Tumblr, we need your help!

Hi all, I'm making this post to inform everyone about a user that currently goes by the name @/basedhartman. This person is notorious in agere and therian spaces, however, they aren't so well known outside of these niche communities.

In the past, Basedhartman has shown their hatred towards multiple groups including disabled people, age regressors, LGBTQ+ people, anyone who isn't Christian, and many, many more. This user has been harassing others for many months now, coming back with a new account every time.

Most recently, they were banned after they exposed minors to real images of gore on their blog. As members of the platform, we can't allow this abhorrent behaviour to continue.

Please block and report this user. Reblog so we can spread the word and put an end to this. I'll be tagging a number of some of the more popular blogs (and some others too) on this site so this message can be spread to as many people as possible.

Thank you for reading; let's make Tumblr a safe place for everyone.

Me and my partner are in a bit of a disagreement. He doesn't want any fire type pokémon as he views them as inherently dangerous. I asked about other pokémon that can learn fire moves and he was visibly uncomfortable too. Is there any way to convince him that fire types are not more difficult to keep than other types? He currently has a lotad, snom and a scutterbug. I currently have a chingling and wanted a rescue growlite from a local shelter...

that's kind of a tricky situation. fire types do require some specialized care and preparation that some other types don't. you do have to undergo some amount of fire-proofing.

now, growlithe in particular are one of the less difficult fire-types to prepare for, as they've been bred for many generations to bark or bite more often than using their flames. that doesn't mean they don't need fireproofed spaces- they do still sometimes put out fire on accident, such as when they get sick or the occasional fiery sneeze- and i always recommend crating or balling them at night if they live inside. but they're considered to be a low fire risk relative to other fire types.

that being said...i'm not a relationship counselor, but i think you should maybe talk with your boyfriend about why he's so opposed to fire types. i'm not saying there's necessarily something going on there, but if he's that uncomfortable with even the thought of a pokemon just knowing a fire type move, there might be a deeper reason.

“Okay, so! Take two of the snomurice video. First step here is the rice cooker: I put in a cup of rice and then a cup and a half water. I’m using a Johtohan brand, so the ratios are a little different. Next up, I’m making mine with tofu. It’s extra firm and already pressed, so I’m going to take about an ounce of it and slice it up before tossing it in the pan with olive oil. If you don’t use ounces, then kindly get fucked because it takes too much damn space in my brain just to memorize one recipe and I’m not happy about doing this process twice.”

Her hands move, carefully slicing the tofu into wedges before scraping them into the pan and adding olive oil. It’s clear that this is taking a lot of concentration. 

“You can do whatever conversions you need, that’s too much math for me. Or use meat if you like. Anyways, I also like to fry up some mushrooms, but those go separately. I just grab a handful of those, and I get them pre sliced. I know, I know, joy in the act of creation, but there is also joy in my hands not cramping the fuck up. I swear I’m normally less pissy than this and I really do want to make a cooking video to share, I’m just frustrated and pissed that the last one wasn’t recorded.”

There’s more swearing and a metallic clatter before she returns with a rice cooker and a wide bamboo paddle. 

“Okay, so now it’s time to start mixing. Put the sautéed tofu and mushrooms into a bowl, then scoop the rice onto the top. Add in onion powder, the original recipe calls for an onion but that’s bullshit because the texture of those sucks and you can get the flavor in less obtrusive ways. Then, five tablespoons ketchup and one teaspoon Worscht— Worchesh— I’m not going to fucking try. You people can read the label.”

A bottle of worcestershire sauce is plunked in front of the camera.

“Okay. So now it’s time for the omelette. Everyone has their opinions on what sort of egg is best to use, but I’m just using one big one. You can use two normal sized ones if you prefer. You gotta pick out the little bits of protein on either side of the yolk to make it smoother, then you kinda whisk it up. Shiiiiit fuck I should have done this in a bowl or something, it wants to cook and I’m not done mixing— STOP COOKING YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER. Fuck. Anyways, lid on, cook down for a bit. Don’t let your guard down and lean on the stove, that’s how you get a horrendous burn that makes you dissociate for days. Which is kind of embarrassing. It scarred and I kinda prefer having badass scars. What the fuck is this, huh? It’s shaped like you could identify the stove just by looking at my skin. Anyways, now you scoop some of the mixed up filling into the middle and shape it like a football— not a Galarian one, you clods, I’m Unovan. Press the egg around it, and then flip it onto a plate. Poke at it until you get the spikes of the snom, and then add some more filling onto one end and shape it with the paddle so it makes the head, with little mushroom eyes. Last, drizzle more ketchup on it. Congratufuckinglations, snomurice. This took far too long and I’m still pissy about getting a stove scar. Good fucking night, I’m going to bed.

