You know who else I care about? So many other characters I didnt talk about because theyre not that important into giving a summary for.

Like I said before, the games are so fucking funny, they have impeccable comedic timing

do you have recommendations on where to start listening to fob ? i want to get into it but i’m kinda overwhelmed by everything they did and i’m Lost

ok fob was my first love, but i stopped listening to them until this past year, so ill give a quick over view of the albums so you can see which is you ~vibe~ because they evolve a lot,

i focus a lot on vocals/lyrics, im not a technical kinda guy this is just how i feel and what i can tell, it might be wrong

i got into fob with save rock and roll, theres a music video for each song that tells a story (movie esque), so honestly i recommend watching them in order and listening that way, its a good display of their overall talents/influences

take this to your grave is the first album (technically), angsty and stereotypical 'emo', maybe the "heaviest" album. patrick sounds starchy, pete does a lot of screaming, almost entirely guitars and drum based, the songs all sound pretty similar,

from under the cork tree is still heavy, pretty emo + guitar based, but more produced for lack of better words. they come more into their own style, definitely more cohesive as a band, patrick starts to use his "soul voice", less starchy

infinity on high is where they really start to do their own sound, a lot more emotional, the songs differ from each other, showcasing more of what each member is best at. focusing on portraying certain emotions for a song, they start to have 'slower' songs or sections

folie a duex is the worst album ever made it hurts me so much, they go a lot of directions, and do a lot of things. still a lot of alt influence, starts to get closer to gospel, but honestly i cant give an overall descriptor here, its my favorite album, each song relates to the last but is entirely different, guitar based, but they incorporate a ton of other shit, instruments +features

save rock and roll they go back to rock roots in some songs, but also exhibit genres like electronic + rap (bad wording), also a lot of features (blondie, big sean, elton john, more) . unlike the next album, the influences work really well together.

american beauty/american psycho is the balance point of emo/electronic, i listened to this a lot when it came out, but not much since. the balance limits it somewhat, in mania they actually explore and execute the electronics, in this one the guitar seems to fight with it.

mania departs from the guitars/emo influence, honestly i forced myself away from bandom before this was released, and dont have much time clocked in. pretty diff sound then everything else, very electronic sound, drum and bass kinda stuff, cohesive overall, tpain stylized-autotune vocals.

i can rec diff songs as jumping off points based on what you like if you want too, i did this off memory, but if i could listen through for specific stuff bc ill take any excuse to listen to fob
