I am overflowing with bus knowledge. New buses arrive here? You bet your ass I will be detailing every new facet about it including the implications of it arriving here and the larger knock on effects of the other buses and how they will be used. I am exploding. I have informants (beloved friends) who inform me of the latest bus news or sightings. I am like a cat to a bird outside the window as soon as I hear the slightest sound resembling a bus engine. Actually stupid. I have to stop what I'm doing to identify the bus then move on.

#i keep saying this but i'm a very green person i prefer using public transport bc it's better for the environment and more practical and #less stressful for me . or it SHOULD be.#but when i'm standing at the bus stop for 20min waiting for one of three buses i can take.#and none of them are coming to the point that i check the app to see if i missed a notif about a change in schedule.#that's when you lose me #the mayor BTW is supposedly very eco and loooves green politics to the point that he makes us use special (more expensive)#trash bags for non-recyclables. and yet he can't fix what actually matters #bc now you have me - one of the people who would prefer public transport - genuinely considering just learning to drive

#like. no joke. most (if not all) of them are soft!!!! carpeted!!!!! and comfy!!!!!!!!#and that’s just the regular seats!!!!! the special reserved seats are forward facing and!!!! they even have those little seat tray tables!!!#[insert home country]’s train seats are ruined for me now wtf i used to think that the wide new plastic seats were the best seats ever and—#and the structure of the train is p. great too ngl~~~~ like the seats are positioned a little ways back from the side divider thing #so there’s tons of standing space if you’re unlucky enough to not get a seat #but maybe that’s just my perspective bc the train cabins seem wider than [insert country]’s so maybe i’m too used to the cramped cabins idk #but g o d yes i understand you now midori the seat at the extreme end is the best most comfy seat ever fr #though!!!! another thing that made me 👁️👄👁️ about these trains is that!!!! eating and drinking (on trains) is not prohibited?????#like man. you’d get fined and get photographed + tabloidified in [insert country] if you did that here..#(if you get caught by some weird nitpicker who can’t mind their own business that is.)#but train exchanges are kinda complicated. ye a h. ig that’s one thing i miss about [insert country]’s trains. aside from the train fares.#m a n. train fares are so high here. bus fares too tbh. 170 yen for just two stops and all that..#but!!!! the seats are comfy so they get a pass from me~~~~~~~~~#the buses are tiny and cute thoughhhhh. but the boarding/alighting/fare system caught me off guard. ig i’m too spoiled by [insert country]#all things considered…. it was a really fun trip~~~~~ would’ve been better if i didn’t fall sick right off the bat though lmao #anyways!!!!!! happy kinyoubi my dudes~~~~~~~#inedible blubbering

i was so caught up in my disgust at the idea of working 8 hours at the office and spending 40+ minutes on commute that i'm only now realizing i can't take the same buses to and from the office. i'm gonna throw up

#i wanna quit fr #like. ok i have a strict policy against any sort of decision while on my period because i always always fuck it up instantly #but this makes me genuinely anxious. i dont like taking the bus alone at all and i specially dont like the idea of two separate routes #comprised of two buses each #i can go by train but thats the stupid route. i have a friend who walks to the station that i could probably go with but its stupid #walking 40 minutes at 8 in the morning just to get to the next leg of the journey... thats a joker origin story #ive a feeling of a burnout just waiting to happen #eight hours man. ten with commute. i barely work six at home bc i just cant do it. to get paid like i am?#i genuinely think im better off with a 'i work from home or dont work at all' ultimatum #god i really hate work i dont think ill be able to. keep going like this for 40+ years yknow #i AM just whiny and bitchy and lazy and anxious about being seen as a young woman alone but im also right

only in TFA? and some of the movies I think? most of the time they run on Energon, which changes forms in different continuities and media.

Most of the other tf fans in the notes are just saying 'no they run on energon, duh', but I think that only answers one of the questions here. Would Captain Planet think they're friends just because the fuel they use isn't a fossil fuel from earth? Sometimes energon is just a magical/scifi physical manifestation of electrical power and can be harvested from renewable resources(like g1 where they got it from dams and power plants and such). Other times it is a finite resource of magical crystals or glowing liquid that needs to be mined (series in the Aligned continuity and a lot of assorted media use energon as a source of the Autobot/Decepticon war in the first place, it's finite and Cybertron is DYING from energon harvesting). Also there might be some continuities where energon itself is a renewable resource or has sustainable alternatives? (synth en in TFP and some post-war comics touch on this, as well as Earthspark's Terrans running from a new fuel that seems to be generated by Earth through magic.)

Energon is usually shown to be clean-burning or at least have less exhaust than is typical of gasoline irl (That is probably mainly due to animation simplification, but optimus will usually have one or two moments spitting smoke from his exhaust pipes per series, as if he runs diesel like a real semi truck.) Energon seems to usually work as a combustible fuel (it explodes), but then again its not really clear how much of transformer physiology is electronic and how much is mechanical, but I don't think any series have stated transformers have a separate battery like cars do so I think it all is supposed to be powered by energon? Sure a transformer can scan and change vehicle mode to an electric model, but they would still be taking in energon and utilizing that resource the same as someone with a diesel or even coal-burning alt mode! (I dont know all that much about cars and i dont know every tf series feel free to correct me.)

Captain Planet would probably have a different opinion series to series, but for the most part he would have to contend with the fact that the Transformers are sentient alien lifeforms without the ability to change fuel source; their carbon emissions are a necessity of life like animal methane production. So unless energon in that context is clean and sustainable/has clean and sustainable alternatives, they could very well be enemies that Captain Planet feels the need to destroy.

#otherwise they could have a crossover episode focused on 'reduce' part of ''reduce reuse recycle''#where the transformers learn about transportation infrastructure and sustainable power and clean up pollution or something #bc fossil fuels probably cant be completely eliminated at least not all at once. but a huge portion can be replaced with sustainable fuel #like solar and wind can generate electricity #and we can make electric trains and buses and stuff #hasbro has i think fully switched to biodegradable packaging at this point (or are very close to)#but transformers the toyline are mainly plastic toys and rely on fossil fuels to be produced #so like.. i think the core ideal of plastic toys shaped like cars that go to war over scifi oil is still very anti-captain-planet #also the decepticons having this baggage while also sort of staging a conquest have very colonial connotations #hasbro please make a movie/series that dissects the environmental implications of the transformers thank #i know in earthspark terrans run off special magic nature water or whatever but thats just excusing these new characters from the issue #yes i have way too many thoughts on this but in my defense i live/grew up in in Oil State USA and have Opinions on car dependancy #dont ask me about my cybertron headcanons i have a goddamn folder and thats only what ive typed out #transformers #energon #essay?#long post
