I had a lot of feelings and a lot of thoughts throughout the Arcane finale, and one of my first immediate impressions was that it was sort of disappointing that Vi and Jinx, specifically, were only marginally involved in the actual resolution of the conflicts. Like sure Vi is taking part in the fight from the beginning, Jinx comes in at a critical moment and helps the fight take a turn, but it felt like they were supporting actors in the whole thing. The eldritch shit going on was Viktor and Jayce (with a blessed side of Ekko 🙏 we stan) and the political/military side was Mel and Cait. Jinx and Vi were doing their own thing meanwhile.

But on second thought, that's okay, and it's probably the point. Vi and Jinx's story is ultimately one of very personal, individual scale. It's a private story about people who get caught up in things going on in a far bigger scale (Hextech, Piltover and Zaun's conflict, Noxian invasion). At points they are actively involved in the bigger picture, but the beginning and the end of their story is about their family and nothing else, and that's okay. Vi and Jinx are the purely human side that give weight to Viktor's eldritch purposes and Ambessa's invasion. They don't need to be a decisive factor in the greater picture for their story to be Arcane's core.

Like, yeah sure some eldritch horror almost took over humanity. But now these two young women are facing the last part of their personal tragedy, and there's grief and there's love, and isn't that why it was important to save humanity in the first place?

Specifically because Nojima is on Twitter, I almost want the CA's and A stans to keep bitching and complaining and spreading their lies. Because he sees their BS all the time, and he's debunked a lot of CA and A arguments that have ever been made.

Like the CA's clamoring for a kiss; or claiming that their high-five in Remake was super special awesome and totally romantic; or claiming that Cloti weren't actual childhood friends; or claiming that Cait Sith totally ships them together because of that fortune in TOTA in OG; or claiming that Cloud finds A's dumbass antics endearing and he opens up to her and defrosts because of her...

Only for Nojima to turn all of those claims and clamoring... and canonize them as Tifa and Cloti moments. And turning Barret, Yuffie and Cait Sith into extremely obvious Cloti shippers, and the entirety of Sector 7 as well.

And in turn, Nojima makes Cloud extremely intolerant of A and rejecting A openly, repeatedly friend-zoning A in both games and calling A weird 4 times in JP (3 times in EN). And the funeral date explicitly shows how incompatible and unsuitable CA really is, even in a world where Zack and Tifa don't exist and Cloud is still SOLDIER Cloud.

And the Remake (and, to a lesser extent, Rebirth) Ultimanias clearly show that Tifa's scenarios are canon and Cloud (despite still being SOLDIER Cloud at the moment) displays his true/real self only around Tifa; while A's scenarios are not canon to the plot, and he's suspicious of and annoyed and angry around A.

The more the CA's try to spread their bullshit, the more Nojima (and Nomura and Kitase) is going to canonize Tifa and Cloti moments instead, and such moments will be a blatantly high-key shade towards CA and A. It's literally a self-fulfilling prophecy that those idiots stupidly fall for, every single time.

Fun fact: Nojima follows an account that ss shit the dumdums say.

I wish they made the main quest harder to acces and finish, or to have more step to it... because once I played it one the experience wouldn't be the same. It so amazing discovering new location and being like 'I'm gonna explore that' so damn good.

The fallout franchise has one of the most beautiful heavy lore ridden world I've ever seen

I love the theme of change in the west coast trilogy and how strongly it contrasts the game's moto of "war never changes". I love how you can look at the changes to the NCR from shady sands to the republic but I also love how you can look at the Khans. People and factions do change, but waging war over petty dramas never does, you can escape it, but only if you admit you were wrong and change for the better.

I love the world and the characters. There is always some fucked up shit in the past that has a chance of snowballing into worse shit in the current time, like the  cazadores and the new plague. And when characters are written well, they have a chance of being the coolest part of the games, like with Nick Valentine/Hancock or any of the characters of New Vegas.

When things get creepy it's wonderful. More in the vein of Dead Money or the Glowing Sea please!

I love how in NV the apocalypse isn’t just the end of everything. There’s still culture! There’s towns! There’s just people vibing! It feels less like the apocalypse and more like a developed area that is experiencing a war. People moved on after 200 years. Because that’s what people do.

What have to sophie stans said now lol? Also what has the actress said that doesn't sit right with you?

