get beanie babied. Laika and Mars are both based on the classic bean bag pattern while Yue is based on Carrot the rabbit, which I think has a unique pattern? Menya isn't a TY brand toy at all and is instead one of those tiny Whimzy plushies that has velcro so you can wrap them around your finger. Road Boy is a beanie boo with big ass sparkly eyes because i thought it was funny. Also Mars has one of those little plastic star beads on their tail because I didn't know how to make the star look normal in plush form. And it's the type of thing I would have done to a beanie baby. Also there's a little clover on Menya's butt because Whimzy plushies had a little embroidered diamond on their butts

From the very beginning of this project I had this idea in mind where one of the Mickey variants would be a human woman named Mickie. The idea hasn't fundamentally changed from the start but I never really felt like it was the right moment, in a way, up until now, I guess lol. The colors on this were tough. I wanted this to evoke Steamboat Willie without outright placing it in black and white.

I am making 365 new versions of Mickey Mouse for the public domain and releasing them under public domain all year long.

Comm - Mummy Tummies (Species TF/TGs)

This week's comm comes by one @GobboBounce, and at a perfect time to observe Mother's Day and Mayternity in one, transformative swoop. Definitely a little bit outside my usual fare, but this was a fun experiment nonetheless! Here, we see a series of TF/TG sketches as yours truly tries a variety of enchanted rings, each providing a glimpse (or maybe a little more) at potential alternate lives in a series of non-human forms! What's more, quite a few of them seem to be expecting... I guess it's just dumb luck that most of these rings are linked with various mom-modes? In order, there's a total of eight alternate forms to see! A mare, a reindeer, a Koopa Queen, a monkey, a pig, a mouse, a rabbit, and an imp. Think any of them are worth staying around for?

Pondering one of my wips again, meant to finish it for mermay but never got around to finishing it

It's about Etho going up to somewhere cold to study the types of mers that live in colder climate, mers are frequently found in more tropical areas so researchers have been curious to find out how the colder climate mers have adapted

This is when Etho gets to meet Xisuma, an arctic char mer that was somehow convinced to let the researchers study him (who was easily convicted when he was offered the chance to learn more about humans)

Though they can't really verbally communicate, Etho is determined to learn some asl to talk to the mer, everything about him is really interesting

It ends with them getting to know each other, Xisuma being upset when Etho has to leave to go back home, though Etho is able to go back under the excuse of wanting to specialize in the research of cold climate mers
