Although I think it would make since if the events of the SoW series takes place after AvMs King episode... for some spoilers for SoW if you haven't read the officially leaked scripts or seen the fan made eps under the cut....

I think I would make since if sow takes place after the king ep because when Herobrine fought the Deathsinger (Ingressus) he fled after he saw his hand was bleeding, witch would imply that Herobrine is afraid of dying again. But that's just how I think it would make the most since if they where the same iteration of the character....

Oddworld-tober Day 18: Abe

Abe woke up early that day, like he did every day at RuptureFarms, the scent of industrial grime thick in the air, the steady hum of machinery already in full swing. He had grown used to the rhythm of it all: cleaning stalls, feeding the sows, and helping them through the more difficult parts of their pregnancies and even their births.

He spent much of his morning cleaning the pens, replenishing food troughs, and brushing the thick hides of the sows, he even spoke to them, feeling like they understood even though they couldn’t respond. Their big kind eyes giving the mudokon a sort of peace.

But today, everything was different. Several sows were in the line—that line. The one that led to the doors marked "PROCESSING," illuminated in bright, unforgiving letters above l heavy metal doors. The doors had always been there, usually closed, but Abe had learned to look away, to focus on the tasks in front of him. Still, seeing the sows standing there, waiting patiently in the line, something twisted in his chest. His heart pounded, but he didn’t know why. He approached them like he always did, moving through the rows of cattle, brushing them off, making sure they were calm before they were herded into the final chamber. When he reached Bertha, a sow with a big wet nose, his hand moved automatically to her ear, tracing the familiar curve of her tag with her name on it, a name he had scratched into the thin metal himself.

“Don’t be scared, it’ll be alright,” he patted her side and smiled at her “it’s not gonna hurt.” He had no idea if that was true, but he said it every time. Bertha gave a slow labored breath before her and the line of sows began their slow walk into Processing, their large hooves clomping on the metal floor as they each made their way through the glowing maw before them.

The sight of them walking into Processing was something Abe had grown used to seeing, but each time it chipped away a little more of his soul. Today, he felt particularly numb, staring after them as the doors slowly closed behind the last in line. The clang of metal sealing their fate echoed down the corridor. He didn’t move. He stood there, watching the now-empty space where they had been. A hollowness settled deep in his chest, but he didn’t acknowledge it. Not yet.

Abe turned away from the doors, ignoring the muffled sound of machinery, his feet heavy as he walked away. He then swallowed a lump in his throat and wiped the edges of his eyes when tears began to form

So there’s been an announcement that they’re doing more with songs of war.

There are definitely going to be some stand alone spin-off episodes and they might make a season 2 in future if it garners enough interest.

For those who are unfamiliar, Songs of war is a beautifully animated original fantasy series on YouTube by Squared Media (formerly Black Plasma Studios).

I cannot emphasise how stunning the works building and visuals are. Even if you’re not into Minecraft it won’t really affect your enjoyment.

It got cancelled a while back as there just wasn’t enough interest in it to justify making another series. Most of the original team have left the company now but this new director has gotten permission to work on stuff in the world of Sow.

Please support them by sharing news and watching the video. If you haven’t seen the first season definitely check it out. A fundraiser might come out at some point so keep an eye out if you can donate.