Bruv sit down cause this is going to be a list. The people below are the ones I admire, or WELL some of the ones because this could go for a bit. And note these are in no particular order, so the first doesn’t mean the best and the last doesn’t mean the least. I love all these peeps and admire ‘em equally.

We startin’ with my main man Ethan at @hopefromadoomedtimeline . I wake up in the morning and hope my portrayals are half that good and that ain’t even glazin him. Go on his blog and see it for yourself, we love DBZ but let’s not lie, damn show has more holes in it that spongebob and my boy here has made wonderful HCs to compensate. Really putting that unique spin on the dude.

The writer that brings me angst and I always come for more, my homie Koko @kiealer . Everytime when she be showing me her wonderful art I feel that spark that I used to have when I was young to pick up a paper and go draw somethin’ but..nah the skill ain’t there anymore but she does inspire me to do better at my manga coloring. 

Homie here that’s just pure chaos on my list, it’s my homegril T @acoldsovereign . She does bring me the angst too but usually it’s just covered with a lot of bullshit moments, add a little comedy into the mix. She’s soo great with her writing and it inspires me to do better. Really all I need to do is get better at bein descriptive AND not to mention my grammar. 

It wouldn’t really be my blog if I’m not saying Tazzy’s @dragvnsovl praises. The fact that this homie o’ mine writes RADITZ, NAPPA AND WHO? The OG GOAT YAMCHA, that inspired me to throw Krillin onto my multi. Always loved him and really he just..that’s my guy and she really do doing great with her muses too that I hope I can do the same for my multi..when I’m not too lazy.

These are my homies that always gimme a little inspiration everyday. But you think I was done??! There's @swordsxandxsakuras  who took an already known muse and said fuck it, let’s go canon divergent with this bih and basically turned Nezuko in somethin’ that works for her. The bravery and strength t’ do that on a public space like Tumblr? Nah i’d be caught lacking. Then there’s @eternalbxtterfly Snow who’s given me Elise’ smile for years now. What little time my muse gets to spend with @aceparagon  muse is time well spent too, and I’m really biased when it comes to Bishamon faces. Don’t get me started on my girl Rena’s muse. @zorkaya Has been inspiring your boy with his villain play because she does write a good villain as well. 

You think I was finna finish this segment without mentioning  my snom sis @universestreasures . Girl here has inspired me when it came to the romance genre. I still feel like it’s my weakest genre but I can tell you she’s helped me feel a little more confident in starting ships now. Oh can’t forget about Chai @infintasmal  . Aspire me to be a better Sinbad because she was THE PERF Ja’far for him. My homie Meli @crimsontwins  back when I REALLY was deep into Genshin lore, inspiring me to learn MORE and more about the game in order to make our roleplay that much nicer. I think I might have gotten to half of my homies but man, imma have to put a long post warning.

Help my family. War is devastating. There is nothing left to live. No schools, no universities, no home, and no dreams. All dreams have been shattered. I hope for help before it is too late

I keep my tumblr very personal, more of a space to engage with my non advocacy based interests like snoms and the magnus archives. That is a hard line for me so this is the only post on any current irl war that I am going to be making here on tumblr. I do that plenty on my instagram, I need this distinction for my mental health. So to make my stance clear:

I stand with Ukraine, I stand with Palestine, genocide is a horrible thing that should not exist but it does and is happening with both of these wars, I know horrible shit is also happening in Bangladesh and Syria but I don't have the mental capacity to follow them as intently so I will not talk on them for my view will be uneducated. Especially the Gaza strip of Palestine is suffering hard. The Israeli Government and Russian Government do not speak for all their people, I hold out hope that there are people in these countries that will stand up against these horrible actions orchestrated by them. The war in Palestine is far removed from religion, Jewish people are usually lovely and Israel's actions are in no way their fault or responsibility. Israel is a country bound by the same Geneva Convention the rest of countries are bound by, doing horrible war crimes, and must be stopped and punished for them. Not given a single chance to do any more of them. As a Finn I understand hating on Russia but that hatred should not fall on Russian refugees, who do not support the war. It should fall on the Government, the ones orchestrating it all, the soldiers excecuting it. Not civilians.

I donated to UmmaRelief this spring and I will donate again to other similar organizations helping out in these areas once I have the situation to be able to do so. I urge you to do the same. Go find organizations that are helping that you feel safe supporting. If you need ideas you have your basics: red cross, unicef, ummarelief, doctors without boarders, etc. There's a bunch out there, just read the mission statement and make sure they're funding the things you want to fund.