So, a lot of her fans are arrogant and constantly saying terrible things about Madison, wishing her death, hoping Kevin will cheat on her with Sophie, calling her a puke, even downplaying her bulimia and almost death experience. They're also going as far as saying mean things about Caitlin herself and basically spamming and bullying their way with the show's and cast's social media so they will like their tweets about Kophie. There is this group of friends on twitter and they're completely obnoxious, they tweet mean things all the time and now whenever someone posts anything they're always like "WHERE IS SOPHIE?".

Alexandra has given me the impression she's not that better than those fans either, because the other day Justin asked people what they thought of Kevin and Madison on instagram and she commented something completely changing the subject to Sophie and ignoring Madison/Caitlin. On her current TV show, Virgin River, there is a love triangle among Mel (her character), Jack and Charmaine and she was joking that she hoped Charmaine would move away with her and Jack's children. Now I don't know if you're familiar with that show and honestly I don't even bother to watch it anymore, but the whole story is that Jack had a casual relationship with Charmaine for a while (I think it was two years?), but she developed feelings for Jack and he didn't reciprocate them, but kept sleeping with her knowing she hoped that would eventually change. And during this entire time he was hanging out with Mel, but he didn't make a move on her, he would flirt with Mel and then go to Charmaine for sex and she ended up getting pregnant. When she found out she sort of freaked out and was worried and considered leaving the town and raising the baby by herself. She ended up changing her mind on season 2, and the writers tried to make her a villain in order to be an obstacle to Mel and Jack, they changed a lot of things about her personality and behavior, but even so I don't think she was as bad as the writers and fans make it seem. A lot of her behavior was justified because Jack is just the epitome of a mediocre man at best, he has been all about Mel since day one but he would still go to Charmaine, he says he loves his children (it turned out to be twins) and he barely shows any excitement about them, he even tries to play cop and go talk to drug dealers etc and risk his own life when he has two children in the way... ANYWAY, you get the point. A lot of Charmaine's attitude could be explained by her awkward situation, loneliness, hormones and everything she is dealing with and handling all of it and her high-risk pregnancy basically all by herself. It's just that the writers wanted to bring some female rivalry in order prop a basic man, but it doesn't take a genius to see what they did and know how unfair that was and that both characters and Lauren (the actress that plays Charmaine) deserved more. 

So Alexandra joking about her leaving the town with the twins and completely ignoring and failing to show some respect and support to her fellow actresses and their characters, considering she spent a lot of time with Lauren and knows Caitlin in person, is just... Disappointing. And she's even talked about how Jack and Mel get married and have children in the books that the show is based on, she knows her character is the protagonist, Mel and Jack are the main couple on the show, that she is safe and her character's story and her romance with Jack are guaranteed, it wouldn't have hurt to try to show some support for an actress that was clearly done dirt by the writers. Specially because they're also actresses and she's been in a similar position before, I've never watched The Walking Dead, but from what I've known she played a temporary love interest for the protagonist, even though the main relationship of the show was the guy and another woman’s. So she knows how it feels like to be in the 'middle' of the main couple or to play a new love interest in the middle of a show's run, when the audience is divided part of it is already attached to previous relationships and not willing to give a new actress/character/romance a chance and you have to work hard to convince them and have them warm up to your and your story... I was expecting her to show more empathy towards them. 

And now she is constantly posting fanmade content regarding Kevin and Sophie, the new season of Virgin River was released NOT EVEN A MONTH ago, the show has been renewed, she was or is still filming its third season, I checked and most of the recent stuff she's tagged on are about Mel, Mel and Jack and VIRGIN RIVER as a whole and she is specifically looking for and posting about Kevin and Sophie. AND NOW, of all moments. She could've done it on season 4, when Kevin was single, she actually got to show up and Sophie was mentioned a few times. Why is she doing it NOW, when the show she currently stars on has a new season, is renewed, being filmed and generally thriving? And This Is Us is in a totally different place, with Kevin being engaged to Madison, Caitlin being promoted to series regular after committing to it for four years and the two characters about to become parents of twins? And she knows they won't end up together, so why is focusing on Kophie and not Virgin River all of a sudden? And she is THE PROTAGONIST there and she knows Mel and Jack are ENDGAME. It just comes across as greedy, calculated and insensitive and like she’s not content with what she already has. 

