I get asked alot where I'm from bc I don't actually have an Irish accent and it always leads to the awkward moment after bc people just dont believe me when i say "im from Ireland i grew up in county [redated]" so I've started turning the question around on people asking them where they think I'm from and it's been pretty fun in particular today when I had two workmen around at the same time one saying I sounded "vaguely American" while the other said I sounded "nuteral polite english"

#people usually find out i have a english mother and chalk it up to her #but if you heard my mother speak youd know we have different accents #and my 4 siblings (2 younger 2 older) all have irish accents which we have the same mother #surely she couldn't target the accent at me #anyway my best guess is that its something to do with the autism/adhd/dyslexia combo #but I can't find anything online to support that theory
