Thoughts

It’s hard to explain my thought process

A galaxy filled to the brim with stars bursting into life in an explosions of shapes and colors

All interconnected through delicately and painstakingly woven spiderwebs

And somehow I have to fit that immeasurable heaven through this here mouth?

Or put said thoughts to application through this here measly vessel that merely contains my soul?

Is it any wonder then that every attempt to try to explain or paint this expanse is woefully inept

Often coming out rushed, disorganized, random and even slightly crazed?

To the point it’s become my mark of ridicule? A quirk of mine for the rest of the populace to shake their heads with those wry smiles on their faces

Making me feel awkward and ashamed as I try desperately to explain the wonder that I experience

And yet knowing my poor attempt will never do its grandeur justice, and so I end up just falling silent.

Can you imagine the fervor in which it takes to try and contain this? Especially as it expands and fills with time

Can you imagine now my sense of wonder and awe throughout the years of my attempted endeavors at said containment

When someone ends up taking the time to ask

“Hey.

Talk to me.

What’s going on inside that beautiful mind?”

I thought people were just headcanoning Jadzia as bisexual holy shit!! She made out with that woman! On screen! Which I'm making a big deal out of but it warmed my heart so much that it wasn't just subtext and was in fact the entire episode!! They didn't even have a B-plot I love that they just focused on Jadzia falling in love with a woman (the whole trill falling in love with the host of a past lover thing being taboo was most certainly an allegory for the attitude toward queer people at the time, being that it was the 90s) ahhh!! I didn't expect the writers to actually have a genuine portrayal of a lesbian relationship! Even if it didn't work out I'm still real happy!!

not for gatekeeping however i do think people should be handed like a pamphlet explaining fandom etiquette and how these ecosystems thrive before they’re allowed in fandom spaces. fully understand what youre signing up for before you come in trying to fundamentally change how fandom functions