And Caitlin is so laid-back, she barely posts anything, she rarely gives interviews, she only talks and posts about Madison when she actually is involved in the story, she is working crazy hours as much as the rest of the cast in the middle of a PANDEMIC and when she has a baby that is not even one yet (btw, Caitlin and Mandy deserve some serious applause for balancing all of it with motherhood and pregnancy)... She deserves more respect from people, specially from someone that can relate to her as an actress, woman, mother etc. It's also not even a situation where she misses the cast, because she could've shown it by commenting on different pictures and wishing them well, she didn't have to specifically comment on something about Kevin and Madison's relationship and ignoring Madison/Caitlin and trying to change the subject to herself, she could've said something like "I have a soft spot for Kophie, but these two look cute and I'm excited to see more of you and Cait!", there are a lot of ways she could've handled the situation better while still being sensitive and acknowledging Caitlin's importance. It isn't even like she was reminiscing about her old characters and TV shows either, because she is only posting about This Is Us.

Anyway, I'm not saying they have a feud or Alexandra is the worst person in the planet or anything, but lately she is coming off as opportunist and selfish to me. It just seems that she fails to understand the fact she's not part of something anymore and have some humility and show appreciation for someone other than herself. AND SHE IS CURRENTLY STARRING A SHOW THAT'S BEEN THRIVING AND RENEWED!!!!!!!!!! So actions like these just give the impression that one show where she is the star and her happy ending is basically guaranteed is just not enough for her, that she wants everything and can’t even respect other people’s places. And that absolutely doesn't sit right with me.

Hey, there! I’m relatively new. I found the show on Valentine’s Day. Like season 1. I had no clue the new season premiered that night as well! It took 10 seconds and I was hooked. By the time I caught up to watch the show live, we were on the stables episode. So that was my first episode I watched live 🤗

Cait quickly became a HUGE inspiration to me and I feel quick for the woman lol. Eveything about her is just incredible.

My tumblr is dedicated to the show and Cait specifically but I do love Sam! I think he’s super sweet and had a really good vibe about him. I like Sam a lot I just really love Caitriona 😂 so no worries, I won’t be talking poorly about Sam!

2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

I’ve had some notes for an IT de-aging fix-it fic for the longest time 😅

Richie attempts some witchcraft to bring back Eddie and Stan, some kind of spell that promises to change things back to the ~way they were~ or whatever. But obviously, he fucks it up. As thirteen-year-olds, all they know is that they’ve woken up in the future. Hijinks ensue as the rest of the losers piece together that 1989 Richie, Eddie, and Stan are on the loose in 2017 Derry.

I’d still love to write it, bc imagining the rest of the losers trying to wrangle the kids makes me laugh. But there’s no way I can start anything new until I make some headway on the funny fruit sequel and my big bang fic 😂

(I also have some plans for an angst-fest deadlights fics that’s a bit darker than what I usually write 😬😬😬)

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

“Welp, you caught me, Bev. I’m a big ‘ol fucking queer with a big fat gay crush on dear, dead Eddie. It’s–fuck!”

Bev punches him in the arm.

“Stop that. The earth won’t stop spinning if you take your emotions seriously for a second.”

“You don’t know that.”

“Richie–”

“You know, I think that you seriously injured my–”

“You’re allowed to grieve him, Richie.” She says so gently, but the words still feel as if they’ve struck him in the chest. An ice pick that sinks all the way through to his spine. “You’re allowed to grieve for what never was. And you’re allowed to grieve for your privacy right now because no matter what I can see you thinking, this isn’t your fault.”

Richie zeroes in on what’s easy right now. Eddie isn’t easy, but blaming himself is a groove he can sure get into. “Really? Because if I’m keeping score correctly, it seems like I got wasted and blabbed our supernatural trauma on YouTube where it’s gone viral and will certainly follow us for the rest of our lives, if not guarantee us a Groupon to the nearest loony-bin. So, all signs seem to be indicating that this is squarely my fault.”

Bev sighs at him. It’s fairly obvious that she’s not going to get Richie to talk about Eddie in any meaningful capacity right now, not while they have the video hanging over their heads.

“I don’t care, trashmouth. I don’t blame you and you can’t make me.”

Richie scowls halfheartedly at her. “Don’t you worry, we’ll get there.”

“Ugh, you’re so emotionally constipated. Anyway, we need to–”

This is from you’d almost believe it, and G O D i need to finish this fic. I lost my groove with it, but I still really love the idea.

