#speaking as a younger sibling

I get asked alot where I'm from bc I don't actually have an Irish accent and it always leads to the awkward moment after bc people just dont believe me when i say "im from Ireland i grew up in county [redated]" so I've started turning the question around on people asking them where they think I'm from and it's been pretty fun in particular today when I had two workmen around at the same time one saying I sounded "vaguely American" while the other said I sounded "nuteral polite english"

I know that it's common fanon belief to see Starlo as the younger sibling between him and Orion, but I actually like the idea of Starlo being the older brother and what it means for his family dynamic. Generally, the older sibling is expected to be the more responsible and mature sibling in the family. There's this expectation that the older sibling sets an example for the younger sibling(s) and that they'll look after the family/business once the parents get too old to do so themselves. So, what does it mean when the older sibling sorta betrays those familial expectations by behaving immaturely and ditching the family to do their own thing?

I'm trying to figure out how to put this into words in a clear and concise way, but I feel like if it's a case of Starlo being the younger brother, then there's this sorta "Ah, that's just the younger brother acting like a kid, y'know how it is. He'll grow out of it" dynamic, whereas if Starlo is the older brother, then it's more of a "Okay, he should've grown out of this by now, why's he still acting like this? Even Orion is more mature than him; what is going on?" sorta deal. (This frustration would be especially felt by Orion, who has to pick up Starlo's slack in his stead because his older brother isn't mature enough to work like he's supposed to!!!)

These are just personal musings, don't take my word as gospel! You can still do tons of interesting things with the Sunnyside family while having Starlo be the younger brother and Orion the older one. I just find myself gravitating more towards seeing Starlo as the older sibling.

He’s that one weird sibling you always have to teach stuff too despite them having more potential than you and you’re just stuck with it.

Zane is not mentally older than Cole, or even Kai of were being honest here. Everyone is aware of this fact and none of them have the heart to break it to him that no one considers him the oldest. Ancient nindroid or not.

ok i’m going to need you to meet me on the level of like. ron is sent back on an order time-turner mission to keep harry’s parents alive, or something similar.

everything is going swimmingly - its wonderful and grief-inducing to see young sirius, young remus at hogwarts - but this is ron. and i think, ever since learning about the locket, something just doesn’t sit right with him about the idea of a neglected younger brother saving the world and then dying alone & unacknowledged. ESPECIALLY because young!sirius reminds him so strongly of bill. nothing could be more offensive to ron than regulus’s ending.

so ron seeks him out. he meddles. and he knows that isn’t technically the POINT of his mission, but he just wants to know firsthand what regulus was LIKE. and he is entirely unprepared for how quiet and dear and noble and tragic regulus- neglected by everyone else- actually IS.

meanwhile regulus is completely blindsided. and has no idea how to deal with this jocular, handsome gryffindor (friends with the marauders! his brother!) who is CONVINCED - for mysterious reasons he cannot and will not explain - that despite all evidence to the contrary, someday regulus is going to be very brave. and that regulus is an unshakably good person.

I am actually (tentatively) intrigued by moonpaw's mind ghost. the idea of an entity that can make themselves look identical to you and appear to other cats (sometimes?) and maybe do nefarious things with your face is a fun spooky concept.

Not everything you see here on the internet is the full picture. It may come as a huge surprise to you but I don't show the entirety of my personality here. The fact I even have to say that to someone who I assume is older than me is laughable. You'd think for someone who thinks they can spot a minor, they'd be smart enough to know that.

Every time i post something in this blog, I'm not thinking whether it's 'a true reflection of my soul' or whether 'I'm conveying my real self'. I'm not thinking any of that bullshit. I just try to think of a joke or do something entertaining so I can get a snort from another stranger on the other side of the planet. I admit most of them are a hit or a miss but I like making people laugh. I like getting a 'lmao' from another person, it's nice. And my art is just shit I draw during my free time. It's really not that deep. This is such an unserious blog.

Maybe, that's why you're saying I act like a minor? It's because I'm immature, overdramatic, over-the-top, or annoying? When we grow up do we just suddenly become just as miserable as you? Is that it? Everyone matures at a different age, some minors act more mature than me because of various circumstances. Oh, but they're adults, right? Cause they have more emotional maturity? Cause they act more professional? Cause they're more serious?