But anyway, I tend to struggle with dialogue. Specifically with dialogue tags and trying to make every flow and sound natural for the characters. I always find Richie’s tone and humor really hard to nail, and I was pretty happy with how he came across in this bit

That’s a really good point RMJD made. The Cait Stans on Twitter are going on about how she “doesn’t owe fans anything” and I partially agree with that. But unless these ppl are seriously dense they had to have known this would happen. They all specifically mentioned where they were in their posts. If you want a private wedding as a celeb you go dark on social, everyone knows that?

Everyone does know that. I’m sure Cait Stans will argue that she and her friends didn’t need to go dark as long as they didn’t share pictures of Cait and The Groom so it was still pRiVaTe. Without any pictures of the happy couple, we get pics from Cait’s last public appearance. 

They had a wedding (or a “wedding”) for this type of press? She doesn’t seem happy so if I don’t know who she is, I don’t feel compelled to learn more. I know people did do some Google-searches on her but her wedding campaign is so lifeless I can feel her ambivalence through the interwebs.

I loved the podcast! Once again, you ladies have done a phenomenal job! I really loved the point you made about Barry stans "loving" him, but not internalizing his POV. They spend their time saying that Iris is hurting him and that he should love Caitlin. IDK how it can be made any more clear that Iris is important to him and loves him. Maybe it's her level of importance in his life that sets them off. Also, how they reacted to Cisco lashing out vs. Cait lashing out was interesting. It's racism.

Thanks, love! So glad you enjoyed the podcast. And yes, antis are really made uncomfortable by how much Iris matters. I have a feeling some of them have probably never had to deal with a black woman taking up this much space in the narrative before and being so explicitly valued.

So ~technically~ we’re getting THREE Westallen weddings right? The first being the shotgun failed wedding at the church, then the actually big wedding where all the heroes come into town for and then the actual uninterrupted double wedding. I also love the writers amping up Iris’ anxiety about getting married to Barry before something else messes it all up and that anxiety coupled with what we know about the wedding getting crashed made me anxious for her lol. I could see her wanting to give up.

Seems like it! It’s kind of fun to finally see hyper, high-strung Iris considering she’s normally so chill. As a friend pointed out, this kind of explains why Barry thought that taking care of all the wedding plans would avoid her stressing out lmao.

I’m hopeful that we are getting a reception! Just not the same big party, but I will be shocked if they don’t do some type of gathering. Strangely, they are filming at a penthouse/strip club today. I wonder what that is about?!?! Do you know anything about it?

I believe that strip club filming was from last week, actually, but it’s the same place they filmed at for 4.05. Which leads me to believe it’s Amunet’s lair, since she’s in 4.09 as well.

As for a reception, I am hopeful and confident that we will get some intimate moments between our couple and their family in Flash 4.08 and 4.09.

Technically, their family and friends are at their wedding, they just don’t make it through the ceremony. Like Clark/Lois on SV. I personally would love to see Barry privately ask Iris to dance when they’re on a break from battling in the crossover, haha. He can say ,”We didn’t get to have our first dance, so how about now, Mrs. West-Allen?”

Keiy alluded to his lines being cut on Twitter. I know a lot of people were theorizing that he specifically requested time off but I’m not sure about that. I don’t think they know how to balance any speedster that’s not Barry or a speedster villain. The Flash has always had any issue balancing individual characters arcs.

Yeah, the lines cutting thing was odd. But if they originally wrote lines for him that they later cut, then they had something in mind to do with him lol. My thinking is that if it was him being a speedster that they had an issue with, then why not have him give it up for a while and focus on him doing something else? He’s a regular not a guest star, so they would keep him around past his (in their eyes) expiration date if they wanted to.

I’m so confused. So is Keiy just gone until the crossover. Or is this a permanent situation post-crossover? They completely wrote him into a corner by making his exit be about how he’s not needed. :(

We won’t know until we either see him back in Vancouver or until someone from the show speaks up. I think they could write him out of that corner by having an emergency where they do need Wally, so they call him in.

We are all equally confused, but I would hope he’d make an announcement for our sake if he was. We know he’s back in the crossovers, at least.

favourite voice/singer: see this is very inch resting …. if u can’t tell, i’ve been analysing momoland a lot these past few days to make up for the whole year i was sleeping on them like a fool :// i think nancy’s the most consistent by far and has the most distinct vocal color. ahin has a rly cheerful voice that shines thru in “bboom bboom!” taeha has a nice vocal range but could use some development to avoid straining. jooe and nayun are also really consistent imo but it’s harder to identify their tones than it is for nancy. but jooe really won me over in “love sick” so i’d have to say her ://
